1781  Economy / Economics / Re: Fuel prices hitting an eight year high on: September 08, 2022, 09:20:14 PM
It's even uncontrolable in our country. It's the worst economic situation that we're in. Poor people are suffering and others are trying to look for extra jobs because everything is getting unaffordable including imported goods. The oil price hike is being announced each week and it's continuous.
It's also one reason why I'm thinking of looking for another job. Because the budget that I have been allotting for our needs, it's not that much anymore.
Inflation hits too much and one biggest reason is the continuous oil price hike. I wish to see back that $70 per barrel so that things will start to decrease on its prices and with the strong interest rate of the fed, things are making it more expensive.

There might be rollbacks but the hikes are still higher.
Sometimes, I'm like poker face whenever I see these roll backs. But we've got no choice but just to be grateful with that little roll back but soon and maybe after a week or two, they'll make the increase higher and more than the roll back. It hits hard!
1782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tokens/coins with insanely high inflation will not be not profitable ever on: September 08, 2022, 12:02:11 PM
So why the hell do they keep coming back on the markets?
It's because there is a market for them. They won't be back if there's no market for them but due to those investors that are eyeing them and thinking that they can profit from them, they come back. There's no solution for that but the investors will eventually have to turn away from them when it's no longer profitable and for the side of these project makers, they'll just revert the attention of their investors by doing some updates or making a new project that will look interested to the same investors that they've got.
1783  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will be running in your mind if Bitcoin reaches $1000 again on: September 07, 2022, 10:43:35 PM
buy like you never bought before
This is now my mindset. Before, when I read threads like this and there were people asking why I'll do if it drops to rockbottom, I'm too scared but as I've matured on this market.
Understanding that it's a cheap price to buy will make you want to have more because you know that it will recover no matter what happens.
That's what it is and you will only think that hopefully you've got enough money by that time it happens. But let's be real, that's highly unlikely to go into reality.
1784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Who makes such predictions? on: September 07, 2022, 09:47:30 PM
The entirety of cryptocurrency market is running on speculations thus, called a speculative market. Those who are giving their predictions in the future are no doubt holding that asset and they're probably holding a huge bag of it.
They might have the data for what they're predicting but most likely, it's all about what they feel about it. Like if you've invested heavily on those, you've got that feeling that they might grow in the future whether you back it with analysis or not.
When you do have the right experience and awareness of this market then you would really be treating these words as "shills" and it would really be that pretty obvious on some point but there are ones who are

just sharing up simply with their own opinions and sentiment and this is where you should really make yourself that be aware on whether you would really be tying up yourself on believing with those words or would

just simply ignore and stick into your own analysis and prediction. This market is indeed speculative which it would be no surprise that lots of speculations and words
floating around.
Yes, that's the right term for those predictions, shills. While on the other side, when we predict good prices for bitcoin in the future, these max-altcoiners will tell the same thing for us. But it's hard for them to swallow that there's more and a brighter future for bitcoin since they've skipped investing on it. While for some situations, those predictions by high prices, targets and for the next years could just be a bunch of trolls that wants to play the emotions of the supporters of the coin they're predicting.
1785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I won't be buying Eth until the merge is completed things are running fine on: September 07, 2022, 08:39:35 PM
That's ok if it is your preference. No one forces you to buy before or after the merge. It's better be safe as they say and that's what you're trying to do.
Wait until the merge is done and have yourself decide again if you're totally okay with the status of the result and then start buying if you think that it's nice and good or wait until if you think that it's not yet that right and fixed.

1787  Economy / Economics / Re: Working hours | How many are too many? on: September 07, 2022, 06:27:51 PM
Totally, I'm not taking care of my self nor my relationship, certainly an example to be avoided. I hate it that employers treat you like rubbish for pointing out obvious things, to be paid for any overtime you do and for willing to have a personal life.
You should take care of yourself. It's the actual investment that you use and your partner to earn money so it should be the first thing to take care of. Because once you feel some unusual health conditions, it will affect your daily work or worse, you can no longer work because of it.
It really sucks that as an employee, we need to allocate overtime if they dictate to tell it when you're already set an appointment or told your family that you'll go home early. But you can contest those things if you have to and I've seen those people posting it anonymously in reddit that instead of contesting it, they're quitting when they're always treated like that.

