1901  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New to staking - is this worth it? on: July 05, 2022, 10:49:39 PM
Right so I have just bought more VRA so I now have 36500 total (£150 investment).

After the withdrawal fee from Kucoin I will have 35000 to stake.

18.25% is the staking reward and there is no lock up period, I just have to wait 72 hours until I have access to my funds.

Can someone please confirm I have worked this out correctly ..

35000 VRA staked @ 18.25% = 6387.5 VRA per year (122.5 VRA per week).

If i have the above correct then I will get back my Kucoin withdrawal fee in 12 weeks which doesn't sound too bad.

Is this worth doing?
Yes, the calculation you've got is correct. If you're satisfied with that return for that token, then you let it stake there and just take your profits afterward. But, the thing in staking is despite the percentage for your return, the value of that token might go lower or higher. So that's the pros and cons that you have to take before doing it, lucky if the value goes higher.

18% return feels also a bit like the too good to be true story…
On mycointainer.com, they've got a few assets that are higher than 18%. And for other platforms, like pancakeswap, they've got assets for staking that are actually more than 18% APY and can reach more than 100+%.
1902  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BNB price on: July 05, 2022, 09:51:24 PM
It's one of the top in the market and that's why many would like to keep it. Despite that it was really cheap a few years ago, only a few got in at that time.
And when the pump has happened, it's now where everyone is interested of owning it. We will see in the future if the price pumps more, we'll see more people again interested on it.
I just don't understand that when the price is cheaper, only a few talks about it and just comes back whenever it has a well established price again.
There are a lot of BNB investors on this board and overall I do think it is a good chain but there is high risk associated with it because it is tied directly to the exchange and exchanges are facing litigation and regulatory uncertainty now. Binance getting sued by the SEC for example would tank BNB. That's why for the moment, I am invested in FTM and ICP. I will consider moving back into BNB when we have regulatory certainty in the market.
Well, it's not a secret that it's a native token for an exchange. We all know about that and there are a lot of the same token concepts that are being produced by other exchanges. They may be subject to litigation and scrutiny because of the past ICO mania but, I do believe that they'll be able to comply with what will be asked, or if they will be sanctioned, they'll just have to pay for the penalty which they can easily cover because they're currently the biggest crypto exchange. As you've said about its price tank, it's not only BNB that have gone through that, it's the whole market that's experiencing tanking.
1903  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: 🔥✅🚀 [ANN] MyCointainer - Your Ultimate Coin Staking Platform 🔥✅🚀 on: July 04, 2022, 11:37:40 PM
  Just compare:
   January-May 2020 ➝ 9012 registered users
   January-May 2022 ➝ 16421 registered users

Really happy to see this great achievement.
This is actually a significant milestone for you guys. Congratulations. That's almost doubled in 2 years and that's a stable growth than having no increase in the number of users. Btw, a few days ago the website was slow to load. I hope that when there are technical issues like that, you have time to update that on this thread too. I'd like to say good luck to those that will participate in your giveaways too.

The nature of many investors is riding with the pump, they mostly talk about the project when hypes are ongoing,

but like what you just said when the market is down they are less talk about the project but experienced traders are into this coin,
knowing that any time this coin will manage to bounce back, especially when the market inside the whole market start to spark up
and the bull runs back and pumps the market.
They should come and start buying at that rate for them to enjoy the pumps and they won't be stuck. But I guess that strategy is known for most because they enter when they see the activeness of the market and it's better for them to have an entry at that time because they have the idea that the market won't just drop as soon as possible. And that's why they only come in during those times and whether they like it or not, the market has its own ways that we'll never see coming.
1905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Among all which do you hold on: July 03, 2022, 08:29:07 PM
It's a good option if you're always getting burned in trading and choose to stake. Speaking of staking platforms, there are too many of them and it all lies down to the choice of altcoins that you want to stake. In exchanges, if you're going to stake bitcoin, that's not really what it mean is but you're letting them borrowed your bitcoin for them to use it for lending. You both share the interest that the borrower will pay the exchange. And for the choice of staking platforms, based on the list of stakingrewards, mycointainer.com is on the top 7 for staking providers.
That’s true, it’s not really "staking" in that sense. This means that we gotta just realize that bitcoin can't be staked. The name of it being "stake" doesn't even do it justice, it is just a simple situation where it’s you giving your money to someone else to make more money for you. Is this staking? Absolutely not, but if you do it on places such as Binance then it’s going to be quite fine.

