581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you keep a record of winnings and losses in gambling? on: October 25, 2023, 10:20:44 AM
Do you keep a record of winnings and losses in gambling? Many here will feel that this is waste of time and will also not let them enjoy the game peacefully. Do you also have same mentality?
No, doesn't make sense for a gambler to record of the winnings and losses. It's not that it's a waste of time, it's not it will not bring anything to the gambler. What benefits? you will cry over your loses? Or see how much you win at that time period and the next week you lose everything? And if you are playing online, there is a record already, you can go back and see it. But for me, I also don't practice that.

So just enjoy your gambling activity whether online or offline, and just play the money that you can afford to lose and everything will be good on your end. And probably this is one area that we really don't need any data to see if we are doing good or not.

Yeah, it's been going for a while know, even personalities like Putin, who was reported dead because of heart attack. And then Denzel Washington followed by Robert Downey Jr. So we shouldn't take everything seriously of news of someone famous being dead. We need to verify it first because there's a lot of social media around us. And those people are using this kind of news for clout, clicks and others to make money. It's just sad that they have to involved the CEO of Stake.com here. However, it is not true obviously. And I will say that we should refrain from this kind of posting in my opinion as this is very bad.
583  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin may not hit $24,750 again in 2023 - I'm bullish till 2024 on: October 25, 2023, 09:48:54 AM
Let's hope what @OP hopes for happens. If it survives until next year, we should feel happy because Bitcoin could have a chance to rise again next year. But there is no guarantee that the price can remain at the current level because today's correction caused Bitcoin to experience a decline of several hundred dollars.

We also need to find out how long this correction will last, especially since we are only in the middle of the week. Usually, a correction will come at the weekend so we can get ready to buy more.

But no matter what happens in the market, if the price has yet to reach above $50k, it is still a good price to buy Bitcoin. I'm still waiting for a while to see where the Bitcoin price moves to know when I can buy.
I don't see any correction though, on the other hand, the bullish momentum continues to $35k. I guess even if there is fake news that push the market, it seems that investors are not going to sell right now. So as we break the $35k barrier, we will be looking on the next target which is $38k. If we did break it this month or at least November, then possible that we might reach $50k at the end of the year.

And this is what the OP has seeing based on his charts, we have a break out Fibonacci and it could linger till the end of the year. Although he said that $35,865, the highest we go so far is $35,150 which is very close to his prediction.

Please delete my account, the button doesn't want to work.
You can't as others have pointed out.

Maybe the best you can do is change your email address, then after that you'll receive a link to lock the account.

Or you send message to the admin that you wanted your account to be deleted. But not sure if they will respond to that request.
585  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blackrock ETF/Bitcoin will destroy the (new) cryptocurrency industry soon... on: October 24, 2023, 02:03:49 AM
Not sure what this youtube wanted to convey, but this is pure speculation and perhaps FUD. I don't think that anyone can destroy cryptocurrency as a whole. If it will fail, then we won't see the sudden and massive explosion in Bitcoin.

So yeah, this is pure non-sense, perhaps just wanted to promote this video here and got views. But for crypto enthusiast, we've seen wars already and then the pandemic, and it didn't have any significant effect on crypto market itself. And I guess that's make at least for Bitcoin to become more stronger is that it has 4 year cycle, based on bitcoin halving. So there is a sense of balance, as we have bear and bull cycle.
586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 24, 2023, 01:19:03 AM
Just one more sleep until NBA basketball kicks off. I think with the Damian Lillard trade the Bucks became the team to beat in the East and I think the pickup of Bradley Beal makes the Suns the team to beat in the West. I think the Warriors will have another good year along with the Celtics and Nuggets, but I think the Bucks take home the crown this year.
Yes, and so the games are:

Nuggets vs the Lakers - going to be a great game for sure. We all know that this two has been building rivalries, specially that they have face off during the West finals. And there has been a lot of trash talking ever since.

