Com uma simples atitude, consegui que 3 amigos meus, aceitassem os meus Bitcoins para pagamento de dívidas pessoais.
O que eu fiz?!
Simples: Eu disse que eu pagaria em Bitcoins a minha dívida mas que, caso o Bitcoin desvalorizasse, eu pegaria os Bitcoins de volta e pagava em Real/Dólar mesmo.
Por exemplo:
Devo U$150,00 para o Fulano.
Paguei ฿50.00 Para o Fulano.
SE o preço Bitcoin cair para muito menos do que U$3,00, eu pegarei os ฿50.00 de volta e pagarei os U$150.00 via outro meio (a.k.a banco ou PayPal).
Deu certo! O meu amigo que não estava aceitando os Bitcoins, resolveu aceitar nestes termos.
É questão de confiança mesmo.

Amigo,
Estamos construindo um futuro SEM políticos, eles não são necessários, muito pelo contrário, eles só atrapalham.
Não adianta nada ter boas intenções, tentar criar um novo partido político "justo" e consertar a atual sociedade. Pois ela não tem conserto. O melhor a se fazer, é criar uma nova versão da sociedade, construída de baixo para cima, já sem os políticos, cujo objetivo será o bem estar humano e da Terra.
Estou com mais de 20 pessoas, já ofertamos vários terrenos aqui no Brasil, de cerca de 12~20 halqueires, para iniciar uma nova civilização, digo, para iniciarmos a civilização de fato porque hoje, ainda não somos civilizados.
Os políticos não farão parte desta nova organização social que estamos montando. Os bancos também ficarão todos de fora.
O futuro será próspero, muito mais igualitário, 100% sustentável, livre de poluição e fome.

Olá! Sim, eu mandei uma mensagem pvt para o autor do cgminer, pedindo suporte para Scryot, ele falou simplesmente: "não". É bem provavel que você estava garimpando por Bitcoins usando a sua CPU!!! Litecoin miner: https://github.com/ArtForz/cpuminer Litecoin melhor pool no momenmto: http://pool-x.eu/ Se você tem CPU Athlon ou Phenom, ao compilar o cpuminer, antes de rodar o "make", edite o arquivo Makefile e altere a linha que começa com CFLAGS para: "CFLAGS = -mtune=amdfam10 -O3 -ffast-math -mabm -msse4a -pipe" Abx! Anyone else having trouble with cgminer 2.0.8 requiring periodic restarts to solve network issues?
I saw this morning that my hashrate was pretty much zero on both my machines and had been for an hour or so. It kept switching pools and complaining the main pool and failover pool (slush) were too slow. Hashrate of bitminter and slush pool itself was good, so it had to be me.
Checked my internet connection and it seemed fine. Restarted my routers nonetheless. No change.
Then I stopped and restarted cgminer on the linux machine, and it instantly worked smooth again, no performance or network issues, while the other miner (windows) still kept complaining about "slow to respond" and having 0 hashrate most of the time, with only short bursts of normal performance on any of the pools. Both machines are on the same LAN, so it didnt seem like a network issues. After restarting the second cgminer, it also instantly performed fine again.
Im a little confused? Ive never had this. I had cgminer 2.0.7 running for months nonstop and Ive had cgminer 2.0.8 up since it was released with no problems.
I have this issue too. If I start some download which consumes 100% of my link, the miners can't reach the pool and, the hashrate slowsdown and, never come up again automatically. So, I need to stop/start cgminer. |

Not starting from upstart. I'm using CLI.
BTW, to avoid issues with starting it from upstart, just add in front of cgminer wraper script the var "DISPLAY=:0 cgminer -o http:dasdasdas...."

