341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Zhilei Zhang vs. Joseph Parker (WBO interim heavyweight title) March 8 on: January 24, 2024, 11:42:06 AM
Zhilei Zhang reminds me of George Foreman after his comeback in his later years. He is quite old for a champion and doesn't have the best reflexes but he can still hit like a mule. Joseph Parker demonstrated against Wilder that he is able to handle a one-dimensional fighter with heavy hands so I see the outcome being favorable for him. The speed, age and skill advantage are all in Parker's favor. He just needs to follow a similar strategy to the one he used against Wilder.
Yeah, but I think if we look at Wilder, he is already not in his prime when he had Parker. I mean his lost to Fury might be his last straw, because after that we've seen him self destruct and blame everyone around him including his so called customed. And that's why Parker was able to bet and dance around as Wilder can't pull the trigger and he even admit that post fight interview. But with Zhang, like you said, the more he age, the more he mature and maybe, just maybe if he can hit that one power left hook of his on Parker, straight flush, we will see how Parker can take it. And maybe this is the reason why is the favorite in this fight. Odd makers are giving Zhang to hit him with his power early and put the fight away in his favor.
342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been able to win a game given to you in the dream? on: January 24, 2024, 10:23:29 AM
So what experience have you entered in your dream about gambling?
Have you ever won a game from dream?

Please shear your experience.
They say though that what you dream is the opposite of what is going to happen in real life. But there was one dream of mind, vividly as I always played roulette, - the number 28. So if I have the change to play again and then remember that number, I usually bet on it. However, it's still a hit or miss, sometimes I win big, there are times that I forget to bet on it and then the ball will just fall. Nevertheless, this could be another superstitious belief or gambler's fallacy and believe that what we dream will turn into reality. Maybe it was just a coincidence or maybe there are people who remember their dream and by chance win if it is has something to do with numbers. We might call it also symbolism, so really depends on what we believed or it's important to note that these connections are only speculative. So I will say that approach it with cautions as well.
343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 24, 2024, 09:23:56 AM
Bucks is 30-13 and 2nd in the NBA standing but the management don't like teams defensive performance so they fired Adrian Griffin. Bucks had the second-best percentage of teams to let their coach go after the Cavs parted ways with David Blatt in 2015-16. According to rumours Doc Rivers is a top candidate for the job. They have both Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo. A team with such great players and aiming for the championship should have such an experienced coach.

Why was Adrian Griffin fired? I couldn't understand why they would do such a thing when they had such a good winning percentage and the team was the second best team in the NBA.
Doc Rivers is a legend, he will have a huge impact on the team becoming champions. If he stays with the Bucks for many years, they can be a team that wins back-to-back championships. But I think it's interesting that they made such a decision in the middle of the season. I hope the team doesn't start playing badly after Griffin

We don't know what's happening behind the scene but based on my observations, there are games where the Bucks are not on the same page. I mean, with their strong line up, they should dominate their opponents especially the weak teams, but that didn't happen, they look dull on the court and it's always been Giannis who are carrying the team, with that kind of play, I doubt they'll beat the Celtics or the Heat.

This changes is due to the fact that they are not satisfied with the job of the coach, and despite having a good record, it's not that relevant for them as they want more, they need to be a championship team and ensure they'll win the championship. Doc Rivers, have the experience but he's messing up on the past teams he handles, maybe this time he'll find a success.
There could be loopholes on Griffin, but I think he did a good job as the coach. Remember that they've traded their defensive guard in Holiday just to get Dame. So that's a lot already, they needed to do some adjustments and they really one of the best teams right now. I guess everyone was caught by surprised and getting Doc Rivers? No offense to him but after this success with the Celtics, he didn't even get closer to get a ring as far as I can remember. So this is a bit awkward and maybe someone inside though, or some players wanted Doc Rivers to be their coach, just saying. Hopefully this will turn very positive for them, otherwise, the fans are going to make fun of Rivers or even the Bucks for firing Adrian Griffin when they are in the best shape and has a winning percentage.
344  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New macOS backdoor stealing crypto wallets (Bitcoin Core and Exodus) on: January 24, 2024, 08:30:06 AM
It's just weird that they seems to be fixated on Bitcoin Core and Exodus? Or it is just easy for them to write the code and look for this wallet? Or this is just the beginning for the author of this malware and see how it's going to be easy for them and most likely include all other wallets like Electrum and Metamask and others that most of the crypto enthusiasts are using? Everything has to start from something, and for those newly user of macOS, this doesn't look good. If I'm not mistaken, softwares for macOS are very expensive and probably this is the reason from this authors to write malwares that targeted macOS users now and then gamble that someone can fall for their trick and steal our hard earn cryptocurrencies in our online wallet.

