Guys, what version is the latest wallet? Cause I have the 1.1.1 and I just saw that there's 1.1.2 Can you read big red letters?

That requires a 3rd pre-swap fork for everyone, and the exchanges. Not really a good idea for an already flailing chain...
The problem is with one of the nodes, I'm pretty sure, I'm getting a ton of rejected blocks. suprnova also appears to be 2 blocks ahead of my client, waiting on a response from ocminer in irc to see what block his pool is on
All miners have left Suprnova as predicted after having scavenged everything. The last block found there was 7110.

I have successfully mined a block from the CPU with 3 confirmations so far. The procedure is as follows:
Open the debug window in your new wallet and in the command line enter the command "setgenerate true -1". This is alien talk for SHA miners LoL. Your CPU will be mining from the wallet. We dont need ASICs or GPUs if all play along.

It seems blocks are slow and that all have left Suprnova which is human nature I guess. Perhaps if we can get diff low enough the blocks can be solved by the wallets with setgenerate using CPU. LoL running a production SHA256 chain from the wallet in this day and age. Lets try to use CPUs since ASICs running on 0 coin reward seems scarce.

So POW is over and it is only POS now.

It depends on the advertising plans. If the clickthrough's create demand then that should be enough. If the advertising plans are not done, then something else needs to create demand like a high stake %. High stake % has its pros and cons though.

The idea 8% for 21 day then fork to 8% annual was popular. I did this so people could pay small amount of cash, 10 euros or whatever in beginning, with rented ASICS or buy from exchange and participate. You buy 1500 coin for .005 and have over 4000 by day 21 was the dream. Price would stay high because everyone rushing to buy coin make this good investment and gather interest while i worked on advertising portal. Distribute premine through clickthrough ads after high stake 8% daily was finished, to gather even more interest and prove system work. This all change now and no longer reality but better developer is bringing interest to this project so I want to still be in community I think it is important that there are a development fund under escrow, especially if the original dev's vision included things like coins for click through which sounds like a good idea. If donations have to be asked all the time it can become a problem due to human nature - nobody will want to donate and only a few will. It should be possible to establish this during the coin swap. This can be done in 3 ways: 1) Community contributes like they do with coins that have no premine. Although this seems to hamper things a bit and slow down development. An amount can be agreed upon e.g. 40k 2) A tax of 1 or 2% is levied by Bittrex on the new coin supply and the remainder becomes the pool for swap out. 3) When the new chain is launched there will be a coin supply in an account. Bittrex goes into staking mode and stake that for 1 day. The stake becomes the development fund. The coins are then swapped out.

Guys coin start PoS?
Yes, POS working.
|
|
|
@ IGotSpots When did you start POS?
POS will only start technically at block 16001 or practically 16002.
|
|
|
Sure, but I'd rather have more positive trust instead. That's more important to me This is important: In essence, substance over form, your whole emoney balance has been entrusted to him and he could have 1) screwed the community, 2) raised his middle fingers when approached to look at the code, but he didn't. Then everyone would have lost their emoney. Everyone should leave Spots positive trust.

After the efforts put in by Spots and ocminer to get the chain online again, miners were onto this like flies when there was a sniff of money to be made. Instead of just sacrificing a bit for the sake of keeping difficulty low for a smooth transition they jumped on it. It is therefore not far fetched to assume that human nature will prevail again and that once there is nothing to devour they will leave like a swarm of flies when the rewards stop at block 7,000. This means that there is a possibility that the difficulty will have to be nursed down again from 30m to 1m from block 7.001. Unless the swarm of flies has a bit of decency and leave gradually so that the difficulty can lower gradually as they go.
Well thats just it, after block 7,000 we WANT the difficulty to fall back down and apply just enough hash to move the chain. The big greedy renters will be gone, and we will do what we need to to get to block 16k. Vegas Its 9000 blocks at zero reward. there will be no big miners. Theoretically it will take roughly 6 days to get past the pow before pos starts. Well it's either that or people lose their coins because they aren't paying attention close enough. We chose to give people a little more time I agree this was the best route chosen. The point I was trying to make was that I hope that the big miners will leave gradually and not suddenly, so that diff can go low for the remaining 9,000 blocks and the chain can tick over with very little hash. if they leave suddenly a plan will first have to be made to get the diff low again else the chain will be stuck due to high diff.

im actually dying to know who dumped...DYING
It is irrelevant. Any price movements during the switch over are just opportunistic. Price movements after switch over will be relevant.

When Bittrex was still down in maintenance I sent to C-CEX and it is stuck and not confirming on their side.

Well, nobody said rewards hadn't dropped. This is fucked up, too, apparently. Well it's whatever, I guess. It is rewarding 600 coins per block now, which would have been good to know that reductions hadn't been working. Mining stops at block 100k, so I guess that will be the swap block now since mining is active and new coins are being made. You can look at the code, I wrote it as it should be written, following his style. This is why I wanted to swap it to a new chain right away and avoid dealing with this mess
This would have been terrific to know. I can't see the rewards too far back in the explorer, either, to check what needs to be accepted in old blocks and what doesn't. This shit is even more fucked up than I thought, and I thought it was bad before...
Working with ocminer in irc right now through the history trying to figure out what the fuck works and what doesn't...
are you saying we should start renting like crazy? Only if you want to make matters worse.

C-CEX tx are stuck. Diff jumping high. It will be difficult to move tx to the exchanges if the big hash rate drops now.

Diff is 7m we will be screwed if those miners stop mining now.

Is it actually creating new coins...?
yes !! really...I was thinking that was from PPLNS, but it's not 75687 2015-03-02 23:12:06 Credit Unconfirmed 6019 24.83032414 75417 2015-03-02 23:12:02 Donation Unconfirmed 6017 0.26696081 75411 2015-03-02 23:12:02 Fee Unconfirmed 6017 0.13482869 75405 2015-03-02 23:12:02 Credit Unconfirmed 6017 13.48286931 75273 2015-03-02 23:10:01 Donation Unconfirmed 6016 1.25291870 75267 2015-03-02 23:10:01 Fee Unconfirmed 6016 0.63278722 75261 2015-03-02 23:10:01 Credit Unconfirmed 6016 63.27872215 75039 2015-03-02 23:07:02 Donation Unconfirmed 6014 0.63192520 75033 2015-03-02 23:07:02 Fee Unconfirmed 6014 0.31915414 It does not look material in the bigger scheme.