Warriors vs the Suns - we are going to see CP3 against his former team, sure they could be a lot hugs before the game, but it's going to be competitive. Also Durant, who says that he is looking for the game because he was a former Warrior and he knows that he still has some fans in that city.
587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Nigeria socialite went all in on this sport bet on: October 24, 2023, 12:58:00 AM
More likely this is just to show off and he wanted to be recognized as one of the big bettors on their country and surely he will influence others because they will gonna think that it's okay to gamble because even the billionaires in their country are doing it. surely it will lead to other addictions and might gonna cause some troubles in their life because if they follow such a man who is a billionaire and they are just common folks who don't have much money, they might end up in debt because they might fall into addiction.
Yes, that is very obvious that this socialite just wanted to show off his big bet and try to proclaim that he has so much money right now that he can afford to lose or make that huge bet as if he is just enjoying his life right now. However, I will caution ordinary folks not to copy this guy and big bet as well. As I have said, with his money, he can do whatever he wants with it, including gambling.

But for us, when we see this big and think of copying his bet to the point that we almost guarantee that this could be a win and put large sums of money. But if the bet didn't go for sure it will hurt us more than the billionaire guy himself. So very careful and not replicate in terms of bet this individuals that are flaunting their money in the gambling world, including streamers.
588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake casino streamers! Why such streamers are very popular? on: October 23, 2023, 11:50:21 PM
I came across a very interesting article about fake streamers https://www.ltccasino.com/fake-streamers-exposed

Some facts and arguments struck me as very curious. I had never really thought about why nowadays the Twitch and Kick platforms have become so full of people streaming online casinos there.

Having little experience playing at online casinos, I can't be sure that everything written in this article is true. What do you think about it?

It's very interesting to hear the opinion of experienced players and people who are versed in this subject.
This is not new though, I mean it's very obvious that if you are in the gambling world, you will understand where this streamers are coming from.

1. Either the money they played are from the casino itself, we didn't see their bank accounts or depositing a money to the casino.
2. Fake money
3. They are using just a demo account

Why are they popular despite this? It's because people wanted to witnessed something big gonna happen to him. Most likely for gamblers they want to get that experience to let's say for Rothstein (mentioned in the article), betting on his favorite number of 14 and hitting it big. So if you are a gambler who play slots and one of your favorite number is 14 as well, then you can related to that kind of feeling seeing that ball hitting "your" number.
589  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Stevenson vs De Los Santos - Nov 16 on: October 21, 2023, 04:08:17 AM
And as per Shakur, he said that maybe Delos Santos is a harder boxer to fight as compare to Frank Martin. Maybe he is just saying this to hype the fight and try to just annoyed Martin as he was supposedly the original fighter that Stevenson was to fight, agreed in verbally and then in the last minute doesn't want to and duck Shakur.

So we will see, we still have a month to go before this fight happens. For now Shakur is the outstanding favourite. But we can only hope that Delos Santos is a tough fighter that will give Stevenson a good test.

That's what he should be saying if he wants to hype up this fight, you know? He knows he's not up against a big-name opponent, so convincing fans to tune in can be tough. But if he starts making some noise and claims his opponent is worthy, that could get people interested. Shakur is the clear favorite according to the bookies; it seems like a one-sided match, and they predict an easy win for him. So, for the regular fans, they might think this fight won't be as exciting as advertised. That's where promotions come in – more trash talk and hype might be just what this fight needs to succeed, I guess.
No big-name opponent because he can't get one, everyone is ducking him and so only De los Santos was willing maybe because he is not a American fighter. And this is why he is dangerous and Stevenson knows it.

I might be seeing another Crawford vs Spence fight. Shakur likes to play like Crawford, while for me De los Santos fights like Spence. So it's a copy fight and we all know how it ended. De los Santos is a good boxer with power, but Shakur will figure it out how to beat him, and uses his boxing IQ. So maybe it's going to be +7.5 rounds, with Shakur winning by KO/TKO. But still though, this is a great fight and we will see Shakurs skills and technique.
590  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 21, 2023, 03:46:37 AM
The Lakers and the Suns facing off was a cool game to watch. Both teams seemed to lack something. The Suns in particular seemed to have guys out there on the floor that shouldn’t be playing in an NBA game. I thought Nurkic looked good but some of the Suns smaller defenders looked lost out there when facing up against bigger players like LeBron.

As I see it, the main point of preseason games is to get the main players of the teams warmed up before the regular season and also to give the bench players some playing time on the court. That way, the bench players have some opportunity to prove themselves, while the coaches can decide who should play in the NBA and who shouldn't.

