good for you bro

What is that supposed to mean?

He's just happy for you, why do you always feel attacked ?
I know Bigs owns a few coins and then i really mean a few he always talks good about warp.

Just be happy for once that people show interest in WARP and don't act so frustrated.

+1000
That's just crazy how he can react. It prouves once again how much he's not made for marketing and communication.
Perhaps a good dev but definitely not for the rest.  Huh

I remember another guy that also had the same attitude problem, IgotSpots, He was known as a great coder, also with attitude problems when asked simple questions. He is also called a scammer by alot of big players on btctalk.. Hmm.. Lets hope not.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1310110.msg13410831#msg13410831

Spots' coins cannot import a bootstrap.dat file as per the init.cpp file of his source code and the only way to import a chain is by copying in a detached database. This inability is a dead giveaway. Warp has bootstrap.dat functionality in the init.cpp file, therefore I doubt shapetwist is Spots.

you seriously need an exchange for this, before it goes into the oblivion, we can at least create an oct thread in the market section, to encourage some trading

Create a thread for that so long yes. I will buy at 15k. PM me if you want to sell.
1623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WARP - Something different - VPN Wallet BETA Release - Bittrex/YoBit on: March 17, 2016, 08:42:58 PM
Things have changed.

I used to do daily updates - that won't happen anymore. The risk of turning WARP into a pump was really high. There was way too much inside info (slack), the top holders accumulating more and more, and a minority of users trying to extort important info and pressure me into some decisions that would never benefit WARP, but only the top 10%. At the moment, if we have people leaving, I don't care.

Updates will come when they are relevant. Not everyday, maybe not even every week.
We have released a Linux VPN wallet like it was promised. However, the Windows wallet unfortunately failed. The reason for this is: OpenVPN acts differently depending on your box version. I am busy rebuilding the windows wallet completely in order to work in any windows version. This is not simple math.

Along with that, there are new plans like I said before. When time comes, they'll be presented.

I have to say that is refreshing not to care about the price, not even looking at the market, and having time to actually work instead of keeping everybody up to date every single day. Maybe some of you don't like that, and strange the sudden change, but I have very good reasons for it. WARP will not become a pump coin, and it's not for the benefit of a few people. This is for the masses. And, at the moment, I make the decisions. Pressure is useless.

Someone has learned a thing or two.
1624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XCT] C-Bit - Elegantly Solving Bitcoin's Blockchain Problem [SHA256][POW] on: March 16, 2016, 02:54:51 AM
For me personally your grades are worth shit .Good remember when you gave "your grades A" to scams and shitcoins. No offense but for me and some other your grades are worthless.
If somebody don't belive it's just a sample (Pharmacoin fucking scam) and there are many another
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1082835.msg11562051;topicseen#msg11562051    Yes that how you mislead people. And they invest in a bad coins.

I promised myself I will stay out of the CBit thread but since my post is not about CBit itself per se (although indirectly) and referring to general principles as it was applied to CBit I will post it.

I dont think it is fair of you to criticize earlz in the general way you are doing. You must remember that there are three relevant categories in general in the IT world - people, process and technology. Applied to a coin this would be people (dev team characteristics), process (launch procedures and other general procedures) and technology (code). He is only really required to give his view on the technology part which is the actual code. If he picks up stuff more than just the code in any of the categories people, process and technology he will post it. It is difficult to pick up things in the people and process categories but he always at least gives a view on the code. It is a bonus if he picks up other stuff.

A project can have A-grade code and nothing material popping up in the people or process of the coin at the time of review - just like normal auditing procedures from an auditor. You can compare this with an audit of financial statements of a company which can be unqualified, even if there are well hidden issues. However it is possible for something to pop up later non-code wise like a dev that hid scam intentions very well early on that decided to disappear later. You cannot blame earlz for that. To take my analogy further, such a company with unqualified financial statements could have a management team that decides later to defraud the shareholders but their intentions were not clear at the time of the audit. You will probably see that where there were A-grade reviews of a coin that turned out to be a scam it was on the code only and he did not vouch for the dev or processes because they were hid well by the dev team. You should rather be glad if earlz picks up some people/process or potential scam issues with a coin.

I also have to add that in itself it is not an issue if a dev team holds a significant portion of a coin in general. It comes down to how trustworthy they are and how responsible thy are with it and their purpose for holding it eg. to dump later (bad) or to use for development and funding (good).

Any reason why the dev is online but not answering the questions?

Giveaway

Will happen every 48-72 hours.

How to participate;
It is very simple!

Follow us on https://twitter.com/PulseCrypto to be eligible for the giveaway.
And we will randomly pick one of our followers and send them Pulse with a C-CEX  redeemable code.

Where did you get coins for a give-away since there is no pre-mine?
1630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ============= Pulse: The heartbeat of the internet ============= on: March 13, 2016, 01:03:47 PM
Yes agreed.

I left my miner going overnight only to wake up with a hole lot of nothing.

What a uber waste of time, energy and money. This is worthless to me. You are correct. Zero incentive to even have any miners hashing this.
Total fail coin?

I checked about 3 hours after launch and it was already 11.5m coins distributed to the first few guys that happened to be online at the delayed launch time. It is not much more now. The coins future will have to be POS only because no-one will mine at the the current POW rates.
1631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ============= Pulse: The heartbeat of the internet ============= on: March 13, 2016, 12:43:25 PM
Current block reward     0.45200000

No thanks

By pulse. You are dead to me

Friends got the jump on this one

Hence my question to the dev earlier if the rewards are directly or indirectly (linear or inversely) related to the difficulty. The dev answered that the rewards go down as difficulty goes up meaning it is inversely related. At high difficulty the rewards are low and it is very expensive to maintain the hash rate at a high difficulty. Unless there is a strong market with high prices, there is no incentive for a miner to expend the energy for the mining. It might have been better to let the rewards become more as difficulty goes up so that there is an incentive to maintain a high difficulty. Pulse seem to reward behavior that reduce hash rate whereas fundamentally a crypto coin needs high hash rate to improve its security.

When exchanges?
i hope soon!
15000 satoshi is a good start for this I think

no it is not, 20k satoshi is the minimum for this, you can do 200 coin per day with 3 gpu that can earn you 0.04 with etheruem or more

Please stop speculating on a price for this coin.  It's currently not on any exchange.  If it makes it to one the market will set the price

yeah agreed, atleast this point the coin is 0 value because it has no market so price speculation is unneeded

Not entirely true. There can still be over the counter deals in the meantime. For example, I am open to buy @ 15k. PM me an offer if you want to sell at 15k. Although trading is not the top priority, there is nothing wrong with trading and in the absence of a formal market, it is available informally.

I was interested in this coin but as soon as the dev started talking about "bitcoin devs" (yeah right) being involved and all the time and effort and money to just do a clone, I started handling it with skepticism. It was not necessary for the dev to say those things because it placed a "far fetched" tag on the coin and caused people to doubt what he says.

you do realize there are over 300 bitcoin developers right? i mean, i'm a developer, and i'm interested. i think there's room for a coin like this. just look how many coins are built from old versions of bitcoin/ppc that are complete shit. this one is built from .12, which is the newest release.

Ok then. I give him the benefit of the doubt.

but I am out and good luck to all. Smiley

Which pools are onboard for the launch?

Ditto

Be nice to have our machines ready to go.

Chances are it is already being mined

Especially if it is a pool where registration still needs to happen.

is there a faucet for the current site ?

The taps are dry for this one. Move on to greener pastures.

I think neptunium needs a roadmap. Nobody knows what is next.

If all else fails, just follow the longest chain.