345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Roller Coaster feeling When You Gambling on: January 22, 2024, 09:22:54 PM
And I think it boils down to two:

Whether we win or lose. If we play to let's say blackjack or anything that involves skills specially poker, we feel like sense of accomplishment, as we beat a lot of players and becoming a champion. Of course there is financial gains to all of us winning big in a casino and regardless of the amount, we go home very proud of what we have accomplished.

But it's the opposite when we lose, it's a combination of different emotions, guilt, frustrated, disappointment. As per my experience, there's a lot of things going into my mind. Guilt when I should have stop earlier if I still have the money. And losing lead to disappointment and frustration, and even blame ourselves on how bad luck I am on that particular night and even promised not to play anymore. But the next day, you go back and gamble again.
346  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: January 22, 2024, 10:48:18 AM
That is called consolidation, and sure maybe you might "feel" that we are going sideways for 1-2 weeks, but what is the basis for your feelings merely beyond just feeling such?  There is a lot that could happen in a short time, especially if there is a lot of money being juggled around in the bitcoin space, and sure maybe it will just neutralize itself, but who knows.  There is still potential for explosive moves or even gradual moves up or down, and none of that would be considered to be a 1-2 week consolidation as you are proclaiming to currently "feel."

So what are you personally doing to prepare?  Are you already prepared for any possible direction?  Or you are ONLY prepared for sideways in the coming week or two?
Not sure about preparing, but in any case, it will still be accumulation for me, no matter what, and that is to be on the safe side. Consolidation for me is ranges, it could either be a breakout run above the upper boundary of the consolidation pattern or going lower boundary. So in any case, it could still be a win-win if we step aside our emotions, and if we see consolation, the easiest way for us is to continue to buy again. If it goes down, then continue to do and it by chance there is a break out run this we could make a small but still good profits in short term.

347  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for January on: January 20, 2024, 08:34:27 PM
It's bull market but Bitcoin can't afford to drop more.
Because if it drops more, bears will come out again and bears can become very dangerous.
Bitcoin just needs a stable gain now and bears will be frightened again and won't attack.
In the beginning of the month, we have a huge jump in prices, so you can't blame those who voted and convince that we are in a bull run. And specially after the approval of the Bitcoin ETF's, we almost top $50k and we thought that it will continue it's bullishness because of that news. However, it was the opposite, maybe there is some kind of manipulation behind, maybe some big entities take advantage of the situation, liquidate their position when we hit $49k'ish and take profits, and then newbies panic when they saw this huge sell orders and follow and push the sell button as well. So we can't assume that we are in a bull run, bears will be bears, they will go and try to put pressures whenever they can to make people sells. They can easily create FUD as well to sow and manipulate public opinions and then they will take advantage of that situation again and again.
348  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is social trading in crypto? Do you EVEN use them? on: January 20, 2024, 10:44:55 AM
I know about Copy Trading, but I have not found any thing about Social Trading.
In social trading, you can know the strategies used by people that copy traders are copying in mirror trading which most people refer to as copy trading, but the trader will have is own choice to make which makes it different from mirror trading. In social trading, traders will be able to interact and learn from good traders.

Thanks for the explanation. Do you personally use social trading platforms? or do you follow your heart?
I think the keyword here is "social", so you interact with our traders are opposed to copy trading wherein you simply copy the strategies of others without any contact. But in social trading, you not just copy their trades or mimic them, but you and them can share information. I think the best advantage of this kind of trading is that you simply learn from others and if you talk to them, you might pick up their mind and their trading decisions.

However, regarding your questions, no I don't used social trading and not this strategy. For me, it's better to learn trading itself, there could be ups and downs and losses in the beginning, but at least you can gain experiences and uses this to leverage and become a successful trader yourself.
349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The PCSO Lotto is shrouded in doubt due to the picture of the winner shown on: January 20, 2024, 08:09:59 AM
but never in my entire life have i seen or known someone who actually won sweepstakes in our country. the one on tv who ironed his ticket got his money after several years but there must have been some arrangement behind the scenes that he only got a partial amount.

There's a real winner. It's just that in that case on this topic, it was suspicious especially that the jackpot was being raised and the timing is critical. It's a tactic to attract people to bet more. I don't know if PCSO are thinking properly and they should anticipate that posting that pic will really raised some questions.
They are not thinking when they post that image in the public, and their actions to have a positive effects ends up having the opposite, and now they will have to face the consequences and answer all the out cry of the public regarding the real winner and they should explain everything now as they are in scrutiny by the Senate itself.

