Great and impressive win by the Clippers, even without PG, they defeated the Warriors. Although Golden State make it close in the 4th, but they didn't have the defense inside as they allow easy shots to Powell.

And Amir Coffey is the star for the Clippers as he made a lot of 3's in the game. Klay Thompson breaking out of his slump in this game, but it was Steph who had a bad game, scoring just 17 points way below his average. Clippers now, winning 6 in a row and I guess Harden feeling good with his new team now. And the criticism has subside a little, as he led with 28 points and and 15 assists.
442  Economy / Speculation / Re: Whats your thought on: December 14, 2023, 11:11:12 AM

That is also quite true in what you said based on existing experience, because I also quite believe in the main bullish season after every four years and this is also very visible from the reality in the market. Now there are indeed many people who are happy with the improving conditions which can be considered bullish at this time because I personally am also quite happy to see this happen at the end of the year so the hope of seeing more recovery in the market will soon become a reality.

A clear Bull run cannot be identified by any investor but if price attain the higher value and exists longer then it is consider as Bull season. As these days bitcoin increased and still it is 41k$ therefore people are more positive about investment in Bitcoin. One cannot predict that how longer the value of bitcoin will remains in upward position therefore bullish period is unknown that on which value it stops to increase more.

Halving is coming so this price Fluctuations is only for correction and everyone tends to accumulate more bitcoin so as the price increase more then they will take benefit from it. If once bitcoin again start to increase then it will cross the number of 45k$ in current year. We have experienced that after every four years there happens surge so four years will be completed in 2024 in which we will see new opportunities to get the best out of our investment.

Although we can say that a full bull run is going to happen right after the block halving, it could be weeks or months right after that activity. But so far though, others consider this great leap that we have since the beginning of the year at least last year when we have a lowest low of $15k.

So for now, all speculations pointed out to a $45k at the end of the year it could be attainable. But it depends on how the speculators are going to do it. They might push it as there are some positive news about the approval of Bitcoin Spot ETF and they might used this one to fuel FOMO before the end of the year.
443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rodriguez Vs Edwards IBF and IBO WORLD FLYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP DEC 16 2023 on: December 14, 2023, 10:34:50 AM
Another good scrap happening this weekend. Not that popular but on paper this is a better fight since this is an IBF-WBO unification duel which is why hardcore boxing fans should be loving this. Also, both are undefeated and it is good that they are willing to unify the belts. Edwards wanted to unify his IBF belt for years now and finally, he got it. Bam just won his second division belt and he is a 2 division champion.

It's good that the fight happens in the state of Arizona so it'll be a neutral ground for both of them. Although Bam an American with Mexican roots will have the audience's support. I'd only seen Bam twice at 115 when he upset Carlos Cuadras and then stopped Srisaket Sor Rungvisai. Those are pretty big names compared to Edwards' resume so I guess Bam should be able to handle this.
Given the two yeah, it was Bam who really become a household name with his Mexican-American roots. And as you have said, those two in his resume is already a good accomplishments for him giving that those are legends in that division already.

Edwards though is not that far away, although when I checked his resume, only Moruti Mthalane stood up as one name that is good.

But in paper this is really good fight and so let's see if it can live up to the hype for hardcore boxing fans.
444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 14, 2023, 09:44:12 AM
Just like Pacman when he fought Barrera for the first time, no one believed that he would win but he shocked the boxing world with that KO win.

But Manny Pacquiao at that time was showing a good winning rate in defending his Super Bantamweight title. His name is already popular and he is considered to have a potential to be a great boxer different from the status of Marlon Tapales today. Naoya Inoue is really on a different level and it's really hard to accept that Tapales has no advantage to anything against him.

Tapales is really up against a beast. I hope that the long preparation to this fight will somehow boost Tapales strength, enough to hurt Inoue's steady defense. But on the other hand, with this long preparation too, Inoue also got an advantage to boost his own advantage too.
Man, how I wish we had the odds back that day when he fought Barrera. I was not yet into gambling at that time or if I did it's just a bet against a friend. The real numbers on gambling sites though, I don't know. I bet Manny was also an underdog at that time.
But you are right bro, Manny was already one of the good fighters before he fought Barrera and this is different.

