^^translation.  "Lazy"

Hah I can understand wanting a brief FAQ on a thread like Darkcoin which has what, 3,000 pages

But 39 pages, really? I can go through all this in about 5-10 minutes.

To the dev(s), what will be the key original code/feature(s) in this coin? And are you going to provide "Proof of Developer" certification from cryptoasian:
http://cryptoasian.com/

I think my issue with POD is it is becoming a "papers please!" demand where now every coin is expected to do it. The point of POD in the first place was for a dev to prove their identity when people are unsure who the dev is and whether they will run off and take your money. However we know who the devs are and it has been confirmed by an MIT official, what is the point now. CryptoAsian having a copy of Karen Su's driver's license isn't going to add anything to the conversation.

Also because MIT knows who they are, they won't scam you because they'd be using MIT resources to do it which puts them at criminal and civil risk.

I actually think this is probably now one of the most SAFEST crypto investments because of the legal cloud hanging over their head.

Remember XC went to the moon even before POW was done, and this reminds me a bit of its initial excitement and hype.

So august 18th came and went, where was Chang's big revelation he was promising?

POD is becoming a joke anyway, the Blacktoken dev went through the POD process and he was a con man who made up fake Facebook profiles and abandoned Darkcash in 3 days because the code was "broken".
1248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [INT] IntelliCoin | 2 WEEKS POW! | IntelliApp | InSign on: August 19, 2014, 02:06:06 AM

Frankly, this is one of the least documented project done by any student. Even the coins specs like the emission, etc., til this day has not been clear. I feel this is not a project of academic, but a project of greed.

What else is anyone here for but to make money?

The issue is how you make that money, through a fair value-built coin or a pump & dump that deceives the naive or noobish.
1249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [INT] IntelliCoin | 2 WEEKS POW! | IntelliApp | InSign on: August 19, 2014, 12:05:23 AM

麻省理工大学 账号 MIT.EDU 邮箱 账号 数据库 账号 http://tb.cn/6drCDWy

Did she buy all of her 200 friends on Facebook too? A good portion of whom are MIT grads?

that's just a library login lol

they would need to buy a Touchstone login to host a drupal site:

https://idp.mit.edu/idp/Authn/MIT

So you think you can buy one of these?

LOL this is like URO all over again, UFO and Kennedy level conspiracy theories

I remember that the email in OP is karensu@mit.edu. Not karen.su@mit.edu. Maybe I am wrong?

https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/14231-pre-ann-intellicoin-intinl-intelliapp-insign-mit-launch/

On cryptocointalk it is karen.su@mit.edu
1251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [INT] IntelliCoin | 2 WEEKS POW! | IntelliApp | InSign on: August 18, 2014, 11:24:58 PM

So what?
Did you get message from herself? Did she tell you that she was involved in this?

I'm probably going to be the asshole for doing this but search

karen.su@mit.edu

In facebook

You get this

https://www.facebook.com/karen.su.737?fref=ts

Look at her connections, look at her profile, put 2 + 2 together, it's not rocket science.
1252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [INT] IntelliCoin | 2 WEEKS POW! | IntelliApp | InSign on: August 18, 2014, 11:21:13 PM
So dev deleted that "MIT" girl's email.
How can you guys make sure that they are from MIT?
Just based on domain name and email address? LAMO! Are you guys idiots? You can buy these!

Like I said, plug her MIT email into Facebook and see what you get. She has tons of MIT friends and connections and even liked "College Cryptocurrency" group back in July.
1253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [INT] IntelliCoin | 2 WEEKS POW! | IntelliApp | InSign on: August 18, 2014, 11:18:13 PM

13BTC is a lot of money in most part of the world.

For what it's worth, they hired this guy to make their coin logo

http://bitcrea.com

He's pretty good, created the Boolberry logo, Sync, coinheavy, This Week's Coin, I doubt he is overly expensive but i'm sure he asks a little bit of money for his work, probably 500 dollars/1 BTC at least. As a graphic designer that is what I'd charge for that quality.

Like I said too, Karen Su can be verified on Facebook.
1254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [INT] IntelliCoin | 2 WEEKS POW! | IntelliApp | InSign on: August 18, 2014, 11:01:15 PM
Great! Can we see the "escrow" address?

I don't know where it is just going off what was said in the thread.

Really though 13 BTC for an IPO scam is weak sauce if it is one.
1255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [INT] IntelliCoin | 2 WEEKS POW! | IntelliApp | InSign on: August 18, 2014, 10:20:22 PM

Wow, so the DEVs made 13.9 BTC from the pre-sale. Where did that go to?  Roll Eyes

Maidak has the "escrow".
1256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [INT] IntelliCoin | 2 WEEKS POW! | IntelliApp | InSign on: August 18, 2014, 10:16:56 PM
Further investigation reveals the real Karen Su is on Facebook and has many friends including IT acquintances. I won't post it for obvious reasons but it'ss no closed secret, search her email on FB.

Definitely hold this coin.
1257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [INT] IntelliCoin | 2 WEEKS POW! | IntelliApp | InSign on: August 18, 2014, 10:00:02 PM

The fact they took down their names though makes me believe they might be telling the truth. Wouldn't scammers just not put their name up to begin with or try to pass off those fake names as being legit?

You have a good point but you cant hold it against others who would have thought of the other logical reasons for that action --

Oh i'm not holding it against others, everyone has a right to question and have a meaningful discussion just giving my counter-argument.

Here is my other rebuttal too, even if the devs are not MIT students but have access to the touchstone system, their identities are probably still known and if they dare to run a scam using MIT resource materials they are playing with fire big time, both in the criminal and civil courts. Is it worth all that to make a few thousand dollars in a pump and dump? I'm not so sure...
1258  Other / Politics & Society / There is one glaring plot hole I thought about in the Ferguson "murder" case on: August 18, 2014, 09:07:07 PM
If officer Wilson did indeed kill Michael Brown in cold blood....why didn't he shoot and kill his friend Dorian Johnson, the main witness to the shooting too? Dead men tell no tales...
1259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [INT] IntelliCoin | 2 WEEKS POW! | IntelliApp | InSign on: August 18, 2014, 08:49:06 PM
Everyone was pretty confident until the dev(s) took down their real names--embedded in their emails. With the recent scam trends, its totally understandable why such a move raised suspicion. So if the devs are confident of their themselves, and are willing to disperse the community's wariness, all they have to do is to explain why they took down their names.

The fact they took down their names though makes me believe they might be telling the truth. Wouldn't scammers just not put their name up to begin with or try to pass off those fake names as being legit?

I can't imagine the kind of emails a female dev would be getting right now in this vile forum frankly. I've heard women at crypto conventions get treated like pieces of meat.

but now I feel you're intentionally spreading FUD. I rescind my offer.
