*A lot* of questions here. I'll answer a few. 1. How bitcoin wallet knows how much money I have? : it count it on the basis of the bit coin chains or i just uses some variable to keep the info?
It retrieves the data from the global blockchain. 2. If I understand it correctly, every time when I make a transaction, I also send my public key so that the others could verify that it's done by me?
If yes, lets imagine the following situation:
Bob creates bit coin wallet and gets some bit coins.
Alice steals Bob's public key(which is not a secret) and simulates the bit coin message which says that Bob transfers Alice 1 bit coin. She uses Bob's public key to validate it.
Actually here we have 2 situation: a) when Bob's public key was already used in some of the transactions. b) he never used it before.
Alice cannot change Bob's transaction because she is unable to sign it without Bob's private key. Well actually she can change it, but the digital signature won't match, so the network will ignore it. Only transactions with valid digital signatures will be accepted into the blockchain. |

Regardless of your opinion on if the law is just or not, the police officers were only doing their job.

Thanks for derailing this duplicate thread before it took up any more space.  It's not an example of Godwin's law. Whether or not you agree with his overall point, it actually is EXACTLY an example of Godwin's Law. It is a perfect example that proves the rule. Godwin's law confimed, which automatically ends the discussion. OP please lock the thread. Look up the Nuremburg Defense before you make yourself look like an idiot again I respect your opinions and that, but come on, comparing this incident to the Nazi leaders and the unthinkable horrors they caused was a cheap shot. |

Need some advices.
1. Is dank eligible?
We need to support danks beliefs and values. My fate is in your hands. if you wish to see me die, by all means continue using a tyrannical currency such as bitcoin that inhibits free speech and has banned me for simply offering a smarter solution to their greed based economy.
Dank cannot accept Bitcoin, it goes against everything he believes in. As a community we should honour that when temptation comes his way. |

Wonderful. And the cycle continues. Bitcoin leads to private cartels that self regulate those outside of them by the sole discretion of the staff.

If you want anyone to take bitcoin seriously, you're going to have to at least respect natural rights of humans as much as the US government.
At least they pretend to have a fair justice system.
If this community cannot respectfully explain why a member who has been active since 2011 was banned for posting articles, why should any member hold trust in this community or pseudo wealthy bitcoin elitists?

Hypocritical that here you stand, deferring and consenting authority to a staff member of a closed, regulated forum.
Danks next move will be to play the free speech card. But this won't work because, as "the joint" correctly pointed out, this forum is closed and regulated and if the staff don't like what you say they can boot you out. This is no different if you was in my house and if I didn't like what you was saying I would be free to boot you out into the street. Naturally dank won't see it like this and scream his fake persecution. |

We are still awaiting for you to pay off your debt, which is infinitely more important. Are you a staff member? No. Just pointing out how maybe you should treat others how you wish to be treated. In my opinion, there is little wisdom in pointing out the splinter in your brother's eye instead of giving careful attention to the beam in your own.
This has been the wisest post I have read concerning the subject matter. If your seeking wisdom, dank threads are a poor choice. They exist for light entertainment purposes only, nothing else. The fact that you feel the need to justify such a thing only shows your fear of higher philosophy. Oh come now dank, let's not pretend we don't both know about our unsaid agreement. You entertain us and we give you the attention you crave in return. It works well, but you need to come up with some new material, I'm starting to get bored. You've milked the music festival comedy sketch to oblivion now, just getting tiresome. Think of some fresh ideas. |

"If you keep feeding the problem" notice how he refers to the homeless as "the problem", the context here is obviously feeding the homeless
"It will never go away" the homeless man is referred to by the pronoun "it", as if referring to a different species
Depends how you read it. Does "feeding the problem" refer to homelessness or does he mean keep feeding them doesn't really tackle the problem of getting them out of homelessness? Also he could of been referring to the problem as "it" instead of the man as the "it". Maybe I read it wrong. |

I just tried using my card and my account has been frozen.
Bet they charged you premium rate phone charges. I've no doubt of that. I'm using my cell phone too. They don't have a "normal" number. Last time I had to call it, while in the uk it cost me £21 :-( Before I went on holiday to Mexico I informed my bank I was going for a fortnight there. They acknowledged that was fine and informed me I would be able to use my card. When on holiday I wanted to do an excursion and decided to use my card. Surprise surprise it was blocked. The call to my bank to unblock it was *a lot* more than £21. One big scam. |

There really is no point. Dank has made it more than clear he doesn't intend to pay anymore back. Spending money on drugs is more important to him. There is no point dank still being a member of this forum. |
