1941  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think of mt. gox bid orders? on: September 16, 2011, 04:17:03 PM
Wow that totalled 61797 coins in bid orders.

Rally?
1942  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: September 16, 2011, 04:10:03 PM
You forgot http://www.trucoin.com/ as having control.

Please don't spread misinformation.

I agreed to join TruCoin a couple of months ago, because I knew Eric (chaord) and Chris (cbrunner) through these forums and I think their vision and experience give TruCoin a really good chance of being an important company in the bitcoin economy.

And they hired me because TruCoin won't go anywhere if core bitcoin falls apart. I will (and have) mostly be working on core bitcoin issues, jumping in and writing code that I think is critically needed that nobody else is stepping up to write and working to make bitcoin as stable and secure as possible.

If Eric and Chris tell me to do something that is bad for bitcoin, I'll let them know what I think. If they suddenly lose their minds and stop listening, then I'll quit.

If I lose my mind and start doing things that are bad for bitcoin as a whole (or if I start trying to do things to bitcoin-core that benefit TruCoin over everybody else), then you-all should fire me.

Exactly how do we do that if the scenario you described unfolds?
1943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mooncoin - Solidcoin/Namecoin to BTC Exchange on: September 16, 2011, 04:06:16 PM
No one is asking any of you to invest in a currency with a CPF, so if it bothers you then just stay away from it. From my calculations however a currency with CPF (like USD and every other real currency) has a higher chance of succeeding than one that does not. It's up to you people if you think it's bad to stay away from it, only the future will determine if that is a good decision on your part or not.

The psychic predictions which have no relation to human history however seem rather stupid.

Calculations? Where?

You talk in such vague absurdities. How should anyone take you seriously?
1944  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mooncoin - Solidcoin/Namecoin to BTC Exchange on: September 16, 2011, 12:45:11 PM
For all those with SC involved, please go to this thread and give the deposit addresses and your balance when it went down. If it is indeed a "Scam" or moon never returns I can help fix some of the fraud that went on in SolidCoin 2.0 and hopefully return some or all of it to those users. We have some of his main deposit addresses and can "block" them from going back to him, instead giving them to the users of the service.

http://solidcointalk.org/topic/217-mooncoin-deposit-address-thread/

Wow so those who had BTC in moonco.in are not going to get bailed out too? What about those holding namecoins?

I figured you could return all *coins since you're the almighty "coinhunter".

1945  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] What do you do with your bitcoins? on: September 16, 2011, 09:59:22 AM
POLLS are fun!

What do you do with your bitcoins?

Fixed for you. And english class is more fun!
1946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Attack on Namecoin Called Off. Ok, but what if instead... on: September 15, 2011, 11:55:41 PM
Without this open threat what would've been the ETA for the fix? And what would be the expected fall out if someone performed the attack without announcing it beforehand?

Nothing would have been done to fix it and and refer to Solidcoin to answer your second part.
I understand your point of view (or at least i think i do); and i'm not saying you're lying nor wrong nor anything like that; but i would like to hear from others.

Without knowing the technical details nor the personalities of the key figures involved, i have the intuition what you did resulted in more good than harm, and things are better now than if you hadn't acted like you did, and also that your intent was to make things better for everyone (you included of course); but i would like to see what others have to say about this, i wanna see if others also recognize you and your actions as i do, and what arguments the other parties have for and/or against your actions, i wanna see how their conclusions compare to mine and yours.

Nice sig. If bitcoins go to $100 before x-mas I suspect there will be a lot of cashing out for x-mas expenses, parties, and gifts. it won't stay there very long.
1947  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Attack on Namecoin Called Off. Ok, but what if instead... on: September 15, 2011, 11:41:09 PM
And what would be the expected fall out if someone performed the attack without announcing it beforehand?

Namecoin would be as close to being dead as a cryptocoin can be (that doesn't mean "really dead" though)

Why? The original blockchain could just be restored after the attack is over.