100% CPU Usage Bug for me under Linux with 4 x 5870 with Catalyst 11.11 fixed !
Finally.
Not for me. Ubuntu 11.10 64 bits Catalyst 11.11 CGMiner 2.0.8 CGMiner consumes 120% of my CPU (core2 duo). I'll fallback to Ubuntu 11.04 + Catalyst 11.6 + AMDAPPSDK v2.4 and CGMiner 2.0.6. I've noticed this behaviour when using the opencl headers provided by debian and the ICD provided with the 11.11 drivers (package amd-opencl-icd in debian). Installed the app sdk from http://forums.amd.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=390&threadid=125792 instead and the CPU usage is down to ~10%. (This is on a 64bit debian testing with the 11.11 driver from the repos.) Confirmed! No more CPU hogging unless debian's headers are installed alongside amd's 11.11 drivers. Compared to 11.6 driver I also noticed a slight performance improvement of just over 1% [HMash/s] on my VLIW4 cards. No discernible hashrate change for VLIW5. Moreover, the power draw seems to have dropped by 3% but I've been only able to measure power draw for one mining rig - the rest are off-site. Can anyone confirm a slight power draw decrease going from 11.6 to 11.11 driver? I'm still enable to use CGMiner 2.0.8 at Ubuntu 11.10 with Catalyst 11.11. CGMiner consumes 350% of my 4 core. And the Catalyst 11.6 does not compile the fglrx module under Ubuntu 11.10. I'm curious, how do you guys are using CGMiner 2.0.8 with Ubuntu 11.10?!?! Thanks! Thiago |

Here's a crazy thought I had.
So, I'm sure there are probably 1 or 2 extreme diehards lurking around here that will be seriously intrigued by what I'm about to say. For everyone else, consider it a fun thought I had the pleasure of entertaining for the past few minutes.
I would estimate that there are a fairly large amount of people on this forum that all meet the following critera:
1.) They check Bitcoin everyday or almost every day
2.) They are invested in Bitcoin both financially and emotionally
3.) They genuinely believe Bitcoin is an improvement upon traditional currency and believe it would be good for society
4.) They are generally good and honest people
Additionally, I would add that these members likely have a wide variety of talents and abilities as a group.
So, how about all the people on this forum who meet these criteria liquidate all of their assets, collect their money, join together, and build their own community from scratch. The cash from their "real world" lives could be used to establish rudimentary housing and infrastructure. Then, Bitcoin would be used exclusively within this community. Community members would work to collect food, keep the community area clean, sell basic products/services, etc.
While the community will (naturally) have a law prohibiting the use of fiat currency (punishable by stoning), there will be an exception in the case of paying the electric bill. How else ya gonna mine?
If you ever wanted to see the price of Bitcoin increase, this would be chance of a lifetime! With Bitcoin being the only legal means of acquiring goods and services, Bitcoin would be practically virtually (get it?) priceless!
Er...but what about the exchange rate?
You mean...no more fun on the exchanges? No more rally cries while dawning donning viking hats and blowing kazoos, the smell of titanium in the air?

I'm already doing this. The land will have about 20 hectares, with rivers, wind, solar power, food and homes for every single person of the community... All of our technology will be open sourced, including electric generators, cars, money, food, medications, water treatment, etc... The CryptoCurrencies we are planing to use include the Bitcoin itself, of course, Litecoin and Namecoin. If fact, my objetive is to create a "moneyless" society, based entirely in a resource-based economy but, this is for the future, long run... All our Bitcoin Mining Rig will be powered by renewable energy, produced in our experimental city, so, no electricity bills. The generators (hybrid powerplants), nobreaks, powerlines, trafos, etc, will all be open source. So, everybody in the World will be able to copy what we are doing, for free. The base of our city will be built using the project "Open Source Ecology - GVCS". And the future it can be somethuing like The Venus Project. Best! Thiago |

I think it can be like: Team 1 - Total members = 4 User1 = member of "Team 1" = 1200MHash User2 = member of "Team 1" = 800MHash User3 = member of "Team 1" = 1700MHash User4 = member of "Team 1" = 1400MHash Team 1 = 5100MHash / 5.1GHash I'm not a developer but, I guess you can create a new table called "teams" and insert the data there... For example: select * from eclipsemc_teams;
