521  Economy / Gambling / Re: Watching Our Kids From Something That Could Dangerous To Them on: April 15, 2022, 04:40:59 PM
The fact is we have to teach the kids about all these things avoiding them or even not allowing them to touch these games would work negatively since they would be more eager so as why are they not allowed to which would work worse for them since reverse psychology can be unintentionally done by parents as well. Therefore I think it's wise to actually tell them about the pros and cons and monitor them as well this would help them long term and make sure that they can talk with you about anything helping them if you see them loosing a pace and you can always use parental lock, lock the sites and at the same time you can also lock internet after a certain time as well. Also long term usage of phones should be avoided as well.
522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Privacy concern for bitcoin users on: April 15, 2022, 04:07:37 PM
This is not exchange, it's the government that is demanding a lot of these things to be fulfilled which does Mean that if the sites wants to function then it has to actually Try and keep up with everything that there is going on, which does mean that for them it's a *necessity*  to do so, we cannot fault them for this. It's the inherit need of the government for total control and domination of the markets.
Every single site does require the same information now a days you can always look for other places like samourai wallet if you are not sure about going in for a place needing the kyc and there are still other options that you can use for sure like : paper wallets etc. If you wanna stay afar from the sights of the government then that's the way to go.
523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: April 15, 2022, 01:40:07 PM
FIFA World cup 2022 will be interesting. It will be like a thug of war. Just that my favourite club, Nigerian
Super Eagle has been nocked out in the Qatar qualifiers stage. But i am still hoping to support another club (Country) in the tournament. Preferably, African club, but what I am afraid of is the referees. World cup referees are not friendly with the African Teams. That not withstanding, fair play can bring out the best in the world cup. European clubs, Asian clubs and African clubs are my prediction to win the world cup.

On your own prediction, whom do you think will win the tournament and carry the Golden Cup? Remember every country's plan is to win the world cup tournament but not every team will win and the three (3) best will be selected. And that should be:

1st winner
2nd winner and
3rd Winner.

Say your mind.
My prediction for qatar world cup is as follows:
Third place - Belgium - arguably one of the strongest teams with a number of world class players and a full squad, reaching the semis a number of times recently
Second place - England - is it finally coming home? Maybe but with a squad full to the brim with stars, the only knock will be if southgate chooses correctly, and obviously lots of penalty practise
Winners- France. Last world cup winners and a squad where players perform better than at club level, not in the strongest form at the moment, but they have the quality and experience to win the whole thing. Plus I think the players can handle the heat ha
524  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: About the need to end anonymity in cryptocurrencies due to the scams. Coinbase. on: April 15, 2022, 01:09:04 PM
There are so many reasons so as why someone might want to have a personalized bank balance but they cannot. It's not that simple. Hackers and such people definately do hide their identity but we have to understand that since the invention of bitcoins it have never been anonymous at all. It's very easy to track Bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies and most of the times you would be needing your documents as well to make a wallet therefore these regulations have already taken that credibility out.
I think coinbase is just heading to the commands of the governmental bodies, many people have time and again tried to hide their financial situation and to evade the taxes using Bitcoins and that's something which is a concerning situation for some.
Being anonymous does not mean you are a criminal!! Not everyone is safe dancing with their assets out in the hand and letting their family know about them as well.
525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: April 14, 2022, 05:48:00 PM
That is if Ben Simmons can have his most awaited debut in the Nets uniform this playoffs because that's their only chance to defeat the other teams in the league, I mean yes they can be so dangerous in the offensive but on the defensive side they are really weak and maybe Ben Simmons can cover that struggle for them.

I agree that Ben Simmons is one of the best defensive players in the league but he never had a chance yet to play in actual with his Nets teammates.

Not saying there will be a problem like chemistry issues but being new to the team's rotation needs some adjustment.

But I'm just speculating here and I might be wrong. Although that is something that needs to be reconsidered when picking a team to win an NBA outrights. Putting a bet on who's the team will be the champion this season is a tough and difficult question to answer.

