Is Ben Carson's endorsement a positive thing?

I'd expect Trump to lose a few votes after being endorsed by a schmuck like Ben Carson....

"Schmuck", or "shmuck", in American English is a pejorative term meaning one who is stupid or foolish, or an obnoxious, contemptible or detestable person. The word came into the English language from Yiddish (שמאָק, shmok), where it has similar pejorative meanings, but where its original and literal meaning is penis.

I'm glad to see you actually looked up a word you didn't understand... *golf-clap*

Might as well put a picture of Ben Carson under the word schmuck
1842  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Let's talk/vote about Donald Trump's MEAT! on: March 11, 2016, 04:27:31 PM
I don't understand how Trump defends his failed companies by faking their products?

The meat was bought at the store, the water was simply re-labeled, even the magazine was not "Trump Magazine"

What a douchebag... he should have given a speech instead of getting all defensive like that... looks bad

The meat looks delicious. You can buy it right now with your brother's credit card.

Where can I buy these lovely non-Trump steaks?  Certainly not DonaldJTrump.com

Trump only sells stickers, hats, and t-shirts on his website... no meat, water or magazines

How do the super delegates play into this?  Can they swing the election to Clinton even if Bernie wins the nomination?

Yes they can, because they're not bound by caucus or primary results.

It's never been done before, and would certainly destroy the party if they did such

Superdelegates most of the time follow the majority vote then?

What are they used for then?

History lesson?

Before 1968, there was no primary vote... party leaders on both sides selected their candidate...

In 1982, democratic party leaders decided they wanted to pick the nominee again, so they invented superdelegates to override the popular vote

In 2008, most of the superdelegates pledged for Hillary Clinton early in the primary process (like they did this year)... after Barrack Obama gained a majority of the popular vote, the superdelegates changed their votes to support Obama instead of Hillary

It's too late now, the Americans (or maybe corporate media) have already chosen their candidate - whoever generates the most hype, attention and subsequently money. It is really shallow, but most people have voted because he has the most recognisable face - they are not interested in genuine and well thought out ideas to do better.

They certainly proved that when they didn't elect Ron Paul the three times he ran for President.

Things are a but different now...

A few years ago the establishment media would have shut down both Bernie Sanders and Trump... But, thanks to the internet and social media, they are both contenders
1848  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can you feel the Bern? on: March 10, 2016, 11:03:51 PM
I'm hearing that Bernie won the debate last night pretty strongly.  That could give him some more momentum in the upcoming primaries.

It was a massacre...

If the debate were a boxing match, Bernie had the TKO by round 3

Bernie threw some serious punches, and Hillary had no defense... Bernie rope-a-doped Hillary all over the debate

So it looks like the tide could be turning, but he has a long way to go.  Can he win enough deligates to overcome Clinton's lead?

Clinton is leading by less than 200 delegates (superdelegates don't count)

The southern states hold primaries first, so it was an obvious early lead for Hillary...

After the 15th, which may be another split, it's all Bernie with the northern states
1849  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Chuck Norris Endorses...Ted Cruz on: March 10, 2016, 10:29:15 PM
A Chuck Norris endorsement will swing 10, maybe even 12 votes!  That's huge!

If your vote is swayed by what Chuck Norris thinks... well... I don't know what to say...
1850  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: CPU Overloads when running bitcoind -daemon on: March 10, 2016, 08:20:17 PM
Bitcoin uses a lot of CPU to verify blocks, and verifying 400,000 blocks does put a strain on the CPU

The only option I'm aware of is:
Settings -> Options -> Number of script verification threads

This will let you set the number of CPU threads to utilize (assuming you have more than 1 core in your CPU)

You can find a list of command-line/conf options here, but I don't think any of those will help you:

1851  Other / Politics & Society / Re: USA have found the cure of CANCER? on: March 10, 2016, 07:54:42 PM
We had one man who claimed that he found a herbal cure of cancer. His cure tested and decided that cure helps against cancer. Then on a tv program, doctors and proffessors made fun on him. Then he sent his cure  to an international pharmacy company for test. I don't remember which but i think it was in Canada. That company decided that cure not useful against to cancer.
Maybe 5 years later one of my friend's father was throat cancer. I remembered him. His situation was hopeless. After many kemotherapy seances he had short time.
That man looked his reports and said that "if only you would came before kemotherapy". But he gave his cure for helping his situation. Can you believe?  He lived 6 months more.

I've heard of such stories. There are people with cancer types which with kemo or with the wrong kemo only gets worse. There are also examples where alternative medicines have helped. But this in great deal depends on the type of cancer, on your own organism and imunity system etc. But I also beleive that there are medicines for lot of types of cancer that can actually heal but the pharmaceutical industy woudn't have use of it and they are holding them back.
I have read one medical article, one doctor was telling that cancer is not a dissease. Only lack of B17 vitamine. Years ago there was scurvy dissease called sailor dissease. When medical technology improved it was found that dissease actually was lack of C vitamine. Perhaps there's very, easy cure of cancer and has already been found but pharmacy monsters don't allow and hold back.

The problem with claims of, "this one doctor", is that... if it worked, it would be more than just one doctor...  more likely he fell victim to confirmation bias, small sample size, or other problem with his study/claim... I'm sure you could google and find out why other doctors do not support his claim... there is no conspiracy among doctors to keep cancer killing people...

