Consensus ( https://ripple.com/wiki/Consensus) might be a possible way too, unlike some of your other methods I am not so sure if it works for distributing currency units though, only to agree on a certain ordering. Also one of the most obvious ones is a central authority. Probably not that applicable to Bitcoin, works with a LOT of current systems though.

Well, to be honest I was thinking of applying for the position they wanted to open some weeks ago. Looking at people's responses here, I am VERY happy that I didn't.

Sorry for being a little sarcastic, maybe I just had a bad day. Or maybe it's just me.....
Have a good day
Giancarlo Bitfinex Team
I'm not convinced you've caught everything that was going on last night. Firstly, if you're rolling back trades that were profitable and those people withdrew their LTC (as they discussed while it was happening), then how much LTC in total are you compensating people? Also, swap numbers were crazy yesterday. My personal swap cost for my open BTC short went from $6 to $98 in five minutes - no explanation for that. ...but most importantly. We were trying desperately to contact support last night. Is there really no one online monitoring the system? ALL OF THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED IF YOU HAD SOMEONE ONLINE. ...sorry for all caps - I had a bad night as well. You are right. We cover 24/7 but yesterday the guy that was supposed to cover that time (John) was on a plane from Thailand to Hong Kong and the European guys were sleeping. I miscalculated his flying time and thought he was flying in the evening and not in the morning. This wont happen again in the future. Thanks and have a good day Giancarlo Bitfinex Team P.S.) I guess Murphy's law once more was applied.... <tinfoil hat> Or it was an insider job! </tinfoil hat>

No idea if it works, I don't have enough RAM and wrote my own parser based on armory-python.
Probably it works, try it out.
Seems like he wanted to delete all his posting history on bitcointalk (just like some others did too).

I recommend people new to crypto currency not get involved with ripple, it is centralized with backing from wealthy investors who surprising hold large amounts of ripple. Bitcoin, especially Litecoin and Doge is the crypto-currency to get involved with.
It looks like you confuse Ripple (the decentralized exchange) with XRP ("ripples") the native asset/cryptocurrency there. Since XRP are given away cheaply or for free, I would not recommend people to invest serious money in XRP - if you are just interested in them (or in trading them or other things on Ripple) they are probably the easiest cryptocurrency to get a hold of via computingforgood...

Also gratis Risiko und Arbeit übernehmen?
Wieso sollte man das tun?

Again, this already exists and is used to gamble millions of BTC already. What's wrong with copying one of the existing ones?

The exchange is kind of cool. You can trade BTC for XCP and other assets in a trustless manner.
Mit BTC kann ich's ja noch irgendwie verstehen - wie handle ich aber z.B. auch nur eine andere Kryptowährung wie LTC "trustless" dort?

Ripple seems much to my bewilderment to be pegged to around a 2 cent price level or 2 billion dollar market cap.
XRP are traded freely, if they are stable at that price that is just the general sentiment of the market. I doubt RippleLabs would waste USD to buy back XRP to get the price up if it falls below a limit.

I can't understand - is there a coin ripple as an independent coin and cryptocurrency, or it's just a platform to make p2p burse?
It is both: XRP ("ripples") are the native unbacked currency that reside on the Ripple payment network/exchange.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CircleA circle is a simple shape of Euclidean geometry that is the set of all points in a plane that are at a given distance from a given point, the centre. The distance between any of the points and the centre is called the radius. It can also be defined as the locus of a point equidistant from a fixed point.
A circle is a simple closed curve which divides the plane into two regions: an interior and an exterior. In everyday use, the term "circle" may be used interchangeably to refer to either the boundary of the figure, or to the whole figure including its interior; in strict technical usage, the circle is the former and the latter is called a disk.
A circle can be defined as the curve traced out by a point that moves so that its distance from a given point is constant.
A circle may also be defined as a special ellipse in which the two foci are coincident and the eccentricity is 0. You probably mean something else... got a link or any other info besides a single common english word?

Nothing wrong there, though the chances are about as good as with vanitygen (maybe a bit faster, if you directly attack the key and don't have to compare addresses) so far.

Where do I find the Referral code to give discount to someone? I remember some people distributing them. Now I have some friends who want to join and I promised them a referral code.
Thanks
check out my signature for example.

Well... there already is a multicoin client that already does this since a long time.

Since many coins use the same ECDSA curve, your private keys should work in any of these "currencies" - they might just hash into different addresses.
