2261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I've been scammed 5.5BTC. What will you do when your Bitcoin get scammed? on: August 03, 2015, 07:41:41 PM
I sometimes invest on "suspicious" investments or high yield programs / scammy-bound sites. But I have not lost much yet.

I think the key is not investing too much. As these sites almost always offer a very high interest or short ROI, investing say 0.01 or 0.1 won't be a lot of hurt if they run with your money, but still would be a nice extra satoshi if you compound your investment for some days.

But you have to be ready to lose them already.

Sorry about your loss.
2262  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of CoinBase on: August 03, 2015, 07:34:19 PM
I trust Coinbase a great deal. It does not bother me much that they track some of my spends... but I understand that many people would not like it and move to other services.

2264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest problem with Bitcoin on: August 03, 2015, 07:23:09 PM
For me, the main problem is lack of opportunities to fund your wallet.

Creating a wallet and using it is somehow hard to the average user, but it is still harder to get some significative bits in their account. Almost the only "easy" option is buying, and buying makes people suspicious.

To integrate some easy ways to get some bits INSIDE the wallet (web or client) via faucets, apps download, or some other way, would be a great incentive for new users.

2265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin motivated me to get fit (and more)! on: August 03, 2015, 07:14:08 PM

Yeah, it's nice to see Bitcoin used for/associated with something SO healthy & good for you! I definitely know some people who only know the more negative aspects of Bitcoin's history, and when I told them about the Proof of Workout challenge & Gyft, they were really interested in it! It's great to spread the good uses of Bitcoin that people who aren't too familiar with it can easily understand.

Perhaps it would be good to post a push up challenge  Roll Eyes (i.e 10,000 satoshis per push up to the winner, and 7,000 to the second, or whatever). A symbolic, not very high payment would do.  Grin
2266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is bitcoin better than litecoin? on: August 03, 2015, 07:07:26 PM
Yes, the main advantage is the greater popularity and support for Bitcoin. Once you get this type of cryptocurrency, any additions (more security, faster confirmations etc.) are not likely to add that much providing than the first cryptocurrency is already functional. And it is.

Love litecoin, though, and other cryptos Cheesy

How much (a rough estimate) will take for the wallet to sync?
2269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin motivated me to get fit (and more)! on: August 03, 2015, 06:07:48 PM
I have heard of an idea (not sure where, I think in zapchain) about paying Bitcoin for every heartbeat. When you workout, the heart rate raises, so it would be kinda a pay per workout.

The question is ... who would pay it. Besides, there are other ways to raise the heart rate that are not as healthy

But I like a lot the idea of getting some reward from being healthy / working out. It would be great to see government policies supporting that in the (far) future.

2271  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I can smell the fear on: August 03, 2015, 02:27:32 PM

Even if they aren't open about Bitcoin everyone is holding some. Even if they say "we are not interested in Bitcoin, we just want the blockchain" sort of thing, they are secretly holding lots of BTC, because at the end of the day the guys in the banking world aren't idiots, that's why they are rich.

I haven't thought about it that way, but completely agree with that. Bitcoin has earning potential, and its ups and down provide also a great earn potential by trading...

Those who hold lots of money (banks) will surely play with some Bitcoins to raise their own earnings.

2273  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BitcoinGet.com - Get bitcoins for watching videos and completing tasks on: August 03, 2015, 01:26:49 PM
There are almost no paying jobs for newcomers who are not in USA. If you use a proxy, you lose your badges Sad

I understand that the "do not use proxy" warning is in the terms, but most of us do not read the terms, and I had more than a thousand task completed (rank 3 badge) which I lost, and I think is for this reason.

I think it does not make much sense to put so many test questions if you will be downgraded anyway just for not being from USA. If you can pass the so many test questions, it stands  to reason that you are able to complete the task correctly, regardless what country you are in.

Some surveys, etc. are only for USA, that is ok. But there are many many tasks that are not surveys, just regular jobs, and they have many test questions. I think it is not wise really to block users from other countries that are able to do those jobs correctly.

2274  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] Mellow Ads - simple, bitcoin advertising - CPM/CPC campaigns now available on: August 03, 2015, 01:11:25 PM
I couldn't withdraw yesterday, but now it is working, thanks.

As for the site, it would be good to raise the number of ads per domain. I have a blog and a forum, all hanging from the same .com domain, and I could post more ads (6 in blog, 4 or more in forum) if it weren't for that limit.

2275  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: August 02, 2015, 11:38:49 PM
In fact, saving a bit is not at all difficult, but we indulge ourselves too much.

I mean, it should be easy to go to the cinema 2 times a month instead of 4 or more. It should be easy to stick with our smartphone/computer/tablet 6 more months instead of buying the latest one. It should be easy to eat less or less expensive food, or save in gas by walking more.

But we use to say "yes" to our flesh too much.

I do not think that is a scam either, the site, the responsible persons, physical addresses... all this is on the website.

2278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt.CC | Scrypt Cloud Mining on: August 02, 2015, 12:30:53 AM
I think it's safe to say ScryptCC is on life support. I HAVE NEVER seen khs prices this low.

Any clues on why are khs so low?

Yes, it is because the rewards are quite low right now, if the rewards go up, the price of khs will follow.

But rewards have been low for quite some time, and there was a slight increase about 5 days ago.

Since then, the price has been dropping...

Not bad though, as I keep buying. Just wanted to know if there were another reason (some post by admin or the like)
