1641  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptonit.net Is it legit or just scam? on: November 01, 2015, 10:08:17 PM
What is the thing with paypal? do they allow for paypal/bitcoin exchange or something?

1642  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How about this trading strategy? on: November 01, 2015, 10:04:45 PM
Tried it yesterday using 0.02 and 0.01 amounts to buy/sell and more than 2$ jumps (sometimes 4 or more dollars jumps). It worked well, but did not earned that much (about 50-60 cents in Bitcoin I guess  Tongue).

Considering I only had about 0.05 BTC invested at the same time, does not seem to bad, but neither too good.

1643  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Greatest Bitcoin Invention Ever! on: November 01, 2015, 09:19:31 PM
The idea is good in a perfect world. But in my experience, most people would not pay except they are forced to do it. They will likely prefer to be shown an ad before they could comment.

Perhaps some would pay to see the video without ads (as some have said), and that if there are several ads in the video (if it is just one ad at the beginning, they would likely prefer to skip it).
1644  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: iFaucet RELAUNCHED - 1000 satoshis hourly, 10% ref. bonus!!! on: November 01, 2015, 09:09:26 PM
A really clean faucet. If all faucets were like this, it would be much more easy to claim them happily for hours!.

Thanks.
1645  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Brazilian exchanges hit all-time volume high in October on: November 01, 2015, 07:48:10 PM
I would love to see brazilian exchanges rise a lot. This would be a good precedent for other exchanges in other countries. Plus, I really like the layout and functionality of a brazilian exchange I use, so would love to see it with a higher volume.
1646  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Riddle me this? on: November 01, 2015, 01:47:35 AM
I'm a newbie to the site but bought Bitcoin about 6 months ago and like most am pleasantly surprised by the recent price increase. I tried to get an answer to this on other threads but can't find one. Here goes:

If predictions of a future Bitcoin, valued at multiples of it's worth today ...are common belief, why on earth would you use Bitcoin in the first place, let alone sell it?

Thank you in advance for all informed responses.

I assume people are looking forward to spend them when the price raises to a certain level, which will probably be coincidental with a mass adoption and easier opportunities to use it.

1647  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why is buying/selling Bitcoin so difficult? on: October 31, 2015, 07:28:40 PM
You could try coinbase. It worked for me in Spain, although I had to provide some id.

I recall it accepted many countries.

1648  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: You know that killer app you all wanted? on: October 31, 2015, 03:08:41 PM
So it works through an special keyboard that is linked to a bank account, then the other user (who should have also that special link to bank account) could get the money?

That is really really (really) cool! As they are explaining, it will work in any platform using keyboards.

Can't wait to see it functioning.
1649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This saturday, the BITFILM FESTIVAL 2015, will screen some great Bitcoin films on: October 30, 2015, 11:46:31 PM
LOL the missing doge ad around 0:26...Thanks for sharing it made me laugh.
1650  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: How to earn bitcoin by watching video? on: October 30, 2015, 08:43:41 PM
I visited the site and It rewarded me between 800 to 100 satoshis where you have to fill a captcha and play the video for about 8 secs. So, It's not too low but being a video advertisement the rewards could be better.

Thanks for the feedback guys! Just to be clear, we're currently paying between 100 and 1,000 satoshi for every video watched. Because http://vidybit.com is so new, we literally have no idea what payments allow us to remain sustainable at this point. With that in mind, early calculations from this last week's activity leads us to believe we may not be able to payout an average of more than 500 satoshi per video.

I also understand that with many faucets you can claim more at one time, but something to keep in mind is the fact that we do not have any annoying popups, we have no waiting (except for 45 sec to watch the video), we have no minimums (unless you're not using a Xapo account), and we have instant payments.

I truly love the bitcoin community, and want to make this a fun and useful tool for beginners to easily earn bitcoins. I also understand there are limitations to what we are able to pay out, but I do take feedback very seriously and always take into consideration the opinions and suggestions of our users, so thanks for trying it out and sharing your experience with me!