Marlon Tapales is a technical boxer which means he must avoid all the haymakers that Naoya Inoue will throw or else he will see himself lying on the canvas. But I do like to give my full support for Tapales here and I won't even hesitate to put a bet under his name. Being a Filipino brother is still stronger than being a fan of his opponent.

Inoue all set now, ready for that unification fight with our very own Marlon Tapales.

https://twitter.com/naoyainoue_410

And if by chance Inoue win this and become unified champion again, he will be my fighter of the year.

Although there are a lot of fighters like David Benavidez winning against Plant and then Andrade, and we also have Haney against Loma (controversial), and then winning his first belt at 140 against Regis Prograis, I don't think it will hold against the path that Inoue did for this year, destroying the best champion at 122 lbs in Fulton get's his two belt and then has a chance to unify against Tapales and then becoming 2x undisputed and unified champion at the bantamweight and super bantamweight, that is a big accomplishment.

But this is for another discussion.  Grin
Damn! Scary abs.
He was already the fighter of the year for me when he climbed the mountains in the Bantamweight division. What he did was not an easy feat, and he almost lost to Donaire back then with a bleeding face. He unified those belts with literally blood and sweat.
Just looking at him, I cannot find a weakness. His body is crazy and I bet those are like steel, he also has a tough chin.  Tapales will need to work harder if he badly wants to defeat that dude. If this battle ends in the 12th round, Tapales might be the winner.
And still two weeks from the fight and Inoue already looks very sharp in those images. So there's no underestimating Tapales on their side, they know that it could be another hard fight for them as Marlon has the 2 belts that Inoue wanted to become unified champion again.

Tapales might have a good chance if the fight goes to distance.

Maybe careful spacing in the early rounds will do for him. Used his awkwardness to throw Inoue early and let him adjust to his fight, not the other way away. So even if he has a small chance to win, for sure Tapales will go for it as this is just another fight that he is a big underdog. In his last fight, he won against the huge Akhmadaliev and maybe here he can do it again.
445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 14, 2023, 08:18:31 AM
Called all my games right today. Always a nice thing. Funniest moment of the night definitely went to the Indiana Pacers who stole the game ball after their loss to the Bucks. Giannis wanted to ball to commemorate his 64 point career high scoring performance. Amazing night for him no doubt and he was not happy about the Pacers taking his ball.

Good job and congrats. Me, I lose my bet on the Pacers. I thought they'll have the same performance the last time they met but turns out it was a different outcome this time. Luckily, I was still up as I won most of my bets since most of the high favorites covers, so it's a good day for me, looking forward for another action tomorrow with a profitable ending.
Me I lost my bet on the Suns, I thought that they are going to easily beat the Nets in their homecourt. But two former Suns players, Bridges and Cam Johnson did the job for the Nets.

Although Booker really wanted to get the win, as he is working very hard to go and play defense and then pick and roll for him to score 34 points, there are no bench scoring for the Suns. It was all their big 3.

Going back to the Warriors, might not be the season for them. Draymond is out of control and Steve Kerr can't find the perfect combination.

Nice catch, and then the audacity admitting that they are running a scam here.

447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 13, 2023, 10:37:19 AM
Steve Kerr admitted in the press conference that he cannot find the connection yet. He keeps on rotating his players expecting something good will come out. Well, there are some although what Draymond Green did was just stupid. Stan Van Gundy said he didn't mean it, I doubt that. I am a Warriors fan and yet I don't like how Draymond is behaving. He is exaggerating contacts and it's not cool. That's the third time he was thrown out of the game like a guy who wants to be traded the next time it's available.
The Warriors are already having a bad season, it's time for him to grow up. They were defeated by a Suns team without KD. Ouch!
13 point lead gone in the 3rd quarter. The Suns bench stepped up their game, Metu, Okogi, and Goodwin. And I do love the unselfishness of Booker. He instantly passes the ball whenever the Warriors are pressing him with a double team.
That's what the Suns need especially without a point guard in their midst.
I think it's not the year for the Warriors, unfortunately, and with their aging stars, I doubt that they can compete with the current team right now. There's a lot of young team that really give no respect to the Warriors.

