1581  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin democratic or are we just transferring wealth? on: November 09, 2015, 07:18:02 PM
Programmers have an edge, but not all the advantages in this. I have come to see in many coins that the guys developing it know how to program, but not how to make it widely adopted. Others help them with that and earn coins as a reward, so wealth spreads.

So I am not that much afraid. Coins will go to those who do things (either programming, promoting, creating services etc), and to people who trust it. Perhaps geeks will hold some more, yes but still it should be somewhat fair.

Excuse my ignorance but. What good does one receive for having a low uid in just dice?
1583  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: is farmsatoshi a good website to earn some bitcoins? on: November 09, 2015, 04:38:01 PM
20k sathoshis is not much for a day, but still more than faucets taken in an individual sense.

However, you can get much more than that with a rotator and with less hassle I guess. Good option if you like the game itself.
1584  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] Mellow Ads - simple, bitcoin advertising. NEW free faucet!! on: November 09, 2015, 02:08:54 PM
It is great to have this post to be informed. Ads were not showing in my site and got scared.

Thanks for your hard work and for even taking charge of loses. Few services would do that!

Perhaps the prize will make him come to light. Who knows.

1586  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Ransom paid using Bitcoin on: November 09, 2015, 01:14:00 PM
Many people will understand that the evil is not in the tool (Bitcoin) if they gave it a second thought.

Problem is most people are lazy to think. They'll see Bitcoin + ransom in the news and asociate it to evil instinctively.
1587  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: 200 Satoshi Every 5min | Digital Dice on: November 09, 2015, 12:40:18 AM
Like high frequency faucets. They end up being more profitable than unfrequent (hours) faucets which pay more.

Can you withdraw those 200 sat or do you have to gamble them?
1588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] INCAKOIN l Crowdfunding to support development | Android Wallet Released on: November 08, 2015, 10:35:37 PM
I voted "change the pos to 100% per annually and lower minimum stake age"

I feel that the 90 days to stake makes many people do not get into the coin as they want to see results sooner. Even though a 100% stake is very generous, we leave in days when people want to see results fast.
1589  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Overview] The one thread to link them all on: November 08, 2015, 09:57:02 PM
Very good list of links, it takes good effort to put up a list like that. Congratulations!
1590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So I made my first real purchase with Bitcoin on: November 08, 2015, 08:53:11 PM
Thanks for telling your experience. It makes readers go hopeful.

You say you scanned a code, so do you have a mobile wallet?
1591  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best investment? on: November 08, 2015, 08:50:22 PM
Real state use to be very good, but then with the crisis it is doubtful that a big profit would be obtained. Futhermore, you need lots of cash to buy real state.

Bitcoin can go wrong (risky) but looks good. I would invest at least some on it.
1592  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are gift card codes reversible? on: November 08, 2015, 01:54:29 PM
I have never get an amazon gift card being reversed, and do not think it is really possible to do so. Once you apply gift card balance to your amazon account, It is their fault if there is some error (at least that is what I think) and your balance should stand.
1593  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: State of mining on: November 08, 2015, 01:50:52 PM
For me personally it would still be viable to buy my own mining equipment and make a profit, especially with the current prices of Bitcoin.
But this is mostly because everything in my house runs on solar and I wouldn't have to pay for electricity.

Plus I rented a miner a few days ago on Betarigs and made a small profit, so that in itself shows me that it can still be profitable for the little guy Smiley

What a good situation!

I have heard of some that put mining farms near waterfalls that generate the electricity.
1594  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone booked profit when btc touched $ 400 ? on: November 08, 2015, 12:17:02 AM
Is there anyone who has booked the profit by selling the btc when the price was around $400 ? I have some coins but missed the opportunity and the prices are down again. I was hoping that the price will go beyond $500 but unfortunately it crashed.

I bought around 457 euro!! and then it went down, ruining my buy/sell average. At least I managed to do some buys/sells with profit too. But only with a 2€-10€ margin of benefit and small amounts (0.02 to 0.1 btc).

Hope it goes up again.
1595  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you track your BTC buys/sells? on: November 07, 2015, 11:59:38 PM
I use an excell sheet in which I copy the data from the exchanges. Then the excell tells me what is my average btc buying price, which comes handy to know at how much I need to buy or sell, and how I am really doing.

1596  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: This is the moment for arbitrage trading on: November 07, 2015, 11:53:46 PM
yes the main problem with arbitrage is moving money between exchanges. Too slow and the opportunities dissapear. Bots are needed, and even then you have to hold money in the two exchanges, which is kinda risky.
1597  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the price stuck, because blocks are full ? on: November 07, 2015, 11:20:36 PM
The price is stuck because traders decided to dump and take their profits unsure about Chinese BTC demand. Unless we see some positive press, I think we re going to go down.

Likely this. People get nervous when they see profits and sell. Me included.
1598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cut future block chain? on: November 07, 2015, 11:18:09 PM
I do think it is an issue. Right now, I cannot afford to have core installed, would need a new HD for that.

Yes, storage is quite cheap, but functionality should be better. It does not make much sense in my opinion to store years of transactions I do not need to have. There should be something like "checkpoints" and it would be great if wallets had the option to only get info from those checkpoints onwards.

It is a waste of storage for many IMO. Sort of like those people who store hundreds of photos in their HD which will never watch again. LOl

1599  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Much Bitcoins Do You Have? on: November 07, 2015, 09:58:39 PM
A bit over 1BTC, not that much. Hope to get to 2 BTC soon.
1600  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rare address hall of fame on: November 07, 2015, 09:19:22 PM
I have access to some GPU power. And decided to work on some rare addresses.

Here is my findings so far:

https://blockchain.info/address/1HouSEGuESTsL9244MpRPpn6ZgANQS3RkQ
https://blockchain.info/address/1HUMMinGBiRdmKzZBBsNtw2Uf87WQEdq4w

Wow, those are nice. How much time did it take you to get them?

Would be great to have something similar to that.