I wouldn't say hes one of the best and i don't think any analyst has said he is an elite defender. He's is 6.9 and is great passer of the ball, so of course if he makes a steal or a block it will look like he is defensive force because his offense is so limited. But when it comes to playoffs, sure he's a nice player and i think he will add some value to the team. Not that Kyrie and Kevin need it at the moment, but i want to see more playing time given to paddy mills. Now he is smart defender and for his size he reads the game exceptionally well, a little inconsistant at times on offense, but as we have seen in the regular season, when given the minutes, he plays at an all star level. I had always thought the chemistry might be off for the nets come this post season, doubt the likes of Simmons will help with it.

527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: April 14, 2022, 04:45:48 PM
I love what Pep Guardiola did with the formation, he also parked the bus, if all the teams start to play like athletico in the first football will be of the most boring sport,  that first leg from ATM wasn't football no matter how you want to paint it, teams that set up that way should be made to forfeit the match and the opposing team given 3 pts and 3 goals
In this Leg 2 match, Atletico Madrid played better and very much different from what they did in this Leg 1 match.
Atlético Madrid's performance was beyond expectations, many thought they would lose again due to a bad match in the 1st leg but they did something different in this match, they played very well even though there were no goals scored.
although Atletico did not qualify for the semifinals but I appreciate their struggle and they gave a very good game in this second leg.

Atletico Madrid didnt deserve in any minut of both games to go in to the next round. They defended 170/180 minutes of both matches . They started attacking in last 10 minutes of second match and wanted to win the match, this is not how football works no matter who the opponent is you just cannot defend always and not do anything in attack. Man City deserved to win and i hope to see them honestly in the final of UCL.
10 minutes? They controlled the whole second half of football in Madrid. Tbf if athletico didn't play so defensive and you know, gamble a match, by having attacking football and spreading the pitch. Sure, they may lose and it was clear their passing capabilities are not world class level, but they would have more chance of scoring as well as playing more exciting football. Unlike Benfica, i think athletico will add to their team and not lose star players next season. Instead of being cautious, they have to let the run of of play happen, plus being in the capital of Spain it's not like they can't attract top prospects to the team. I look forward to them next season. City v Madrid though, i think we will see if man City can overcome this obsticle, doubt they will. Then a Liverpool Madrid final. Love the champions league.
528  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat, CBDCs, all of these are enemies, your only friend is Crypto! on: April 14, 2022, 03:57:33 PM
Some people don't have that option since the government cuts off all their supplies and forces them to use CBDC's - this would be a future statement definitely because we are seeing a trend where the government is trying to do the exact same thing.
People would go wherever they get the profits from which means that it can be CBDC's or just stable coins. But considering bitcoins and Altcoins they definately are the ones which would be able to provide you with economic stability and freedom as well since considering the situation right now it looks like the whole world is going to collapse and we are getting far too closer to WW2.
There is a long line of Government taking the privacy out of the cryptocurrencies as well since they are always trying to add the documents and connect it all with your bank accounts.
529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: High Rollers on: April 14, 2022, 01:09:58 PM
If I had that much money to spend on Gambling 23 BTC? I would literally complete my education and buy a house for my family. I am sure whosoever is that person, he is exceptionally stable and therefore can afford to do that. At the same time I did make a 20$ or more wager ofc, considering all or none sometimes to see if I would win, unfortunately didn't happen till now, therefore for me this strategy didn't work.
I do think that is genuinely a waste of 23 btc, not kidding. Like for real, I support gambling but at the same time maybe, use that 22 BTC somewhere else but then again I know nothing about this guy's family situation or anything but in no position to judge but guys don't waste that much money on gambling. It's wonderful as a hobby or something as a stress buster but a hobby must not be that expensive.
530  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia announced a default on foreign obligations!!! on: April 14, 2022, 12:13:35 PM
When Russia has been thrown out of SWIFT system, how they are supposed to pay their debt in USD?? It seems OP has fallen prey of US media manipulation.

Read the actual news here,

https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/russia-will-take-legal-action-if-forced-into-sovereign-debt-default-newspaper-2022-04-10/

Hope it makes sense! Russian government has already made arrangements to repay the debt in Rubble instead of USD. It isn't a default.

How ? Isn't it too simple?? They are just supposed to STOP THE WAR!! They are supposed to stop killing people and do unspeakable things to the females. They are trying to erase Ukraine from the map and at the same time even if they were threatened by the NATO there were many things that could have been done rather than bombing quite a peaceful country.

