1  Other / Meta / Re: selling Bitcointalk accounts shouldn't be allowed.. on: June 06, 2016, 07:32:40 PM
The real question is why a topic like this is not closed and merged with the others that are currently active!
Seems to be what is done on other topics in the forum or we driving a optic campaign to make it appear like a issue is more dire?

The flawed thinking is one begots the other when it comes to selling of accounts, signature spam and scamming.

5  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Universal Basic Income on: June 06, 2016, 05:57:55 PM
This seems to be a temporary fix for a pretty big issue coming down the pipes.
I see it as temporary because people will need to find meaning in life and we already have a lot of people that are depressed because of that. You factor in people that are no longer working and the numbers could swell.
I have a neighbor who retired maybe 5 years ago and he always needs to have a project on the go or he goes nuts.
So he powerwashes his damn carport every two weeks, pesters the landscapers, garbage man and any trade that comes through. So those types need work in some form to feel whole.

The one problem I worry about is how this is on the agenda for so many Countries,it makes you pause.
One great way to control the masses is to have them having to fall in line for their pay cheque and that is a troubling thought.

Something needs to be figured out because jobs that usually pulled on the labor side of the workforce are drying up quickly.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Eleven Reasons to Support Basic Income:-

1) Basic Income will help us rethink how & why we work
-That it will
2) Basic Income will contribute to better working conditions
-Not to sure about that one
3) Basic Income will downsize bureaucracy
-Maybe
4) Basic income will make benefit fraud obsolete
-Not sure how they figure this to be,there will be more minds thinking of exploiting it.
5) Basic income will help reducing inequalities
- They will just rise up in different aspects.
6) It will provide a more secure and substantial safety net for all people
- It will make the world safer for government, the every day person gets a pay cheque but must now answer to the man in a more forward fashion.
7) Basic Income will contribute to less working hours and better distribution of jobs
- The solution may create new bottlenecks as well, not sure how they figure there will be better placement.
8 ) Basic Income will reward unpaid contributions
-OK
9) Basic Income will strengthen our Democracy
- Or weaken it,its a bit of a stretch to think there will be no discord.
10) Basic Income is a fair redistribution of technological advancement
- Till something new comes along I guess.
11) Basic Income will end extreme financial poverty
- Guess this is the main selling point for it. We would still need to address addiction and mental health to make this true.

7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I never made any profits in dice game.. whats is your opinion on: June 05, 2016, 06:05:20 PM
The most likely problem is you play to long or chase loses. If you can not fix either of thoses aspects you are best to stay away from dice.
You should have a good enough sample size to know if you have these issues now.
8  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best poker website with webclient? on: June 05, 2016, 06:02:42 PM
Betcoin has worked extensively on building a solid web client.

This account is a shill account for betcoin as he operates a affiliate for them but never mentions it when he makes posts like these.
Its a bit shady to not let people know when you are giving advice that is swayed.

FJ is connected to a site in Argentina so any cash games will be mostly them and some of them frown on having to play people from other countries. But if you can get past that and learn some spanish you should be alright.

Nitro has the smoothest platforum but the rng lets a lot of Ace rag chasers get there on the river. So it rewards bad play, which is a sign that it needs to be looked at.
9  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Forget trans bathrooms! Now you can choose to be a dog on: June 05, 2016, 05:49:46 PM
So many people have lost their ability to think and reason and want to live in pretend worlds. Unfortunately, these people actually get to vote, so I guess their will get one bone free Tongue

Could be argued we live in a pretend world already, before the madness sets in.

Was reading a psychology paper thats main premise was its not a safe idea to show your authentic self to the world.
It was encouraging people to wear a mask in the public settings. So its not that far a leap to start dressing as a fire hydrant hoping
some of these dogs may come and piss on you.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why arnt we seeing more bitcoin ATM popping up? on: June 05, 2016, 05:43:58 PM

From Seeds to Weed, Bitcoin Finds a Home Where Local Commerce Goes Gray
Quote
Bitcoin ATMs were seen as transformative for consumer acquisition of bitcoin when the devices first appeared on the market, but they’ve become less fashionable over the past year because of complicated user experiences and compounding regulatory pressure.

Like most parts of the bitcoin economy’s infrastructure, bitcoin ATMs are evolving, and operators in the industry are looking to identify and correct these issues, while still enabling buyers to access bitcoin conveniently.

Aaron Williams, founder of Coinnections, is one entrepreneur who is seeking solutions to ease the KYC requirements bitcoin ATM owners would need to implement. Currently developming the beta for an anti-money laundering software product for cryptocurrency businesses, Coinnections’ creator believes US consumers will prefer bitcoin ATMs over bitcoin exchanges in the future.

“Bitcoin ATM operators benefit from their small size in that they can implement a true risk-based AML program,” Williams has said. “A true risk-based AML program can allow for lower identification thresholds while still allowing the user to buy a useful amount of bitcoin. ATM operators can also benefit from not having to comply with multiple regulatory regions.”