Well they are one of the most dominant teams, but I guess their era and dynasty might be over. Green and Thompson are no longer producing the numbers and basketball IQ that they used to have and I think it's only Steph Curry who are consistent in this season. I do agree that it's hard to find the connection, Kuminga, Wiggins, seems to be off with the current rotation.
448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler takes his own life after a loss. on: December 13, 2023, 09:43:54 AM

Question: Is there any amount lost that can make you commit suicide?

If yes, then don't ever use such amount to gamble.
I think it's not about the amount of money that you have lost in gambling, it's about the burden of losing that money. Who knows, maybe that money is allotted for this future or for his kids and his family. And unfortunately, he failed them by losing that money. And so he felt guilty that the only way to get out is to take his own life.

Yes, it's tragic to hear this kind of news and it's saddened that he might also left a big problem to his family.

So another heart breaking lessons to everyone that we should be gambling responsibly and taking one's life is not the answer to all your problems in life.
449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are slots hard to understand on purpose? on: December 13, 2023, 08:04:47 AM
Slots is quite complicated compared to dice but it's more fun. However, both has a house edge so don't expect gambling it long term as we will never win.

With the growing gambling industry, more games are being introduce but slots is an old game and until now it's still existing. That could only mean that people are loving it and it's not hard to learn if you are interested with playing the game, but always be realistic with your chances as slots are here to entertain us, not a charitable institution to produce money for us.

When we say entertain us, that means we pay to be entertained.
Slots are a very old game and since they still exist today then we can infer they are really popular, and even if I do not particularly like slots it seems I am a minority as if you take the time to look at a psychical casino or an online one you will quickly realize that most of the games being offered are a variation of a slot game, so it is no surprising gamblers think of them as being too complex as each one of the them could be played differently and offer different odds.
They are popular because it's a very easy game to play. Yes, it's very old but once it was created, every gambler has fallen in love for it. And that it evolves in the last 20 years or so, many popular theme game slots are here, even those Hollywood movies, have theme slots as well.

It's not that complex, just the simply multiplier and then you press and roll and see how it goes for you.

However, it's based on pure luck, and probably this is the reason why many gamblers really fall for it as we want to test ourselves if we have the lucky touch and then have a chance to win big and chance our life.
450  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers claim $2 million in Bitcoin after stealing Insomniac game data on: December 13, 2023, 07:48:41 AM
Insomniac Games has been the victim of a cyberattack by the Rhysida hacker group, and is allegedly demanding a ransom with a starting price of 50 bitcoins - worth more than $2 million. While the Rhysida hackers have given Insomniac a week to respond to their demands, the alleged cyber attackers have already started auctioning data to the highest bidder, starting at 50 BTC.

Source= https://decrypt.co/209478/hackers-demand-2-million-in-bitcoin-after-stealing-insomniac-games-data-report
And I even read that Rhysida has leaked some of the info already in their onion site, albeit blurring the information of those individuals that have been compromised. And then some of the Wolverine pics.

So it's going to be very difficult for the company to just pay those hackers though. Because they don't have the bargaining power, and even if they pay the ransom there is no assurance that the hackers are not going to leak the information as well.

And no one deserves his data to be leaked to the public and being used by this cyber criminals.
451  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Biggest risk of P2P trade on: December 12, 2023, 12:21:54 PM
We know alrready how dangerous centralized exchanges can be = not your keys not your coins
But what are your most dangerous risks of P2P trade?
And how can we avoid it?
There are a lot of horror stories already as far as P2P trade, even if you used top tier exchanges, they don't have control of who you are going to trade so that is the risk already. And then if you chooses to trade to someone because they are giving you a good exchange, then think again, that could be scammers. They might say that they have send the money already so you have to released your crypto.

However, before releasing anything, you can to check if indeed they send the money to your wallet, otherwise, you are going to lose if you send your crypto right away.

As to how to avoid it, then pick someone with reputation already, at least with good trade history and again, don't be pressure of sending your crypto if the scammers are insisting to because that's what they are going to do if they smell that you are inexperience to trade.
452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An ode to Satoshi Nakamoto on: December 12, 2023, 11:36:17 AM

And this classic: A poem.

453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Regis Prograis vs Devin Haney (9th of December) on: December 12, 2023, 10:19:48 AM

That would help Haney to make a good payday as Ryan Garcia is very popular, he could help sell the PPV subs just like what he did against Tank Davis. On the other hand, this would also help Garcia back in a championship fight again, and a win here (although unlikely) would make him a champion. So it's a win-win for both fighters if we are looking an some earning opportunity.

