2121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How to generate Bitcoin Address? on: August 28, 2013, 09:36:47 PM
Every 256 bit number is a private key,…
nitpicking mode: that's not true. there is a very very very small range of numbers, which do not lift properly on the underlying elliptic curve.
nitpicking mode: that's not true. They perfectly lift on the EC, it's just that their resulting public key are shared by two private keys from the range [0,2^256-1].
But as we're using Bitcoin addresses and not public keys, each address is shared by 2^96 private keys anyway so I'm rather sure that one more won't change anything...

@jackjack, you should read my article Wink @phatsphere is correct. Almost every 256 bit number could be a private key, but according to the secp256k1 curve parameters used by Bitcoin, any number in the range of 1 to FFFFFFFF FFFFFFFF FFFFFFFF FFFFFFFE BAAEDCE6 AF48A03B BFD25E8C D0364141 - 1 could be a private key.

And I think you should read my post. Phatsphere said that numbers above n doesn't lift on (I figured this means 'fit in') the EC. I said they do, and they do. Even G^gogolplex does.
By the way you can always come back to a private key between 1 and n-1 from whatever number (except those in n obviously).

So what up with you JackJack?  I was joking when I said I was a transtesticle - but now I'm not sure about you.  Lol
Why would a boner imply being a man?
Never saw an erect clit?

Oh man, you just grossed me out again.

No, I have never even heard of such a thing.  And women don't talk like that, man.

No woman says:  Boner!  Or erect clit.  You're so much a dude it's not even funny.

And I knew it from the beginning just cause no way a broad can ever be that naturally funny.  And that's not sexist, it's the plain truth.

Oh dear, what a sexist you are. I am very shocked.

Better?
No, really, you not satisfying your wife and her not saying "shit" or "fuck" doesn't imply that everybody in the world are like you...

If you took the ENTIRE universe and broke it up in to even parts.

If the number of parts equaled the number of possible bitcoin addresses private keys then each "part" of the universe would be roughly 900 atoms large.

"Astronomical" is used too often. With bitcoin addresses it's true.

I'm taking this nasty shit to my main coin page which is full of idiots anyway.

I don't want to get another thread banned and moved to off-topic cause of one mindless idiot.

I'm gonna lock this thread.  Nobody can vote anyway.

Lol WTF Vlad it was already in Off-Topic
2128  Other / Off-topic / Re: Vlad2Vlad Idiot or Savant % on: August 28, 2013, 07:58:38 PM

Gross man.  That's not a boner.  Can't you see it's limp and to the left.  Lol

I put it on Facebook for reaction.  I wanted to see how many would get offended given I can't shop for a pair of jeans at Nordstroms without running into a giant man-bonch.  Why is that not offensive?

But I digress...

I was talking about me actually

Ce ai la cap, esti bolnav?   Ha!
Don't fool yourself, YOU are the crazy one

The transaction is

I managed to build it for him but my ports !=80 are closed and it's a double-spend so blockchain.info doesn't want it in pushtx

No matter how I try I cannot seem to find the quick reply button. Where is it?
^ Yep you must go to your profile: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;sa=theme

Also, I reccomend adding it to github. It will allow easier access to see the code, and add some contributations.
Done: https://github.com/jackjack-jj/btpp

Also, I have not seen the * yet. My Browser updates it to fast  Smiley
That is great! What browser?

And for the fields that require a variable( like the price ticker chooser) make it so there is a drop down menu. It makes it a lot more user friendly.
I know, but I never took the time to do it... That will come soon though

I saw this also, it seems a little hard but maybe you could add it! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=281346.0
It's not that hard, actually the problem is the big number of requests the server would have to do
I'll see what I can do

2139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: August 27, 2013, 11:02:37 PM
So, the altcoins are there to pay the electricity bills.

For most people, yes.

I take the opposite approach.  When/if I ever get my ASICS I plan to use part of my bitcoins to pay the electricity, the rest to buy more mining rigs to try and get ahead of the coming masses and finally, I plan to hoard any and all merge mined coins hoping just one bit it big.

In this mining game, only the top 1% will make big money and the rest will get the crumbs.  It's important to get ahead of the curve, ahead of the herd.  For that I think one needs at least $50,000-$100,000 and then additional incremental investments to keep up with the difficulty.

The logic is that only a small % of people on earth have the money risk appetite to invest that much in mining rigs.  And to do that I only need 1 coin to jump in price and that would give me the necessary disposable income to jump ahead of the coming 99%.

Once you're ahead it should be easy to keep the lead and make massive money - but if you fall behind you'll never be able to catch up.  First movers can definitely make a killing here if they play it right.

You forgot "Bitcoin ETF"
