Só reportanto uma experiência minha...
Se pretendes instalar 4 RADEONs por gabinete, acabei de descobrir o seguinte... lol
Os gabinetes 4U que existem por ae, na santa efigênia, etc... Só tem 7 slots de expansão na traseira, 4 radeons ocupam 8... Então tu só vai conseguir instalar, no máximo 3, radeons por gabinete, mesmo que tenha fonte e slot PCI-e sobrando na MOBO...
Estou atrás de gabinetes 4U com 8 slots, "compatíveis" com as placas-mãe MSI 790fx-GD70 e 890fxa-GD70...
Pois as minhas placas-mãe são quad-crossfire... só tenho algumas com 3 PCI-e...
Outro detalhe, passei esta tarde furando um dos gabinetes e instalando vários coolers bem acima das radeons... Precisa ventilar MUITO.
Estou montando um esquema de ventilação legal no meu CPD... Todo o ar gelado rodeia a frente do rack, os coolers puxam o ar frio pela frente e as placas soltam o ar quente na traseira do rack...
Pretendo ir no Paraguai em novembro comprar umas 5870... Se quiser, posso tentar trazer pra ti ou, você poderia ir junto! ;-)
Vários contatos meus aqui de São Paulo, dizem que não tem mais 5870 por U$249,00 no PY... No site naveshop.com também não tem mais... Vou aguardar...
Das minhas 5870, só vou vender a HIS pro Pafu porque havia prometido pra ele... As outras acho que não vou vender mais não... O dólar subiu muito e já eu consegui um jeito bom para refrigerá-las também... Só não faço mix de modelos diferentes no mesmo gabinete, pois fica muito mais complicado de resfriá-las...

Anyone running 5970's with cgminer? What settings are best and what hash rates should I be getting?
It depends... for example, I'm running three 5970s in one machine under Ubuntu 11.04 64-bit. memclocks are all at 180. core clocks on one card are 820,810 , another 850,840, and another 870, 860. All at stock voltages. I arrived at those core clocks by watching which gpu's got sick and lowering them 10 mhz at a time until they didn't get sick very often. I use -I 9 on the command line. At 870 mhz, I average 400 MH/s, at 850 its 390 MH/s, and at 810 its 370 Mh/s. If you can overvolt, you can probably get higher performance. I keep the fans at 100% and temps are all in the 70-75C range in a warm-ish room with 16 rigs. I don't use cgminer to set the clocks or fans (yet), I still use AMDOverdriveCtrl in a bash script because that's what I had been doing before cgminer came along. I originally had higher core clocks under phoenix, but get as good or better performance from cgminer with fewer crashes. Can you copy and paste your AMDOverDriver configuration file, with overvolt, for your 5970?! Thanks, Thiago |

Just coz I want to see a real block chain one .... not scam chain ones or test ones like I used to test it  Anyone found a real bitcoin block with cgminer >= 2.0.4 yet? and the matching "Accepted 00000000... BLOCK!" to go with it? Just curious ... I'm curious too... cgminer-2.0.5 seems to be a little buggy. It does not compile at the same machine that cgminer-2.0.4 and have this "[2011-09-30 10:02:31] Accepted 00000000.c5ff79a3.fd4f7277 GPU 0 thread 0" block... |

Bom, a HIS 5870 iCooler V é bem, bem mais silenciosa e, o cooler dela é bem mais eficiente do que o da XFX, é mais avançado... A GPU fica bem mais fria o tempo todo, coisa de 5º a 8º mais fria com o mesmo clock!... Mas no mais, a GPU é a mesma... 5870... Mesmos MHash no fim das contas... Anyway, eu me liguei mesmo que o preço estava meio salgado, no Mercado Livre o preço já está em R$690,00, eu pago o SEDEX para todo Brasil. Estou vendendo a HIS e as ATIs porque justamente o sistema de ventilação (coolers e entradas e saídas de ar) delas é diferente, e quero padronizar todo o meu Garimpo de Bitcoins na XFX 5870 que você mostrou. Pois estou projetando todo o sistema de ventilação baseado nela (dos gabinees e da sala), e não na HIS... Não quero ficar misturando diferentes modelos no meu garimpo por causa do sistema de ventilação que estou fabricando... Abx! Thiago |

Bom, vamos aos dados:
* MEM sempre em 300Mhz
* Cooler sempre entre 90-100%
GPU 850 = 380MHash / 59~60º
GPU 875 = 390MHash / 61~62º
GPU 900 = 400MHash / 63~65º
GPU 941 = 415MHash / 67~69º
Estou utilizando o Ubuntu Linux 11.04 64 bits com Catalyst 11.6, SDK 2.4 e CGMiner 2.0.3 com "-I 5" (agression do cgminer baixo)... Para não atrapalhar o uso do desktop...
Não passo de 900Mhz, passei agora para te dar uma idéia...

Pessoal, Gostaria de explicar o motivo desta venda... Tenho 3 modelos diferentes de 5870 em mãos, umas XFX 5870 mais novas e mais simples ( http://xfxforce.com/en-us/products/graphiccards/hd%205000series/5870.aspx), a placa de circuito fica a mostra no lado de trás e tem a carcaça preta, e tenho 3 destas ATI RADEON 5870 anunciadas, que tem a parte de cima vermelha e toda a placa fica escondida em uma carenagem boa, de metal, se não me engano. E uma HIS... Porém, estas 3 ATI RADEON 5870 esquentam demais o meio ambiente aonde elas estão, elas parecem um secador de cabelo... Já as mais novas e mais simples, esquentam a sala bem menos... O engraçado é que tanto as mais novas, quanto estas, funcionam na mesma temperatura interna... Mas as antigas, liberam muito mais calor no ambiente... E, eu não posso deixá-las ligadas aonde elas estão, pois é uma sala pequena e fechada, com um ar-condicionado fraco... Quem não tiver problemas com ventilação, esta placa atende bem. O mesmo vale para a 5970 que tenho... Ela funciona a 65~70 graus, porém, é um outro secador de cabelo! Eu preciso de placas mais frias... Como as novas 5870 com carcaça de plástico mesmo... Para estas placas, eu recomendo um fluxo contínuo de ar fresco entrando, e o ar quente saindo, com coolers e exaustores, e não uma sala fechada com ar-condicionado. Abx! Thiago |

Tem quase um ano de uso...
Nunca passei o clock dela de 901Mhz. Ela nunca passou de 63º...
Super silenciosa... Na caixa com todos os acessórios e adaptadores...
Ela não fica garimpando em 24x7, pois está instalada no computador da minha esposa e ela não gosta de barulho (e calor) das outras 5870, esta placa é mais para joguinhos mesmo... lol

estou testando o https://pool.ruxum.com parece estável até o momento, mas o problema eh q nao tem mta gente.... vai demorar ateh achar um block.. cansei do eligius.... eh mto instavel O legal / diferencial deste pool é que ele é integrado com uma casa de câmbio, de forma que você pode receber em dólares "direto" do seu miner... Ou seja, o câmbio é automático. Mas nunca fui pra lá!! Estou passeando pelo BTCGuild essa semana... Está rendendo bem! A previsão minha era ฿2.80 por dia mas, estou faturando ฿3.40!! Abx! Thiago |

I mean, I want to forget about trading and the fucking price of Bitcoins in Dollars, Euros, Reais, etc...
Or, when the reverse will be a reality? I mean, when the dollar that will have its price in Bitcoins?
