1741  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin GPU mining revelations and ArtForz running away on: March 20, 2012, 02:11:55 AM
#1 tactic: When in doubt, blame it all on SolidCoin.

It's ok, we're thick skinned.

#1 tactic of solidcoin lie and lie some more when caught lying blame it on someone else or claim it was the plan all along.

So far, the claims are as follows:

1.) The SC guys had the LTC GPU miner.
2.) The SC guys "found" the evidence of an LTC GPU miner.
3.) Somehow, its all Artforz fault.

One and two are fairly well established. Claim 3 was put forth by the SC folks after their LTC miner came to light.

Hmm are these just like novelty items?

Yes, just like cosbycoins...

Um okay...i was seriously asking without the sarcasm or condescending attitude.
1744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Increase litecoin value on: March 19, 2012, 10:43:30 PM
If bitcoin succeeds in becoming "The original crypto-currency", then it will become more of a holding medium than a spendable currency, much like gold. LTC, being that block/transaction confirmations are 4x faster, and there are 4x more coins to go around, I think it will become what people eventually end up using for day to day transactions.

I think the biggest advantage at the moment to litecoin is the faster block halving time, we only have a couple months to before before the reward decrease.  It's a big incentive to invest in the short term.

I thought the first LTC block halving was at block # 840,000?

1745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Increase litecoin value on: March 19, 2012, 10:40:27 PM
how about offering even 1 whit of difference from bitcoin

Scrypt.....nuff said.
1746  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin GPU mining revelations and ArtForz running away on: March 19, 2012, 10:37:47 PM
I'd like to see proof that ArtForz did in fact GPU mine LTC.

LTC seems to be doing just fine.

Not sure why this thread needs to be taken seriously without any proof that ArtForz in fact did scam people in LTC.

Please show me proof that he did what is being spouted in OP.

As I said a few posts earlier:
...
I don't know which is true, and there's really no simple way to prove any of the 3 options outlined above. Whether it was purely a lack of caring enough, or a desire to make a quick buck, I don't think we will ever know.

Then if you have NO proof. Please STFU and stop posting BS on this forum. Thank you!  Grin

You really believe that somebody as knowledgeable like ArtForz would miss something as easy like "I could not figure out why it was not producing valid shares and I left it" Huh

ArtForz clearly lied to us all and we have been duped. That is what really happened IMHO. He did the same thing with BTC, GPU mining about 60K on a 4870 ( told me this in btc-e chat ) in the early days while the rest of the idiots were CPU mining BTC. He was a liar and thus he did not log in since 15 February.

Here highlighted in RED is where your logic is flawed. It can't "really" have happened it is in "IMHO".  Roll Eyes
1747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many premined coins would YOU like to see in SC 3.0? on: March 17, 2012, 02:36:12 AM
Sup bitches.

By now I've grown weary of dealing with the peasant nodes. Filthy miners only complicate things, take a look at Deepbit for example. So with SC 3.0 I want to pioneer a 100% decentralized currency (unlike the fiat Bitcoin), so I've decided that I will eliminate peasant nodes completely with a new system which will revolutionize the cryptocurrency world.

The design and architecture I've put into 3.0 will only have two groups of 10 (an ode to binary, which I helped co-write) gate-nodes which will take turn solving even/odd blocks. Each wallet will contain the premine which I am looking for my communities input on, so you have a voice in SC 3.0 (unlike King Gavin and Queen Deepbit).

Luckily I've found a way to reimburse SC 2.0 coin holders for approximately 1/2 of their *Loyalty Rating (the formula is confidential and is proprietary property), so all you have to do is submit an application and the Account Reconciliation team and we'll be sure to process your Loyalty Rating in 4-6 weeks of submission.

I also realized that the bloated blockchain (smart move, bitcoin) is only weighing down my innovation.  That being said, there will only be 3 addresses available (outside the 20 premined wallets, which YOU get to choose the premine!), of which I will possess.  If you'd like to spend your SC 3.0 *coins, submit an application to the Account Reconciliation team who will then deduct the invert of your Loyalty Rating from your account, purchase the product and send it to your door! First-Class™ service, courtesy of SC 3.0!

So how much should each wallet contain?  13 million?  39 million?  Be sure to rock the vote on SC 3.0 and good luck to everyone with their Loyalty Rating applications!

LOL this never gets old....

1749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PSA : Final Litecoin LTC GPU miner released !!! on: March 16, 2012, 07:07:40 PM
Is it just me or does this not seem profitable for 5870 series cards due to slow memory I/O Huh

300 khash/s vs 440 mhash/s Roll Eyes

Hashrate is irrelevant since you are mining with two different algorithms on Bitcoin and Litecoin.

Coblee. If you're working on something can you at least let us know? I'm starting to think that litecoin has been abandoned.

I've been working on putting p2pool in the client, but I'm no longer sure if there's enough demand for that. Let me open this up. What do people think needs to be improved with Litecoin?

Well what possibilities have you looked into as far as merchants looking into accepting LTC for payment or maybe LTC merchant solutions?
He's taken on the herculean task of coding everything. Isn't that enough for one person? Instead of pushing and prodding at coblee to get things done, how about taking some of the work off his shoulders?

Bro chill I'm just asking a simple question. It is hardly pushing and prodding. How bout you start doing more and stop worrying about what I'm posting and taking it out of context eh?

Alt coins corner should come with free popcorn machine, so much drama here.

Take it easy BCX, one day you might come to conclusion that at least one of your parents is Coinhunter himself.

1756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [LTC] An (even more) optimized version of cpuminer on: March 15, 2012, 11:10:07 PM
What arguments do you give to minerd to make it solo mine?

Argument #1: You're such a stupid miner that you can't pool mine!

Argument #2: Your momma miner is so fat that she could't fit in the pool to mine!

There ya go!   Grin
1757  Economy / Speculation / Re: RALLY! on: March 15, 2012, 10:49:57 PM
You still short, Oldminer? Smiley

Just ask Oldminer how well his ixcoin investment is doing. =)

Sold 'em off ages ago..btw, hows the old cosbycoin going these days? (I'm looking at investing)  Grin

Cosbycoins are doing great haven't made or lost money. =) Cant say the same for IXC investments. Grin

Sounds like Cosbycoin would be perfect for merchants, having that kind of rigid stability

Haha...send your BTC my way baby! lol I'll give you cosbycoins.

1759  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advertise Bitcoin on every single banknote ( and make a new game ? ) on: March 15, 2012, 10:36:33 PM
I've actually been thinking about getting one thousand $1 bills and getting a stamp that says "bitcoin.org" and stamping each one and then exchanging them for larger denominations then rinse and repeat...

Eventually people will start to take notice.

Just a thought.
