1141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 1 Uro coin = 1 tonne of urea on: September 25, 2014, 08:17:10 PM

But no, Nilesh doesn't have to dignify that with a response is the official line we're made to swallow.

Because it's not Bohan's role to tell people what his ex-boss's financial status in life is. If the financial status of Nilesh is relevant to the whole project then why not ask to see his credit card statements too to make sure he is not blowing his salary on big screen TVs. If you don't think GES can financially afford to deliver the Urea then don't invest, simple as that.

or example, how does an unregistered company get to sign the Uro Protocol when the Protocol requires them to have traded more than 2 million metric tonnes of urea in their country in the last three years? Interesting to know how that happens

And which of the 4 NIERS is an "unregistered" company? Business license numbers have been published for all 4 in the thread already.

I think what irritates me about all this is I've never seen a coin in all of cryptocurrencies history that offered the most reward for so little risk minus the original Bitcoin. I mean jesus I've never seen people get so emotional over something where all they'd have to spend at a minimum is 500 dollars and potentially be set for life or even just 20 dollars to make a nice chunk of profit. It's like the greatest lottery ticket in the world and yet people get angry at the thought of even throwing down a few dollars on it.

I've also never seen so much bizarre behavior ever particularly in the great fud day with that tabloid rag altcoinherald throwing around conspiracy theories of photoshopped Bohan and "hijacking" the GES domain names. I mean are there any sane rational people around here?

You want to know why Bohan blew up that day? Because it was one day full of utter idiocracy. By the way not once has Altcoin Herald retracted any of their bizarre accusations including the idea Nilesh is no longer in control of GES or it went out of business even though the video of him released confirms he does indeed.

And the worst part -- let's pretend it does turn out legit and URO does go to parity, I can see it now, there will be an army of whiny kids on btctalk who missed the train crying "you never showed us prooofffff!" even though a rational mind would have accepted that 3rd party company like Rivaa Exports confirming the deal is proof in itself. Unless you think they are in on the scam too, and if you believe that then no proof will ever convince you otherwise anyway.

1142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 1 Uro coin = 1 tonne of urea on: September 25, 2014, 01:19:26 PM

So who does their taxes then? Please, share this information. And why don't you all stop being so damn precious about this shit? "Oh we don't have to tell you, you should do your homework". What the hell is that about? Any time anyone has a question that's too awkward, the same old defensive behaviour is trotted out, the oh so indignant, how dare you say that you nasty FUDDER. Now that's the shit that's getting old. A dev who has no answers and runs from bitcointalk is getting old. If he was confident in URO, he'd be on this forum answering all questions.

Because why should the same question be answered 5 times, it is annoying.

What question do you have that hasn't been properly answered? Maybe I can answer it, so far Chang and his crew haven't showed up to this thread.
1143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 1 Uro coin = 1 tonne of urea on: September 25, 2014, 01:46:17 AM
All the accusations against URO are based on preconceived notions by 1st world westerners of what a company should look like. Guess what, many companies around the world have shitty websites with broken links and bad HTML. Get over it.

This is one of the largest Urea producing plants in the world with millions in revenue yet their website looks like it was built in 1995

http://www.paupc.ir/Index.aspx?tempname=english&lang=2&sub=0

It's pretty simple, do your homework, find out who handles GES's taxes and is answering their emails for Urea orders and you'll know they are legit, it's not hard. ALL the answers are in the thread to everything but they are all buried with spam from the likes of Guglimugli and Truthful, what is the point to opening back up the thread when everytime we repeat the SAME STUFF that's been posted a million times is going to just get buried again by more trolling and fudding? It gets old.

I agree. Not enough orders on the books yet. Someone is manipulating...

Probably someone selling to themselves to get the volume on the 1st page

I like the dev is launching stuff today I think that will help sustain the price and keep people from panic dumping. Also spending the money to promote it on bittrex front page shows he is serious.

How do you like the idea suggested above where designers post logos+price in range 0.2-1BTC and we all choose? I feel its fair, and pretty competetive.

In my unprofessional oppinion - even since most of his logos are great NEXT still sucks big time. Jobs should have payed more for better logo.

I think that is fair and also creative, haven't seen something done like that. Let the designer and the free market dictate what it is worth and you as client ultimately decide if it is a fair price to pay.
1147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CRAIG] CraigsCoin | CLASSIFIED ADS ON BLOCKCHAIN | 5+ POD | ICO IS OVER! on: September 23, 2014, 07:09:38 PM

And tell me where's NEXT and where's Nike in terms of success?

Considering Steve Jobs leveraged his assets at NEXT to come back, take over Apple and use everything that was developed at NEXT to create OSX and conquer the tech world again, I'd say they did pretty damn good.

