LoL at all he talk about price. People think price is the first thing and then the rest follow. If there is one thing that gets under my skin in crypto is the hype about price and the tactics to get pice up through talk and other non-delivery type of activities.

The day people realise that price is a lagging indicator will be a jubilant day for crypto. For those that do not know what that means - it means that price is an indicator of actions by the dev and community. If a dev delivers and do stuff the price will reflect that and go up. At this point the wallet is still 1.0.3 and lots of talk about stuff. As soon as things change from talk-the-talk to walk-the-talk and some of the promises realize, the price will go up - until then it will remain low and go even lower. Remember that there are +1m coins out there and those that think everything is just talk will cash out and drive the price down. The longer until delivery, the lower the price. I am a strong believer in no hype and deliver first before you start to hype. Lots of hype has happened here with nothing to show for it (yet) and hence the loss in confidence. A coin needs confidence builders to keep people from selling. Talk and hype are unfortunately the lowest on the scale of successful confidence builder activities. Looking at things and how long stuff takes to happen here, I would say take a Jan-Mar 2016 view or cash out. Having said that the timeline of what view to take is up to the dev.

Is MasterTrader still involved in this project?

Yes he is.

Ok thanks.

- Why haven't I renamed/rebranded it to Fantom?
Ans: Because DarkSilk is still being developed and after full Transaction Coding is complete, shall I rebrand

What do you mean with this? Does it mean you are waiting for the DarkSilk devs to finish their code and then you will copy that finished code and rebrand it to Fantom? Or do you mean with this that you are developing and finishing the code separate from the DarkSilk devs on your own fork but still under the DarkSilk name and when you have finished the coding you will rebrand to Fantom?

I am still developing my code, for example. see the code yourself and you will see Tor Integeration and FantomText, two things which DarkSilk does not have, and I am still adding features.

Also, you will see MQW (Magi Quantum Wave) in main.cpp

Ok, so for the main code you will wait for the DarkSilk devs to finish their code, but there are some new features you are working on in the current release candidate code. Once DarkSilk finishes their code as final you will take that code as the base and put back in the code you are currently developing in the release candidate code.

Is this understanding correct?

I just filled coin request form on Poloniex, to add  FCX.
I suggest to everyone to do this  Smiley

https://poloniex.com/coinRequest

Done well before

How about coding the stuff you promise all the time instead of wasting time on exchange requests? Even if Fantom is listed right now on 10 exchanges, it is still the same coin with the same code you copied a couple weeks back. Price follows performance and the current price is a reflection of the performance / non-performance.

If you deliver the stuff you promise, I will be surprised if exchanges don't add the coin out of their own because of the demand that will be created. The logner you wait and there is no performance, the lower the price will go as lagging indicator.

Yobit has frozen my account for no reason and stolen coins from me. So, good riddance. Hold out for more legitimate exchanges.

I don't think Yobit froze accounts for no reasons, once one was found out that made another account and got both frozen but he forgot to tell that he had an older account until much later.

I have two accounts on there but I hardly ever use my old one. Maybe that was why. Either way, I am out 0.2 BTC which sucks.

Well is part your fault for having multiple accounts which is against yobit TOS, anyway let's end this offtopic here and see if the dev anyway has something to add to the whole thing

Also, if YoBit (not abusing not since that didn't turn out well) has a compilation issue, they could have informed me

Or you can learn how to be more diplomatic. Diplomacy can get you a long way in life and with diplomacy you can get people that you hate to do things that are in the best interest of everyone. Even if you hate someone it is not in your interest to make it public and say it to someone's face. Learn this lesson that sometimes it is best to keep your opinions to yourself and keep your cards close to you, otherwise your are going to get stuck and might get no-where and be out in the cold on your own.. If you want to be arrogant you must have the resources and skills to get what you want on your own. Unfortunately, with experimental code and not seemlingly to be able to fix the code properly (at least that is how it looks and I could be wrong), you need to apply diplomacy to get want your want as arrogance will get you no-where in this case.

One way of action would be to apologize to Blacksmith, although it might be too late for diplomacy.

40 confirmations and still nothing in C-Cex...

Youre the 8169? Always send 1 coin first to test and make sure before you send the rest.

good
why although ver is 1.0.3 it shows v1.0.0.0e4b5fe9 Fluffy in "about Fantom" ?

This is exactly my argument that the dev must first fix the small but important things before he starts to think about fancy stuff like multi-algo. Another important thing is why the warning about experimental test code that is displayed. Fix it so that the message is not necessary anymore. Then later he can start to do the fancy stuff. Yet he still keeps posting again about stuff like multi-algo. Those things can be considered, but only after the basics have been fixed and some listings secured.
1836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Team FLY : v1.6.2 wallet released! The most trusted coin in crypto! on: November 14, 2015, 07:33:08 PM
Yobit wont be happy to be called a "back alley ghetto" as per your email in the posted email history pic. I like them as a matter of fact because since they are normally first to list a coin there are many bargains to be picked up there.

Vegas, to call Yobit a "back alley ghetto" because the Fly protocol causes a problem also requires an apology. Remember that of all they exchanges Yobit was willing to list Fly. You should not bite the hand that feeds you or be ungrateful for a listing, nor should you be saying these things after Yobit helped you to get Fly off the ground.

how can i create a node on the windows 7 vps.

A (full) node is in essence just a synced wallet on the network with a full local block chain. Having it on a VPS just puts in onto a thicker pipe on the Net that is more reliable and can handle more traffic. if you have a Windows 7 VPS, then set it up just like your local Window 7 PC and let it sync the chain.

How about you fix and develop Fantom first before wasting your time on this crap?

well i have two vps one with 1024 ram and other with 512 and it is not possible to compile it  Embarrassed

You need 2GB memory to compile. Create an identical temp VPS with 2GB memory and compile. SSH the file off the 2GB VPS to your local PC or even directly to your other VPSes. Then kill the 2GB VPS and run the binary on your other VPSes. Your 1024GB VPS should run 5 nodes comfortably and your 512MB one about 3. If you have Ubuntu 14.10x64 then use the binary I posted and just add the dependencies.

I saw this thread now and looking at the virustotal scan results it looks red with the 8 hits. Having said that, the scans pick up potentially unwanted programs that seems to be triggered by the standard Bitcoinminer false positive. Atemis is normally something that McAfee cannot recognise.

There is a possibility that the file is infected but the result at the moment is not conclusive. It is prudent though not to run it and wait a few days for the virustotal engines and engineers to work through it. Normally if there is something bad in the file that is new, positive identification manifests after about 2-3 days. Check it again in a week before a final conclusion is made, but do not run it in the meantime to be safe.
