pools are ready and sources online. have fun and good luck finding them blocks! LoL at 10pm UTC. It is now not even 6pm UTC. sorry. it was planned for yesterday and we didn't want to let more time pass as ocminer was here and ready. It is not that I am fudding here or anything, it is just that 2 people found 387 blocks between them out of 460 at the time of posting. It would have been better to wait until 10pm to attempt a more fair distribution. With a 4 minute block time and diff > 800k already it is going to be difficult to fix the distribution.

Yet you changed the launch time to today 10pm UCT which is in 4 hours. If you want to ninja launch dont put a scheduled time becuase it will raise questions. Lots of people will have planned accordingly and will be pi$$ed.

scam? Do you even have a basic knowledge of the meaning "scam"? We are not asking for any form of investment and open-sourced this project. This fact alone excludes the possibility of being scamed and therefore elliminates the need for further discussion. I used this forum to announce my project (on the basis of open-source nature) . I am not asking anyone to join. I am not advertising this project in any form. I am not profiting in any form except an reasonable amount of the cryptocurrencies (I am developing) and the gift of broadening my technical horizont in the area of blockchains and cryptocoins.
I think what he meant was that 99% of coins where there is a pre-mine turns out to be a scam. Normally what happens is that the dev is all nicy-nicy until the coin lists on an exchange then the dev dumps the pre-mine and disappears. He further means that suckers that keep on mining new coins knowing that the chances are high for this to happen every time but they keep hoping that the next coin will actually have an honest dev but keep bumping their heads. Nevertheless, people will always be mining new coins just for in case, because you cannot win the lottery if you do not buy a ticket. PS: You might want to revise your launch time as it is already way past the upper boundary.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Team FLY : *NEW WALLET* v1.76 RELEASED 12/18/2015!!

This is the exact problem our exchange wallet had, if we sent a withdraw and change inputs would get stuck as unconfirmed and all other withdraws would fail stating "already spent"
The network takes the fee not the exchange, just subtract the estimated for display purposes, we just need a wallet that can resend change inputs without a full resync after each transaction, Hoping this version is the one, because I'm starting to feel like people are pointing at us as the blame
Alternatively, create reasons for people to want to hold the coin and use it, and drop the fancy fee structure that causes the problems. Differentiate it in other ways than making it impossible to trade/use or to make the trade/use prohibitively expensive. With the current model it is imperative to have the code right AND to get exchanges to play along. Exchanges will also have only so much patience before they say %$# this because in the bigger picture fly is atm only a small fraction of the bigger picture that is their business. If coin management insist with the artificial exchange control rules, the most feasible other option is to create your own exchange that only trades this coin and then you can as exchange owner sort out the fees and the superfly wallet with recons in the background. Or then sort out the code before the exchanges throw in the towel. Sometimes when one gets bogged down in the detail, it helps to take a step back, look at the bigger picture and change the approach. When you take that step back and evaluate the bigger picture it seems there is a conflict between two opposing objectives - on the one hand you dont want the coin to be traded by implementing high fees and on the other hand you want to be able to trade the coin without paying high fees. The problem is that it is very difficult, arguable impossible, to satisfy both objectives at the same time. The current alt-coin system is geared to either one of these extremes - this means to satisfy the one objective you will have to drop the fancy fee structure which will enable trading. To satisfy the other objective you drop the exchanges and in the rare case where someone then want to trade the coin they can match a manual trade pair on BCT through making a post. If you want to meet in the middle then you need to change the code to fit the exchange business model, or get the exchanges to change their business model to fit you or to create your own exchange with your own business model. The first and second options will be the easiest with least effort and the last options will require the most effort and will be a tradeoff between effort, time and investor/exchange patience.

Privacy is extremely important, but for practical uses, to really be usable in day to day transactions for normal people, instantaneous transactions is almost more important, certainly just as important, IMO. Now with Evolution, extremely "easy to use, hard to lose" makes it the perfect banking solution for everyone.
With the DAPI allowing for simple wallets that "magically" know your account, you don't have to keep any personal information on your device, other than remembering one passphrase to access everything. None of it will be on your device, it's all in a distributed encrypted database throughout the Masternode network.
Still private Always instant Can't lose your wallet.dat No need to manage security and backup.
One passphrase, on any device, and you have access to everything.
Close the application, it's gone, not on your device, safely tucked away into the MN network.
How much easier can that be? How much safer?
F'ing Awesome (coming from a 50+ year old hag, LOL)
How will you get around the principle of something you know, something you have and something you are? If there is nothing that can be tied back to something you have on your device then it means that there is only something you know which is the passphrase. This would open it up to phishing attacks and social engineering that can be executed remotely to attack the funds on the network. In addition, how will recoverability work in the event of a negative event eg. a user died and bequeathed his passphrase to someone else?

Dev has gone, this coin is doomed to die soon.shit!
His main thing was to merge the DarkSilk work into this wallet and now he cant, so I dont think anything is going to come of this anymore. Move on. Why do we need just one dev? The source code is all posted on git. LoL, not really. In essence the source code is that of DarkSilk and the dev's wallet updates are copy an pasting the DarkSilk updates. DarkSilk has now protected their source code which means effectively that the Fantom source code is not available. The Fantom source code is available as a previous version of DarkSilk. The Fantom dev will have to wait until DarkSilk is released and the source opened up again before he can merge any changes into Fantom.

@DuckYeah! lost his interest as any kid and Fantom will die soon.
It is difficult to say but it would be a pity if that is the case. Maybe the price did not jump enough on hype and promises before he was forced to actually code and implement anything? That is the danger of hype and promises. A dev should rather not post anything from the start and only make a post if there is something useful like a new release or something, even if it takes months. Otherwise if he stops posting suddenly the alt-coin cancer quickly takes over to kill it. He said that there would be a new release in early December. It is good then if he does not post anything. In this place a dev cannot post anything without being taken apart - damned if you do and damned if you don't. What is true though is less is more in alt-coins. It is all about expectation management.
