101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Anyone +18 Play Gamble? on: February 16, 2024, 10:23:19 PM
Does gambling needs experience or anyone +18, even the inexperienced one can also play? Though playing gamble has a limited age grade or age bracket and the accepted is from  +18 years and there are some casinos hall at the door post, it is written clearly that it is only people of +18 can play. But what about the inexperienced ones, are they allowed to play gamble as well? Or they are also restricted to have the fun? In my observation, there are two elements to participate in gambling. One, you must above 18 years in my country and secondly you must have an experience to play, so I want to know if inexperienced people can also play gamble.
Anyone can gamble regardless of if you have experience or just a newbie and wants to try out gambling. As long as your age is above the required to legally play, then experience doesn't matter. Because you can learn this in the process. Moreover, learning about the casino games or even sportsbook are not that complicated. A simple research will do, thus even you're inexperience you can still play. But of course it is better if you already exert an effort to be aware of what you can possibly expect when you gamble your money.
102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe visiting a seer or spiritual house could make you win a game? on: February 16, 2024, 07:17:48 AM
So I was wondering if there is any connectivity here, or do you believe such could happen in your own situation? Can you do such a thing to win? Have you had the experience of going to such places to seek predictions on how the outcome or results of games could be if they worked in your favor or not? Have you had anyone say or tell you such before and how their experience was?
I have not tried to personally go to someone with such capability. But what I used to do before is to look for everyday newspaper with a horoscope feature. The lucky color and numbers are my reference to buy ticket for lottery. This sounds funny but yes it happened to me before, because I believe in superstition. However none of those gave me a fortune.

But there's a case (this is not about gambling) where I consulted a fortune teller online (according to reviews he is accurate) about something personal. All of he said happened after 5 years. I asked, if I will be given a male child and if we will going to have our own home (that time we're just living with my in-laws). And it did happened, I don't know if it is just coincidence. Anyway, there's nothing wrong if you're going to believe those superstition but in gambling keep in mind that it is a game of luck. So just enjoy the game and don't pressure yourself to win.
103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you beleive in the concept of "Luck"? on: February 16, 2024, 02:28:05 AM
    • Do you believe in Luck? If so, how do you describe your perception of this concept?
Yes. That's an important factor. However, we know most of the time it's not the case when we gamble because majority are losing their money.

    • How lucky do you think you are from 1 to 10?
    • Does your sense of luck in regular life correlate with your luck in gambling?
Just 5. I'm not that lucky in gambling as I don't often win but in our regular life, we should not rely on luck. If you want to earn money then get a job.

    • Do you believe that some special things or actions can increase your luck?
I believe yes. There are skill-based games wherein knowledge is your edge to somehow win. On the other side, in reality, it's necessary to exert an effort to achieve whatever goal you have. So if you're just waiting for your luck then nothing will happen. Because it needs an action to get a result.
104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The person who can’t control emotions in gambling will never earn money from it on: February 15, 2024, 11:32:32 PM
Nearly eighty percentage of the gamblers are doing gambling for the money making,So it was essential for the gamblers to make use of their strategies to win money from the gambling site. How your emotions affects your games, let me know your past experience.
Having a strategy doesn't necessarily mean you'll going to make money in gambling. In my experience, luck is still a major factor to win regardless of what games you play. That being said, gambling should not be treated as a way to earn money because it is quite risky. Instead of gaining, there's a high chance to lose your capital. The reason why we often advice the beginners to only use the money that you can live without since losing is inevitable. If you gamble with a desire of making money, this can only disappoint you once the outcome is not what you expected it to be.
105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How my gambling life started. on: February 15, 2024, 01:14:59 PM
I also started playing card games with my relatives using just a small stake as well. It's more on having fun and it serves as our bonding when we are together. But because any form of gambling here is already prohibited (aside from lottery since it is regulated), there's no way we can enjoy playing card games just like before.

Fortunately there's an online casinos where we can play at home conveniently. It became the new way for gamblers to keep playing. Though of course the risk of becoming addicted is there if you have no self-control.
    106  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: February 15, 2024, 10:43:53 AM
Is it currently better not to register there?
I am looking for a new bookie. The selection of bets looks good.
In my experience, Roobet is one of the best casino that I played in (sportsbook or casino games). Never had an issue playing on their site and the support is responsive if you have concern, so try it for yourself. But as others have said, there's a mandatory level 1 kyc, need to fill a basic details.