I hope so. The less Grayson Allen I see on the court the better. He has no business being in the NBA with his dirty play style and I hate seeing him on my home team.

Just a few more days until the season kicks off now. I can tell you that I will for sure be spending Tuesday night watching the guys on TNT kick off another year of NBA basketball.

I know back in his college days at Duke he was.  Watched plenty of his games and wasn't fond of his style.  Surprised actually coach k pit up with it.  Since he has been buried on the Bucks I really haven't been following.  But is he really still that dirty of a player I thought he cleaned a lot of that up.  He is decent for 15 minutes off the bench as an 8 or 9 guy off the bench.
Well he was under the radar as a dirty fighter, in the NBA. And he was a good contributor as a defense player and even some games wherein his offense was displayed. However, that shot he gave to Caruso started everything for Grayson Allen. Caruso was out for more than two months if I'm not mistaken with a broken risk. And then after that, he goes on another Bulls player months after, in DeRozan.

For his college days, not sure though, but isn't he was caught tripping players not once? So yeah, he has a history already and most likely that's why the Bucks wanted to get rid of him despite what he can bring to the defense.
591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - Nov 15 on: October 20, 2023, 12:08:01 PM
Still months before the fight though, although there are odds already, but I still wanted to see the crypto betting sites that we are more familiar with. And perhaps just a ML will be suffice for us. Although there could be lots of betting options for those who wanted to risk more to win big. But if the odds are like 1.8x, good enough for a ML bet, in my opinion.

The odds we are seeing are just predicted odds; they do not exist yet in the sportsbook. So, we can only verify if that is true once the odds are released. Yes, it's quite early, but some popular matches have early odds, while this one doesn't. So, it's safe to say it's not a popular fight despite being a championship fight.
Yes, and that's what I'm trying to say, we can only speculate as what are the odds in this fight as the fight is still a month to go. And seldom we see crypto sports bookies releasing or listing the odds are early unless it's a fight that is hype or well known, so we need to wait for the official odds.

And to reiterate, if Ancajas became the underdog, then it could be good bet for us fans as we all know that he might have a puncher chance to beat Takuma Inoue. We really don't hear any news, but for sure they are already in the middle of their trainings in preparation of. this fight.
592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: October 20, 2023, 11:44:38 AM
Yup, Inoue's power punches can bring Tapales to kiss the canvass just like how Donaire ends his rematch against the monster.
like what you said, it's tough to find the right strategy, but he Tapales needed that.

For now, the delay of the schedule will give him time to prepare and to continue working with whatever his camp thinks that will help him.

Something that may allow him to stand out and surprise Inoue. Whatever it is or whatever strategy may it be, he needs to build that
confidence as in overall stats, Inoue really got a far advantage.

ATM, Tapales is busy with his training and last time i've heard is that he is in Baguio City and he is tapping Vincent Astrolabio as his main sparring partner, this is a big help for Tapales since Astrolabio is also a world-class boxer. Tapales is known to adjust to whatever style his opponent may bring so I think Inoue might be surprised if what they saw on tape might be different from actual.
That's good to hear that he is training in the Philippines with world class sparring partners. But we all know that no can can copy of Inoue and specially the power that he possesses. So again, just like what we are saying, it's going to be the biggest task for Tapales to beat Inoue. But he needs all the help, and it's good to hear the Vincent Astrolabio is willing to help in an capacity.

Though not official rumors had it that this fight would take place on December 26, right after Christmas Day.
Doesn't matter to this boxers, they are willing to sacrifice just to pursue their dreams. Specially for Tapales, because if ever he will beat Inoue then he will be a unified champion and he will be the first one to deal Inoue his first pro defeat.
593  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for October on: October 20, 2023, 02:40:03 AM
^^ Ok thanks for this news, I was actually looking as to what has caused the sudden spike of the price in the last 24 hours. So there's was supposedly a leak news but it was fake.

But in the positive side, the price has taken off to $28k already, but we should be very cautious as it might fall back to $26k. Or if investors doesn't mind the news then maybe we can still hold on to this price up until the end of the month, it will be good then for the market, even if there is some entity with clear manipulation from behind.

