1961  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Well Deserved Fortune of Satoshi Nakamoto, Visionary and Genious on: September 24, 2015, 01:49:15 PM
If he got all that BTC, he is so rich that he hardly can be an unknown person. At least around where he lives.

So we can look for millonaires to find satoshi  Grin
1962  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin could alleviate monetary policy problems? on: September 24, 2015, 01:44:09 PM
Do not think so either. Bitcoin is just a currency, and if no other currency could alleviate them, Why would Bitcoin?
1963  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: September 24, 2015, 01:38:18 PM

I like investing in friends who I trust who do various things (LBC, arbitrage, other.)  I also buy used physical mining equipment when I see a great price, mine some coins, and then sell the equipment back where I bought it or higher.  BTCpop has a good auto-invest feature that pays 3% a months or so on your coins.

Got interested in BTCpop. Thanks for mentioning it!

How secure is that 3%? is there any way to get more than that in BTCpop?
1964  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you store your bitcoins ? on: September 24, 2015, 01:34:12 PM
I just store them in coinbase wallet for the time being... but I only have about half a Bitcoin.

1965  Economy / Digital goods / Re: $1,500 FOR BLOCKPROOF.COM on: September 24, 2015, 01:31:02 PM
I got offered $1,500 USD for a domain I own called blockproof.com. I bought it a few years ago to build something around blockchain time stamping or smart contracts. I have had other things distract me from this and I got a phone call the other day with the offer. Buyer wants it for some kind of ad blocking site, not even blockchain related.

Should I accept the offer, or should I hold out for more down the road?

I think you should accept it.

If the offer was related to blockchain, you could think "well, perhaps more blockchain interested people would show up". But the fact that the person who called you is not even interested in blockchain is like a signal that this is a unique opportunity.
1966  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "We need to remove the smell from bitcoin" on: September 24, 2015, 01:28:44 PM
I do not understand what he means by "hiring" Bitcoin not "using" Bitcoin. I am not a native speaker and always has understood "hiring" as paying someone to do something. Cannot see how you can "hire Bitcoin" ...

1967  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Solution To Bitcoin's Governance Problem on: September 24, 2015, 01:13:47 AM
I will not vote. I will be happy with what majority decides.
1968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TO all miners and bitcoin holders would you? on: September 24, 2015, 01:02:04 AM
I am happy with it remaining at 200-300 and earning them bit by bit. To reach 1000 again would be very good, but although I hope for it, it is more like a dream than a sure-to-come reality for me.
1969  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why There Should Be A Bitcoin Central Bank on: September 23, 2015, 08:00:13 PM
I think it is better to just see where can Bitcoin get without any bank ...

If a bank is needed, then it would be better for the actual fiat currencies to just be converted to e-coins.
1970  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin...? on: September 23, 2015, 07:54:55 PM
How many users (estimated) are there in Bitcoin right now?

It seems to me that 4-5 years are needed to achieve this...
1971  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Free apps.. on: September 23, 2015, 06:16:47 PM
Apps to earn free satoshis are bitcoinaliens and freebitcoin. You can get them either on the Apple or Play Store.
1972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you had to choose to put 5 BTC into 1 BTC investment, what would that be? on: September 23, 2015, 03:13:03 PM
So, if you had to select only 1 single BTC related investment to put 5 BTC into it, what would that be?

I know a lot of people re going to say there are no safe and sustainable BTC investments but I strongly disagree. Once you exclude HYIPs and ponzies, you can do well in the crypto world.
What would you choose and why?

Right now I would put it on BTCflex. Yes, it is a HYIP, but I have ROIED in it (been online for months now) and they offer only a 5% fee to free deposits while they have 3.6% daily interest.

So basically I would invest the 5 BTC, wait for 2-3  days, and withdraw the deposit. Which would mean a 1.6%-5.2% profit.

1973  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Circle Asks all Customers to Convert to USD, Releases New Bitcoin-Free Ad! on: September 23, 2015, 03:06:46 PM
Too bad, a step backward for mainstream adoption. For now, you can still "stay with bitcoin", but seems it will be a forced exit later...
1974  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Bitcoin billboard on: September 23, 2015, 02:58:29 PM
Who are the persons investing the money to produce those billboards?
1975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Should you stay or should you go? on: September 23, 2015, 02:54:03 PM
I am staying mainly for the earning potential. I try to get a life online, and Bitcoin is a great opportunity.
1976  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: September 23, 2015, 02:47:26 PM
Any of you proposing loans... Have you had positive experience lending? Can you comment on some?
1977  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Keeping your bitcoins safe - Academic Survey 2015 on: September 23, 2015, 02:43:24 PM
Survey finished.

I showed a clear online wallet bias. I think that it is the option to go with most non-tech users.
1978  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In your own words: What is the purpose of Bitcoin? on: September 23, 2015, 02:36:03 PM
The purpose is to be used as money without a banking entity controlling it.

Also to make international transfers possible without exchanges.
1979  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin does not work. on: September 23, 2015, 02:32:37 PM
Bitcoin does not work because people do not trust to buy things with bitcoin. I have a site running now for 5 months selling precious metals, made plenty of sales with credit card, bank transfer, no problems but not a single bitcoin purchase!

What is the point in bitcoin again?

Most people see Bitcoin as an investment, just as precious metals are. So a site selling Bitcoin will probably have more potential.

1980  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The 21 Bitcoin Computer on: September 23, 2015, 12:48:00 AM
For the miners or people with mining experience out there...

How much Bitcoin (a rough estimate) would a person be able to mine daily by using this?
