To The Namecoin Community,
I have accomplished what I needed to do and attacking Namecoin at this point would only be for the malicious destruction of a viable alt-currency. Destruction is not what I was after. Namecoin's leadership was the real target here, not the miners, not the exchanges or the many registered domains.
The leadership of Namecoin has allowed it to stagnate into the weak state it was in. They own this and should take responsibility.
In the past 72 hours I have seen a coming together of people that produced more in this time than in the past four months combined. There has been a bigger collaboration between Bitcoin and Namecoin than anytime in recent memory. The chain is more secure now, with a better future than it was before this started.
I am sorry it took these drastic measures to get people's attention, but it wasn't until I had demonstrated lethality did anyone take me serious, again, The Namecoin Attack starting on block 19101 has been called off.
Namecoin should make Davinci an Honorary Ambassador and spokesman. My decision to withdraw is due in no small part to Davinci.

Setup the testnet of code you have no idea about and what are you going to do ? Use some Geforce2MX bitcoin attacks on it? Haha. The old network wasn't secure from mining attacks which is why I pulled it down to protect everyones investments, the new one is or it wouldn't be coming back. If I had no clue what I was doing the same thing that happened to I0/IX/NMC would have happened to SC. Thanks for advertising SC again, should have you on the CPF eh? BTW it's not one million BLOCKS, it's one million coins will be generated in the genesis block. So you may want to get your handlers to proof read your statements before you release them.  Also we aren't sure of the redistribution method yet, it may be that all addresses with a positive balance get sent their balance, hence all funds from the genesis block would be exhausted quickly. Restarting with a new genesis block cleans the chain of the mess created by hackers and spammers and also allows the client to be easier to maintain due to not needing to support the old hackable protocol. And when the SC network restarts it won't be vulnerable to 51% exploits and you'll be unable to do anything..... Probably has to hurt your ego that SC will be the only viable chain soon.... Keep up with the attacks, you're doing a good job destroying bitcoin. Newsflash for you Coinhunter, 51% isn't necessary. Am I doing this right? I copied the bitcoin.conf to \appdata\roaming\geistgeld\ and \appdata\roaming\ (wasn't sure where to copy it so I just put a copy in both directories), ran geistd.exe and then started Phoenix like this: phoenix.exe -u http://username:password@localhost:8777 But it never connects. Am I using the wrong port? I put portsend=7769 into the .conf file too. I put the conf file into my bitcoin folder in roaming and it worked just fine. |

I should have linked at least one comment that really highlights his bipolar attitude. from here 1) What effect would this have on exchanges especially Bitparking, DoubleC has been really cool and don't want to cause undue trouble for him. except forcing him to close his exchanges down and have to deal with emails of angry people wanting their coins back. then hereI'm not looking to do damage, just test.
Double spend to the wallets would be cool. I also guess you could double spend at the exchanges too, not so cool. trust me I wont do anything malicious, even though I could have used the testnet.. You could get a raging clue from the name.. TESTNET. and then this one.. bolding mine Goals
1) Developing protection for Bitcoin against exploits
2) Developing a lethal alt chain killer.
3) Making developers aware that when the "bad guys" make you aware of an exploit, FIX IT!

JB has a point BCX. You need to consider that what comments you've made these past few days has been taken very seriously. Given the extreme circumstances of these alt chains being completely obliterated is cause enough for people to have their doubts.
