Thanks for all support nice to see the word legendary .

I have  a shit load of psu's.

I have some lower quality ones. I will see if I can cook up a wacky result.

Based on the s-3 design and the many I used tested upgraded the s-5 should be decent gear.
I have some preconceived pluses and minuses for the s-5 vs sp20E

It will be interesting to see If my imaginary ideas prove true.
Torture them, let's see resiliency  Grin
I suspect nasty surprises. The one month delay wasn't for nothing.

I understand that BMT offered you a free demo unit  Grin
It will become a tradition.

Suggestion for the review, use different PSUs, see if you can create "unclean" 12V.
Let's see how robust their string design is.

You're getting two SP20, shouldn't I get one S5 ?  Grin
btw, congratulations on being the third company to get to 0.5 J/GH  Cool
889  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [***Holiday SPecial***] SP20 - most efficient miner - ~0.5W/GH - 0.295$/GH on: December 23, 2014, 07:04:50 PM
for 500$ with shipping included ? SP20 all the way !
S5 has no room for OC, while you can use SP20 at 500w and 1000 GH/S and also use it at 1600 GH/S for 1200 W !

how stable are they underclocked that low though? the S5 would have about the same efficiency for about $90 less, shipping included. Current rate with shipping included for 2 units from BMT website 2.769 BTC ( 910.658 USD )

EDIT: assuming the S5 are stable to begin with haha
Extremely stable. Read the legendaries review.

Just a small sidenote, or question or something.

I see in Legendary's posts at the disassembled SP20 they have this hard glue or something at the heatsinks to fix them.

I've opened one of my boxes to check what is inside ( I know I know... Warranty warranty....) but I had no glue at the heatsinks they just moving at the corners, I can pull or push them up and down and they are very lossely fitted on the asics.

It's only one, I didn't opened all.

Is this normal or something or have to fix it?
Normal for first batch. No need to fix.
The glue is to prevent problems during shipping only.

Cut off for the GB is the 28th, but when would shipping begin?  Might be interested in picking up a few.
When we'll be close to the 200 mark, we'll contact the customers with a product page for the GB.
Shipping will be within 24 hours of payment.

I ordered a 3-pack on 12/21 (Order order #3872), can you tell me when this will ship? Also, I never received compensation for the delay on order #3242 back in November.

"Due to the huge demand, some of the miners will be shipped late.
We'll compensate for the diff from later of the (18th,  day of payment received) until the day of actually shipping.

I ordered the Holiday 3-pack on 12/18 as well and it still has not shipped either.

I would have hoped for a faster shipment on an "In Stock" item.

I emailed support and was told it would ship in a day or so. Tomorrow will be 2 days since I was told that???

Order # ?

Conclusion:
The Spondoolies SP20E Jackson is a very high quality bitcoin miner with great capabilities for custom performance optimization in terms of speed or efficiency. It's very easy to set up and runs flawlessly without an issue. The efficiency of the unit at lower speeds is amazing and implies longer life while keeping your bills low.

SP-Tech competitors seem to be having a party about it.
competition is always good for us consumers.
now SP20 competes against S4 & S5 and considering bitmain can cut S5's price in half what is SP going to offer us ?

Grin
yeah funny.
look at S3 price: 199 USD and S5 does not have second fan and expensive dc/dc circuits
The smile was about "What is SP going to offer us ?"
