121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You can not win if you do not risk on: January 31, 2024, 02:55:30 AM
However I just want to say that in the game world gamblers are always there to bet and the important thing here is when a gambler can not risk he also can not win, true or false?
That's true. But it should not be your mindset when you decided to gamble your money.

Because if your main desire is to profit, chances are you won't be able to move on easily since you have an expectation to profit in gambling. While if you gamble just to kill time or to entertain yourself, then winning is just like an incentives. It's true that you can't gain anything if you didn't take risk, but you have to play smart on when to apply such saying.
122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pay off DEBT by do Gambling? think again before you loss more on: January 31, 2024, 02:33:47 AM
Paying debts using winnings from gambling is fine but trying to pay debt from gambling is a big mistake.
Exactly. We should not rely in gambling to pay our debts because it is a game of chance, quite risky and there's no assurance to double your money. That particular guy put himself into a worst situation for using the money in gambling because he do believe he can double his money in snap.

The first rule is only use the money that you can live without. Therefore we should not be too hopeful when we gamble our money. This is, if you really know what you're getting into and aware how it works.
123  Economy / Gambling / Re: QuitGamble.com - Free Help for Problem Gamblers on: January 30, 2024, 10:52:35 AM
Yeah , back then I thought I knew everything about gambling but now that I totally understand the importance of professionals I kept telling my Addicted Cousin to try consulting or seeking Help from a clinic.
though up to now he kept denying yet I will not stop to ask Him and help him get through this problem.
If he's still in denial, maybe he thought and consider his gambling activity as normal. Sometimes if you are already in such stage, you won't notice that since you're blinded and tend to ignore others.

Anyway, he needs to have a will to change what he used to. Because no matter how hard you advice your cousin to seek for professional help, that's going to be futile if he don't cooperate.

125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When I'm emotional, I LOSS! on: January 30, 2024, 02:39:37 AM
Hey, guys! Are any of you emotional gamblers who often lose because you can't control what you feel? When you lose, do you tend to double your bets or chase your losses, driven by a pride that can't accept defeat? Do you consider this a problem? If so, has anyone here been able to solve this kind of problem themselves, and if yes, how did you do it?
It's really a problem if you can't control yourself when playing. That's the first thing that we should learn since gambling is a game of chance and there's no room for high expectation. It's inevitable to have losses therefore we should be prepared for it. Though it's a human nature to be tempted to chase back what we lost (by doing a martingale strategy) believing that it is the answer to recover our losses fast.

The solution to this is having a self-control. You're the only one who can do this thus before playing condition yourself not to exceeds on your limit and learn when you should stop. If you keep chasing the losses because you can't control your emotion then expect to have repetitive situation since you can't handle yourself.
126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the definition of a Gambler? Do you consider yourself as a Gambler? on: January 29, 2024, 10:30:04 PM
The fact that you spend your money in gambling regardless of your desire on why you play (to profit or to entertain yourself) that makes you a gambler and just right to be called one. Even you're not the type who play without discipline.

Well, im not a compulsive gambler and just playing for fun. But still, i'm a gambler, and it's not an issue if someone tag me as one. If you don't want to be called a gambler, then quit playing. Because people who sees you play in a casino will really consider you as a gambler. It might not be comfortable but that's how it is.

129  Economy / Gambling / Re: Responsible gambling on: January 25, 2024, 09:20:34 PM
If we had been in a particular condition about life, then we may not have needed someone to be preaching it to our hearing that we need to gamble responsible, once it begins to manifest and cost us than we could bear, then we will know the relevance of what we are having and missing as well, some people would be more best taught a lesson when they learn it directly from their own experience.
Well, you have a point. However, do we have to experience being in such situation before going to learn? If we can take precaution by keeping these tips in mind to be able to prevent ourselves experiencing such. But I agree that sometimes you have to go through it before realizing your mistakes to have a better understanding and to know the importance of responsible gambling. Experience is indeed the best teacher but if you can learn beforehand that would be even better.

131  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best time to buy Bitcoin is around the time of Bitcoin Halving: April 22, 2024 on: January 19, 2024, 07:40:06 AM
Anyone new to Bitcoin needs to buy from now until the halving. Bitcoin prices always go up after the halving from 2016, 2020 and now 2024.
We're not certain if history will repeat itself. Because anything unexpected is always possible to occur so we must be prepared for it and not just relying on what happened before. That being said, the best time to buy Bitcoin is when the price is declining and you can afford it.

Unfortunately, most people will only buy during the Bitcoin bull run hype during 2025 when the prices are at an all time high. Which is the worst time to buy Bitcoin.
Some investors prefer to join the ride when the price is already increasing even it's quite risky. We know it's not the ideal time to accumulate but they don't want to wait for long and wanted to engage themselves when the market is already in bull run. Not advisable but we can't coerce them to do as we say since we have different strategy.
132  Economy / Economics / Re: Logic of life on: January 19, 2024, 03:29:59 AM
So, before you can move from earning $100 dollar monthly to $1000 per month,
One of the major thing you must scale up is your knowledge.
Knowledge is really crucial because that's how you can gain skills to use for improving yourself and to expand your resources to earn money. Sometimes one don't have to be a degree holder in order to succeed. Because even if you didn't finish your studies, but you're still learning through self studying (since it's already available online) that would be a big help to gain knowledge.

