1061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] Darkcoin | First Anonymous Coin | Inventor of X11, DGW and Darksend | Instant TX on: November 06, 2014, 07:47:02 PM

Evan, I had no idea you were considering "printing" more Darkcoins to bail out ShadowCash. There should be a better solution. This will create a bad precedent and what will stop you not 'print' more money in the future? Ok, I get it, we need new dev team but we don't have to bail out a failing coin. Let's think about an alternative plan.

No offense but this is not a "bail out" to SDC, otherwise there are plenty of Anoncoins that Dark could buy out for no good reason. What this is is a last minute attempt to gain control of Shadowcoin's main selling point, ZK Snarks which offers true trustless, zero knowledge anonymity. It's not about HTML wallets or fancy GUI graphics, those can be bought rather easily.

I admit as an SDC investor it would be nice to have the Dark name recognition behind the coin but I also don't like the idea of my chunk of investment in SDC being worth 31x less. Valuating SDC's proportion based on market cap is folly because when ZK is released it is going to set the crypto world on fire and put SDC at the very least on equal footing with Dark market-cap wise.

Why is Poramin open about his identity on Vertcoin's domain registration yet guards it under Zerovert?

Why did the Poramin username just pop up on bitcointalk and created on October 26th?

Why have we not heard anything in the official Vertcoin thread?

If Poramin really is behind this would he confirm it on his linkedin or facebook? Or update his own Vertcoin thread?

Sorry but it's all really fishy to me.
1063  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Republicans take the Senate on: November 06, 2014, 03:05:06 PM
The Democrat party voted for the Iraq war all the same as the Republicans did, and the rank-and-file dems had access to the same intelligence files as Bush did.
1064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dear synechist, xc, blocknet, and dan metcalf on: November 06, 2014, 10:46:28 AM
I don't know why this all has to be so complex, when there's smoke, there's fire. Every single coin Dan has come running to offer help or do a code review for were prom pump projects. Halcyon, Aero, Key, and Util. Why has he not done code reviews for other outside coins? Whether he coded these coins personally and lied about reviewing someone else's work is irrelevant, the fact is the connection to Prometheus is very much real and that is disheartening.

I'd more give him the benefit of the doubt if had he ever done outside work for any coins with no proven ties to a pump and dump group because I seriously doubt prom was the only one constantly requesting his services but he hasn't. The ties are there, they are/were business partners or friends, you can't explain it any other way. Of course now they will come scurrying to deny it that they are only "acquaintances".

I could put my coins on a flash drive and hand carry it to someone in China and it would be faster and easier than all those steps.
1066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never buy ico: ByteCent, EQX, Sys, Craig, Vior... on: November 05, 2014, 03:42:44 AM
CRAIG delivered a working coin before ICO, so how was it a scam?
1067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [EQX] EquinoxCoin | POS | POD | EqxCloud MediaServices| Bittrex on: November 04, 2014, 11:58:28 PM
Again this is why 95% of crypto "news" sites are a joke. I bet you'd be hard pressed to find a crypto journalist who owns an AP style book and fact checks anything.
1068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Guldencoin interview on RT tv on: November 04, 2014, 03:56:43 PM
It is funny how this is a real world use currency and yet shitcoins which are nothing good for other than a pump and dump are valued more.

The adult industry (or any bigger company) cant and will not support a scammer !
its a other thing that the people at TIT are so naughty-brazenly-stupid ...
to call the Hustler CEO and Nick Guccione ... that is just crazy ...

To "call" the Hustler CEO? The Titcoin dev gave a joint presentation together  Cheesy
1072  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Titcoin - TIT] has launched!! [fork is done, get the new wallet] on: November 02, 2014, 05:29:20 PM
I've never really followed Coyote's drama with pot and doge, I do find his spamming annoying, but here is my take from a neutral outsider. Everyone is running around with claims he stole money from POT and DOGE, if that is the case, why didn't anyone file police reports? Pump and dumps in crypto may be a legal grey area but outright theft is theft. Are crypto nerds so dweebish they refuse to go get their money back or justice? To me it sounds like alot of whining on the internet from groups who have an agenda just as Patrick does.

I know if a guy stole a few thousand in coins from me and I knew his name and where he lived I'd go to the local police station and have his ass jailed. Having proof of digital transactions is even better because it creates a record.

That said, he "could" be lying about a multi-million dollar investment coming in but then again people would have called him a liar a month ago if he said a Playboy and Cosmo article was coming or that the dev for TIT would be hanging out with the CEO of Hustler and Nick Guccione.

Is Coyote shady? Probably. But guess what, the porn industry itself is shady, so perhaps they are made for each other. If you have a problem with Coyote's ethics, you have no business investing in a XXX currency either. I personally monitor results, not actions, and frankly the results the team has accomplished in getting the word out to mainstream publications and investors is phenomenal. If you really honestly believe they spent all these months of work, flew all around the world and secured media and meetings with all these VIPs just to go dump some coins at 3k satoshi, well I think you're the delusional one. Why settle for a cheeseburger when you can have the whole steak?
1073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 1 Uro coin = 1 tonne of urea on: October 31, 2014, 08:48:03 PM
Why are there so many locked uro threads?

Because what is the point to keeping them open honestly, it is the same 4-5 posters posting the same fud day in and day out for 5 months straight now. On the day of the big pump, over 100, yes 100 pages in the thread were added in 24 hrs made up purely of fud calling URO a scam. I've posted facts about GES that people later said, "wow if I had known about that I might have thought twice about URO..." but everytime you post something, Chang, Gugli or Truthful will come in and post 10 more posts burying it to the page before.

It is an exercise in futility.

+1 sofu

I used to respect Metcalfe and thought of XC as the "honest" alternative to Darkcoin but it seems he has thrown himself in the same lot as the pump and dumpers and is taking his cut of the rotten pie too.
1076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 1 Uro coin = 1 tonne of urea on: October 29, 2014, 02:00:23 PM
I can see it now, the fud will turn from "There is no event!" to "the event was not grand enough!"

No matter though, we already have one confirmed importer already

1077  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looks like the end is near for scam coins/ICOs - the Feds are coming! on: October 28, 2014, 06:50:39 PM
The irony is there's been a far greater number of POW scam coins than ICOs. At least some of rex's ICOs people got their money back.