Here are a few more "terrible" Paul Rand logos Smiley

Gief link to your portfolio. I'm professional from a very different field, so my understanding of the graphical design is limited. Please forgive me my ignorance but it is very hard for me to accept 100,000$ logos (for example Moscow Metro logo cost $3,000,000+ and it keeps me stunned by this incredible amount). Somewhere in my mind I think that marketing effect from the sole fact of than amount of money spent is bigger than from actual logo. (Question remains what kind of marketing required for transport that is already serving ~30 000 000 passangers/day)

Np, i'll privately send it to you (don't need people harassing me on here). Obviously i would never charge 100k for a logo because i'm not that good lol but I think a good logo is important, Nike for example. Obviously for a startup coin project where marketing is not a priority I think a few hundred bucks is fair (just personal opinion)

Logo contest is on. Bounty is 0.2 BTC - see details in contest thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=793551

I'm not a graphic designer but I think you are seriously underestimating what this kind of work costs. If you want pro work, you gotta pay a pro price. People will invest time and talent for a chance at winning .2btc, that's the kind of work you're gonna get. If .2 is the budget, then straight up hire a freelancer for a couple of hours instead of running a contest. .2 is insulting for those who actually went to school to learn the craft.

I'm a designer and as a freelancer I generally charge $500 USD for a logo for a small business, logos I tend to not charge by the hour and prefer flat fees because a good logo may take anywhere from 3 hours of work to 30.

Naturally of course corporate work is a whole different ball game. Steve Jobs paid Paul Rand $100k to design NEXT's logo Smiley

I think it's safe to say though with only a 22k market cap, CCN is seriously undervalued now when compared to CANNs market cap. I actually switched out alot of CANN for CANNA now because of the potential partnership.
1151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Beware of barwizi - senior member stole BTC from Noirshares | Project XUC dev on: September 22, 2014, 06:49:31 PM
Thanks chocobo. I admit I am a general fund member and I confess I never kept up or interacted with the Noir group as I should have, but I also know there went months with no email contact and I only ever got 1 payout from the BTC mining rig op, I pretty much lost interest and moved on to other things and the few times I did check in it seemed a lot of drama and in-fighting. It is sad to see that the architect of the project was using it for his own ends.

I rarely FUD, i'm just laying some hardcore reality now. VIA is exceptional coz Drak is a hero member.

If this was like 100btc marketcap? It could possible go 500 btc or at least x5, but for 400? Wow.

But i'm ready to buy if market opens below ico price, since altcoin world has little to no patience.

Yes, the hardcore reality is coins that would have brought a 5-10 million market cap 6 months ago struggle to get past 500k thanks to all the scammers. But I have faith being that the dev here already delivered a working product BEFORE release that this can break the dry spell
1153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CRAIG] CraigsCoin | CLASSIFIED ADS ON BLOCKCHAIN | 5+ POD | ICO IS OVER! on: September 22, 2014, 01:33:24 PM
For those of you who don't understand where this could go wrong; the devs could have bought a ton of these coins themselves. Even if they sell at 50% below ICO price it's still profit in their pockets. Obviously this might not happen but yeah... I'll take my chances.

The dev would have bought off bitrex for the same price as everyone else, and it is dev, not developers.

And he could have written a fart app for iPhone and made the equivalent of 1000 btc in an alternate universe. When did bitcointalk turn socialist?

Holy shit balls. This 6 post newbie dev is getting 375 btc....

I know, we need to be all Barack like and say, "You didn't build that!" or "you need to pay your fair share!"
1156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CRAIG] CraigsCoin | Decentralized classified ads | 5+ POD ~ Bittrex ICO on: September 21, 2014, 05:27:01 PM

Price will need some serious whales to push this to any profit now, 8 months ago this wouldn't have been an issue but crypto value is severely depressed. Kinda regretting now (no offense dev) as most of us are tired of no profits anymore.

I've noticed anymore the only way to make money around here anymore is to play day trader and short and skim small profits. You still have coins like Stealthcoin that can miraculously do 500+ BTC volume in 24 hrs yet the price just goes sideways. Yeah it's good for guys who are great at trading but for the average joe investor who just wants to buy a coin and hope it goes up, there is no hope. Viacoin is an excellent example too of a coin that just goes nowhere even with alot of interest and name recognition.

NOTHING should be censored. If you believe in financial freedom and privacy, then freedom of speech should be unlimited as well.
1158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is going down - What Altcoins to buy? on: September 21, 2014, 04:43:53 AM
Buy URO, don't believe the fud, it's a legit project, legit developer, legit company. End of story.

The hyping on twitter by those scam accounts is killing it

Agreed, we could do without Satoshi and his dozen sock accounts spamming every 5 minutes. That's not exquisite!
1160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Gnosis [GNS] POW/POS Hybrid - Anon EM/Stealth Addressing - Scrypt on: September 17, 2014, 05:06:36 PM
All I know is whether the coin is a scam or not -- the fact this drama all started from everyone falling for a post from a fake account claiming to be a dev just proves how retarded the crypto community around here really is, it's actually sad.
