1021  Other / Meta / Re: [CONTEST] Design the 10 years of Bitcointalk commemorative Coldkey ($500+ prize) on: October 25, 2019, 03:01:18 PM
Nice one.
I like this contests, and I think theymos started this contest avalanche with his 10th anniversary bitcointalk post Wink

Question for @yogg:
Should we post our designs preview only here in this Topic?

Thanks dkbit98 Smiley
What's to expect from Bitcointalk for it's 10th anniversary other than some frenzy. Grin

Yes, please post your designs for this contest in this thread, in a single post.
You can submit several designs, but please keep all submissions to one post.

Most notable designs will be chosen for the poll. (Subjectively but I will take the community appreciation and the overall users opinions into account)
That poll will be probably conducted in the Ivory Tower section.

Just a question in regards to the prize lists, those coldkeys are cards right, meaning they are tangible and not to be rude if the winners are on the abroad residing meaning they'll pay for the rewards need to be shipped or is it included to be free as well?

Thanks!

Thanks for your question. Smiley

Yes, it is a physical prize and of course, winners won't have to pay for anything.
I didn't specify it but absolutely, tracked shipping is on us.
However you need to be able to receive a parcel.

Smiley
1023  Other / Meta / Re: [CONTEST] Design the 10 years of Bitcointalk commemorative Coldkey ($500+ prize) on: October 25, 2019, 10:50:20 AM
Thanks a lot DiamondCardz for bringing all these points.

So you're looking for art pieces which can be used as possible designs? Would a canvas painting that you could then translate into a design be an acceptable entry? Just asking as I've got a spare canvas and a lot of acrylic paint and might give this a shot very soon Smiley

Absolutely. Smiley
As long as it is your original artwork, it's all good. (We'll verify that before starting the poll)
For example, the History Coldkey pictured in OP is a canvas made by 1Dq; it's a picture of the canvases, adjusted to fit our needs.

The tech in our hardware allows us to create beautiful cards, so let's make use of it. Smiley

May I also suggest that you restrict people to a single post. I don't know if you are going to permit multiple entries or not, but regardless of whether people submit 1 or 5, to reduce spam IMO it should be kept to 1 post - that's a problem the 10th anniversary contest thread has right now.

Good idea. Thanks for your suggestion.
We do not want to limit creativity, however I agree that this thread shouldn't become a spam thread.
Please keep all your submissions within one single post. Abuse will lead to the disqualification of the participant.

That being said, this thread is fine to discuss the contest.
However, do not spam it with artworks. Please keep them all in one post, I will regularly update the 2nd post of this thread with the most notable entries.

Hello,

This is my submission for the 10th anniversary!
One simple image, but with deep meaning: the Blockchain, Bitcoin and the key for them is BitcoinTalk!
https://i.imgur.com/XE0oLCM.jpg
I’m kindly asking a fellow high ranked member to post the full image here, as my rank doesn’t allow me.

Thank you.

There you go. Smiley

EDIT : The poll is now over !! Check the winners list !
More news on this post.

Hello everyone !

For the upcoming 10th anniversary of Bitcointalk, we imagined something special to commemorate this event.

Artists are solicited a lot lately with the ongoing art contest.
Coldkey is a new brand, we do not have much BTC or Merits to offer, but still, let's make a cool physical item that will be widely accessible;
so everybody can hold onto a memorabilia of when Bitcointalk entered it's 10th year of existence. Smiley

It will be a fully functional, not loaded, secure physical cold storage wallet, with the design of the winner.
We will be offering it at a competitive price to make it possible for everyone here to hold their own 10th years of Bitcointalk collectible item.
(Unfortunately, to lower our retail prices we need to pass on the UV for this release)
Made on Bitcointalk.org, by Bitcointalk.org users, for Bitcointalk.org. Smiley

This special Coldkey will be available for purchase during one month (from 22nd of November until 22nd of December) without limits in quantities.
Of course, they will be serialized and embossed; we will keep the first & lowest 10 serials for a further auction.
100% of this auction proceedings will go to Charities. *

What is it all about ?

If you don't know about it, let me quickly present Coldkey to you : it is a secure physical cold storage wallet in the form of a card.
We have announced the project in the Collectibles section back in April, since then we have released three different series.

(Our latest collaborative (with 1Dq) release, the History Coldkey)

You can find more informations about our cold storage wallets on our website : https://www.coldkey.eu ;
or on the different ANN threads we made for each serie :
(Genesis Edition, Bitcoin Coldkeys and History Coldkeys)

What about the contest then ?

Right !

We think it would be awesome to create a Bitcointalk.org anniversary commemorative item with a design that comes directly from our community.
This is the reason for this contest. Let's make a Bitcointalk.org item together !

At the end of the contest, a poll will be organized to pick the winning design. (16th to 21th of November)
The winner gets the main prize and contestants making it to 2nd and 3rd place will be rewarded as well.

Contest rules :
- Make a design for a Coldkey that reminds you of Bitcointalk.org.
- It must be your original artwork.
- An entry is a front and a back. Please submit both.
- Dimensions are 54x86mm.
- Any design with some NSFW element will be automatically disregarded.
- You can submit multiple artworks, but please keep them all within ONE single post.
- Due to various reasons, we reserve the right to pick the submissions that will make it to the poll.
- We reserve the right to disqualify any user from the contest, at our sole discretion.