Yes, it’s not named right, but they are legit company, and they would be willing to not lose customers and reputation so they will pay you even if they have to do it out of pocket. However, you need to be careful about all the other places and that’s going to hurt you a bit if you pick a wrong place.
They're making it sound like its really staking but bitcoin is no PoS algorithm and that's why it's just like lending them your bitcoin to any platform and exchanges that does that.
If I'm a conservative holder with huge amounts of it, I'll choose to hold it rather than getting into it. Maybe for smaller amounts but not entirely my holdings in bitcoin.
1906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BNB price on: July 02, 2022, 10:02:06 PM
It depends on the bull market, impossible to say in the bear market.1000 $ much more than the bull market and the bear market, so can't be said for sure.We can expect BNB to pump in a very short time.So I keep some BNB on hold.I have now chosen BNB as a way to make more money.BNB is my favorite coin, I think BNB is much less risky than other coins. So I think BNB investment is quite comfortable. The demand of BNB investors is increasing day by day, so many top projects using Bnb chain.

1907  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Among all which do you hold on: July 02, 2022, 09:16:57 AM
otherwise you don't have much time to watch and observe the market it's better to just hold and let your investment grow automatically by staking on a platform you trust.
It's a good option if you're always getting burned in trading and choose to stake. Speaking of staking platforms, there are too many of them and it all lies down to the choice of altcoins that you want to stake. 1908  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: newbie invest on: July 01, 2022, 11:10:59 PM
The most correct choice is to do some kind of staking and liquid pools so as not to miscalculate, you can use some kind of staking aggregators like AnalytEx, there are many projects on which you can stake and you can immediately see APY. So, as an option, doing it in such a market will be better than investing in unfamiliar projects.
There are several platforms where you can stake. Aside from what you've mentioned, depending on the choice of altcoin you want to stake. And it's true that there so much projects just like in mycointainer.com. It has a lot of coins and tokens in support and they're showing how much the reward fee they have and as well as the APY that you'll be receiving upon staking your coin there. For the other options you want, there are more on: www.stakingrewards.com.
1909  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Uncertainty in the NFT market on: June 30, 2022, 11:49:21 PM
Welcome!
There's uncertainty in the whole crypto market right now and it always goes like this whenever we see the market plunges a lot. But the uncertainty is more in the NFT world because most projects there have been riding the hype for the entire crypto market.
If you think that you can't bear the risk that it has then don't invest yet. But if you believe on the NFT project that you're looking out, invest only what you can afford to lose.
1910  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WHY is Terra pumping ? on: June 30, 2022, 10:49:46 PM
This is just a classic pump and dump. Don't get in because you'll never know if you can get out. Just like the usual warning from the investors and traders quote.

It's the common mistake of investors that fail. They're usually carried by those who are hyping the coin though it already lost its potential and reputation. We shouldn't trust the small pump and dump of a weak coin especially those who have negative trust issues. It's better to take risks from high reputable coins.
It's better to avoid them. You don't wanna play your money with them especially to this coin, Terra and USTC and new ones that has been made for it. There's already the problem that has been made with it and you don't need any confirmation just for you to invest. That's all about your decision and better not invest on them anymore. If it has a stain on its reputation, the best thing to do is to avoid it and never trade or invest on it or even think that holding will you save and someday they'll pump, don't think about it.
1911  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRON Breaks the 100 Million Users Mark !!! on: June 29, 2022, 10:30:59 PM
I don't like Tron but congratulations to them. If this is a milestone that they want to celebrate, we'll cut no fun for them.

though that 100M users may not be all active, but still a milestone for Tron. i have nothing against this network because honestly, if you want cheap transaction fees like USDT, you will choose Tron network. a lot of projects may still be using tron network but yes, some of them may have added or switched to new ones like SOL or MATIC. anyway, let us see if the tron team can sustain this momentum and compete with new networks.
Yeah, cheap USDT transactions is one of the best thing on them and that's why despite many don't like them. They're usable and an alternative to save fees.

1913  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does staking even make any sense on: June 29, 2022, 02:39:44 PM
Exactly. Staking is more suitable for whales who have a lot of money to waste. But it's not for the average Joe like you and me. If you have the capital to stake long-term I'd say go for it. Unlike banks, PoS coins give higher returns per year. That entirely depends on the stake rates and current market price of the coin you're investing into.
I agree that the most that will benefit in staking are those with larger funds. But this doesn't mean that it's only limited to them, if you've got spare altcoins that can be staked and you'll just hold it, then it's better to stake it into a platform whom you trust. So while you hold it, you'll be adding quantity on it by just holding it as you stake rather than holding it alone.

