genesis block : The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks.

Think about it, Satoshi had the bailouts in mind on the day the genesis block was created. Maybe he was giving the world a tool to move away from all of what was causing this chaos, entrusting with a group of people that would hopefully help it grow and help conquer the evil of how our banks run and governments waste

Have any of these been printed? I use a plastic 3D printing company near me, it's a great private service. Next step for me is metal 3D printing.

As far as I know only tony's samples.
But the blueprint is opensource so anybody with 3d printer can make some...

Yeah I seen that, so I'll be sending it to the printer tomorrow to test
1803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: “Controlling Crypto-currencies” conference - University of Birmingham on: June 29, 2015, 10:19:14 PM
Hey,
Not sure if this has been posted already on here, please let me know if it is.
A conference was held at the University of Birmingham on the June 12th 2015. I unfortunately couldn't attend on the day but they have posted the content online and I would recommend having a look.
Honestly this is a great post and those videos are really good to listen to know the ideas and thoughts regards to the Bitcoin digital currency, Actually they are talking about the quick emergence and popularity of Bitcoin Digital currency which made them to see as revolution technology in the midst of banking sectors. Thanks for the videos and on a side note I like the Tatiana Cutts presentation.

Great Smiley, thanks for the input.

Hello everyone!

I'm new on this forum and new in BTC world.

A Few things about me:
- I'm computer programmer with 5 years experience
- I know common languages like PHP, javascript(Node.js) very well
- Other languages like C#/++ or Java a little less
- I can do some project for bitcoins

This is my first post so I don't add any links to my sites, but later I'll add my portfolio.

You may ask me if you have a problem with the script or algorithm.

That's all for today. I hope that we will have many opportunities to work together.

Live long and prosper and may the Force be with you!

Where are you based?
1807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: “Controlling Crypto-currencies” conference - University of Birmingham on: June 29, 2015, 01:30:51 PM
Could you please give the results of that conference? The title sounds to me like they search ways to control the bitcoin network. What was the conclusion? I guess they found at least ways to hurt bitcoin. Which can be really bad when a currency cant flow freely as a currency.

No it is just the name of the conference nothing more. It was just a get together to get peoples opinions on bitcoin and crypto-currencies and see where they think it is going in the world. From watching all the videos and seeing feedback alot more people are getting interested in crypto-currencies over the last year or so, so hopefully more ideas will come out and further or improve the way things work

Those who spend from four to nine hours a day behind a computer screen, risk  both their body and eyesight.

Here's how to minimize the risk.

Q: How to minimize the risk  A: Don't click suspicious links!

Joking, this stuff is very important to know as it will affect you later on in life

I watched the premiere of HUMANS.

I find the subject of how humanity is going to handle conscious machines intriguing. We don't even treat each other with respect, never mind all the other lifeforms on this planet. I don't see us changing our attitudes any time soon, even in the face of total annihilation. Undecided

HUMANS definitely! It's a great take on how machines could integrate into our lives and some of the affects they may have

Where are you based? In the near future in the UK, a goverment funded digital currency research programme will be recruiting.
1815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My new way of getting rid of cold callers. on: June 28, 2015, 06:37:53 PM
You could definitely write something to do this for you /  automate it. You would probably have to link it to some kind of FIAT conversion first
1816  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin was accepted everywhere would you use it? on: June 28, 2015, 06:35:20 PM
I would definitely use it as much as I could, yes FIAT is easier but only because we are all used to it. My monthly bills would all be paid in bitcoin, my fuel bill and wages I pay out.

1820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nasdaq Selects Bitcoin Startup Chain To Run Pilot In Private Market Arm on: June 27, 2015, 09:15:11 PM
"Nasdaq OMX Group Inc. has named San Francisco-based startup Chain as its partner for a pilot, announced in May, to test Bitcoin technology for the trading of shares in private companies.

Founded in 2014, Chain provides infrastructure to financial institutions wanting to use the blockchain, which is the technology underlying the digital currency Bitcoin, in their products and services. The blockchain enables entities to digitally transfer money and other assets directly, securely and near instantaneously.

Good! Great to see them jumping in.
