Can't wait for this. It would be great to have Alex on board with bitcoin.

Current best bid is about 1500 BTC.

The community has smeared SC so bad that SC will die. RS will prolly keep a working network of his precious SC in his mum's basement but other than that it will be dead.

Such horrible PR from it's leader.
1846  Economy / Marketplace / Re: [PRICES LOWERED] ALL CASH Deposits are 3.99% | BitInstant.com on: March 08, 2012, 01:50:20 AM
BTW You're welcome. I'm suspect to being a sock puppet of yours getting people to lower fees.

=)

LOL, I know. You just got everyone's fees to be lowered hahaha

One question:

How long have you been in business (given I've only heard about your services today, forgive me)?

We have been in business since June 2011.

I think more then half this forum has used our services and can vouch for us  Grin

What is the upper limit on cash transfers you can cover?

1848  Economy / Marketplace / Re: [ANN] 3.75% FEE USA CASH Deposits to MTGOX, BITCOINICA and more! on: March 08, 2012, 01:09:22 AM
please dont take this the wrong way, I think your service is a great thing and wish it all success.  only noticing that more care in wording would probably be good for your business and the customer impression..

"Your funds will be instantly available within one hour of your deposit."

Instantly and within one hour aren't the same thing.   Within one hour is great, but it isn't instant.  Why confuse the issue?

"we don't charge any fees for wire transfers in USD to fund your MtGox account. Only a $10 receiving fee."

This has been discussed.. no customer cares whether you are pocketing a fee or someone else is pocketing a fee.. they only want to know what they will be charged in the end.  It might seem a big difference to you, but its only going to be confusing for clients unless every time the word "free" or "no fees" is used it means the customer will not pay any fees to anyone at all.  gotta be careful with that, it can only backfire if not 100% clear.

Customer must end up paying in total, when all is said and done exactly what they expected to pay and the service description needs to be very accurate with things like timing, delays etc... whether a thing in your control or outside of your control, only you end up with the grief  (of course sometimes things will go wrong, but I mean the service description should exactly match the service actually intended).

well, just my opinions.

I hope your service grows and does well, good luck.

Charlie,

I consider you a friend too, and that is why I was surprised by that post. I am not accusing you, I simply do not understand the logic of CosbyCoin here. Seems that when we have news releases there is always somebody ready and able to comment on fee issues, when our fees, in reality are not much higher or lower than competing exchangers.

In any case, your personal word is sufficient for me. My apologies. I look forward to keep working with you guys.

Roberto

Our rates were 4.49% NOT 4.99%

Roberto, please do not stoop down an accuse me of having a "sockpuppet"

You and I have been doing business for a few months and even considered us friends.

I am welcoming competition, but do not play a cat and mouse accusation game it just shows how unethical you are.

I think EVERY member of this community can attest to BitInstant being fair and honorable

Charlie

Just because there are illogical people on the internet doesn't mean they are your awesome professional competition. (I'm not Charlie or Yankee in case you were wondering.)

I didn't even try that hard to get Roberto to lower his fees. He did it voluntarily. Perhaps he was scared?

Roberto, my logic is simply this.....YOUR FEES = TOO HIGH. Got it?

Pretty simple eh?

Edit: Even bitinstant's fees are too high in my opinion. never used them yet but I would not waste 4% of my money just so I can get an instant transfer. I rather wait.

1853  Economy / Marketplace / Re: [ANN] USA CASH Deposits to MTGOX, BITCOINICA and more! CHEAP RATES! on: March 07, 2012, 11:16:35 PM
please tell  us what are the non-introductory rates. This way we can gauge what a "cheap" rate is...thanks

Rates are now 3.75% and will remain the same (or go lower) for the foreseeable future.

Please remove "introductory" rates if they will stay the same or go lower...it is misleading. Smiley

Done. I really find it interesting that your post about our rates being too high came literally minutes after this one:

Your "WOW your rates are too high" post:

Hopefully a coincidence, otherwise I must say the sock puppet would be a pretty low way to attack a competitor. It is also interesting that Bitinstant had their fees set at 4.99% for months, and you never had an issue with that?

Apparently them lowering them as soon as a solid competitor appears with a lower fee from the get go does not produce any indignation from you either?

Roberto

Wink

I assure you I was just as surprised with the other post about lowering fees.

I'm just finding it interesting that my posts are making you both lower your fees.

Dont get me wrong it is a good thing and your customers can thank me for that.

Edit: I've never used bitinstant. Not a good thing to assume bro.

wow 4.5% fees?   Shocked Shocked Shocked

"cheap rates"HuhHuh

Bitinstant fee is 4.99% for the exact same service. Most of the fee is the fee from our processor. If you find cash deposits for a cheaper fee, please do let me know.

Roberto

okay so if i deposit $1000 i pay you $45 instead of $50 of your competitor? Hardly a bargain.

1859  Economy / Services / Re: Pizza Service. on: March 07, 2012, 02:49:07 AM
Hello I am doing a pizza service.
You may ask what's a pizza service?

Tongue A pizza service is where I get pizza to your house by paying with BTC.

I can get other stuff then pizza for delivery or carryout just tell me.

Prices won't be much so ask me.  NOTE : I AM WILLING TO GO FIRST FOR TRUSTED!

 PM me!

  Cool

Great idea!  I'll just hand over my address to a stranger on the internet.  What could possibly go wrong?

You might get "sausage" instead of pepperoni.

I almost shat myself when I read this because I was laughing so hard....haha!
1860  Economy / Economics / Re: Debt and banks in BitCoin world? on: March 07, 2012, 02:44:36 AM
I don't think Bitcoin could kill off banks totally.  Holding all your funds on your hard-drive is not safe due to malware, viruses, hackers, hard-drive errors and your hard-drive dying.  So there will always be a call for a central place's to store wealth.  Once these centres/banks have all these deposits they can lend it, invest it and so on.  So Bitcoin does not mean the end of banks or central reserves.

HOlding your bitcoin wallet doesn't have to be in an electronic format either.