roobet is doing great with the marketing campaigns here in the forum, glad they keep it up after so many weeks.
Indeed. They became well known here because of their different marketing strategies (sig campaign, contests, games etc.) the reason why they became popular. Though they already lessen their promotions as well as their sig participants.
107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you quit gambling for a friend? on: February 14, 2024, 11:54:47 PM
Of course I stop if it's for my friend's good, but that's not necessary because our friend can of course access it at any time if he wants, it requires close supervision, only self-awareness is the most important thing.
I also think that things are like that, that's why I don't like to stop playing for a while and it's necessary only so that my friends can heal and not suffer, in fact all of us, as good friends, should Doing this type of sacrifice, not just for a friend, I believe that this can be done for any person as long as they are not suffering from the greatest dangers, it is something we should not do.
If this particular friend is a compulsive gambler, even they stop this bonding as friends, he will likely find ways to continue this habit since he's the type who is already hooked in gambling. Stop playing for a while is a little sacrifice and a good decision. However, that doesn't mean this friend will also do the same. Chances are, he might continue playing in other place with different companions or doing it alone. Nevertheless it's really sad to see someone started playing to have fun but ended up being an addicted just because he don't have discipline to only play in moderation.
108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To what extent have you hated yourself due to your gambling losses? on: February 14, 2024, 02:05:11 PM
I was going through reddit in the early hours of today, and came across a user who lamented bitterly through his post, of how unlucky he has been in gambling in the past few weeks, like almost a month now, he said he bets minimum, twice every day, but have not won a dime for the past weeks, and this made him hate himself so much, I sincerely felt pity for him, for I remember one time I lost a huge sum of money to betting, I felt so bad that I thought of killing myself  Grin.

So, let's share our worst gambling experiences, have you ever hated yourself so much due to lack of winnings in gambling? To what extent, and how did it end?
Losing is inevitable in gambling, therefore it must be expected already when you use your money to play. Consistent losses are certainly not funny at all but come to think of it, if you're not happy with what you're doing and it's just giving you stress, making you hate yourself for being so unlucky, do you think it make sense to continuously playing?

In my experience, I also felt the same way when I was a newbie in online gambling and has a high expectation to win. I thought I can double my money in snap and it's not hard. But gambling slap me with the real deal. Thus, if you can't bear losing your money, much better to not play at all.
109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here who retired with Gambling winnings ? on: February 14, 2024, 01:14:25 PM
Anyone here who retired with Gambling winnings ?  If not, how much you think is sufficient to retire as Gambling winning ?
I'm not one of those who are fortunate to earn a decent amount to finally retire being a gambler. Though this is not really my main desire on why I am playing but of course who don't want to win huge, right? IMO, this is subjective. Because we have our own way of thinking so if one is already contented, regardless of the amount then that's the time to retire.

Anyway, there are gamblers who already win a fortune that can change their lives for the better yet decided to keep on playing. Thus, it's not about the amount, it's about your will to already stop even your winnings are not sufficient to say it can change your life.

111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does even freezing a customer's account curb irresponsible gambling? on: February 10, 2024, 07:26:00 AM
If suddenly you went on a binge-gambling out of a lack of self-control or something else. For example, you deposit money in rapid succession after a series of losses and the casino management freezes your account. And when you call their customer support, they tell you that your account has been frozen for 3 weeks and the reason why they carried out that measure was because they suspected that you were gambling irresponsibly and decided to take that measure so that you can call yourself back to order, will you feel furious, cuss out, sign out of your account and register on another casino and continue betting. Does even freezing a customer's account curb irresponsible gambling or betting addiction?
Did you experience this or just a hypothetical question? Because it's unusual for casino to freeze the account of their player for being out of control. In fact, it is actually beneficial for their business if the gambler keep on depositing money, it means more revenue. So they'll never do this unless there's a violation in the gambler's end.

Anyway, if this actually happened, just shows the casino is not just after profit. Clearly they are concern to their gambler's behavior, preventing their player to have a further losses. It is actually a good thing. So if you are the gambler who experienced this and you are eager to play again to chase back what you have lost. Think deeply if what you're doing is right. Maybe it's better to refrain from playing this time and just do other activities to divert your attention.
112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a generous gamblers on: February 04, 2024, 01:54:02 AM
I just met a friend while playing in a lottery called Keno. He is a good gambler and sometimes hits jackpots. As a pensioner with grown children, he is a heavy bettor. I noticed that he is a generous gambler. He uses half of his winnings to treat friends, neighbors, and relatives every time he wins. He does this to invite good karma and since he acknowledges his gambling addiction, people who know him don't question him.
This guy is already enjoying his life since he already did his part to support his kids (and now they're grown up). As a pensioner and probably no one relying on him anymore, gambling became his source to enjoy life. I don't see anything wrong with that especially he is generous to share half of his winnings to those who are in need. Regardless how much he is spend in gambling and how often he win/lose, it's his business. What matter is he's not begging to anyone for money to use in gambling.