Ey, your site looks good!. Hope your site is sustainable enough to raise payments. I love xapo paying websites.
1651  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Volume reporting for bitcoin exchanges on: October 30, 2015, 07:54:05 PM
Perhaps it is not in the interest of exchanges to agree with that. There are many exchanges, and maybe that would allow users to compare between them better and just use the best ones...
1652  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How about this trading strategy? on: October 30, 2015, 07:49:20 PM
I think in a relatively stable market, this will work. If Bitcoin price suddenly changes in a bull run for example, your buy orders will not get filled and you are probably better off buying and holding.

Regarding the 2$ below current price, how did you arrive at that number?

Oh, the 2$ limit is only an example. Could be 3$, 1$ or 5. Depends on the individual, fees of the exchange used, etc. It is only an estimate.

As for the bull run you mention, you are totally right. In fact it just happened me today LOL
1653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin + GPS + Drones + Dead Drops / Kidnapping on: October 30, 2015, 06:31:33 PM
I guess someone will came up with some way to track Bitcoin transactions in some way. However, it does not happen, perhaps tracking money should be renounced as a way to catch criminals. Not all are caught because they used marked money.
1654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will we have the #SelfieCoin? Having to take a selfie to send coins... on: October 30, 2015, 05:58:33 PM
It is a revolutionary concept indeed. Would love to see it prosper.

But it would be even better to MINE the coin by selfies. That is, you take a selfie with someone and that person gets some coins and you too.

1655  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Websites to publish my ebook for bitcoin on: October 30, 2015, 05:54:04 PM
Which websites are a good alternative to amazon kindle for publishing Ebooks in exchange for bitcoins?

I have seen that there are books posted for sale in cryptopia exchange. You may try that.
1656  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poll: How high will this current bull run go? on: October 30, 2015, 04:51:24 PM
I see many people selling when the barrier of 300$ dollar breaks, so I only expect 375$ or less. Hope that feeling is mistaken, though. Smiley
1657  Economy / Trading Discussion / How about this trading strategy? on: October 30, 2015, 03:30:33 PM
Use at least 0,5 BTC

1) Check the current BTC/usd price

2) Put a buying order about 2 dollars below current price for 0,02 BTC (i.e. if price is 280 $ put a buying order at 278$)

3) If you manage to buy, put a sell order at least 2$ above your buying price (if you bought at 278$ put a buying order at 280$). When sell order fills, go to step 2.

4) If price keeps raising and your buying order did not fill (wait some hours/days whatever), cancel your buying order and go to step 2.

5) If your buying order fills, but price keeps going down, wait some hours/days and go to step 2 again (i.e. Buy more).

I know it depends on the time you use for waits, and you are not getting the full benefit if BTC keeps going up and up. Earnings might be slow, but pretty safe in my opinion (disaster would be only if BTC goes very low and you are caught with lots of BTC, but you could still hold them).

Opinions?
1658  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Digital currencies to solve problems on: October 30, 2015, 03:17:21 PM
Solves the problem of individuals transferring money from one side of the world to another without any other person mediating in that transaction.

Solves the problem of having to hold a bank account with detailed personal info. If you are an alien in a foreign country, you probably cannot have it (your id is not accepted etc.) but you only need a computer connected to the internet to hold bitcoin.

1659  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People become believers when they see you pay IRL on: October 30, 2015, 03:11:11 PM
This is true. Now, bitcoiners just need more places to be able to pay with BTC

Just this^^

Buying something in front of people using bitcoin will convince them. Problem is that there are many many places in which you cannot buy anything directly in BTC. At least here in Spain.
1660  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is causing the spike in Bitcoin value October 2015? on: October 30, 2015, 03:07:17 PM
Also the news about Bitcoin being considered a currency in EU may play a role. There are several good news that might explain the raise somehow.

Perhaps an anticipation of the halving too?