Determining when the attack was over would be the tricky part.
1948  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANNOUNCE] New alternate cryptocurrency - Geist Geld on: September 15, 2011, 11:22:11 PM
Looks like at current block rate and diff there is betwen 40 and 60 GH/s on GG network.

At somepoint more GH/s I would think would not create faster blocks because of collisions in hash solving times that produce stales.

Any input?
1949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A small overview on: September 15, 2011, 11:15:54 PM
Worth more? For the time NMC has been around it worth pretty much nothing. Value/Time around, not just "nominal value".

That's probably the most retarded way of measuring value I've ever heard of.

Is it? NMC is now over 6 month old and never managed to get anywhere above 0.03. SLC has 2 weeks and already passed it then retracted and eventually will pass it for good soon.
The "value" has a time frame.

www.nmcwatch.com

Check out the link genius. Namecoins hit 0.14 btc back in June.

So much for your due diligence and finding out information yourself and not making BS up.
1950  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mooncoin taken over by the feds? on: September 15, 2011, 11:04:56 PM
Doesn't this belong in "Alternate Cryptocurrencies"

BITCOINEXPRESS DOESN'T MAKE THE RULES..

.. HE JUST ENFORCES THEM!

And you cry about them when they are enforced...
1951  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A small overview on: September 15, 2011, 10:37:23 PM
Wrong thread pulled up...

I would go by explaining the time vs value logic at such time, but why bother.
Anyway, this was from the time I was still believing in solidcoin (yes... there was a time...)

Based on your original post sure sounds like you do believe in it.

Wow, that is retarded. The USD has been around for a couple hundred years. Gold has been around for thousands (millions?) of years. Those 2 must be worth nothing then by your calculation of Value/Time around. I guess SolidCoin has the most worth.

+1 Obviously OP doesnt have a clue what he is talking about.
1953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How are the new solidcoin accounts mached to old accounts? on: September 15, 2011, 09:33:05 PM
So what'll happen to the people who's coins are tied up at exchanges?    By this method I assume the coins will be sent to the exchange wallet and then they'll have to work out what belongs where.  Not sure that's going to work.

Looks like mooncoin is dead anyway so I guess those coins are lost.

Not only lost, but if moonco faked his ICE seizure like is being rumoured, he'll profit -doubly- from CH's mismanagement.

The more the Solidcoin saga goes on the more messed up it gets. I'm not sure how coinhunter can think that after all of these issues that this currency will be a viable one for any extended period of time.

I concur SC is dead.

Unless someone wants to start a new blockchain?
1954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Moonco.in taken over by immigration and customs? on: September 15, 2011, 08:00:47 PM
Wow. Anyone holding solidcoins, namecoins, or bitcoins likely will lose them if this is all true.
1955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANNOUNCE] New alternate cryptocurrency - Geist Geld on: September 15, 2011, 06:42:39 PM
I was doing some thinking and GG is only going to gain value if there is a slew of people trying to mine it at the same time, otherwise there is no demand or competition for it.

Since the supply rate is basically a steady rate we can therefore assume that the more people wanting to mine GG the less each person will get in say a pool mining operation for GG.

1956  Other / Meta / Re: Should the Community ban people Like DOUCHEBAGEXPRESS, when they fuck everyone? on: September 15, 2011, 05:37:09 PM
joulesbeef, I want a serious, yes or no answer here.

Would you rather have these attacks happen now, when a BTC is worth ~$5 scammy forks are worth 0.00x BTC, or would you rather have the attacks happen when BTC has achieved mainstream use and 1 BTC = ~$10,000 scammy forks may worth 0.x BTC?
Fix'd
He isn't talking about attacks on BITCOIN, but on forks.

Ya but the attacks on all alt chains give insight for bitcoin's protection. Duh!
1957  Other / Meta / Re: Should the Community ban people Like DOUCHEBAGEXPRESS, when they fuck everyone? on: September 15, 2011, 03:22:14 PM
This place is sure going to shit with people like douchebagexpress fucking all the exchanges, fucking all the coins, WHAT THE FUCK DID NAMECOIN EVER DO TO ANYONE?
yeah now he calls it a test, after saying he is developing a "LETHAL ALT CHAIN KILLER"

Why does the community let someone stay who got dozens of pools closed down.
WHo got all the exchanges closed down.
WHo got 4 alternative currencies closed down.
and IS a basic loser in general.