Regarding that lotto winner that still got his money after being ironed, he should just be thankful because it's clear on the lottoery terms that the winning lotto ticket should be properly in its 100% proper state when claiming the money. But as report says, he still got home millions. Not bad at all even that person did some mistake.
The real winner has claimed it already, it could be in lumpsum and it's good to hear. And as what we expected,

Quote
Tthe Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said it will submit the names of lotto winners in a Senate executive session if subpoenaed after an edited photo of a Lotto 6/42 jackpot winner went viral.

https://www.gmanetwork.com/news/topstories/content/894652/raffy-tulfo-asks-pcso-for-names-of-lotto-winners/story/

So maybe in the next hearing, the real winner will come up and tell the whole story?
350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does it bother you when dealers change during play? on: January 20, 2024, 07:48:39 AM
What are your thoughts on this? Do you mind when dealers in your table change? Or does it not bother you at all?
Depends on the game itself,

a. if I'm winning on that dealer, then I might have to leave the table because of my "superstitious" belief that the dealer is very lucky to me. Hence changing him means that my luck might turn a U-turn
b. if that dealer is on the opposite, I'm not winning nor losing, then it will be a sigh of fresh air that maybe my luck with change for the good.

And if I'm not mistaken, dealer are like being shift every 30 minutes to an hour. So it could be the timing as well when suddenly they will be change in the middle of the game wherein everyone is winning.
351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 20, 2024, 12:58:55 AM
Poor D'Lo, his name keeps popping up for a trade between the Lakers and the Hawks,

And as per report, the trade might look like this,

Lakers get:
- Dejounte Murray

Hawks get:
- D’Angelo Russell
- Jalen Hood-Schifino
- 2029 1st round pick
- Additional Draft Comp

It's not yet final and official, but it looks like after playing good in the last couple of games for the Lakers, D'Lo is on the move again.

I can't see Atlanta pulling the trigger on this trade.  Dlo is OK but trading your starting point guard for Lakers bench players and a draft pick 6 years from now does little in terms of making them competitively better.  I can see a contender adding a young pice and a pick closer to now or 2 picks even.  Murray is a great addition for a contending team.
It doesn't really make sense for Atlanta, they already have Trae Young to be their main point guard, so adding another one won't help their cause. And I also don't understand why Murray is a trading bait, he has been helping the team with Young as their main offensive weapon. But it is over the news, so I guess the Hawks is willing to let him go. So we will see how it will goes down, if there are noises and multiple reports already, we might see it happening in the next couple of days and obviously the winner here will be Los Angeles Lakers as their roster will not been impacted by this trade and they will add another versatile player in Dejounte Murray and just giving up only 1 future picks and some money in return. I also read that Kyle Kuzma as well be on the trading block, and there are multiple teams interested on him.
352  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading with bots on: January 19, 2024, 09:00:44 PM
I am doing scalping with 1 minute chart and I see a big rejection candle at 22.21 london time for most alcoins, also for btc...how do you guys interpret this?
My guess is the trading with the altcoins is done most by bots...
Any tips on how I could learn to automate my trading with bots?
Not to burst the bubble for you, but there could be advantage of using bots. As far as I can remember, there is one bot trading program like 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥[GUNBOT] Trading Bot with 136 exchanges available!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.

Of course one big advantage is that you can automate all your trading using bot. But there are learning curve in the beginning, and it might take sometime for you to learn it. And yeah, in my opinion, majority of traders are using whatever bot they have in their arsenal. You might want to revisit the following threads,

353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The PCSO Lotto is shrouded in doubt due to the picture of the winner shown on: January 19, 2024, 08:39:34 PM
What's your thought about that picture, is it real or edicted?

Of course it's fake. You can see that her clothes were painted on. Why would they even change her dress and everything? Why not simply blur the face, or make her wear a Guy Fawkes mask. That would've been funny.
That's is the very point on why majority of us think that it could be a fake person or there is a fake winner with the way they edited the photo itself. And people quickly realized it but it's too late for the institution to offer an apology as they have been judge by the public already. So the point that they've been mock and ordered to explain to the Senate what really happen or if there is a real winner.

I'd say the win was real, but they made a picture and someone was concerned about the safety of the winner or something and some idiot decided to photoshop it and it came out looking like a joke. Like this whole thing was faked. The person responsible for allowing an inexperienced person to edit the photo and post it should be fired because it makes the whole operation look unprofessional.
The only one that can proved that is the person who claim the winner ticket. But his life will be in jeopardy if he goes to the public because admit it or not, everyone is a freeloader if they know who won the the lottery because it's a big money. So I doubt that they can force the person itself to surface. Anyhow, let this be a lesson for them in editing, just blur the face or hire some professional editor as I know that Filipinos are one of the best in this field right now.
354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 19, 2024, 11:38:23 AM
They have a good experienced guard in Dennis, and he should be used and play more time.

