The real problem here is that you cannot buy everything in everycountry with Bitcoin, so you have to involve a fiat conversion.
Let´s say that the sender is in USA and the receiver in Italy. Sender wants to send 100$. He has to convert dollars to Bitcoin, then send, then receiver has to convert bitcoin to euro. All these conversions are not as trivial as going to a western union shop and just withdrawing the money. Futhermore, those conversions have fees too.
In order for this to work flawlessly, Bitcoin has to be accepted as a payment means so you do not have to convert them to be useful.

It is a pitty if cryptsy ends like this. Makes one feel afraid of whatever exchange one may use. Everyone can fall it seems.

Porn, Gambling and other vices do not need a new coin to come to the rescue. They have quite a "future" on their own and prevail. Even if we end up trading eggs and chickens instead of money.
It is human nature.

I am from Spain and currently living in Colombia.
In Spain I only know about two friends that really know Bitcoin and use it, however everyone I ask has at least heard about them and say "it is risky". Only know about a guy in Colombia who have heard of it, no users that I know.

Bitcoin: An Internet of Money
That is what I voted. I think is more catchy and does not explain too much, so people would be more likely interested in it.

There is just too much population in China, which, in addition, is tied with higher than average Bitcoin awareness.... the result is self-explanatory

You can do programming jobs or look around the Altcoins section, maybe you can find a giveaway coin and trade that to BTC
Selling your skill as a programmer or even designer its such a good thing to earn bitcoin in this forum, you can find a lot of project on markeptlace that needs your skills or just open your own service, moreover if you have a product you can sell them and get paid with bitcoin The programming field (or world) is very large and you have many languages. Each programming language has it owns specific in which platform can be work properly. But i think joining the mobile development world is nice to get started by building mobile apps. Yeah, programming is very much required. Almost all jobs I see for BTC are programming/coding jobs, or website building.

Do not think it has exponential growth. Just common sense tells it. At least, not fast-exponential enough to notice it along several months. Maybe it will have double value in 100 years and five fold value in 200 (that would be exponential) but it would not matter really.

I registered 3 days ago. Made like 3-4 posts and some friends. My balance did not raise even a cent of a cent, so I stopped using it.
Some other friends say they have earned some cents. Bitcoin will be a nice addition, of course.

2% is not bad at all. There is the possibility to earn more, but always has a risk. As far as I know, arbitrage is 100% secure (if there is something like that) as you only buy/sell when profit is assured.
Worst case scenario is not earning anything. Am I right?

Rented, or photoshopped (at least in the case of NXT). It would be not too difficult.

In your honest opinion , what are the methods that each one of us can do to make bitcoin grow (whatever was your definition for the word grow) Most friends I know are into it as an alternative earning method. Explaining friends who are unemployed, younger ones (students etc.) how to make some bitcoin and how to buy with them seems like a very good method to spread the word for me.

Would be great to see it working. The more easy it is to exchange BTC into a more regular and accepted money, the more users will be attracted.

I would love to be able to CPU mine, but if we resetted to that point, it is very likely that Bitcoin will lose all value. And who knows if it would ever regain it.

No tiene mala pinta esta moneda, hoy me fijé en ella por primera vez. Ojalá salga bien adelante.

To tell the truth, even though that there have been clearly a lot of lies, cheats (autoinvest enabled without question, reward raising promises that do not come etc.) I have received all withdraws I've made, even though with delays.

Hello there.
I just began staking some SPROUTS, it is a POS coin, and would like to hear about other user's experiences on staking it. I have noticed that the coins have lost about a 20% value since I first bought them and not really sure if it is better to hold and stake or sell them before more loses come in...

I have bought paypal money for BTC in localbitcoins.com and looked like a fairly secure site. Would recommend that with the knowledge I posses right now.

yeah, that tends to be the norm with Linux: you need a fair amount of knowledge to use as there are lots of software you need to compile.

Porn is so pervasive that there is really not much need of paying for it. Too much hassle to get Bitcoin to get porn. But surely someone does.
