Lovely how threads like these go waaay off topic.
1882  Economy / Speculation / Re: I would say in the shorterm... on: September 18, 2011, 11:19:12 PM
I refused to buy any more coins and it saw this so decided to go up.  As long as I refuse to buy them, it will keep going up.

Spoken like a true speculator.
1883  Economy / Speculation / Re: I would say in the shorterm... on: September 18, 2011, 11:17:06 PM
Nah i'll see how this little rally plays out first before making any further decisions. The impatient lose the patient win.
1884  Economy / Speculation / Re: I would say in the shorterm... on: September 18, 2011, 11:04:07 PM
Cosbycoin, on what did you based your prediction? So far you are right but if it doesn't get down and this is the start of a little rally?

Support and resistance levels in price. I don't have a clue if it will go below $4 but in a bubble scenario popping it usually will overshoot the mean to the downside. If you calculate the mean over the last 365 days it is about $4.50.

So if it follows the classical bubble scenario popping it will shoot down past the mean and hit sat $1.50 to $2.75.
1885  Economy / Speculation / Re: I would say in the shorterm... on: September 18, 2011, 11:01:26 PM
I have, well we will find out shortly..

LOL it already hit the value I guessed. It hit 5.60 which is between 5.50 and 5.75.
1886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Insane amount of bitcoins on: September 18, 2011, 10:40:57 PM
Me and a few colleagues are about to buy 80,000 BTC from MT Gox and another 25,000 from Tradehill. Not to savvy on how exactly that purchase might affect the price but I figured if it is in fact affecting the price, then the least I can do is warn the community so they can place their proper orders. Happy Trading!

Maria.

Would this explain why the price went down from like $10 to now $5? lol
1887  Economy / Speculation / Re: I would say in the shorterm... on: September 18, 2011, 10:38:42 PM
I guess I was right in OP.
You say that over what happened in the last hour?

Yes. Read my prediction I made from 3 days ago. Or was it 4 days?
1888  Economy / Speculation / Re: I would say in the shorterm... on: September 18, 2011, 09:46:57 PM
I guess I was right in OP.
1889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mooncoin - Solidcoin/Namecoin to BTC Exchange on: September 18, 2011, 07:00:53 PM
It's amazing how stupid many of you are to have left your coins on his site given the uncertainty of how truly trustworthy he was.

Remember the guy's site was down for like a few days purely because there was a power outage at his home and he was away.

Brilliant!

LESSON: Don't leave your coins on an untrustworthy site for long periods of time.
1890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ARE YOU MINING GG? on: September 18, 2011, 06:50:12 PM

1892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: An important message from the Solidcoin developers on: September 18, 2011, 06:40:26 PM
If you own Solidcoins, we suggest that you exchange them for BTC for the time being, because old solidcoins are soon going to be worthless. Once Solidcoin 2.0 will be traded on exchanges, you will be able to convert your BTC back to the new solidcoins.

Depending on the market exchange rates, you might not have exactly the same amount of Solidcoins before and after the transfer. However, statistical fluctuations should cancel out. We found that the first users who will exchange their old solidcoins for new ones might enjoy a more favourable exchange rate. This will create a nice incentive to bootstrap the conversion process.

Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin ROFLOL! I can't stop laughing reading this!

This bozo words:
If you own Solidcoins, we suggest that you exchange them for BTC for the time being, because old solidcoins are soon going to be worthless.

Translation:

If you've Scamcoin, we suggest that you go find someone else and scam him to trade his bitcoins for your scamcoins, because your scamcoins are soon going to be worthless.

Once Solidcoin 2.0 will be traded on exchanges, you will be able to convert your BTC back to the new solidcoins.

Translation:

If you're dumb enough to bite our scam twice, you're welcome. We need eediots like you.

We found that the first users who will exchange their old solidcoins for new ones might enjoy a more favourable exchange rate.

Translation:

Be quick! As the rates will go downhill as soon as the scammers start to try dump their scamcoins for bitcoins.

You do know the OP was joking right?
1893  Other / Meta / Re: Other non-English Language Subforums on: September 18, 2011, 10:27:20 AM
there is already a big chinese forum in chinese from china... why would they come here too?