Though it might seem that the use of these machines has slowed, several Bitcoin ATM operators who wanted to remain anonymous said they’re still pulling in large amounts of cash from underbanked minorities.

Gil Luria, an analyst focusing on bitcoin and blockchain at Wedbush Securities, believes that bitcoin ATMs may play a key role in other less controversial gray areas of the financial system, such as helping the underbanked and migrant workers.

“The main use case for a bitcoin ATM is a consumer that wants another level of anonymity since linking bitcoin wallets to a bank account or credit card defeats the purpose. Funding a bitcoin wallet with cash may be helping these consumers maintain their privacy,” he said.

How the bitcoin ecosystem will develop along this fine line remains an ongoing narrative in the industry, though it’s one that, for now, might not have the benefit of venture capital or big bank investment.

Out of this association with crime has come the “blockchain without bitcoin” movement that has found regulated, risk-averse financial institutions and enterprises opting to build their own blockchain protocol without the bitcoin currency riding on top.

But whether or not bitcoin is used for the gray areas of commerce, it still stands as the only blockchain project that is currently in the wild and innovating on the clunky traditional payments process.

Thought this might go a long with the chat here, took out the garbage about drugs and made up stories by the writer.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you trust to bitcoin casinos? on: June 05, 2016, 05:11:14 PM
The key way to find out if a site is not trustworthy is to see how they handle support.
Its the one aspect that most sites over look if they are in the business to make money and not care to much about how they are perceived to be online.
Lot of these sites are setup in a manner that shows little planning and more fly by night style.
12  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: June 05, 2016, 03:55:29 AM
When you log out it does not unregister you from sit and goes,so people will hit you and get a free ride with your chips.
Some stupid player hit 4 different tables on me in a 5 minute period.

Think FJ should look into not allowing players to bleed funds in that way,its kid of scummy!
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: EU wants to Control the Internet and Destroy Bitcoin on: June 04, 2016, 10:28:38 PM
U.K has always liked dictating what is good for the population and then telling the rest of the world to follow suit.
I do see the problem being a lot more troubling because I recall a time before the internet when people ate everything the government fed them.
We could easily slip back into that ugly coma state and it will be business as usual. This grab at privacy needs to be brought out into the open so that even the dumb dumbs understand what they are giving up.

My comment about Infowars was not to make the link invalid, just to point out the mentality of the people that eat from that site as their main source of news.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: EU wants to Control the Internet and Destroy Bitcoin on: June 04, 2016, 10:03:44 PM
Option is usually a term they use as they stand over you with the water boarding.
Its the grind on us that people do not get upset because it seems small enough.
Then it becomes mandatory because it is working so well off fake stats they cook up.

If you want to understand infowars, give the call in segments a listen.  Cool
15  Other / Politics & Society / Re: US Hiring Grinds To A Near-Halt; Many Stop Looking For Work… on: June 04, 2016, 07:59:14 PM

You have a employment insurance that people collect once fired or they are ass out  most of the time?
That is what I am driving at,want to know if there is a break gap before they vanish off the numbers.

Thought the way we did it was slightly different in Canada.
16  Other / Politics & Society / Re: US Hiring Grinds To A Near-Halt; Many Stop Looking For Work… on: June 04, 2016, 07:31:58 PM
The unemployment numbers are usually crooked in some sense and unreliable.
In Canada we drop a person off the stats once their unemployment insurance runs out. So if you have not found work, you no longer count in the percentages. So they parade job gains that usually are all part time jobs and lower pay combined with that fact.

Does it work similar in the States?
17  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Legacy Blockchain wallets on: June 04, 2016, 06:18:54 PM
Do not recall how I did it but I was able to create a legacy account last night after bouncing around the sign in and eventually got to a screen that allowed it. Usually I get the please upgrade your browser.

Thanks for moving this to services,I tend to throw dumb questions I have in noob land due to not knowing where to put it.
18  Other / Meta / Re: I caught someone cheating in auction on: June 04, 2016, 06:14:05 PM
That is a interesting idea of having the account pay a penalty for misrepresenting themselves in a auction.
Making it double the amount they are seeking should stop higher accounts from doing it but what about the lower accounts which many use to hide behind?
19  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Former Facebook Workers: We Routinely Suppressed Conservative News on: June 04, 2016, 06:11:59 PM
That ban is really a black eye on democracy, hopefully it is not a increasing trend for this site.
Some what doubtful that they will wake up and realize the damage they are doing.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why arnt we seeing more bitcoin ATM popping up? on: June 04, 2016, 06:10:12 PM
You just presume we are all working off the same type of regulations when it comes to these BTMs.
Its pretty clear that some countries allow people to be extroted and ripped off through them.

The fun part for me is where these bitcoin machines end up being set up. Yet another one opened up in a restaurant.
Kind of a odd place to set up,especially due to the location drawing in mostly asian folks for dinner.
