That's right. But should we stay unintelligent to live an "easier" life? I don't think so. Actually the lives of unintelligent people are also hard but they just fail to notice it drinking alcohol and taking drugs. So I think it is still better to be intelligent even though it is a curse. ) i perfectly understand and thats how i always thought when i was younger. you could make the case that the unintelligent have harder lives if you look at it objectively. like they say ignorance is bliss. i believe that subjectively, the unintelligent is more often than not the happier one. i have read somewhere that IQ has some sort of a "sweet spot" for happiness. somewhere around 125. theres a lot of truth to it. we like to think we're rational beings. i believe we really are not. all we have are expost facto rationalizations of our hearts desires, no matter how intelligent we think we are. i am writing this with a feeling of frustration. although i feel some kind of sick pleasure of gaining this "wisdom" if i may say. I particularly hate that IQ sweet spot... 125 IQ is where you find nothing but asshats and wise-asses... people who get used to being smarter than most people, and start to think they are the smartest guy on the planet (like Donald Trump)... they only seem happy, because they get a small modicum of joy out of trolling stupid people... but trolls are never truly happy After the troll-creating sweetspot of 125 IQ, there is a break around 140 IQ, where people less troll-like, but still not happy... mostly saddened by all the ignorance and stupidity in the world, and the understanding that you can't fix stupid |

"Not consistent with atheist belief" means that the definition of religion includes supernatural agencies. Nearly all dictionary definitions require a belief in the supernatural in order to be a religion. Therefore nearly all definitions of religion are not consistent with atheism.

Because people know so little about God, factually, they need religion to present God to themselves in ways they understand.
In fact, people don't know almost nothing about God, purpose of life, creation of Universe, spiritual world etc. Science can't give us this answers, only God can. Because we are not mature enough, and divided because of different races, nationalities, cultures, traditions etc. God didn't have other choice but to work with each group of people separately, according to their own understanding and maturity. So, because of this, we have so many religions and faiths today, not because there are a lot gods. God is only one. So, because we have one, common Heavenly Father, our Creator, we are all his children and between us brothers and sisters, part of one universal family. As soon as we realize it, it will be better for us. There are no real reason for fighting and conflicts in the world, once we realize that we all belong to one global family. That's just silly and ignorant... The gods of various religions have almost nothing in common... they cannot be the same person... How would you explain Hinduism? Multiple gods? Elephant god? Blue god? 6-arm god? You think that's the same God that you believe in?!? Almost all religions teach the same things: - We are created beings - There are God or some higher being in Heaven - Once people lived in Heaven or Paradise but fall - Story about Big Flood - Teach about absolute values, ethics and moral - Teach about spiritual values - Teach about life after death I can mention more things but here, you have enough evidence that all religions have something in common.