(don't know about a japanese one though)

I wasn't aware of that. But still it seems wasteful to have the main forum have subforums for alternate languages yet they are so underused.
1894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: An important message from the Solidcoin developers on: September 18, 2011, 10:25:31 AM
Actually, I intend to use the coins that I have "properly" mined over the period of time

I strongly doubt there will be so many solidcoiners coming forward that I will have to consider using Superfund to introduce them to Geist ^__^

You never know...just saying...
1895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: An important message from the Solidcoin developers on: September 18, 2011, 10:19:56 AM
You mean me or the whole "announcement" ?

My offer is absolutely serious.

I would move to say that using your premined GG that was initially for bounties should not be used in such said transactions.

1896  Other / Meta / Other non-English Language Subforums on: September 18, 2011, 10:17:51 AM
I just took a look at the non-english subforums and it is pathetic to say the least.

If we all want bitcoin to be a success then we need to be able to accomodate information spreading in other largely used languages like Manadarin or Japanese etc.

Focus should be put into getting current posts that are in english to be automatically translated and put into the subforums for the other language forums we have here.

Seems like a waste given that the amount of posts in other languages is like 1/100 th the amount of english posts we get on this site.

Just sayin...
1897  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let the rally begin! on: September 18, 2011, 06:54:54 AM
Wow this thread was absolutely off target on price presumption.

Never hit $25 just went lower.

1899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Moonco.in taken over by immigration and customs? on: September 17, 2011, 09:03:38 PM
he claims it was hackers who got all of his passwords and erased all of his shit.

There really at this point isnt a way to prove it either way.  he could have been a scammer or it could have been hackers. But I will say he was under constant attack lately by childish people who were pissed that he was running a solidcoin exchange. He had exactly shit to do with solidcoin and yet some childish people decided to attack an innocent person in their zeal to get back at coinhunter.

This board has become a dump in the past few months.

There is bitcoinforums.net if you want a place that is a bit more mature and has a bit less trolls.

Okay how about you stop spreading crap and wait for the facts to surface huh?

Or is my way of giving facts by waiting for things to transpire and listing them not "factual" enough for you?

1900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [RECAP] Solidcoin's to-date History on: September 17, 2011, 08:54:21 PM
This place seems to be nothing but trolls these days. Most of this crap is fud.

Yes 1.03 the fix for arts transaction exploit broke some transactions, then he released within 24hrs 1.04 which fixed the medium sized transaction bug, and included the please ask me before changing my code license, that pissed off the community. And set the trolls off on over drive.

you also missed the part where everyone said SC was dead and then the price recovered.

Okay. Today where is the price? Right there is no price.

Quote
and missed the fact that a  hacker, in his zeal to attack solidcoin, attacked the entire community getting the largest exchange FOR ALL COINS to get shut down.

I presume you are referring to BitcoinEXpress? He merely was responding to CH's touting of an attitude if you look at the threads. And of course CH made an announcement to shutdown SC.

Quote
and the fact that these trolls and hackers  are allowed to run free here is probably a huge reason why the bitcoin price is below $5 and staying there. People come here  and it looks like a kindergarden.

I'm sorry you feel that way. But I somehow doubt this subforum is having a huge impact on the overall status of bitcoin.

"oh no guys I'm an early adopter and because they are attacking and debunking solidcoin I need to unload my 200,000 bitcoins now!"

Quote

If you have real complaints, for sure post them, but 90% of the crap here is just troll crap, and it is destroying the community and bitcoin itself.

Please mark the 90% of what I put on the initial post as crap. I would sure like to get my facts straight.

Quote
Solidcoin is a mess and a failure not due to its own doing but the doing of its founder and his followers like yourself.

Quote
actually it was doing just fine, until bitcoin express threated to destroy all alt coins.

Yeah I guess if you consider the largest exchange and largest pool closing down purely based on CH's arrogance as "doing fine".

Quote
and how the hell can you blame moonco.in on solidcoin? and you say you are spreading facts and not fud? LOL

Please show me where I said moonco.in shutting down as a result of solidcoin. You need to get your facts straight here.