It also appears that it is not only bitcoin that is being targetted by fake news. There is also other fake news being shared that the creators of Roblox has begun accepting XRP for payments.

Are they beginning to use fake news as a tactic to anger the SEC? Uncle Gary is scratching his head.

[..snip..]

On social media, false claims can spread like wildfire—even well after the source media has been deleted.

Roblox has denied that it will support XRP payments, despite claims that spread widely on Tuesday, telling Decrypt that any suggestion that gamers could buy Robux to pay for in-game items with Ripple’s XRP token is “inaccurate.”

The rumors began swirling late Monday when payments processor BitPay tweeted that users could begin using Ripple’s XRP token for Xsolla payments in supported games—and tagged the free-to-play games Roblox and Smite.

When asked why the tweet was deleted, BitPay CMO Bill Zielke told Decrypt via email: “There was an error in the tweet.

I read that there is a rumor that Gary himself was fired as a SEC chairman.

[..snip..]
https://twitter.com/twobitidiot/status/1714247871418044500

His allege firing though has nothing to do with crypto, but in some political role he did in the past. Although this rumors has been circulated for months already specially after he appeared in Congress and it seems that the law maker is not fond of Gary, on how he answered the questions regarding crypto in general. And so the fake news continues and it's very important that we know how to read between the lines and not fall for it.

The rumor is very headshaking and will certainly only trick the people who does not know that the president cannot fire an SEC chairman. There needs to be a reason that is impeachable and if the SEC chairman is impeachable, it will be argued and voted in congress.

In any case, it appears that this grandma Elizabeth Warren is attacking crypto with fud again. I speculate this fud might manipulate uncle Gary to reject the applications for the ETF again that have a deadline on November.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., along with more than a hundred other lawmakers, said she is concerned about how Hamas raised millions of dollars through cryptocurrency and wants answers from the administration of President Joe Biden.

The slew of bipartisan lawmakers cited a report from the Wall Street Journal last week that said Hamas, along with other militant groups, used crypto as a financing tool ahead of attacks in Israel earlier this month. The letter was sent on Tuesday to the Treasury Department and the White House.

Source https://www.theblock.co/post/258183/sen-elizabeth-warren-joins-more-than-100-lawmakers-to-ask-biden-about-plans-to-prevent-crypto-financed-terrorism
And that's why it is called fake news though, because there could be some gullible individuals who might fall for this news and then think that's true and so fuelling the bull run, they buy more bitcoin. But then again, this manipulators will go and sell, making huge profits and then those newbies is left shaking their heads as to what happen.

So very important what we read everything out there, on the contrary though, regarding the Hamas news? The market is not shaken, on the contrary, we might have to hit $29k again. And when we thought that this October is another month that we will see a sideways pattern, we could be in for a unexpected $30k'ish or close to it.
594  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 20, 2023, 01:46:29 AM
^ I guess Poole just want to proved a point here, and for sure he could be one of the cornerstone for the Wizards this season. That's why I wanted to see them goes to Chase Center, it will be fun seeing him against his former team mates specially his play is somewhat similar to the mold of Steph and Klay Thompson. For the GSW vs Kings game, the atmosphere was really like playoff games and it seems that there is a brewing competition between the two. Steph again, proving why he is the best shooter in the league with that clutch from the outside. And most likely we will see more of CP3 + Steph and how this two veterans are going to blend specially down the stretch of the game. CP3's jumpshot is still there for him.

They have sponsored ad on google. "Changénow.Io" , but when I clicked I didnt know I came to changenow.fi..

Their scamprofit is more than $1000 right now.
Sorry to hear that, I do hope that you learn your lessons, it could be expensive, but at least learn this experience put under your belt and you will be somewhat be vigilant to search using Google because it's a bad practice.

You can search the community if you are looking for exchange instead of Google, and then bookmark the site if you have found the reliable exchange.

There are a lot of scammers and criminals in the world that we evolved in - cryptocurrency.
596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Regis Prograis vs Devin Haney on: October 19, 2023, 11:28:23 AM
I already voted for Haney by decision but personally, I want Prograis to win. So I support Prograis because he is the more exciting fighter by delivering knockouts in most of his fights.

