781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 01, 2023, 04:07:54 AM
Most probably yeah! Giannis already expressed that he wants to be on a team that could give him additional rings and he will not be staying with the Bucks if he couldn't win one anymore. So, the Warriors will be a perfect spot for him in his free agency. NBA fans are actually looking forward to this and the Bucks not gonna be the same anymore if Giannis leave, well not unless if they can make a significant improvement with the team next season.
Giannis Antetokounmpo is popular in NBA game after he leaded the Bucks to Championship finals wining and around the globe. He's popularly known as the Greek Freak in the game. Milwaukee Bucks should do everything within their reach to retained the top-notch player in the club, because it would be hugh loss if he moves out. Giannis only wants titles and winning rings would be the appropriate credits he deserved, furthermore the team should signed more important players that will aides in enhancing and strengthening the club interms of performance on the court.
Of course, the Bucks management will have to do everything in their power to retain the services of the Bucks. Giannis becoming the face of the franchise and even winning a NBA ring for them after a long drought.

But if he chooses to go and take another route, then they can't do anything about the Greek Freak. That's why this season is a must for the Bucks to at least go to the finals because this could be the last year of Giannis if I'm not mistaken, so whether he extends or signs a new contract? We will have to see then.

What more can they do? Despite awarding him a max contract, Giannis still remains unwilling to extend his tenure with the team. In my opinion, it's not solely about the money for Giannis at this point; rather, it's the opportunity to secure another championship. He aims to solidify his legacy in the NBA while he's still young. I believe that the offerings the Bucks can provide Giannis can also be matched by other teams he might consider joining. Given that Giannis is currently in his prime and virtually unstoppable, his desired benefits are attainable elsewhere.

While not the most vocal player, Giannis has now expressed his inclination to part ways with the Bucks for the first time. This suggests that his statement holds genuine weight.
What's scary though is his statement that he doesn't want to stay on a team in 20 years and then it doesn't win championship. Which means for him, it's the ring that is important and not loyalty, unfortunately.

And we all know where he is coming, we understand it, specially on how they were defeated by the Miami Heat. And he feels that something needs to be done or they could have won that playoffs. And it was a rude awakening for him, that he will have to find other teams in the future if he wants more ring in his finger.
782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Behaviours of gamblers you dislike. on: September 01, 2023, 03:50:47 AM
What is the one behaviour you noticed in a gambler and  you dislike it? You don't need to have a reason for disliking it but you just do.

As for me I dislike when gamblers complain of their losses, meanwhile you hear them complain when they are getting winnings.

What about you, what do you dislike ?
Blaming someone when they lost. Like if you are playing slots in a traditional land base casinos and then by accident you are sitting beside someone who got a bonus unfortunately he didn't get a huge payout. And then they are going to complain that they have bad luck because the one sitting beside them has some bad omen.

Of course, we will hear them whine and complain and everything but didn't understand that everything is based on your luck. Also some gamblers who just show or flash their winnings, but you will never hear anything when they have a big lost the previous days and that his current winnings might just be break even for him. But still he feels like he has won big that day.
783  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Importance of Gambling to the society on: September 01, 2023, 03:38:33 AM
What is the benefits of gambling to your society?
I think we can give example to Macau, one of the biggest gambling destination if not the biggest and it's located in Southeast Asia. So if we look at the numbers, their gambling industry contributed 50% of Macau's GDP, and accounted for more than one-third of employment.

https://www.thinkchina.sg/can-macaus-economy-move-beyond-gambling-and-gaming-industry

So somewhat it become a tourist spot, jobs are created thru their gambling industry, and obviously, they are making a lot of money to the tune of billions of dollars annually. And with that, we can say that gambling per se has benefited their society. As I have said, there are jobs, economy are booming and then becoming the only source for economic funds.
784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has your Responsible Gambling had any of these Effects on You? on: September 01, 2023, 03:26:12 AM
When I hear mental health and gambling, I can only think of as you are just having some fun while playing. However, if you are too stressed in your life and then uses gambling as a form of entertainment to escape the reality? It might not be good in the long run. Definitely you can become an addict, but if you have self-control and be responsible, then the effects is that you are going to lose money.