If i'm given a chance to win a decent amount, I will also share some to others especially to my family. Unfortunately, i'm not that lucky.
113  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Marvin Favis na scam? on: February 03, 2024, 12:28:28 PM
114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction does more harm than mere financial loss on: February 02, 2024, 12:20:30 PM
    Negative impression on children/ dependents
This is true. Kids who are expose to such surrounding wherein a family member is a compulsive gambler, might think it's just normal. Since that's the kind of set up he/she grow up with. We, as adult, should be mindful and responsible not to show to our kids what we are up to especially if this activity is not a good influence.

Decrease in overall productivity of individual
This is the case if a gambler is too much hooked in gambling and blinded by the potential profit that he might get. To the point he already forgot his responsibility and priorities in life because of it. That's the reality of the addicted gamblers who are not capable to control themselves.
115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling for fun vs gambling for the financial benefit. on: February 02, 2024, 05:22:48 AM
If our predictions are correct, it is fun and makes us happy. But there are times when we will lose because our predictions are wrong in estimating the team that has the chance to win, which may have happened many times before. Having money used to place bets is what makes gambling more fun, especially when we win. But when we lose, we will not feel happy and will be sad and disappointed because we lost. But we still place bets on other matches because we know we can win in other matches. But we should not consider gambling as the main source of income, especially if we do not have good analytical skills. It's better to use it as a means to have fun.

Ahhhh yes when we do gamble and our predictions are correct it is fun and makes us happy, but when you win the greed is there waiting for you to grab the feel.
Besides that for me when we gamble Win is just a bonus and if we set up our budget for playing games like this gambling with real-life money win or loss is still in the line. Yes loss makes us feel sad at then of they day but if we only do gamble for fun and still in a budget loss or win we might still find the fun in a game.
That's how it should be since losing is inevitable. Therefore we must be prepared for this kind of scenario. If a gambler can't handle such situation because of the high hopes to double his wager, then his main desire is not to really have fun but to gain. It's a human nature to feel sad when we experience to lose but it's already a given situation that we should keep in mind before playing. Thus if you can't bear losing your money in gambling then don't force yourself to play to avoid having gambling problems.
116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If a addict lives within, which method would you choose to help them on: February 02, 2024, 12:45:02 AM
Which do you think it's best? Some people do think that been soft and gentle will be more effective and some people think that been harder on them is the real love here, they need to make them stop by force.
IMO regardless of what you choose both can be effective. The point is, your goal is to keep this family member away from gambling so if it means you have to be harsh because that's more effective then so be it. Anyway, for me I prefer the number one, because gambling is not a sin. It's just that, this family member needs to learn his lesson to realize that what he's doing is not healthy anymore for himself and for his family. He needs support and guidance, someone that can understand the situation and will encourage him to change.
117  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we should prioritize investment over saving on: February 01, 2024, 11:30:55 PM
Well, saving is always a good choice because that will also serve as your solution everytime there's an emergency and having an instant cash is necessary. Therefore, it's indeed never a bad idea to save. We should not chose the other option (investing) if we can do both. Because you can still invest in any opportunities out there without draining your savings.

Financial management has a crucial role in order to do this. We should know how much is needed funds to allocate for the investment that you wants to venture. While leaving some of the money as savings so incase something didn't go as planned, you still have other option where you can start over again.
118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another question? Tell me your average amount per bet and your monthly income? on: February 01, 2024, 10:44:13 PM
You know many gamblers don't make budgets for their gambling experience, it is very risky to be gambling without making budgets for it. Making budgets for gambling will help you save money. If people can budget for everything other things in life why not gambling?
Or they do intend to set a budget for gambling but unable to stick on the set amount because they are influenced of their emotion to play more. Probably many gamblers can relate to this especially those who have no self-discipline. It's a human nature to commit such mistake but we should not be used to it. If you're a type of gambler who can't stick to your set budget then might as well think if it's still healthy to continue your gambling habit since this can lead to more problem.

Anyway, I only spend a maximum of $2 when I bet with a set budget of $20-$50 everytime I gamble. That's what I can only afford.
    119  Other / Off-topic / Re: Having a regular/steady income is important as a gambler. on: February 01, 2024, 04:24:41 AM
This is one of the crucial thing in order to gamble without having issues on how you can sustain your gambling habit. The problem for some gamblers are, they are confident playing even they don't have job or a side hustle and just relying in gambling to double their money. Sometimes they even resorting to taking a loan just to gamble.

Hence, before deciding to gamble your money. Be responsible enough to look for a stable job to prioritize the needs of the family. This way you can also set a budget for your leisure.
    120  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Unofficial Gcash Thread/ Discussion on: January 31, 2024, 07:28:10 PM
