1884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: [Vote Done][ANN] The Altcoins Foundation Platform | Version 1.0beta Released on: June 04, 2015, 07:44:55 PM
Is the site currently down ? I am getting "Error displaying the error page: Application Instantiation Error: Could not connect to MySQL." On opening the link.

Hi, it is a random bug we are working at, if you get it, after 1 minute you should be able to connect again, is just a mysql restarting which loses the connection for a minute or less, still detecting what triggers it.

Thanks a lot for the feedback and feel free to report any bug or issues you might have, thanks for the assistance and support.

Np problem, thanks for letting me know Smiley

1887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CryptoCloudHosting - Dedicated Website Hosting on: May 30, 2015, 09:28:42 PM
I am proud to have CryptoCloudHosting.org hosting the PICISI project.

Does you realize you are supporting a repeat scammer?  Your name is being tied to his, and you are proud of that?   Sad

Please don't drag me into your accusations. We provide free hosting to Armis for his PICISI project because with what he has discussed with me about the project I believe it to be a great project with alot of potential.

I have worked with Armis since January (this year) when he published a free article for me about my hosting company on his website. I've read all about his Armisgame (www.armisgame.com) and never had a bad run in with him.
1888  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CryptoCloudHosting - Dedicated Website Hosting on: May 30, 2015, 07:10:14 PM
Congratulations your donation to PICISI placed your entity in the top 10 of PICISI sponsors.
As the site (www.PICISI.com) is developed the leader board is expected to change periodically.

Thanks Armis.

I am proud to have CryptoCloudHosting.org hosting the PICISI project.

need any help mate? ...

#crysx

Thanks for your offer. We are looking at creating this beginners section in a way in which we can point people to it and give them idea of crypto and help on how to be secure and careful in how they operate with cryptocurrencies. I personally will be visiting and (If I can find the right premises) running my own crypto based groups for beginner level users. I have around 40 people interested at the moment for these groups and that is only by word of mouth - of course I'm not advertising yet.

I would like a sort of landing page for people to get a grip of crypto, learn about how to obtain crypto wallets for the various currencies, encrypting wallets, backing up wallets, interacting with the crypto community etc. Then from there I can show them over the cryptocurrencies CryptoGiveaways.org offers and the benefits / main uses of each of the cryptos i.e. GameCredits is being developed to be used in the gamers market.

On the other side of things the main page which users come to if they visit CryptoGiveaways.org is the giveaway site but they can still access the beginners section and we are working on the best way to display this on the main page
1893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CryptoGiveaways.org - Crypto-currency giveaway site - Under Development on: May 26, 2015, 07:24:20 PM
We posted a twitter update while BCT was down:

We are currently building the content & designing the layout for our beginners section. Here a user will get basic information about crypto.

....We are still working on this Smiley

1895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Destroy stereotypes about Digitalcoin [DGC] on: May 21, 2015, 09:47:21 PM
Our team working hard on Digitalcoin, but when I talking about DGC with somebody, I heard lots of exciting verdicts about that. I want to destroy the old stereotypes, so...

Let's get everything straight.

In cryptoworld everybody looking for profit within a day so very hard to reach masses. I can't explain to everybody one by one the advantages of Digitalcoin. Everybody heard about us but their stereotypes are brutal like:

  • "Copy from Worldcoin, that's a joke" - I don't know the original source code, maybe, but the V3 is completely unique.
  • "I heard about DGC. That was the coin what had a developer who stolen the premined coins" - We didn't have any premine coin, the original dev left us a year ago, that was his own bought/mined supply so who cares? We have a stable, reliable foundation, etc-etc.
  • "Look at that chart. That coin is dead" - Nope. If You're looking the last 6 months, the price is solid as rock. If You're looking from 2013 it's a chance! We have a huge potentinal for growing.
  • "DGC is the past. XYZ coin is the future" - Lots of people joined to cryptoworld right after the last BTC boom. We had new coins at every day in that period and never care with a coin what launched before that.
  • "DGC is a centralized shitcoin" - I have no idea where do they read that. Yeah, we have a "main group" as a foundation but anybody could join who want to build/help in something. The decisions are democratic too. Wink

Most of people don't know about the small living community at IRC. About 40-50 people talking there for a year. Made some great friendship, working together and trust each other. This core is the main reason why we won't fail. It isn't depend only 1 or 2 guys and the target is clear. Build a valued, useable cryptocurrency what a real alternative to Bitcoin.

So what is our plan? Working toward on services to make a useable currency and try to reach masses. If somebody could help to DGC in something, please feel free to join us at IRC channel. We are looking for developers, investors, PR guys, supporters.

•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Could You supplement this list? Tell me!

I have watched Digitalcoin for 2 years now, it aswell as cryptos in general have gone through tough times but I think the community is strong and pushing hard. I speak to a few of them and they have come up with some bright ideas.

1897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FAIL presents #FAILScam and #FAILApproved stamps. on: May 21, 2015, 08:53:46 PM
Hello,

I am part of FAILCoin team and we came up with one idea, which I wanted to share with you, because one of the main purposes of FAIL is to help cryptocurrencies.

Here is how disapproval will work:

1. John spots scam and warn us.
2. We make some research on it and place FAIL stamp if we believe that he's right.
3. John receive reward in FAIL coins (the amount will be announced in near future).

Here is how approval will work:

1. Kevin see some good ideas behind some coin and he thinks that it has future. He is also believing that the team behind the coin is honest.
2. Our team again make research on it and place approval stamp if it seems legit.
3. Kevin receives nothing, because he probably own some coins of the given currency. Grin

#FAILScam and #FAILApproved hashtags will be used on Twitter.

We are working on the graphics as we speak and they will be available pretty soon.

We are NOT going to do research on ICO/IPO or whatever, because they are most likely scam and it's not worth researching them.

What do you think about it?

Thanks for your time,
Spartak

I like it but only partially - Disapproval is a good idea but we don't want to false accuse to quick we need to put work in. Approval idea I don't like, things can go wrong with things later down the line (even a year or 2) and if we have said approved it may come back on us.
1898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: If your alt-coin wants some t-shirts made ... on: May 21, 2015, 08:48:38 PM
Where are you based? Do you do designs?

You can also hire some designers right here on forums. Maybe I can be of any assistance if you're looking for something like that.

Maybe, I was just thinking of a kind of all-in-one service. Do you have a portfolio of work?
1899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: If your alt-coin wants some t-shirts made ... on: May 21, 2015, 08:24:20 PM
If your alt-coin community wants me to make some t-shirts do let me know For the moment payment is in BTC , fiat unless your coin is listed on cointopay.

Let me know and I'll send you a form to submit your design to start building your shirt.

Where are you based? Do you do designs?