- They had a choice and they still have a choice and they have to understand that they are just leaning over and Putin just wants to be Hitler 2.0, nothing else.

Russia is dependent for sure but some of the European countries are also dependent on Russia as well, that what makes the whole system functioning in order.

it's not Russia but some company just bragging about that they offered to be paid in roubles, they denied and so now thinking it's a default, not more

They have to understand the terms and conditions, clearly, a default is a default but at the same time how are they able to fund the continuous shelling and at the same time pay off everything that's due ?
531  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are your coins really safe stored in your wallet? on: April 14, 2022, 08:14:45 AM
I do think for me I look at it in two ways:
1. How you personally affect their safety
2. How you choose the wallet
One needs to understand that there are many wallets available and sometimes you do have a basic choice that everyone has to make : offline or online . Everyone knows not to go for the online wallets because they are easy to hack, way easy.
Then comes the matter of : how many coins you own ?? if you do have a lot of coins then you might have to invest in a small hardware wallet to make sure they stay safe. You can always go to the good old paper wallet but chances are if you ever lost some money, you are bound to loose it, for me that's just a physical bitcoin.
Then comes the matter of keys! which everyone rightly says " not your keys, not your coins ". Then again how good is your mobile phone ? Is it virus free? Is it bundled with numerous bugs and unnecessary apps from third parties ?? It's just not a small matter I do think people can go on and on about the safety..
532  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin network will soon become more centralized on: April 13, 2022, 06:31:17 PM
The whole system is way more centralized than the inventor of Bitcoin would have ever thought. If it's not government it's the whales, with almost 50% coins which are being held by them at the same time these highs and lows do make a good volatile market for the trading as well. I do think that you are already aware that any platform for either trading or buying/selling or even storing your coins offline does require require your documents which are generally linked to your bank accounts where you withdraw as well. For me I can only withdraw in the bank which is linked to my wallet which does mean that they have a huge report about each and everyone out there and are definately already steps ahead of making the whole market more centralized.
533  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 13, 2022, 05:51:39 PM
Now that the UFC 273 has passed and has given us a juicy-juicy fight and I really think that the 273 was really an epic event because of what Gilbert Burns and Khamzat Chimaev did, and Khamzat Chimaev don't want the easy route but decided to brawl with Burns, but I think the next event is some kind of OK so here it is,

UFC Fight Night: Luque vs. Muhammad 2

Events fights will surely change and are not yet final the information can be found here WIKI

Wikipedia tends to be a tad late in updating their info.  Use Taplology, it's a more reliable source.  Sports betting sites are a reliable source of roster info too.  Wink  As they should.

https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/events/85814-ufc-fight-night

^  That's the Tapology link for the weekend's event.

At first glance it's another chalky card with low level match ups but there's a couple of underdogs that I like...  Mostly looking forward to the main event and Baeza vs Fialho.  Those two should be good.

Edit:  Typo
Yeah they ran out of money for this event. It is at the apex so the smallest venue i think the ufc has. Tbf the small cage, limited crowd and prospects that need that fight bonus i expect to see some knockouts. Belal will need to steal the show to stay relevant coming of his first loss in the UFC. Some big guys on this card all with wrestling credentials, so I expect to see some stand and bang action in order to make some real money this weekend. Let's go uncle dana

535  Economy / Economics / Re: Official says US seized cryptocurrency ransom paid to Colonial Pipeline hackers on: April 13, 2022, 03:53:37 PM
For me the whole thing is kind of extremely funny considering how the government tried to play cards with the hackers themselves and am sure they least expected it. But I do think we also have to understand that the government have made it so easy to track down such things and to get to the end of it, this was just an example how they could be monitoring you right now. Well am not shocked since when they say that they could be earning from Bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies they started taxing them and to make sure people were easy to track they added all the cards and identification alike and connected them to the bank accounts making it far too easy for the FBI to sit back, enjoy the popcorn while we make our small trades and earn a bit. In my bank and my wallet where I trade sometimes when I have some money saved the tax gets pre- deducted and I get the statement in the end of the month. Funny.
536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: April 13, 2022, 02:25:44 PM
Liverpool is almost in next round, I would call that they are, but looking at what happened in Madrid, maybe Benfica could do some shit as well
City is favored by bookies, but it is with a reason, Atletico does not play good when on pressure to attack, and they will go down tonight

it would be too much to see three La Liga teams in semi-final, looking to two-two between La Liga and Premier