The pharmaceutical industry is tricky...

If they find a chemical that kills cancer cells in a lab... it'll be 10-20 years before they have gone through all the animal testing and whatever is necessary to even begin human trials...

I think it's more red tape than holding back... they would love to be able to sell you some new drug for $750/pill

You forgot to add orthodox chrisitanity in your pool.
Did you forgot about russians, serbs, bulgarians, romanians, greeks, armenians? Angry

I assume that falls under one of the 3 categories of Christianity that I listed?

Is that not Catholic?  Then choose Christian - Other

lol, with this question you earned yourself some serious friends!

I thought half of all members here are from russia or around.
Hopefully they will forgive us.  Cheesy
We are sinners!

Why isnt there a choice for just christian, which  I would prefer....if.

Before the 20th century, Christians did not identify as such...

The only reason they fly the same flag today (Christian) is so they outnumber the Muslims... If you simply remove the Catholics, Christians are the 4th largest religion in the world...

Having been a Christian, I know firsthand they do not believe the same dogma... As a protestant, I had been to various protestant churches (baptist, pentecostal, etc), but never a Mormon or Catholic church (discounting Cathédrale Notre Dame de Paris)... there is a clear separation in beliefs and practices...

Christian Father Selling Daughter's Virginity
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LS06RDWf0oo
What an irrevent wording you use!
You may don't believe in christianity but it doesn't give you right to insult. I think you don't have anything to believe

Of course it does.  Especially when a belief is ridiculous and harmful to others.

Not only we have the right to insult religion, it is our duty to expose the bullshit religion preaches.

Check your fucking calendar, what year does it say?
I don't care when!  I care what you say about. You never can insult what people believe in. You may not believe in same way. Possible!  You have not to accept. Ofcoutse!
But never!  Never you can insult. Do atheists build the peace on world? You have, nothing to be afraid of. At, the least a christian has a God to be afraid of being judged by when does a sin or, something bad.

First, the man tried to sell his daughter's virginity in the magazine named, Christianity Today... so it is relevant...

Atheists are the only ones building peace... religions only know war, genocide, murder, pillaging, rape, slavery, burning witches, etc...

Know thyself

I forked a bitcoin QR code generator a while ago and modified it for Dash. It now has a dedicated domain name (https://dashqr.org/) and I finally got around to uploading the site and getting an SSL certificate for the new domain yesterday. Everything seems to be working as it should, hopefully it can be of use to some of you. Donations are most welcome, the address can be found on the site.

Looks great.

Just a suggestion...Maybe you can add the amount, label, and message fields similar to how the wallet does it.

When I chose which QR code generator to fork, I did play around with another bitcoin one which offered those features. However, if memory serves me correctly, I couldn't get it to work without filling in all of the fields, which I didn't want. I'm not much of a coder though, so the fix may be something trivial.

I might have a look at it again over the next few days, though if I don't get around to it, I probably won't have a chance for a while.

If you need a better QR generator for Dash, I can hook you up

I made a full featured one at https://resources.moloch.net/qr-generator

If you crank up the EC-Level, you can crop that % of pixels out of the image and the code will still scan (so you can add a custom image in the middle)

The world applauded when Trump contracts HIV in Sacha Baron Cohen's new movie "The Brothers Grimsby"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kodKi7jJsc

A lot of people applauded too, when gays were dying of AIDS in the 80s... Maybe you were not born yet.

Don't hate the player, hate the game

I hate pedophiles, I hate islamists, I hate people without any principles. I will never hate you. You seem passionate about your bernie cause as much as I am about this TRUMP movement. You have a hard time understanding why people can't be like you, but that's the beauty of the whole creation. That's the beauty of the TRUMP energy. You can feel it. It is not berning.

And I like to give you a purpose in life too, even if it's just for a few minutes a day on a forum. This is love bro, not hate.

Presume thou not to speak for thy great queen. She trusts my judgment, e'en as thou shouldst do. Thou dost assume too much, with pride too great

Quit projecting your own thoughts onto me... you don't know me, quit pretending you do

You neither know me, Trump nor even yourself... quit playing games kid

Oh please... Bernie is up by 6% according to the national polls...

Bernie also beat the Polls in Michigan by 22.9%!!!

If all the polls are off by 22.9%, Bernie should win by 28.9%... can you say landslide?

I get no satisfaction beating a dead horse that does not know it is dead already. You can camp, eat and use the bathroom in this thread if you want. Bring your own food, water from the toilette is free.

I had the unfortunate experience once of encountering a horse by the side of the road that was the victim of a hit and run.  It was bleeding profusely, and it was, as you say, a dead horse that did not know it was dead already.

Having no guns or knives to put the poor animal out of it's misery, there was nothing I could do.  The thought actually did cross my mind, though.  "I could beat the dead horse," and then I would be able to say I beat a dead horse.  But that it was already dead did not mean it might not bite back.

It's useful, though to attempt to actualize many phrases used in speech.  Now I'm not an advocate of beating dead horses, you see.  From the above it's obvious that I declined the opportunity.  But I do suggest that advocates of Bernie mull all this over while they piss into the wind.

I don't know why but I read "advocates of Bernie mules pissing this all over the wind..."

I probably won't rub it in your face when Bernie beats Trump in the general election... probably...

You should invite your brother here, he's the smarter one.

Troll much?