And if you can afford that, then I do not think that it will have a negative impact on your side. You can still have the time to mingle and be with your family and at the same time have your on me time to gamble whether with friends in traditional based casinos or online playing at your home.
785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - Nov 15 on: September 01, 2023, 03:00:42 AM
Looks like Jerwin Ancajas by decision is the majority vote with over 52%, including my very own vote. But I while think its reasonable to believe this, I would love to know everyone else's opinion on why exactly they think a Jewin Ancajas by KO is much less likely. Is it because Takuma Inoue has only known to have been KO'd only once in his career, by Nordine Oubaali? Or is it because he has only lost once? Huh

Sure Takuma might be tough but a punch from Jerwin is no joke. I think the chance of a KO should be higher than the polls are currently reflecting. Not as high as a by decision but still quite much higher.

I think it's because Ancajas is more careful now, he is not so aggressive, he fight smartly to be able to comeback being a champion. Personally, I believe that he will win, but this fight is more like very technical as both wants to win. As per record, Ancajas is more experience with 34 fights while
Takuma Inoue only has 18 fights, and also Inoue's KO rate is very low as he only have 4 KO wins from 18 fights, which is very opposite to his brother, so no doubt Ancajas will get this win.
I guess before maybe Jerwin thought that he can just go and fight and beat everyone with his knockout power. And with his 2 losses, he could have learn from it the hard way that he needs to be very careful now specially that this is a new weight class for him.

But we really can't take it away from him when he was the previous champion at 115 lbs as he had defended it multiple times. And hopefully, his power will carry to this new weight class and could still be a new champion.

Here is the latest win by Ancajas and be the judge if he can win against Takuma Inoue or not based on his last performance.

786  Economy / Speculation / Re: The price of bitcoin is not rising soon!. on: August 31, 2023, 11:48:34 AM
Anything too fast is also good, so we have to adjust accordingly, but with this situation, I think the market will be better at the end of the year.

And if it's a good prediction, honestly it's still very good to take the positives from the price that's going on right now in the market, Bitcoin is under $30k which is where we can stack up during this time, and using year-end predictions to no avail wrong, so maybe it's possible we'll see it later this year, whether for good or otherwise.
Holding bitcoin is a no-brainer, the price is still below $30k and this is a bargain.
I'm afraid next year we may not see prices below $30k again, so this will be a good opportunity to start entering gradually.

There are many reasons why next year could be different from now.
Of course, the halving will happen soon and the volume will increase even more.

ATH will be reached when the next bull run arrives.
This is everyone's hope and will certainly be a profit field for those who buy and hold from now on.
Exactly, although I have a feeling that at least at the end of the year, the price is still going to be very cheap and could consider be a bargain for us. But after that when we approach near halving, or the halving month, we might see some good price movement.

And then after months into the halving year, we will slowly see the price growing and in 2024 we might see $50k or even higher. Will continue to have a good bullish year and then the all time high. So this is still a very good chance to save and accumulate.

788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: August 31, 2023, 11:19:43 AM
Following Japan, another Asian team secured their first victory in the FIBA World Cup.

China outplays Angola to nail 1st FIBA World Cup win

Quote
MANILA, Philippines -- China used a furious second half to pull away from a Jekyll-and-Hyde Angola team as they notched their first win in the FIBA World Cup, 83-76, Thursday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

With this, they are the second Asian country to win a game at the basketball meet.

Congratulations to China for defeating Angola. Now, I have doubts about whether the Philippines can truly win against South Sudan tonight, considering that South Sudan defeated China by a significant margin, and yet China managed to beat Angola—a team that had previously defeated the Philippines.
If they stick with their same strategy, Jordan Clarkson having the ball all the time look to score or shot then I doubt that the Philippines can beat a taller South Sudan players.

And then there are the boos from the crowd for Coach Chot Reyes, for sure he and the players are going to be affected negatively when they here the host country, booing their own coach, Lol.
789  Economy / Gambling / Re: I have solved the problem of complexity in provably fair games on: August 31, 2023, 03:44:39 AM
The primary motivation behind my application for this role stems from my unique approach to implementing provably fair games. Unlike current methods, my approach significantly simplifies the implementation process. This results in a game system that requires minimal cryptography understanding from players, almost no coding skills, and only a brief time to comprehend and verify game outcomes. This approach can be applied to most provably fair games at this stage.

If a casino is working with a system they built, which is trusted enough to operate and is not questioned by its user base, they will likely keep the system that they have. While your initiative is great, it's unrealistic to think that current casinos will opt for the service.

I think that your best route is to work with a developer to build a casino software, using your skills for the provably fair system. You might be a bit more successful in the long term this way.

They’re also trusting the slots right… It has been though undeniably proven that A TON of cheating happens on slots, including cheating streamers who play quite a lot and have statistical proof. You just don’t know if they’re trusting the system or being stupid. Sometimes people do stupid things but then stop doing it.

