No, the 2 balances displayed are once for your trading wallet (~14) and once for the exchange (~1.8) wallet. Also, if you actually care to read what is written on that screenshot(!) that you posted: This is your available balance. If you have limit orders, open positions, pending loans or lent funds, this will decrease your available balance. This means you have ~14 USD in your trading wallet, all of which are currently in use (covering for positions for example, maybe you still have money borrowed from someone?). I am unsure if they do now just round up since people depositing less than 0.01 BTC were complaining their funds were gone... The exact balance however is the one that is correct. Once you have 0 open loans or positions, you will see all your funds down to the satoshi in there. If I had to guess at it, that's the reason why everyone is

I am actually also working on charting sites and so far there are no real Open Source ones that I found and the closed source ones don't really care to invest the work implementing yet another API to get a handful of Bitcoiners who want to trade 200 USD... What trading/charting software would you like to use and is there an API available to stream data to this software that one can use freely? (e.g. Bloomberg, OpenMAMDA...) You could also use MetaTrader4 or MetaTrader5 if Bitfinex's API is compatible, it has really nice charts: http://www.metatrader4.com/http://www.metatrader5.com/Other Exchanges use it and everybody loves it ! Metatrader is NOT an open API (they sue people writing servers for it and their business model is more or less forcing people to use their server software and pying for their consultants to connect it to your exchange). It doesn't say anything about opening orders, depositing anything besides "EgoPay"... whatever is NOT on there does not have a fee.
Thanks for the false information and no one correcting it. I had unused funds and just got charged $21 out of no where when i logged in. I don't know what it is, but it must be that. I dont have any open positions. giancarlo or raphael, may i get a refund for being charged a fee for unused borrowed funds? It automatically gets added plus its never stated in the fee schedule, AND i'm told in this thread that i am not charged for it and no one corrected that false statement. thanks. You did not get charged any fee on that, you got charged INTEREST - this is paid to the person you borrowed from, not Bitfinex. Edit: If you borrow something, you have to pay interest no matter if you trade with it or not, as it is you now to decide what happens with that money. Otherwise lenders would just borrow all money in the market to drive up interest rates. How would you feel if someone borrows from you, but then does not pay anything because he actually didn't need the money after all?! |

1) That would be likely on Ripple itself. To get BTC on there, one of the easiest ways is DividendRippler, as they require no AML stuff. If you are already using Bitstamp, you can just withdraw BTC to your Ripple address once you set up a trust line. 2) What do you need the charts for? A general overview is possible with the 2 you mentioned, something like bitcoinwisdom for watching more of a live ticker is yet to emerge though. |

Gyrsur hat es offenbar nicht ganz begriffen, was Bruteforcing ist und dass man für eine Zeichenkombination aus Groß- und Kleinbuchstaben nicht gerade lange brauchen wird... und dass das mit einem Angriff auf SHA256 nichts zu tun hat.
der grundgedanke war, dass er seine geheime antwort zweimal hashen und den hash hier öffentlich posten sollte. das war ihm zu unsicher und es wurde auf ein hash von seiner antwort und einer zufälligen zahlen- und/oder buchstabenkombination ausgewichen was so ziemlich keinen unterschied macht als wenn er nur den doppelhash der antwort gepostet hätte. Unsinn: Hash(x) = y Hash(y) = z Hash(Hash(x))= z Solange x zu klein ist (also ungesalzen), dauert bruteforcing einfach nur doppelt so lange, wenn man 2x hasht, es wird nicht unmöglich gemacht. Der Input in die 2. Hashfunktion ist NICHT zufällig sondern 100% determinisitsch festgelegt durch die 1. Hashfunktion. Du kannst gerne ein (kurzes, max. 4 Buchstaben) Wort 2x hashen und das Ergebnis hier posten, dann knacke ich das schnell mal. Alles was du macht, ist Leute zu zwingen eine zweifelhafte Webwallet mit Sitz in den USA zu verwenden, die es vermutlich Geheimdiensten ermöglicht Adressbenutzer mit IP Adressen zu verknüpfen.
übrigens ist die blockchain.info IP 190.93.243.195 (country: Costa Rica) für welche das LACNIC (Latein- und Südamerika) zuständig ist, also nichts mit Sitz in USA.  für die zweite eingetragene IP von blockchain.info 141.101.112.196 (country: EU) ist das RIPE (Europa und Naher Osten) zuständig, also auch nicht USA. für IP Adressen aus USA ist das ARIN (Nordamerika und Antarktis) zuständig. IP != Firmensitz oder Wohnort der Betreiber. Die Inhaberfirma ist als Limited in UK registriert (QKOS SERVICES LIMITED), der Betreiber sitzt so weit ich weiß in den USA. |

Dude, it's Sunday and you sent your bank wire on Thursday (Thanksgiving + national holiday in the USA, if you're from there your bank won't send it).
It is quite likely that your bank didn't even send them any money yet... Anyways, faster support times would be nice, you however decided to spam them AND not just simply wait a little bit and try again to fill the web form with the correct amount and now are acting up because they didn't answer on the weekend. Why?

I got burned as well for not being able to close a position.
Stop loss orders for your lower limit and Limit orders for whan to take the profit... you can set them from right at the beginning when starting your position... |

Alles was du macht, ist Leute zu zwingen eine zweifelhafte Webwallet mit Sitz in den USA zu verwenden, die es vermutlich Geheimdiensten ermöglicht Adressbenutzer mit IP Adressen zu verknüpfen.

Zum Rätsel:
Wird mit "Satoshi" die Person Satoshi Nakamoto gemeint und hast du auch einen von ihm geschriebenen Forenpost/Mail als Beweis oder nimmst du da nur Sachen an (wie bei "Satoshi's Rolex" als Beispiellösung?
Z.B. könnte "paper wallet" ja als Antwort stimmen, Satoshi hat sich meines Wissens aber nie dazu geäußert, dass er seine Private Keys ausdruckt.
Auch "Kleidung" oder so muss nicht mal stimmen, da es so weit ich weiß keinen Beweis gibt, dass Satoshi nicht Nudist ist.
Übrigens ist, wenn du einen Private-Key erraten lässt, der GESAMTE Pot weg, ohne dass du da irgendwas vorher an Fees abziehen kannst. Wenn jemand also gut Private keys bruteforcen kann, wird derjenige einfach ein paar "YES" Fragen stellen und die restlichen Stellen bruteforcen und den gesamten Pot abziehen. Ob eine Frage "ernstgemeint" ist, die "Ist die erste Stelle des private keys eine 5?" lautet wäre z.B. diskussionswürdig.
Meine Frage würde also in etwa lauten: "Do you have sufficient proof that Satoshi Nakamoto actually does use whatever is described in the description?"

Wenn man um 23 Uhr etwas einstellt, das innerhalb von 60 Minuten zu zahlen ist und dann einfach verschläft, dann hat man was falsch gemacht.
Ich würd's ja verstehen, wenn man vorher nichts davon weiß - wenn es aber von vornherein klar ist, wie schnell zu zahlen ist, dann hat man das auch so zu respektieren und sich eben danach zu richten. Ist ja nicht so, als gäb's nicht andere Plattformen, wo man genauso kaufen könnte.

Any chance of using the protocol in https://github.com/SierraChart/GSP (ideally a python implementation of it) in the future instead of SCID files? This could enable the bridge to allow trading via API keys too, you'd basically host your own broker server. |