Yeah, and probably this is the reason why Garcia is calling Haney right now after that win of Devin. So it's just a matter of time before this two will fight. And I don't think that it's going to be very hard to negotiate. I mean Oscar could easily get down and sit with the Haney's or vice-versa. And then both camps accepting what the split as they don't that there are a big money on the line here. So as you have said, it's a win win situation, Ryan fighting for a belt again, and with his new trainer, he seems to be motivated and all his mental issues is gone. On the other hand, Haney is cementing his legacy, unified the belt at 135 lbs, and now a new champion at 140 lbs and he can do the same here. And I here him saying that he could be the fighter of the year and his dad, trainer of the year.

It will be up to Haney. Ryan doesn't have anything to offer but his popular name. But since Haney is a boring fighter, it might help that his opponent is Ryan Garcia, even if he isn't anymore the King Ryan that the boxing world used to know, to attract fans and make money.
Of course, even if Ryan doesn't have the belt at 140 lbs, he can generate money thru PPV as he has a lot of followers, and it's a low risk high reward for the Haney's. They know that they can defeat Ryan as this point. Although Ryan has won his last fight, and has some changes in style, but I don't think that is enough to give Haney a problem. Haney is improving as we speak.

Ryan is calling everybody even if he's not anymore a star. Haney may take the challenge and probably even win. Ryan is only confident from the outside. Inside, he's a sad, lonely, and fearful little boy.
And that's how Ryan create hype for his name, he call's everyone along his path. Remember even Manny Pacquiao was in his target list before. So if Haney wanted more money or at least get his biggest paycheck he might want to choose Ryan Garcia next.
454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 12, 2023, 09:52:20 AM
Kudos to the strategy of the Los Angeles Lakers they have shown true strategy and determination toward the game like in their game against the New Orleans Pelicans as they have some great strategy and exposed Zion Williamson's lack of movements, and Sure Zions is getting heavy again, and against the In Season Tournament finals against the Indiana Pacers they are double teaming Tyrese Haliburton always and they when he passes the ball they will return into a man to man defense, but for sure they are exposing every team's problem and that is why they have won this tournament,

Well yeah the LA Lakers have shown us what they are really capable of in the defensive end, but the Pelicans and the Pacers aren't really a threat in the playoffs, thus elite teams already had an idea about the Lakers defense. Now everyone knows the Lakers can lock down 1 to 2 player but it would be a different story if the other 3 can play and can creat their own shots, because the double team will create an opportunity for the opponent to have a wide open shot just like what they did to Myles Turner and Obi Toppins.
The Lakers might be a difficult team to beat in the playoffs if they are consistent and efficient offensively.
It's also Anthony Davis night, not sure what he has eaten, but he shows his best two way this year, score points and grab many rebounds and put Myles Turner in foul trouble. And then the crew get into the groove so we should congrats them.

As for the games last night, I think it was a good game for bettors as most of the favorite have won the game and covering the spread and there was no upset whatsoever. Nuggets, Sixers, Pacers and Nets win with a good lead.
455  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you regret also for ever knowing about gambling? on: December 12, 2023, 06:30:52 AM
Most people tend to have a mindset of blaming and seeking some reason for their losses, few admit that it's their own fault. And your friend is also a case in point. If they succeed or win big, it's because of their talent. But if they lose, they'll blame external factors. Sounds illogical, doesn't it? Yet, it's a common occurrence, and to some extent, we've all been there, haven't we?

To be honest, there were times when I deeply regretted getting into gambling or the market I was pursuing, which is crypto. Those were moments when I had to endure significant losses. But after all, I feel grateful because it helped me grow, realize more, and acquire new financial knowledge that I wouldn't have thought about if I hadn't been involved. There's a saying that resonates with me: "No success comes without pain." Regret is inevitable in a long journey, but if we persevere, not giving up, at some point, we'll realize that we've gained more than we lost.
And I think that's normal for people though, they will have to point out fingers on how their life turn into because someone has teach them gambling early when they are young. But nevertheless, you also have to look on the what if. So for me there should not be any regrets whatsoever in life.

