Earning from it could be just like a cents from someone like Musk already.
Aside from what I said earlier here in the thread, he could be just meme-ing out of the coin because if he is indeed serious about investing Dogecoin, he could've said something a thing or two on his thoughts about the mentioned coin.
2742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Time it takes to launch onto the exchange? on: May 07, 2021, 03:10:26 AM
Can't quite pinpoint back when I was looking at the roadmaps of ICO in the year of 2017, but most of them are being listed within a year.
Again it still depends on the teams' roadmap for their project.
I would just suggest staying tuned to their telegram channel in case that some changes happens.

Too bad my friends don't care about crypto at all.
Will that count as their mistake in the end? Cheesy
Hehe.
2744  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any other webiste or other platforms that pay you crypto? on: May 06, 2021, 07:41:32 PM
Would eliminate faucets in here due to obvious reasons.
LaborX is one of the freelancing sites I recall that pays in crypto.
Not sure if Freelancer allows payment in crypto as I didn't fully verify my account their due to strictness in KYC.
Wish that Upwork and Fiverr would consider crypto one day though.
2745  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Incorporating BTC the way forward for most companies? on: May 06, 2021, 07:38:43 PM

Well there are platform that pulled out BTC payment method back then.
I remember Valve allowing  Bitcoin payment into their Steam platform back in the days, but then pulled it out due to unstable price but let's be honest that they didn't want to face bearish market cause that might be losses in their end in case they decided to liquidate.
2746  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is Elon Musk's goal with Dogecoin? on: May 06, 2021, 07:35:48 PM
Not really but still who knows. He is already rich and he could just sit in front of his computer and say anything and people would go crazy on it in Twitter.
He can't speculate because in the first place he doesn't even have a control to the coin.
About if he will keep tweeting about it, who knows? What if he shilled a shitcoin in the end, would people fall for it?

Probably hype from their referrals. That's why there are ponzi schemes popping up and having a lot of connection to different people to invest into their platform/coin, but then when the dump comes, it goes all reds.
Think of it as just like a real-life business, like your local fast food that was just recently opened but then closed a week later.
2748  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Charlie Munger hating on bitcoin on: May 06, 2021, 10:51:30 AM
I don't even know who he is. He's just like an ordinary random old dude next door for me saying stuffs about something.

If he is something known in other countries, then he is just another business destroying other business in order for his own to grow and dominate the market.
2749  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When you heard about Bitcoin vs. When you first used Bitcoin on: May 06, 2021, 10:43:26 AM
I heard Bitcoin around 2012, and I was like truly against it to be honest because I was learning about the surfaces of the web.
Surface web vs deep web vs dark web.
Then I realized that Bitcoin is being used there in the dark web as a means of transaction of the "people" in there, those types of people. Smiley
I thought Bitcoin existed due to the existence of the dark web, so I was like looking down into Bitcoin like it is "criminal's coin " or currency.

Fast forward to 2017, one friend of mine mentioned it and I was like "oh that's a currency in the dark web used by criminals, right?". He proved me wrong by saying that it is also an investment opportunity, because Bitcoin that year was hella pushing up to 20k. I was there. Cheesy
That's the year I started using Bitcoin.

My bad. Cheesy
Thanks for correcting me.
It was a bare recall for me, so I still expected a correction.
It is still nice addition though since it was something mentioned in the news, although it is a bit off. Smiley

It is money. Everyone would chase money over their health, and I gotta admit that I am a bit guilty of that because I work a lot to cover up the expenses needed to made in my home, but what I am not forgetting is to chillax a bit and watch some Youtube vids.
People are forgetting to chase their happiness, but instead chase their money.
"Money doesn't buy happiness" is a big lie, but you shouldn't dig yourself your own grave. Work to live not live to work.

Maybe OP is indeed selling now.
OP seems to be inactive to this thread right now, so I guess that we should all move on now.
@OP please lock the thread unless there's more to be discussed or update to your matter.
2753  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in bitcoins for future kids on: May 05, 2021, 07:43:28 PM
Just invest it if you're planning for an inheritance for your kids in the future and probably write the seed in a piece of paper not in digitalized form, because of the obvious threats in the internet that could potentially breach your security leading your coins to someone else's wallet.
For me, I am still planning to do it though but I am not sure where to start just yet.
2754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1 million BTC wallet on: May 05, 2021, 07:42:06 PM

I kind of recall someone transferring millions worth of BTC that was stuck on a wallet for quite some time.
It is being discussed back then on who could it be because of the insane amount.
Found it in here: https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2020/11/someone-has-withdrawn-1-billion-from-a-bitcoin-wallet-dormant-since-2015/
Not sure if this is really the one that I recall, but there's something along the lines of "unknown trader".
2755  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Centralized and kyc platforms can pose risks in the future on: May 05, 2021, 12:28:05 PM

It would be hard as well to find social circles or community that trade cryptos. I tried to find one in Facebook and most of the Facebook Groups I joined were mostly just promoting ponzis that aren't even crypto-related, just like a dead group page.
Only thing I could think to personally buy and sell coins especially Bitcoin without KYC is through ATMs though some still require government issued IDs and it could be quite rare to find one especially in the 3rd world countries.
2756  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Bitcoin is like planting trees on: May 05, 2021, 12:23:08 PM

Probabilities would also depend on what kind of plant are you even planting. Smiley
If it is a shit seed, don't expect it to grow regardless of the season.
Bitcoin would be like generalist that anytime you could just invest and still get something out of it. Smiley
2757  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk please stop messing up the crypto market on: May 05, 2021, 12:14:36 PM

Thing is when someone is rich, people believe that he knows everything already. I respect Musk for his inventions, but I just hate how his followers or even fans, if that's what you call it, go crazy about his claims and would just typically follow what he is doing. Everyone's goal is to be rich that's why every single footprints that a celebrity makes is/are being followed by the many.
2758  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Yahoo Hates BTC: "Forget Bitcoin: Here are The Crypto Assets To Follow" on: May 05, 2021, 12:09:39 PM
Not just an ugly move, but a bold move as well.
I don't feel secured anyway in their mail services.
How funny they're saying that there are more than worth of other crypto to be followed for "practicality of decentralized finance", while Bitcoin already solves that.
2759  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bad advices regarding Bitcoin on: May 04, 2021, 07:11:04 PM
Didn't really did the actual mistake, but I was almost phished in my online wallet because someone shared my photo claiming that I won a prize and I just needed to login.
I reported the phishing site after that.
I guess I could call it that my mistake was trusting too much in online wallets.

This. Take this user's post, newbies.
We already had enough of stories people losing and like regretting their decisions just because they committed all their money to crypto. I even recall one person asking if selling their land for crypto is even worth it.
One would even loan because they don't have the means to invest.