DOUCHEBAGEXPRESS will claim I am only pissed cause I cant trade my pathetic 300 solidcoins.. that I WAS SITTING ON. Yeah that is what I am pissed off about. Not him fucking over doubleC, not him fucking the entire community.  Not him fucking dozens of poll owners. Not him fucking with all the chains. WHat he is doing to namecoin is plain wrong and it isnt a test of shit. Namecoin is updating their software soon. Solidcoin his real target is updating now. SO WHY IS HE GOING TO FUCK NAMECOIN? EGO.

THis place has enough trolls and scammers, it doesnt need a mega douche like douchebag express. AND WHEN THE FORUMS ALLOW HIM TO ACT WITH IMPUNITY, IT GIVES A BAD DOUCHEY TASTE IN THE MOUTH OF ANY BUSINESS OWNER, INTERESTED IN BITCOIN.

Look at it this way. THERE IS A TESTNET FOR A FUCKING REASON. AS a business owner, THIS GIVES ME PIECE OF MIND, but then I come here and see that a Guy is attacking the live chains, of other coins, and the forum not doing shit. WHY THE FUCK WOULD I TAKE BTC WHEN IT MIGHT GET LIVE ATTACKS LAUNCHED FROM THESE FORUMS, AND NO ONE DO SHIT? I WOULDNT.

Read: I cry so hard.
1958  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: September 15, 2011, 03:21:13 PM
I could careless if I lose all my soldicoins. DOUCHEBAGEXPRESSS, WHat I do care about is some DOUCHEBAG who is on the forums caused ALL OF THE EXCHANGES TO CLOSE FOR ALLL OF THE COINS because he is an egotistical jerk, who doesnt know the proper way to expose exploits.

I have 300 total solidcoins, left on the exchanges. 300! and You can still trade them at places like solidcoin24. How about doing a little research before acting like a total douchebag.

It isnt me I am concerned about it is what you are doing to the community. It is what you are doing to doubleC, it is what you are doing to geist geld, it is what you are doing to ruxum, it is what you are doing to namecoin, it is what you are doing to I0coin, it is what you are doing to ixcoin and yes it is what you are doing to solidcoin. You are fucking with entire communities, and doing pen testing on a live enviroment when no one asked you to. That is malicious hacking. You can call it a test now people are pissed with your douchebagness. But you cant say I am pissed that I cant trade my pittiful amount of coins. PS i have about the same many of i0coins I cant trade either.,

You have disrupted the entire place for your ego, and your upset that I called you out on it? If I was the founder of any of these chains, I would look into filing charges against you. Sure bitcoins dont have value, but malicious hacking is still a crime.

Hey say what you want about realsolid, the only coin that was hurt by his license was his own, YOU FUCKED THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY UP THE ASS. You are costing businesses like ruxum and bitparking BUSINESS. People should fuck you back.

You forgot moonco.in.
1959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCX vs CH on: September 15, 2011, 03:15:49 PM
If you dont think this also reflects the bitcoin community, you would be sadly mistaken. It might be fun and games for you, but it is actually money and business for others and basically people like you are saying you dont care if the community gets butt fucked by a douchebag, because you dont like the guy he is buttfucking. WHen the next time you look, you might just find, you are the one getting butt fucked.

DOuchebag express is going to set bitcoin back months, especially if the community allows him to stay. Real businesses are watching and it is a fucking cesspool of shit in here.

You missed the entire convo. He is going to attack a testnet of SC 2.0.

Chill and untie your panties please.
1960  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 10% Rebate in Bitcoins on every order! on: September 15, 2011, 09:46:52 AM
I will let you guys know in about a week how many new orders this resulted in,  but I need your help to spread the word!
Please repost this deal anywhere you think people might need networking gear.
Ideally it will get people using Bitcoins who never used them before.

You should sell GPUs too. You'll get more business.
