1761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BFGminer not accepting work? on: April 10, 2017, 11:05:00 PM
It looks like you are mining litecoin. I would try and put a support request in the alt coin section as this section is only for BTC miners.
1762  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Bitmain Antminer S9 for Sale !! on: April 10, 2017, 10:35:15 PM
There is a sale section for threads like these.

P.S. Bitmain has brand new 13.5th S9s for sale right now for $1296 with a full warranty.....you should probably explain what added value there is to what you are selling since you are 40% over the new price and the only difference is the new ones come with a full warranty
1763  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Will Bitmain Antminers S9 and T9 be obsolete if Segwit is launced ? on: April 10, 2017, 04:47:12 PM
I feel like people have no concept of what segwit or asicboost actually is....they just see some reddit post demonizing it and fall in line when they really dont have a clue what it does or how it affects things. Everyone is so focused on calling bitmain the devil they dont care about the truth. Its like burning someone for being a witch back in the day...there was no basis in reality for any of the claims levied against people yet they still burned because the unintelligent masses would gather in mindless mobs and parrot what one or two loudmouths would say until everyone believed it to be true.
1764  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Launches the New Antminer T9 Bitcoin Miner on: April 07, 2017, 10:10:48 PM
I'm mostly interested to know the full capabilities of the once thought to be obsolete S7.

Who said the S7s are obsolete?
1765  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: EBang 14nm 6.3T (140W/T) BTC Miner for sale soon on: April 07, 2017, 05:50:08 PM
Also this is Ebangs first mining chip and it has not been on the market very long. On something as complicated as in house design of an ASIC the chances of them being the best/most efficient on the first try is most likely pretty low.
1766  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Soooo, how about that Bitmain? on: April 07, 2017, 05:44:50 PM
don't count on me, so there are at least two of us, hence NOT anyone.

Feel free to split hairs if it makes you feel good
1767  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Ebit e9 miner with 6.8Th/s from Ebang company a new rival for existing producers on: April 07, 2017, 05:43:13 PM
Here is a nice tutorial someone wrote up to navigate the chinese firmware

I'll pay a premium, anything to avoid these criminals

No you wont, and neither will anyone else. Thats why the market is the way it is....
1769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Buyer Beware - MSI RX 470 Quality on: April 06, 2017, 05:15:49 PM
Whatever you guys do stay away from the R9 Furys. We had an actual failure rate of 14% on a deployment of almost 2000 of them.
1770  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Mining Bitcoin Unlimited BU on: April 06, 2017, 05:11:48 PM
mining bitcoin and mining bitcoin unlimited are the exact same thing. It just depends on what pool you connect to and which protocol they are supporting. You get paid the same either way at this time.
1771  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Second Power Supply turns off after a while why ? on: April 06, 2017, 05:00:39 PM
Looking at the power draw while mining ethereum they are pulling 140-150w per machine which is about 900w on the PSU. Also looking at aerocool PSUs I see reports they dont put out rated power and heat up easily under load. This is why your PSU is shutting down.

Here is a list of PSU vendors graded by quality. I would replace both of those PSUs with better units.

1772  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: s7 not hashing on: April 06, 2017, 04:52:17 PM
That is also the expected reaction when there is a fan problem. It will hash for 2-3 minutes but eventually shut down if it is not seeing the fans.

P.S. If you can access the status page it would be helpful to upload a screenshot of that when asking questions.
1773  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: In antminer s7 asic status '-' in two chips, how can i fix the problem? on: April 06, 2017, 04:50:53 PM
There is no fix that you can do at home. If the chips are bad the only fix is to physically replace them.
1774  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Low Hash score and wu on S9 on: April 06, 2017, 04:49:39 PM
Well if you take a look at chip temps the problem looks like it is board 1 aka chain 6. You can see that on the chip 1 temperature that is only at 28c so obviously there is something funky with that board.
1775  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: EBang 14nm 6.3T (140W/T) BTC Miner for sale soon on: April 06, 2017, 04:45:53 PM
I posted pictures of the 6 PCI-E version months ago in the other ebang thread. I am actually going to do some amp clamp tests to get REAL power numbers today. I will post what I find so everyone can have an accurate idea of the efficiency.
1776  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Launches the New Antminer T9 Bitcoin Miner on: April 06, 2017, 04:04:50 PM
I think Bitmain just serves the big miners now, so if you're a small miner best to look into other crypto's to mine.

The entire bitcoin ASIC industry serves the big miners. Ebit, BW, and Bitfury dont even sell individual units.

Thats what altcoins are for.
1777  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Themaltake Toughpower 1200W Gold burnup after 30 hours powering Avalon A6 on: April 06, 2017, 04:00:49 PM
Just to throw this out there...if you have a first gen avalon 6 it pulls about 1100-1150w on a 92% efficiency PSU. Since you Are driving that one so hard it is only at about 86% efficiency based on the link that was posted on the PSU.

This is driving an ATX PSU way too hard and it is not surprising that it failed. If you are going to buy ATX PSUs to run industrial equipment you need to build a better buffer in there. Get a 1300+ watt PSU if you are going to stick with these kinds of PSUs.
1778  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Antminer S9 Review on: March 31, 2017, 08:25:43 PM
As part of my job I follow all complaints/critiques/opinions about miners and take it into account when purchasing. The T9 complaints I have seen all fall under the category of user error and not hardware error. If anyone has an actual issue with T9s please let us hear about it.

1779  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Antminer S9 Review on: March 31, 2017, 12:48:18 AM
I'm using the Baikal 900 MH machines, they are good quality. I haven't had any issues with them. The only thing I wish they supported was static IP addresses, they only support DHCP. But apart from that a very good machine.

I had to read that twice to make sure I read it right. No static IP support? That is the most ridiculous thing I have heard all day.
1780  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Launches the New Antminer T9 Bitcoin Miner on: March 31, 2017, 12:46:59 AM
I wonder whether the efficiency trade-off translates into selling used equipment from their own mine. The second hand equipment they gave me in replacement of my faulty boards was definitely from their mine, but I wonder if they are selling second hand machines as new.

How long until you reach your ROI do you think? And how long have you been running your T9's?

Any machines I have purchased from bitmain used were clearly communicated to me prior to purchase. I have never received used hardware that was sold new. I do apologize for not being able to answer but I do not disclose financial information on this forum. I have multiple batches so there is no specific answer for your final question.