No question about his capability, he really is a good guard, his team won the FIBA world cup, right? However, even if Dennis is good, he can also be a liability if their opponnents will design a play to attack him since he is a small point guard, so Raptors also need to look at that, I see Dennis as Trae young who is a liability in the defensive end.

Raptors now ranked number 12, so I think every game is important for them to at least qualify for the play-in tournament. However, missing Siakam might be a big problem for them and it started to show their real capability as a team.
I haven't seen Dennis though being attack by the Knicks in that game, maybe I might have missed it. But he has the experienced already, playing with the Lakers and now with the Raptors, so I don't think he will be a liability, if yes, then he can offset it with his offense as he is known to be a streak shooter, specially in three.

I think they know it already, and they have made the move to let go of their number 1 offensive weapon in Siakal. So moving forward, they will have to deal with it. And others pointed out, Barnes is now their main offensive weapon. But still though, it's better if they will have a complete team just like when they won the NBA as everyone is really a perfect fit to their rotation and system.
355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does the tension make you take risk that are sometimes worth it? on: January 19, 2024, 07:47:01 AM
So I would like to know your own experience when making or taking risk in gambling under pressure.
As it is obviously will turn out good, or bad for you, simply as that. Lately I'm been on the positive side when I gamble on land base casino. But I change my attitude as to not be under pressure an just play along, money that you can afford to lose so that it won't affect you negatively on have that mentality that you are chasing something big and that gambling is the way around it, specially in terms of financials as you want more money maybe because you have to pay something. And if that is your attitude, then there will be pressures for you and if the result is bad, you will be under stress for days and you scramble and try to look for money again to play or to pay your gambling debts. Maybe if you win then the risk is worth, but what if it doesn't? Things will not go as plan on your end.
356  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: January 19, 2024, 07:11:34 AM
You must live in a small world, or you have been overly influenced by "trading" talking points.

People talk about building and passing down generational wealth, so that is not about exiting, but instead about building, accumulating and maintaining pristine assets.

If you build enough of them, then you either do not have to sell any of them, or the wealth generates other kinds of income and you live off the income from the other cashflows that are generated.
Honestly JJG, I'm overwhelmed with your response. Your influence and guidance in my Bitcoin accumulation journey can be greatly felt. Just like a naivete I was thinking in every investment there is to be an exist from it but then I was wrong. You are more of an eye opener in this forum.

Exactly! You are right I also read his posts carefully and he give more and more knowledge. I like his style of typing most precious thing is that he gives examples. With these examples we Understand that what is the point and what is he want to say.
He writes a point briefly which shows everything. I mostly see when anyone has a point or he/she is on wrong side JJG try to his best to teach him/her. I mostly visit his post history and chech what is he saying and why is he saying to get more knowledge from him. Smiley
And it just shows how JayJuanGee is knowledgeable as far as Bitcoin investing is. This guy literally help us on how to manage our funds, like accumulating and building generational wealth. And it's not just for us though, sure we can be rich through our Bitcoin investments and it will make us feel great. But if we can built wealth today and then passed it on from generations to generations, then we can make their lives, the lives of our kids or even grandkids be better by doing some actions today, requires intentional financial planning, investment strategies, and a focus on creating a legacy that extends beyond the current generation. And with JJG helps and others well informed members here, asking for their guidance and sharing it and even correcting us from time to time so that we won't waste time, it's already a blessing being here in the community with this great mentor, in my opinion.
357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever regretted selling your bitcoins ? on: January 18, 2024, 07:42:43 PM
To be honest, I sometimes regret some sales that were for trading purposes. But those I sold for my needs—I don't regret that. During trading, sometimes I miss the boat. After I sold my bitcoin, the price moved significantly, and I wasn't able to buy it back at all. So when I remember that, I regret it, of course. This is life; it always won't be in my favour. But still, I want to accumulate and make money from the volatility. Regretting and being hopeless won't help us gain anything. We have to focus on the future.
Me, on the other hand, regret selling it when I want to gamble and then lose those precious BTC, or even if I won, I didn't convert my fiat or local currency to Bitcoin so that it will remain intact. I don't regret when something very important is happening in my life that I really need to sell it because of the circumstances, but gambling? when I think about it and reflect on what I have done mostly in the past? yeah, I feel disappointment with the way things unfolded.