Same here. Haney is a boring fighter and he should not be undisputed at the moment as Loma schooled him hehe. I just hope though that Prograis would knock him out because if this goes the distance, most likely Haney will win by decision as judges will favor him. We may not like him but Haney has also this amazing "Mayweather-like" defense.
It's really a robbery from what we saw during the Loma vs Haney fight and what makes it annoying though is some of us lost in that fight when we clearly see that Loma is ahead on our score. So it could be rigged as well or the judges are in the pockets to give Haney the W.

Hopefully, Regis can back it up against Haney, I think Haney hasn't face a knockout artist like a southpaw like Prograis is. So this might gave Haney a problem. And Regis is really very confident that he will send Haney to the canvass and then score a knockout victory and give Haney his first L. But I wanted to see Regis put Haney first and wobble him like what Maidana did to Broner, that stanky feet.
597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question for those who loose too frequently in gambling on: October 19, 2023, 10:50:15 AM
I have often wondered about the people who have lost a lot in gambling and who almost loose in every gambling activity they participate. What is their reason or motivation to continue even after so many losses?
Easy answer is that we are chasing what we lost and we wanted to get it back. So we go and play the next day and then if we win then good, at least we recoup what we have lost. But in unfortunate circumstances that we continue to lose, then obviously we will go back and play. And that is the vicious cycle of gambling and that might fall in the category of gambling addicts. Because you can't really stop playing after a lose and you still believed in yourself that you can make it out alive that particular day with a big chunk of money in your wallet. But in most cases it's not. I know that there are people who says that they play for fun and be entertained, but sooner or later they will realized that they are losing money and it doesn't feel good.
598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Flip or Trade? What’s The Bigger Gamble? on: October 19, 2023, 10:34:12 AM
I agree with you, we could say that day trading is more like gambling if you're unsure on what you're doing or you have no idea how it works and Some traders should know how to control their  emotions. well, everything is easy to learn if you are really interested, we have a lots of accessible tools that will help to do some research regarding this matter.
Even in that case there are fundamental differences between the two, in the case of gambling even if you knew nothing about the different games offered by the casinos your chances of winning are still as good as the chances of everyone else, so your ignorance does not have an effect on your potential outcomes.

But when it comes to trading we see the opposite, as if you are ignorant about how the market moves and what you can do in order to take advantage of those movements you will lose your money without any possibility of getting it back.

Even with the knowledge you gain in trading as I have worked a couple of years in a grain exchange you cannot win constantly which make it the same as the gambling. In fact in gambling is better as because as you say you don't care much knowing anything except you just need to hit that spin button in slot machines for example and the outcome is already determined before,so the only thing needed here is LUCK,the same in trading, without LUCK no matter how successful you may think you are you will not be for long.
Yes, but still though you might have a good chance if you know technical analysis and you know how to take advantage of it. So there is still some element of luck but at the same time, you can reinforced it with the knowledge you have. So the chances of you making money specially in the long term is higher as compare to gambling as it is really based on luck specially the games like dice or slots.

And once you step up in a traditional land base casinos, expect that the money that you will gamble will be 99% be on the losing side. Unless you are extremely lucky that day. Same with online gambling, you don't know what will be the outcome. So for me, if you have the experience to do day or short day trading, I will take that chances against gambling.
599  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency is a Threat and BTC leads on: October 19, 2023, 10:17:14 AM

The EU and some government believe that cryptocurrency have no Intrinsic value and that you should be prepared to lose all your money if you buy cryptos. The head of the bank of England have taken this stance some months ago. In-fact, Bit Coin is highly restricted if not ban in Russia, China, Algeria, Bolivia, Nigeria, Bangladesh and many countries that are left wing. Whether directly or indirectly these countries have stood as Anti-Crypto.

My question is are they trying to protect their citizens or what?
Scams and hacks, we have heard a lot of people losing their hard earned money from scammers and cyber criminals. And then there are those who hide behind crypto, from drug dealers to even terrorists. Although this has been debunk by some data already that they are not using crypto or at least it was just a small percentage as it is cumbersome for them. They still prefer the old method of having cash and fiat.

And with that, there are governments though, afraid to give freedom to get people. This is some of the most authoritative government around the world, because they are afraid that it's very difficult to control them once they earn profits from crypto. And then also capital plight, they want to have their money to flow in their economy inside their country.
