How is it that complaining about packaging makes it ok to switch from next day to a company that doesn't even fly domestic routes in the U.S. without customer approval?
Too many peeps in here were bashing UPS So? Who gives a s*** "what people were bashing"? Like that is ANY way to justify their actions. Give me a break. they made the decision because so many people said UPS was not the way to go, thats customer response, and every justification they need. I dont like it either, and know UPS is better, but they made that change specifically because people told them UPS sucks. Don't blame them. Blame the people who complained about UPS, when they hadn't even had their package shipped. Transam808- yeah... would have been in your home hashing today if it was UPS Sorry Phoenix, you're wrong on this one. UPS was and is the best choice. They have no right to bait and switch. They have no right to transfer complaints of poor packaging onto UPS. You're starting to sound like 'orama. You must have "skimmed" the posts... I like UPS... and know they are faster.. We are discussing delivery time, not packaging....we know the box sucks, it's flimsy.

DHL would be a good company to buy and remodel it into a shipping company. Maybe some BTC venture capitalist would be interested.
Good one DHL is the worlds biggest shipping company, close to 0.5 million employees. I suggest that brave BTC venture capitalist try with something smaller like UPS or FedEx

The problem is that in europe DHL is fast and reliable and UPS sucks imho. KNC probably went with their own experiences with DHL in europe and didn't take into account that it could be different in the US. Also, didn't DHL save them from delays when the beagle boards were being delivered or something?

Hi, I have a die on my chip that is completely dead. How do i revive it? I have the fan on to see if heat will revive it. The only other option i can think of is to make it extremely cold. It looks like a overall bad chip though.

oki, again. for you: it is not about UPS service itself, but about very bad(cheap) packaging. - heavy heatsinks are mounted without any support - thin single layer cheap card box - no polystyrene or bubble foil inside - no additional package protection (another layer inside etc) box/package itself is great for clothes or some dry food - but for expensive and precise IT equipment? no. I work in international IT company and we are receiving dozens of boxes filled with data center HW (switches, routers, servers, storage etc - cost thousands of dollars like Jupiter) and ALL is about packaging. Please visit sometimes any IT shop and ask guys to show you how servers are packed. Doesn't matter if you are sending via UPS, DHL or any other major delivery companies - they are using same vans, procedures and processes.. Switch to another company can't change anything.point is (like every-time before), that KNC is not able to admit own fault or bring any bad news. btw I already known about issue, that DHL delivered earlier today miner and all heatsinks were unmounted/cables disconnected etc.

Too many peeps in here were bashing UPS they made a decision based on customer response. Too many people bashed knc too, so maybe based on that they decided to ship late, to teach us a lesson. /sarcasm

box/package itself is great for clothes or some dry food - but for expensive and precise IT equipment? no.
When I buy relatively cheep (Chinese, $150) empty PC server housings for my own needs, they come in with two cardboard boxes, one smaller inside another bigger divided by elastic Styrofoam inserts on every angle and side, with additional Styrofoam insert for top - when you close the first box to put in before you close the second. And that's for cheap server housings, you should see the packaging for Fujitsu-Siemens standard servers, they are work of art. You can jump on them without damaging the server. I wonder how can it happen that IT professionals never unwrapped any server in their career.
