I got my Acorn refund. It is an approximate equivalent (in BTC) of $ payment at July.

I can confirm this also
442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Acorn M.2 FPGA based GPU Accelerator on: October 24, 2018, 01:38:25 PM
Got an email that my acorn refund check is in the mail. Thanks!

Yeah I'll believe it when the money is in the wallet.  If true, funny how some people get refunds and emails when the rest don't even get news on the status of their orders.
443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Acorn M.2 FPGA based GPU Accelerator on: October 22, 2018, 02:00:40 AM
It goes like this:

-August: was told No Acorn refunds, under any circumstance.  2 months later refunds for everyone (dont know why)
-BCU refunds still not processed
My personal experience.  I dont see anything shady though - people forget this was a *group buy* for the BCUs.  We will see what happens.  I hope I get my refunds.  Its been a long time.

You need to go on the discord if you want the bitstreams and ask there.
445  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Antminer S9 lot of 80+ [CANADA] on: October 15, 2018, 02:00:28 PM
Im considering this deal closed, I just forward intent to my client as a courtesy thats all.  88 S9s with PSUs, in boxes.  Used 8 months.  Version was the ones they sold in Dec/Jan I believe.  Two serious people came forward so I dont see why a deal cant be made.
446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why everyone should support the Petro, the venezuelan dictator-backed crypto on: October 15, 2018, 01:57:24 PM
Yeah the reason I thought it was interesting that no one replied is that usually you get all these bot accounts spamming threads Smiley

To the guy who said it was a copy of the DASH whitepaper...ill have to check that out.  That would mean that the only thing going for them isnt real after all.  I hope everyone reached the same conclusion as I did, which is that ordinary people in Venezuela cannot profit from the Petro in any way shape or form as the gov can adjust the price at will through exchange rates.
447  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Antminer S9 lot of 80+ [CANADA] on: October 09, 2018, 02:49:26 PM
Client is looking to sell, so he will entertain all offers I suppose that are reasonable.
448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why everyone should support the Petro, the venezuelan dictator-backed crypto on: October 08, 2018, 07:23:14 PM
Quite interesting.

They most likely refund at the end of the survey. It's legit and that's the important fact : respect customers change of mind if the delay for shipping was delayed to much.

Yeah my bad. Oct 11th ends the survey so  Oct 12th  would be logical.

I wouldnt get your hopes up for refunds.  Im still waiting on a BCU refund.

Actually no, not related.  Thanks ill read that thread

For shipping or local pickup (Montreal).

Client selling S9 farm.  S9 with PSU.  Looking to sell with escrow if not in person by trusted forum members.  Good condition.  8 month usage approx.

Looking to sell.

Buying used and new for a client.  Escrow if you want, but local transaction is better.

Name your price but going price for 470s mining edition for example is quite low.
454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8th Alt coin thread. Or what to do now that asics are all over the place. on: September 20, 2018, 03:51:04 PM
Want to talk trade tariffs...European countries sell commodities such as wheat *under* their cost of production to third-world countries, effectively destroying local economies if they are based on that commodity.  How can they sell under the production cost ?  Well the CAP program of course.

solo on bsod, thats probably pretty good.  Im guessing the % return is higher because you dont pay the pool hopping tax

Oh yeah I agree, the auto btc function is nice and all, but I guess only efficient for large liquid coins.  Ideally the pool would auto sell on a very short period.
457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ALLMINE INC - FPGA Cryptominer on: September 15, 2018, 10:07:00 PM
yeah its all good, im not worried mineority and sqrl is legit there is no doubt about that
458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] ZERGPOOL.com - NEW!Multialgo, autoexchange, 0.5% fee, 180+ coins on: September 14, 2018, 08:08:49 PM
Did some math with hmq1725 algo and watched buys and sells for some period.  Easier on small shit coins to see what is going on.

Nothing good is going on, thats what.  I cant prove anything but I do feel strongly that zergpool / pools either mismanages coin selling or is buying its dumps.
...

You are slowly but surely zeroing in on the fatal flaw of all these multi-algo, auto-switching mining pools: they have you mine what is most profitable right now, but sell the coin at a later time when it is often not worth nearly as much (i.e. - because of a pump-and-dump).

Lets say i'm evil, or a pool operator (is there a difference ?) and I know when (where is not a problem) zerg pool dumps coins, I can calculate the bid depth, so lets say I have 1.5btc to sell (you can calculate from pool hashrate and avg difficulty), the last share sold would end up in the order book to a specific point.  Example:  Market is 800-850 sats, depth 1.5btc brings it to 600 sats.  Now lets say I put 0.5btc bid at 605 sats, I would get my fill when the pool dumps.  Price may recover after one dump, maybe a bit lower, so you can sell your coins back at 750-800 lets say.  Not bad if you do so many times a day on many coins.  Its free money, straight out of the miners pocket.
edit: not out of mine anyway
459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ALLMINE INC - FPGA Cryptominer on: September 14, 2018, 08:00:32 PM
Yeah just put yourselves on the waiting list if you are interested.  I cancelled one, still waiting for refund but it will come.

have you had your refund??? Because I did not have anything

nope.  Im on the spreadsheet apparently, so at least there seems to be a list of sorts