So probably I think you will agree that it's the same situation with you in trading, you missed the boat, or your timing is off when selling then. Prices move on the opposite direction and you just wish that you didn't make that mistakes to sell and then just lose them in trading. But I guess for everyone though, this kind of regrets should be a lesson to us and not let it consume us and overthink about it.
358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you care about what people say about you gambling? on: January 18, 2024, 07:25:00 PM
This now triggered me to come ask here whether you cares about what people says or sees you as when gambling, I know there are people who don't know you from time or who doesn't believe that you are a gambler and if it happens that you came across such people and their reaction towards you goes other way round would you care about it or you just totally ignore them?

Let's discuss amicably
No, I wouldn't care, I just ignore them. there is no point caring for someone's opinion about you if they don't really know you. besides, people who love judging other people are usually hypocrites and are just projecting their insecurities towards others to make themselves feel good about themselves. I've had my fair share of people like the one you mention and one of the things I've learned about those kinds of people is that ignoring their opinion and not getting a reaction out of you Irritates them, which is funny(at least for me).
That's the thing with gamblers though, we are very emotional, I mean that is the very basic of how we lose, we sometimes goes to the length of using our emotions that we don't stop when we still have money in our pocket but instead go and try to win big. So maybe there are gamblers here who are still very emotional as far as hearing what others are saying behind their back. Sort of they don't want to have that social stigma in their neighborhood or society that he or she is identified as a gambler. Specially if there are stories that you losing big money in gambling.

And admit it or not, there are people who loves to gossip and talk about others specially if you did like a taboo against the society. And then they try to influence others too and make them believed that something is wrong with. Obviously, this will get us to be irritate with this kind of people around. But for me, I will just laugh it off and try not to be influence by them.
359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 18, 2024, 12:21:44 PM
Like I said earlier before the trade happened. The Raptors are waving the white flag and they are on a journey to rebuilding which I think is a great move from them. They saw nothing was happening for the team and it was time to move on. They already traded great important pieces like OG Anunoby (recent), Kyle Lowry, and Fred VanVleet, it's time to move on and create a new roster that would highlight Scottie Barnes.
Better do it early than act late. Soon they might not find some good trades to best fit their goal and now they are a winner because of the three first-round picks they received. Who knows if one of those players will be the next star of the NBA?
Indiana Pacers on the other hand could start building chemistry with the other players as soon as possible and all he needs is to wait for Haliburton to come and I am sure they will be more of a scary team. The Pacers lack the defense and a big man, but Siakam can do both offense and defense so I think it's a big win for them.
It seems though that they have traded everyone from their championship team when Kahwi lead it? There was talks that they can still make it when Kawhi leaves but it looks like that it was not the case for the Raptors and I do agree that they are now in the rebuilding phase, perhaps the last important pieces to say that the Raptors will have a new look has been traded in Pascal Siakam.

But I was surprised that he goes to Pacers or at least Indiana is very much interested on him. And I do agree that they are the winner in the trade as we will see a immediate impact for them as Pascal is going to be in their starting 5 and help the team since Haliburton is still out. I don't think that they lack a big man inside, they still have Miles Turner. Obi and Pascal though will have to fight it out for the PG position, but there is going to be depth from the Pacers.
360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Kambosos - May 12 IBF Lightweight Title on: January 18, 2024, 12:04:52 PM
They say this is Haney's left-over fights, hehehe, but it's true, however, I'm not that convinced that Haney totally defeated Loma in their fight. And then he refuses Loma for a rematch. Haney though has accomplished a lot in his young career, so we will give him that.
Obviously, it is, but for us, he beat Kambosos fair and square. But against Lomachenko, it's questionable as most of us here thought that Loma did enough to at least make it a draw. But the judges saw that early score of Haney is enough for him to win. So it's not that it's a left-over fight. And with Haney going up in weight and winning a belt, I don't think he will go back to this weight anymore. And so it's good to hear that the IBF belt is on the line for this two. And I'm seeing Loma winning and maybe it's time for Tank Davis to fight him. Tank has been protected for so long, and they should make fight a real champion.

As for this fight, Kambosos only advantage here is that t his fight is going to be in his native Australia again. Nevertheless, it's not a assurance, Haney traveled to Australia and bet him twice. And I think his string of bad luck fighting in his home country will continue as I see Loma winning thru 12 rounds here.
Loma needs a convincing win though. He is going to travel to Australia and we have seen worst thing happen like in the Pacquiao vs Horn fight. Hopefully, they won't rob Loma. But Loma can remove the judges in this scenario if he can win by a knockout. Or just a total dominant win just like what he did when he has coming to 135 lbs and defeating a lot of great boxers.