Now all the markets falls. Stock market falls, the shares of IT project falls, gold falls too.
And where to invest money in such difficult financial situation?  Huh
Of course bitcoin should be the first on the list. But if you're keen into staking, there are too many platforms out there to choose from. I've actually made a suggestion about it for example, you want to stake ETH.

1. Binance staking - custodial
2. Kraken - custodial
3. Bitcoin Suisse AG - custodial
4. Stake DAO - decentralized
5. StakeWise - decentralized
6. Guarda wallet - decentralized
7. ANKR - decentralized
8. MyCointainer - custodial and to know more about them
9. Cream Finance - custodial
10. Blox Staking - decentralized
1914  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin the only option left on: June 28, 2022, 09:33:38 PM
It's true that it's the best option but to say that it's the only option left, I think it's debatable. Although I don't want to argue with any of them as I'm a bullish person on bitcoin and had some few alts on hold. But with all of my hopes are already on bet for bitcoin and I just did some fun diversification with some altcoins. No need to argue about its security as it's truly secured while some PoW altcoins are transitioning into being a PoS, bitcoin remains at best for being PoW.
1915  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is using 2fa safe in every way on: June 28, 2022, 08:40:47 PM
The same thing happened to me once but I sense I revealed my private key somehow, also the name of the wallet is coinomi, I later learnt that this wallet isn't as secure as trust wallet and other popular crypto wallet in the space, try using more popular crypto wallet and stay away from free offers or airdrops.
If I'm to choose between coinomi and trust wallet, I'll use both of them but will use most of the time Trust wallet. Also, the amount that I'll be putting there won't be that much because that's my first rule when it's about these wallets.
How can sort of revealed your private key somewhere? It's your practice that you've shown your private key to anyone and that shouldn't be done by yours.
1916  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should newbies Invest in new Projects on: June 28, 2022, 12:22:35 PM
Should newbies invest in new projects in the oversaturated market that is in shamble with the bearish trend, you mean? No, absolutely not in this kind of bearish market. The only thing you should do in this time as newbies is try to learn more about the market.
I agree, most newbies are being misled to invest into new projects because they think that they can avoid the effect of the bear market. But they're missing the whole point of the bear market. If it's about the entry, this isn't all about the new projects but all about those great projects that are currently cheap and are having a price decrease due to the market's cycle.

If you have to invest, do with the BTC only when it dips enough to your liking.
They will miss the chance if they don't look at bitcoin as their main prospect to buy for this bear market.
1917  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where should I invest money? on: June 27, 2022, 09:34:20 AM
I read a lot and actively participate in discussions in various chats and forums, and I’ll say right here one correct option, staking for a good APY, and in order to make it easier to search, I use the AnalytEx landing aggregator, it’s very convenient, but as an option you can find another , everyone chooses to their liking, I personally use it because everything is very simple and you can immediately see APY with which you can stake quite easily and profitably, and I started using after their news how much you can earn per day from $1000, I was surprised )
For staking, there are a lot of platforms where you can do that. I haven't seen that analytex on stakingrewards.com, it's a list for various staking platforms. It includes the top 10 providers for ETH, to name a few which has binance, mycointainer, ankr, bloxstaking, kraken.
It also describes whether it's custodial or noncustodial and as well as centralized or decentralized.
1918  Other / Archival / Re: Binance Expands Crypto Adoption on: June 27, 2022, 04:19:29 AM
My binance account was asked again for a "new customer kyc". Despite being verified already, they've implemented that to my account and I think it was just for the status of being "verified plus" and as well as being eligible for the binance card.
I think it's a good development and they really are trying to cover the whole thing and it's exciting to see where they're heading this way. But this is also going to give hot eyes to the regulators.
1919  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sweatcoins will be launching this summer...Is it worth it? on: June 27, 2022, 02:39:19 AM
AFAIK, Sweatcoin isn't really a new token. I think they were already there for the past years and became popular once but after that, they didn't materialized with their popularity. Not until the coins like stepn came that has the same algorithm as them about walking.
I would like to earn while getting some pounds off of me but whether they're going to be worth it to take or not as an incentive, we should really have that routine of getting healthy through any means like walking.
1920  Other / Archival / Re: Are you ready to see Bitcoin at $10 000? on: June 25, 2022, 09:58:27 PM
I don't want to think that $10k would be the bottom but if it's based on historical data and facts of the percentage during the lowest, then we just have to prepare whether it happens or not. There's also the sense that it's totally different this time because no one anticipated that the all time high was $69k before the bull run happens. And when it did, our expectations became that much that the last cycle will make bitcoin $100k before it plummets. So, I'm thinking of the same thing that we're expecting something low as that but it may not happen, hopefully not.