Actually, I don't believe that Benfica will cause too many problems for Liverpool. Liverpool has already got a healthy lead and I do expect them to win in the second leg also regardless of the aggregate score. Liverpool could not get a win against Manchester City in their last match in the English Premier League and I think they will be really determined to win this match.
Atletico Madrid is already behind and I don't expect them to win in the second leg. Don't think they will be able to overcome the odds.
I disagree with you on the city v athletico game. Away from home, only one goal difference and a collaborative team under the leadership of Simone, pep will not take that challenge without consideration. Look at Bayern last night, all the star power in the world was not enough to beat the Spanish side. I think city will win if they create enough chances and space out the pitch, but they have to be cautious and not underestimate their opponent, otherwise it will be an embarrasing exit to the champions league for a team who has yet to win it.
537  Economy / Economics / Re: Sri Lanka defaults on its $51 billion external debt on: April 13, 2022, 02:00:20 PM
What does the world bank and the rich countries expect? Sri Lanka is not honestly in a corner around since they are already struggling with the Pandemic, have anyone seen the news where Sri Lankan Doctors are right now begging the world for supplies since the government is not able to bear with the burden of the pandemic along with the waves of the war as well. The prices are rising and the inflation is making it harder ofcourse.

The government needs to understand that every country has its own plus points for Sri Lanka would be right next to the ocean - they need to facilitate the tourism industry and at the same time the country has to make sure to produce enough food and crops. The government needs to change how they are working at the moment because they are just going downhill.
538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Token Based Casino In Market Aggregator on: April 12, 2022, 05:51:06 PM
I would consider these tokens as not just tokens but also an alternate crypto currency as well since they are quite volatile in the market making their value go up and down quite a lot therefore it would be like holding your own little share in the casino.
But for me personally I do not prefer Altcoins a lot neither tokens as well therefore I usually like to stay with casinos with options with Bitcoins are more varied and have more options as well which inturn makes it better for the holders.
I wonder why there are no available tags yet especially on the "Categories" section on Coingecko and Coinmarketcap for gambling or casino?

Things will be different or there's a chance for market acceptance if Stake.com and Fortunejack two of the leading online casino in the industry decided to launch their own token.
I think they will be more popular in this field and may exceed our expectations but in order to do that they might need to do more research especially on how it will have utility in their platform. I don't doubt they may hire the best considering they are the likes of the whales in the crypto casino industry.

Definitely!
If stake gets its own token am preety sure its value would rise drastically as well since there are things that you cannot find anywhere but on stake and most casinos do limit their services in certain countries but I never had a problem using stake as well.
539  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why no simple service for HODLing Bitcoin? on: April 12, 2022, 05:13:54 PM
Creating a smart contract would mean you would have to give up your freedom of selling anytime. See the things I love about cryptocurrencies is how we don't know what is going to happen and how we cannot predict anything here as well which usually mean that if the price goes to the highest possible point and you are not able to sell at the moment and buy again at a much cheaper one you would actually be in a bad position since HODL is good but holding should also be very intellectual. If you so see some instances where you have a choice to trade just once then you should do it and giving up your freedom for 5 years would definitely be uncalled for. But yes it would have worked in the past definitely but situations are not the same anymore.
540  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which sport interests you!!! on: April 12, 2022, 04:32:44 PM
Considering the sports I started professionally was : Basketball.
The others I used to pay when I was quite young were:
Cricket
Football
Handball
Local sports like kabadi and kho-kho
Some martial arts
Athletics
And a lot more! I was a crazy child and sports did not just provide me a lot of adrenaline rush but I was quite good at it as a child. Alas ! Lol that's where my interest comes from and now it would be fairly sad to consider how due to studies and covid staying and home and doing the desk work is the big norm.
Handball is something that can be seen as a combination of basketball and football but way more fun ! I remember playing it as a child but we did loose the state nationals haha but OP the sports is fun ! Definately.