1789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: September 06, 2022, 10:52:55 PM
Its going to be either Navi or BetBoom against Outsiders at the finals but either way, Outsiders would have win the game against any of these two. They kinda deserved to win the qualifiers though as things have been going out of their way ever since the Russia declared war against Ukraine, they were banned from some tournaments because of it because they are Russian and VP was owned by a Russian company or something

Its pretty lame that I searched some bookies and they were not offering Outsiders -1.5 against Navi so I decided to take the winner option and parlay it with some other game. Glad that it paid off
Outsiders is now waiting at the grand finals. But Betboom and Navi, all of these three are now good with their secured spots for the last chance qualifier.
I agree with you that Outsiders deserve to get that spot but they're waiting if they'll get the slot for the grand finals. Renaming the team into Outsiders from being VP is actually a good move by its management and that made them still participate from most Valve events despite the issue about Russia-Ukraine war.

1791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Set Of Action When Your Account Face An Issue on: September 05, 2022, 06:11:27 PM
Posting in the forum is like the last action that you can do if all of the options that you have is already gone. But before you post, unlike the others, you shall gather all of the evidence and provide them because if you're going to accuse a casino that didn't allow you to withdraw your money and you're at fault, you're just making a joke for yourself. I have read the same thing but some really are valid concerns that they're not allowed to withdraw due to the fault of the casino and the sad thing, some of those casinos are the ones that we look up to and think that they're one of the most reputable not just in the forum but also in the entire crypto casinos. Talk to them, sometimes it will just take you a couple of hours as they resolve your issue and there's no need to prolong that into thinking you need to post in most forum if you and they are cooperating to each other.
1792  Economy / Economics / Re: Working hours | How many are too many? on: September 03, 2022, 05:03:05 PM
Take care of your health. I used to work more than 100 hours per week because I was younger and I can handle stress and haven't felt any fatigue in my body. Soon, you'll realize that you need to minimize the working hours you do per week because your health should be prioritize.

How many hours/week is the typical in your country?
Nothing has changed, 8-9 hours per day so around 40-48+ hours and you're likely not a good employee if you don't allocate a few free overtime. Yeah, these companies sucks and that's why I quit too early.

How many hours are you actually working and how does a 4 day work week sound?
4 day work week sounds good for me. This will really give employees more family time and in return, they'll do better in productivity.
1793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you play online/offline without your wife or family knowing it? on: September 02, 2022, 09:20:43 AM
Is hiding your gambling from your wife or family a good thing? I don't think so. We're all aware that gambling is a highly addictive behavior, and because of that, I think it's better to be open to wife and family. I have benefited greatly from being honest with my family about my gambling addiction behavior. If you can be honest with your family about your gambling behavior, they can at least help you set limits on your betting.
I believe of the same thing that you've said. It's not a good thing to hide that you've been gambling, this can create trust issues between you and your wife.
But it makes sense to hide it from your family like if you're not yet married and you want to hide that you gamble because you're scared that they'll know it someday.
It will create the idea that you're a gambler and you're not that good in handling finances because that's the taboo by those non-gamblers to the gamblers that they know personally.

1795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "The Lower-Risk Gambling Guidelines" Is this a joke? on: August 30, 2022, 08:59:22 PM
That guideline could be helpful for those that really can't think what to do and they're in the middle of a personal gambling crisis. While we have our own allocation. I think the main logic there is tightening the budget for your bankroll and that's the good that I can get from it.
Although it will still depend on me and I have no metrics that I'm basing from my salary per month or per year. So it's like having a spare money at that very moment and it will be the one that I'll use as my bankroll.
1796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have a doubt about Bitcoin on: August 30, 2022, 12:07:58 PM
Why haven't you looked at many other projects, they're keep on developing and you're only focused on bitcoin? A project has to keep on developing because that's how it must be. If there's no development, there will still be some complaints to be made. I may agree to you that when it's too much, it doesn't look good but that only is what I think if the development isn't attached to its purpose and current status. But as for bitcoin, it isn't really that much of development and it's still good as it was and this is why it has a consensus.
When Bitcoin increases then other projects will also increase, so apart from paying attention to the projects you said, I think Bitcoin is also very important to pay attention to. and the development of Bitcoin was very influential on other projects.
You don't have to think about it because bitcoin is the main attraction in the market. I've just mentioned the other projects because of the upgrades that they do for so many times. As you say about the increase, it's probably the price that you're talking about. It's always like that when bitcoin's price increases, then the rest follows.