I offer a great product. I believe that if my application is taken seriously I should get some feeback, which I haven’t.

On the other hand, I explain above why opening my own casino is not good idea. It’s like revealing my system for free while taking huge risks. An already established casino will benefit much more by going first on this.
I do agree, slots is one of the worst if not the worst games that we should play. Me too, fall for this trick, so I just played slots for fun and not put a lot of money on it because the odds for me to win are extremely slim.

Regarding your product though, it's all about how you pitch it to casinos. Why not just start to look at their official twitter account and reach for them though? At least in that case, you can control and not just wait for them to read your post here, just saying.
790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is exchange based tokens worth for hold? on: August 31, 2023, 03:32:26 AM
As an investor, i bought so many exchange based tokens! Bnb, uniswap, kucoin (kcs), cake, houbi (ht),  FTP and so on. Undoubtedly those exchangers are so big and reputable. I though those altcoins will pump if exchange get larger during time and if exchange add more pair with their altcoin on their platform, then price will boom but most of those are like shitcoin, dumped 70-80℅ in long run except bnb. So what do you think? I'm no longer going to invest any exchange coin anymore!
Sorry bro, for me, it's not worth it. Perhaps when the trend started by BNB took off, everyone thought that it will be the biggest hype. But as we all know in crypto, only the prime movers will remain strong and that's what happen to them, they are still in the top 5 of crypto market.

But as others you mentioned, they are either dead or the price is not moving at all. Maybe one benefit is that if you used that exchange and then you can save a lot from using their native token. But as far as investors and holding them? Nah, I wouldn't recommend that.
791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: August 30, 2023, 08:04:47 PM
Prior to picking Oguni, there were two or three ranked fighters who challenged Casimero. One of them is former 118 champion Luis Nery who is ranked WBC #1, WBO #2, and IBF #7. Casimero at the moment is ranked WBO #3 and WBC #8. Maybe Casimero's team thinks that this type of fight deserves a belt which makes this a high risk with low reward. Besides, Nery is banned in Japan after being caught using illegal substances. And I doubt Casimero agrees to travel to Mexico which is also very risky IMO.

I think that's the other way around where instead, the Casimero camp is challenging Luis Nery but the latter camp didn't have an interest.

Anyway, doesn't matter anymore as Casimero just needs to take down all opponents on his way. After that, we should see a bright light on his career by having a shot to face Naoya Inoue at the WBO title or unification, if possible, if the monster wins against his counterpart champion, Tapales.

In the past Johnreil Casimero indeed talked many times about fighting Luis Nery of how he beats the Mexican. I guess nobody is ducking between them and they just went separate ways. Also, Nery was already at 122 when Casimero was still fighting at 118 as the WBO champion. Now it's just talks about challenging each other since both of them have no belts so they also know that it may not be worth it. Both fighters were also the ones mentioned as Inoue's targets in his title defense. So the real target is Inoue for the belts and the money. Nery might have a better chance of getting Inoue first since he can be named as the WBC mandatory but he is banned in Japan which means Casimero might get Inoue first. But maybe Casimero and Nery will finally fight each other down the line but for now, they need to take a belt first.

Nery has a higher ranking than Casimero, so it's likely that he will become a mandatory challenger. However, as you mentioned, he is banned in Japan, where the fight would likely take place since Inoue is the champion. Hence, this scenario is unlikely to occur.

For those unaware of why Nery was banned in Japan, you can read the article below:
https://www.ringtv.com/530936-japan-boxing-commission-bans-luis-nery-life/

Regarding the situation, it might be wiser for Casimero to face Nery first. If he wins, he could then potentially go up against Inoue, even if he isn't a mandatory challenger yet. The question remains: would Inoue accept that challenge?
And that is what we are calling, a fight between two explosive fighters in Neri and Casimero, however, it seems that this might not materialized as Casimero will face another Japanese fighter. But his fight with Oguni is being viewed my many as a 'warm-up' fight.