You can project the space for some elements on the design (like the QR codes), but if you don't we will always find a way to fit everything on the Coldkey.
(Do not focus too much on positioning the elements; however a 22x22mm space will be used on the back by our hologram.)

Please submit your designs on this thread.

Deadline : 15th November 2019 11:59pm Paris time.
(Countdown timer : https://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/generic?iso=20191115T235959&p0=195&font=cursive)

Prize list :

1st Prize : 4x 0.005BTC Bitcoin Loaded Coldkey + 4x 0.001BTC Bitcoin Loaded Coldkey +
 4x Bitcointalk.org 10th anniversary Coldkey + 1x Genesis Edition Coldkey

2nd Prize : 2x 0.005BTC Bitcoin Loaded Coldkey + 2x 0.001BTC Bitcoin Loaded Coldkey + 2x Bitcointalk.org 10th anniversary Coldkey

3rd Prize : 1x 0.005BTC Bitcoin Loaded Coldkey +  1x 0.001BTC Bitcoin Loaded Coldkey + 1x Bitcointalk.org 10th anniversary Coldkey

(Funding for prizes is provided and is part of the prize)

Thank you very much for reading and considering to take part in our contest.
We are equally impatient and curious to see your art pieces, and very excited at the idea of making a Bitcointalk.org item. Smiley

(Please keep this thread clean, it is only for the purpose of the contest. If you want to, comment the project on our ANN thread)

* : maybe split between several ones. Thinking of the Bitcointalk Charity Program, Free Ross, Save the Bees, Sean's Outpost.
1027  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] History Coldkey - A testimony to Bitcoin ! Ongoing & Limited (SOLD OUT) on: October 24, 2019, 10:04:02 AM
Bumpity-bump with news.

The first batch has been shipped. Smiley

We have an issue : someone who paid with BTC and already funded his history Coldkey entered a wrong email address during checkout.
If you ordered but didn't receive an email at all, please PM me (or send us a message) with the payment txid so we can send you your tracking number.

A few people who did not complete the funding have received an email about it being done.
There was a little misconception in my code, and it was highlighted only thanks to this surge in orders that happened within a 12hr span.
We're constantly working on improvements. Thanks for your comprehension.

If you haven't sent the funding, please proceed with it so we can ship to you. Smiley

Thank you all for your patience and all your support !
1028  Economy / Reputation / Re: Game Protect flag on: October 23, 2019, 08:57:52 AM
September 3rd I refunded 210€ with reducing it from the compensation demand for damage caused bt h4ns's defamation campaign.

How much did you demand as compensation for damage ? It is 20,000€, right ?
And you decided by yourself that h4ns owes you such an amount. Or maybe do you have a "real world" court decision ?

Well, then from today you owe h4ns 100,000€ for the damages and interests; you owe him for compensation after you failed to provide the services you advertise and failed to give his money back.
From that, you claim he owed you 19,790€ so the total amount you owe him is 80,210€.

When do you make payment ? Please post txid. Thanks.
1029  Economy / Reputation / Re: Game Protect flag on: October 22, 2019, 08:08:40 PM
In the real world, to evaluate whether or not a scam happened it is very important to know what and when it happened!

We're not in what you call "real world". Welcome to bitcointalk.
The date matters only to you. Here, to know a scam happened around some date is sufficient.
There are tracks of the transaction h4ns sent you, so we all know the moment the BTC left his control for yours and this is enough on bitcointalk.

At some point h4ns realized that you will never do what you told him, and will not give the BTC back.
This happened over several months, because he believed you.
So, yes, this happened here around some date and this is enough.

You're a scammer, a liar and a deceiver. These facts won't change whether you like it or not.
Keep ignoring the other's users requests for justification as well. This only shows how capable you are to deny what happens.

You're only fooling yourself here.
1030  Economy / Reputation / Re: Game Protect flag on: October 22, 2019, 06:11:23 PM
@ DireWolfM14

You support that a scam happened * July 2019!

* : around
What day?

That doesn't matter.
In the flag you are accused of a breach of contract that happened around July 2019.
The exact day is irrelevant, only what happened matters.

h4ns alleges: game-protect violated a written contract, resulting in damages, in the specific act referenced here. game-protect did not make the victims of this act roughly whole, AND it is not the case that all of the victims forgave the act. It is not grossly inaccurate to say that the act occurred around July 2019. No previously-created flag covers this same act, unless the flag was created with inaccurate data preventing its acceptance.

Is September 3rd and July 2019 the same day in separate fantasy dream worlds? Cheesy

Supporters please advise?

It doesn't say "in July 2019".

September 3rd 2019 is very much around July 2019. +/- 2 months.
Let alone the month of August where most people go for holidays. (You know, when you leave to take a break and rest ? No ?)
The facts don't change, the story is the same.

What is the definition of "around" in your fantasy world ?

Again, at what day did the scam happen?

Again, how did the scam happen?

Just re-read this thread, but sure yeah, stay in denial.