it's true that every project will need development and they should grow, and I think the development of Bitcoin will help these projects.
All of them rides to bitcoin because it is famous and most projects are relying on it. This is the reality so whether there will be or there's no development for bitcoin, they'll remain the same as what the other projects do.
1797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Piooner, Hal Finney and Eight Years Remembrance on: August 30, 2022, 10:17:39 AM
It's sort of giving that proud feeling that he's been here in the forum together with satoshi. And now, all of us here are enjoying the early works that he has done for bitcoin and for the community. Although, there would be speculations that he really is the actual satoshi but let's just separate the two personalities that have both changed the lives of many which includes me. Much respect for Hal for being selfless and for contributing a lot to the bitcoin project that has been once being doubted by many. But look at where it is right now, changed millions of lives and still going on.
1798  Economy / Economics / Re: Savings during inflation on: August 30, 2022, 09:04:25 AM
Which is precisely why it is such a bad idea to have your money at a bank at any moment in time, because they are always giving you less money than whatever is the inflation rate at that point, so not only banks are offering you even less money than inflation they are using your money to generate profits for themselves and they give you nothing for it.

And if this was not bad enough it can be quite problematic to get your money out of the bank in an emergency, so if you are wondering why people use banks at all, you're not alone, because I wonder the same as well.
Well, that's the business the bank has. They will use our money and we get less in return for that deposit. And with some news in other countries, they were even have hard time in getting their own money due to policy issues.

Around my environment know about how inflation values when saving money in the bank and some of them buy property assets and gold or silver as their saving how keep away from inflation values than saving in the bank. I think have bigger percentage inflation values when saving money in the bank although we got few percent about achievement or feedback giving by bank. I know when saving in the bank got emergency we can take and withdraw all money cash without any trouble yet, but when saving in some property or other investment way need time for selling and get it become cash money.
Putting their money in the precious metals are a good style and technique. Many millionaires does that but in our time and generation, bitcoin is the key man. It's essential to have an emergency money in the bank when you need some cash but you don't have to deposit all of it and let them use it to earn for their own business of lending and capitalism.
1799  Economy / Economics / Re: Savings during inflation on: August 29, 2022, 10:57:01 PM
It's not worth it to save your money in the bank if the inflation rate is higher than the percentage it gives to the interest rates. It's better to spread it to investments that has a higher percentage than the inflation rate because it will make you deal with the high prices of commodities through it.
I rarely save to the my bank accounts these days but I still try to put as much as I can so that, I treat it as an emergency fund but at most times, I convert it to bitcoin.
1800  Economy / Economics / Re: Do cash control spending more than digital or crypto currency? on: August 29, 2022, 08:00:26 PM
I don't like carrying cash, and I appreciate that digital wallets are safer than keeping cash in a wallet and while some people may be more comfortable with tangible forms of currency, we all carry our phones with us everywhere, so the move to digital currency not really a big jump for most people. In general, I have to side with Bitcoin and I think Bitcoin still has an advantage over cash and credit cards and at the end of the day, the choice is yours.
Me, I like carrying cash but it's also convenient if most of my pocket money are in digital wallet apps. I save not that much anymore in the banks but if you wanna save, that's the best control. It feels like it's a hassle if you're going to withdraw your money trying to look for an ATM so you have to exert effort and allot time for it. So, the banks are really good just for saving but as an investment or earning interest there, you barely get enough. Convenience is with digital wallets and there's no need to choose between it and crypto because you can have both of it at the same time.