Win-win though for either Nery and Casimero if they class, winner getting Inoue, that is if Inoue remains at super bantamweight as once he beat Tapales and unify the belts again, he might go up at 126 lbs and chance a belt. Another question is, will Inoue remain at 122 lbs if ever he had unified the belt?
792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK sponsored by Utopia on: August 30, 2023, 12:32:21 PM
The cowardly Fury is so stupid that in the stream of his boasting he told the pure truth:

"If he (Usyk) beat me it’s like ‘Oh my god, he beat the mammoth who no one couldn’t be beat!’ I’m not going to give somebody the opportunity to gain that. Hell no."
https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/boxing/tyson-fury-boxing-fight-news-30820007

I wrote about it in this thread, and now stupid Fury has confirmed it, although such an admission is rather shameful. So, exhibition fights, circus performances, fights with bums are ahead of us, but not boxing performed by Fury.
I think you cut the better part of the statement,

Quote
It would probably be a better fight if Usyk and AJ fought me both together, like a tag-team. Just keep switching between rounds. I’d actually batter them both on the same night, that’s how easy they are.”

So not sure if we would to take that statement seriously though, I mean it's obvious that he just wanted some media attention because everything is on Usyk right now as he won over Dubois. And as you have said, it's just pure boast on his side, nothing else.
793  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you go about realizing gains? If you opt not to, what is your reason? on: August 30, 2023, 12:17:59 PM
We're currently experiencing a bear market phase. How do you intend to secure profits once the market undergoes a turnaround? What proves to be the most formidable obstacle in executing this strategy? If your intention isn't to convert profits back to fiat, kindly explain your philosophy regarding this choice. Newbies in this platform like me could gain insight from your past experiences.
Personally, I will go for the long term. Wait for the bull market and see how it goes for me. Others might see the bear market as enemies, on the contrary, it's our friend, why? because during the bear market, it's where we collect and save and accumulate bitcoin because they are quite cheap.

So there goes my advise, just keep on going, your goal should be long term and not short term profits. If you can do DCA then do it, or if you have capital, then buy as money as you can and save it in a wallet that you have control of.
794  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is not going to $12k. on: August 30, 2023, 12:05:08 PM
I was thinking it was going to be around $25k-$26k before the end of this month because it wasn't showing any sign of bumping but as of 2 days back it began to go up, just yesterday we saw how fast it went from $26k-$27k in 2-3hrs I suppose.
I haven't seen it move so fast, with all these happening it got me believe that it won't remain at $25k till the end of the month and it will never get close to $20k talkless of going down to $12k. And today's going to be another bump, who knows it might even get to $30k.

Fast up, of course, fast down, well, Sundays usually go down if I notice there is a lot of BTC selling, even with small amounts in the market during that time. but, I think it's reasonable. Yes. today's increase could be a healthy sign for the market going forward and up again BTC price to $50K if possible.
Usually though, in weekends, gambler sell some to enjoy their profits end of the week. But what a break we have right now, and so with that, we are back again to $27k++ and there's no going down to $20K or even $12k.

So this is what you describe, fast up, fast down, but there are wise investors who knows how to take advantage of that situation and perhaps have bought a lot of bitcoin during the decline to $25k. But now, it's pure profit for them and this could be a sign that in the last quarter, possible to hit $50k or higher.
795  Economy / Speculation / Re: take advantage of opportunities on: August 29, 2023, 09:39:09 PM
Under 20 000 is ultimate buy.
I doubt it will drop this low.
23600 approx. is my prediction by TA.
Unfortunately, not going to happen mate, and so hopefully there are still investors who bought it when we are in the $25k'ish because that price range is no longer available for us. The price just zoom above $27k because of the good news about winning a case against the SEC regarding Bitcoin ETF review.

And this is what we are all been saying, that of course we wanted to see the price go down a bit further. But those wait will also go against us in the long run just like what we have seen this month. No one expected it to go down hard to $25k, but then a quick rebound before the end of August.
796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 29, 2023, 09:14:54 PM
Against a team with deadly offensive guards, GSW will be forced to bench CP3. Actually, it is okay to bench him since he is already 38 and will be 40 by the end of his contract. The issue though is that CP3 will be paid $30 million per year which is too high for someone to play 20sh minutes per game, especially during the playoffs if they can qualify.

Anyway, it remains to be seen if this GSW experiment will work. I still value young Poole over CP3 but I understand that GSW needs to let go of him since they prefer Draymond.
Yes, no doubt that Jordan Poole has a good contribution to them when they have a championship run. Nevertheless, last season was very different as Draymond and Poole has a scuffle prior to the season and it set the tone for the Warriors and then they completely collapse after the first round. I thought that the issues has been solved already.

But it seems that it was still very evident as we have seen Poole complaining every time he didn't got the ball and then he was bench by Kerr. As for CP3, maybe a good 10 minutes or even 15 minutes might be good for him as a Warrior as he is no longer at his prime and could also be prone to injury.
I would guess that keeping Draymond is a proof that there is going to be hard time for them going forward. Why is that? Well Poole was the one that got punched, but they still sent him away and did not back him up and just wanted to protect Draymond in that situation.