Experience will also play a vital role for self-growth. This way, you can maximize your chance to look for more opportunities for a better career since your mind is filled with knowledge and experience as your keys to reach your goal.
133  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: January 19, 2024, 01:02:41 AM
Another DIP buying opportunity might be coming! I'm not sure how low, or if this correction continues to fall under $40,000, but buying some Bitcoin with any sort of discount should definitely be "greeted" with open arms. Don't miss the opportunity!

Buy the DIP, and HODL!
Indeed. Probably many of us are expecting the price will already skyrocket after the recent good news circulating crypto as a whole. But it didn't go the way they expected and the price had correction. This might be a not so good news for investors who have a high expectation that bull run is already coming. But for investors who still want to engage themselves or wants to accumulate more, this situation is an opportunity.

Therefore, don't miss the chance especially if your plan is to hold for long term. Remember that if you want to gain something then you need to take risk. So buy and forget for a while. In time, you'll see the worth of holding Bitcoin (long time investors already proven it).
134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever regretted selling your bitcoins ? on: January 18, 2024, 11:54:27 AM
I have a regret but it's not that hard to move on. Because even I do sell my Bitcoin for a cheaper price before, it didn't go to waste since I still gained from it somehow. Big or small, what matter is you're in profit when you sell.

Moreover my decisions in the past serves as a lesson for me to not repeat the same mistakes again for not having a long patience and trust. I think if there's a situation that I really regret, that is not buying Bitcoin when it's just few years old and the price is quite cheap. Who would have thought that it will became this big now. Anyway, it's all in the past, so let's just move forward.
135  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Between placing a wife on monthly allowance and opening business for her on: January 18, 2024, 09:25:37 AM
Now my question is between having a house wife that will take care of your home and receives monthly allowance and establishing a business of her own for her which is more preferable and why?
Why not doing both? As a wife, I can do business while taking care of the kids and our home. It's more empowering that you know to yourself that you can do something aside from being a plain housewife and just waiting for allowance. However, of course we still need the support of our husband because it's not an easy task.

Being confident that you already did your part for establishing a business for your wife so she can provide for her needs are not a good mindset. It is still different and extra special if the husband exert an effort to give her wife the support that she needs not just financially but more on physical and emotional aspects.
136  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Web3 Games on: January 18, 2024, 03:00:51 AM

137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another question? Tell me your average amount per bet and your monthly income? on: January 17, 2024, 11:16:39 AM
Hello gamblers, this is a kind of survey aimed at getting to know my fellow gamblers better, particularly in the context of sports betting. I would like to know your average bet amount and your monthly income.
I prefer to not say my monthly income since I don't find it necessary to discuss. But my set budget for gambling as my leisure is 5% of my salary (daily job, sig campaign and income in my business). My average bet is around $1-$2 in Baccarat (that's the game I usually play).

I'm not like others who have a decent funds when they gamble because i'm just playing during day off to kill time. It's important that we gamble in moderation so that we can control ourselves to stick only to our budget. What matter is you are satisfied everytime you gamble.
138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Buying More Tickets To Increase Your chances on: January 17, 2024, 07:25:23 AM
How about you as a Lotto bettor do you buy more tickets when the prize skyrocketed and how many more tickets are you adding
Well, I'm not tempted to buy lottery tickets just because of the jackpot. Often, I just buy (regardless of the jackpot prize) because I have a numbers in mind. Before, i'm a regular bettor of keno lotto (if you're familiar with it) and also had the chance to win a decent amount solely because of luck. But in national lottery I don't often bet, i'm not certain if there's a winner already of 6/55 lotto but what I saw on the news are, someone got lucky in 6/49 super lotto, winning over $11 million dollars, that's quite huge.

For me there's nothing wrong if you want to double your tickets to increase your chances. However keep in mind that lottery is a game of luck so have less expectation to not regret using your money just to buy tickets.
139  Economy / Economics / Re: girl math vs boy math on: January 17, 2024, 12:51:33 AM
so lets show you how people think about money
(example people are 20yo in 2020)
Well, this is somehow realistic. Many women at the age of early 20s are not thinking of their future and more focus on material things that can satisfy themselves. However we should not generalize women as not all have such way of thinking because there are also men who sometimes think that way too.

IMO, it depends on the mindset of each person since regardless of the gender, one can act wisely to spend their money where they can gain in the future rather than spending it in material things. In the end, clearly the future depends on how you act when you are still younger and still capable to work and earn. Because certainly there's a different outcome when you chose the wiser side than the other.
140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cashout or wait till the end? on: January 16, 2024, 07:09:30 AM
cashing out or waiting till the end of game which is more better?
If i'm in such situation I will probably choose the safer side and that is to cash out already because it's a sure money. The amount is already decent to enjoy and it's given in front of me so I will not refuse it. Even the outcome (if I waited) is in favor to me, that would be fine. I might have a little regret but it's gambling, you'll never know what's going to happen next.

Anyway, this still depends for every gamblers since we have our own way of thinking. There might be gamblers who have guts and firm on taking risk while others might just chose to give up and cash out the money.