What we learn what we go into our life, it's part of whether we grow up as a individual.

And the what if he win big in gambling? So is he going to blame anyone around him as well? I don't think so.
456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one you are good at? on: December 11, 2023, 07:02:01 AM
Hello! I'd like to pose a question to my fellow gamblers here. Since the topic of sports betting has been gaining attention recently, allow me to ask:

So, the question is... Which are you better at: selecting the right bet or managing your bankroll?

And, how has it been going so far? Are you profitable or not, and why?
I think that the most gamblers are looking at their bankroll because once you deposit, you know that you have put a big risk on your capital that you are going to lose your money already. So for me, it should be selecting the right bet, no question about it.

We don't worry about our bankroll, and as long as we bet and win some, we can extend that bankroll as long as we can. Of course, there are also the element of luck here, and that we might not last with that bankroll. But at least you have control of what you bet and what you deem can make you more money then go for it. Instead of looking at your capital and that might put more pressure on you to make the correct bet.
457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are slots hard to understand on purpose? on: December 09, 2023, 02:51:13 AM
If anyone has gotten used to gambling through crypto casinos, it's likely that they've become accustomed to games like dice. With dice everything is crystal clear: You know your winning odds and how much you are going to win if you roll within your target.
However with slots, you never know your win chance. You don't know what increasing your wager or coins does to winning chances and it's generally all so opaque.

Instead of winning chances there's terms like volatility and RTP,  which make little sense unless to the individual gambler. Honestly dice was complicated enough, slots are just too much. Makes me think that it could be on purpose. Players of slots seem to be unlikely to look into these details due to how complicated it is.

Has that been your experience too?
In the beginning though I don't know about anything on RTP and volatility of what the slot machine that I'm going to play. I just "believed" that the bigger my bet the better chance of me hitting the bonus play or good combination with wildcards and seeing the screen going on what we call "shower".

Sooner that I learn about what is the meaning of RTP. I still play slot games though, but not that much unlike before. I just pay them to have some fun and entertainment and I don't max bet anymore. Just maybe $100 or less in one machine and see how my luck goes and that's it.
458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Regis Prograis vs Devin Haney (9th of December) on: December 08, 2023, 12:21:30 PM
And tomorrow night will be the final weigh-in, hopefully I can get to watch it live too (timezone difference). But yeah, Bill Haney is running his mouth and both camps are really disrespectful against each other and for sure fans are hype.

And if I'm not mistaken, tickets is sold out expect maybe those upfront and those expensive tickets.

Hopefully both can really bring their A-game here and they can back up their talks pre-fight.
459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 08, 2023, 09:29:45 AM
Have read that there is a rumor that has it, Canelo will be fighting Bivol in a rematch this May and it will be held in the 168-pound division. But the catch here is neither boxer would reach the 178 lbs come fight night, for me this is the same as the rehydration clause that Team Canelo is master of doing on their opponents.

What's your though on this guys, do Bivol would take the bait?
For the money? maybe Bivol and his camp will take this bait, however, you have to look at how the fans and boxing analyst will look at it,

a. Bivol is going down to a weight that he hasn't fought
b. Canelo is obviously negating what Bivol advantage has
c. Fans wanted Canelo to fight the young Mexican David Benavidez

For me, this is just money fight for Canelo. He should go with c, here, fight Benavidez, give him his due and then cemented his legacy by defeating him.
460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do not gamble with Loan Money~otherwise you will be in danger like me on: December 08, 2023, 08:45:23 AM
Sometimes we become blind for a moment when faced with our biggest enemy, namely greed when gambling, the average gambler has experienced this, and I have too. We become like hypocrites because on the one hand we give advice not to take gambling seriously, but we gamble without thinking about the impact in the future. But what can we do, the rice has become porridge, we cannot turn back time and we can only deal with the problem as best we can. I hope the best for you.
Yes, and I also think that as gamblers, we wanted to take that risk with the money that we loan. I have done  this several times though, not that huge amount maybe just around $100, borrow from someone with interest and then I will just go play it online or even in traditional based casino.

And as the risk goes, sometimes I will win, but majority I will just ended up losing everything and when I thought I have the money already to repay and then win some. But sometimes greed takes over, so instead of the money that I should have won that night, I ended up with nothing.