I can understand the loyalty because he is the guy they won 4 rings with and he is the master at the passing for klay and curry and memorized all the plays and does all the dirty things that others can't do to keep them clean etc etc. But that doesn't mean that other players will not see this and go "well I could be punched there and kicked off" and just not want to go there. I would guess this was a tough decision, they made the wrong one emotionally, but probably the right one by the team.
To be fair, we really don't know if that is the right or wrong decision for the Warriors. But obviously they have a choice and they put their money on the line for Draymond Green, because at the end, maybe the Dunleavy sees the contributions of Green to the Warriors and then Poole still very young and I would say his success put too much on his head.

So we will see if the right decision if the Warriors will go at least in the top 4 of the Western conference with CP3. That is the big question, but for Poole, since he is still young then he should move forward and become one of the best like Curry and Thompson.
797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: August 29, 2023, 09:00:34 PM
This is just a regular fight, I do not think that there is a huge money involved it may be a decent amount at best.

With regards to money, I think he got a bigger amount received now with Treasure Boxing Promotion than with MP Promotion based on how generous he is with his friends and families. In his YouTube vlog, he built a stable on which I think cost a hefty amount then he bought a Ford Ranger for himself, i know he can afford that one but he didn't show/experience it when he was with MP Promotions.

Big name or not, I think Quadro Alas will receive a hefty amount that is stipulated in the contract.
Yes, most likely this is why he sign with the Japanese, and so far they have delivered a good fight and purse for Casimero. And I do agree that he is very active this year, I remember he had one fight in the Philippines and then this one, so it makes 2 fight a year (I forget if he had one earlier this year).

And he needs to be active as well, I mean Casimero is not getting any younger and so very active makes his power and reflex still at par with some of the big punchers at 122 lbs right now.
798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How late is too late to place a bet for a gambler? on: August 29, 2023, 12:35:37 PM
So many leagues and tournaments across the world have resumed preliminary matches of the season, as well as bookies and online bet platforms have rolled up their sleeves in response, to provide the best odds and bet options for its customers.

For so many reasons a bettor or gambler might make a late last minute decision that can either make them win big or lose big or prevent them from losing much bet on games they have played.

In order not to over stretch this topic, I just want us to dialogue candidly on your personal experience as to the one time you were so late in making a bet, but had to do it anyways.
Did that last minute bet make you win or you lost more and regretted the decision?

How late is too late to place a bet or make a wager in both online and offline games and matches?

Are there also good online platforms or betting sites that have good last minute betting options for matches/games?
50/50, I mean I have my bets in the last minute that either win and so I'm happy, and there are bets that completely lose and I regret putting my bets in that manner. But in any case, we all know that it is gambling and so we can't do anything about it.

It's the risk and as I have said, it could either go your way or not, simply as that.

And for sure majority here have experience that late place bet that go either way.

Wait a minute I used to think online is the next generation if your not going online your toast but elon musk just lost funds in Twitter trying to take it fully online. He sacked almost all the employees ,replaced them with bots and now he is trying   to sell it . Don't mistake me I'm not trying to criticise the dude but i don't get why this happened for real his plan was nice trying to reduce cost of work . But what went wrong
Twitter usage is really going down I think the app is more boring . What do you think we all know elon this might be another business Strategy right Undecided
Doesn't matter though, I mean it's his business and he can do what strategy he thinks suit his new company. If he fires a lot of his employees and then give them money, then good for them.

Acquiring Twitter or X right now it's a good gauge how good Elon Musk is as a business. And with so many of his haters, for sure they are all praying that X would lost in the fight with Mark Z. But whatever, lesser of two evils?
800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 28, 2023, 02:49:41 PM
CP3 "was" a top 10 PG, he is no longer there at all and there are plenty of other better point guards right now, the problem is that Kerr may have some problems on the long run if he keeps thinking that he could keep CP3 benched for too long, he is going to be forced to play him and the situation could be decent if curry was a good defender but he is not, he is pure offense type of guy.

What I think he means to do is to get Draymond and CP3 different minutes as much as he can, or even same times for short period of times, and get klay and curry running around and CP3 to find them open, he will be the ball arrier and pass guy, and then find people with open shots. That "may" work, but it is going to be tough to handle.

Against a team with deadly offensive guards, GSW will be forced to bench CP3. Actually, it is okay to bench him since he is already 38 and will be 40 by the end of his contract.
