41  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does gambling excites you ? on: March 28, 2024, 11:51:36 PM
Does gambling excites you? What motivates you, winning or just the fun in it ?
The thought that you can possibly win in gambling can excite someone to gamble their money. But we know it's not often the case for majority since it's not really a reliable way to gain money. The reason why many of us are losing our funds since it's inevitable especially for luck based games.

Anyway, I play mainly to have fun, but of course winning does excites me (although I have less expectation). That's why everytime I gamble, I already set in my mind that I will lose my money. Therefore I just have to enjoy the game since this is my way to kill time everytime i'm bored and have money to spare.
42  Economy / Economics / Re: Save while young better than wait on: March 27, 2024, 11:26:22 AM
There are different pressing issues around me that require immediate attention, and even when I attempt to save, something important comes up that requires the money. So, it's challenging and almost impossible to save as a young person due to these reasons.
I've been through the same situation before wherein the money I earned is only sufficient for essential needs and to pay off debt. I can relate to some thing is suddenly comes up when you attempted to save since I also experienced such. But it's all in the past, my financial status improved when I decided to not be contented on my main job. I look for other opportunities to maximize my earnings and it really did help. In your case, you're still young and still capable to work more than one thus if there's an opportunity just grab it. That can help to save for the future especially if you're going to invest your money.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why you need to have spare USDT in this bullrun. on: March 27, 2024, 04:22:02 AM
With the realization of what appeared to be dream, it looks like some new projects could be the centre of attraction in this coming bullrun as investors are looking for ways to maximize profits by being among the early birds in a particular project hence the reason you need to have some USDT kept aside to take advantage of this evolving new projects. What are your thoughts about this? Let's discuss.
Well, there's nothing wrong if you would like to save USDT to invest in new coins that might be a hidden gem. As long as you're aware of the risk and fine regardless of the outcome. But often, majority of new coins are scam and investing is a waste of money. One of the reason why many investors are afraid to take risk and still prefer the established ones since it's already proven to be less risky.

Anyway, we have different strategies. Therefore, if you think doing this can maximize your profit so be it. Just don't forget to dig deeper so you won't end up in a scam coin.
44  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Binance being banned in the Philippines in a few days on: March 26, 2024, 10:55:07 PM
Kakapasok lang na balita from ABS CBN< sana di fake news.  Grin

Philippines blocks crypto giant Binance

45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: End Goal or Keep HODLing? on: March 25, 2024, 09:49:30 PM
I wouldn't have said this but I am much more concerned about the fact that we have been hearing so many people talking about holding Bitcoin for the long term and never selling. I find it so confusing that after investing so much in Bitcoin for years we won't want to sell our bitcoin till we die.
We have different goals. Some investors prefer to keep holding because of what they believe in. It's an advantage that they're still able to go on with their lives without the need to sell because they are not relying on their investment. The history that Bitcoin keep on increasing as time passes is a sufficient reason on why many of us chose to be a long term hodler.

Also, I have the belief that Bitcoin will keep breaking new ATH forever. Should I leave my Bitcoin forever without selling it or set a goal that I have in mind and when it reaches that goal I sell and take my profits?
It depends. No one is stopping you to sell if that's what you think is the right thing to do at this moment (as you've said, you're already in profit). Because you're the only one who can answer this question for your Bitcoin. Thus, much better to have your own analysis because if you're going to ask the investors, probably majority will encourage you to hold.

47  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rich or poor gambler, who should risk more? on: March 25, 2024, 03:49:51 AM
If you're poor you shouldn't be betting a single freaking cent/satoshi on any gambling what so ever.  It will only make things worse, in almost damn near full probability.  Here in the US we've got video poker /slot machine parlors all freaking over the place.  There is more slot machine parlors in my city than any other kind of business by far.  Not to mention in most restaurants, gas stations etc. If you visit them, the type of people that are always there...poor people.  Same as the majority of people who buy lotto tickets and scratch offs. If you're poor, invest that money in your life, in your future, not in a low odds game or chance.  When  I see people buying a scratch off I can't help but think how much better that money would be spent taking a shot on some cheap shitcoin.

Most times, the reason we fine poor person more in a casino hall is because, the rich are mostly based on online gambling with their mobile phones or PC but the poor, not having free access to this things would want to make use of public casinos. It's true if they have spent those money on a cheap altcoin usually meme that give a x5 or 10 it would be been a good start for them rather than playing gamble and looking irresponsible, they both are based on probability, but the reason gambling is more preferred is because of the quick result it gives.
Quick result and easy to learn. Well, anyone can gamble as long as you have the money to use for betting. But only few can be fortunate to win. Poor people who gamble usually wants an easy money. Thus even there's no guarantee to win since it's quite risky, they still prefer it rather than investing. Moreover, although the poor is lacking of money and struggling to survive, there are still people who prioritize gambling over buying their essential needs. It's because of the thought that they can double their money in snap.

Anyway, regardless of you're rich or poor, the risk is equal since you're going to spend your money. It's just that, even the rich lose, they still have other resources to gain money as if it's nothing, while poor don't have such.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC or altcoin on: March 23, 2024, 10:45:06 PM
If you want to invest, you should definitely invest on Bitcoin as a trusted coin. Because no other coin compares to Bitcoin, Bitcoin is the king of all coins. That's why investing in Bitcoin should be done safely, because the risk is very low. Because it has survived faithfully in the market for a long time but I have seen thousands of Altcoins destroyed from the market. This is why I like Bitcoin the most.
Yes it would be best to invest in Bitcoin. Investing in Bitcoin requires you to have the ability to hold for a long time. If you can hold for a long time then investing in Bitcoin can also earn you a lot of profit. However, among the altcoins, Ethereum (ETH) is the most trusted coin. In my opinion $800 dollars, 60% in bitcoin and 30% in ethereum and 10% in other coins would be better. However, as a beginner it is best to invest in full amount of Bitcoins.
I agree. Bitcoin is the top choice and less risky to invest in compared to altcoins, therefore good for newbies in crypto. But it doesn't mean alts are not profitable, because there are established ones that are worthy to hold next to Bitcoin. It's just that by choosing alts, we need to do an extensive research in order to find the right one that won't likely turn to shitcoin as time goes by.

Nevertheless, for beginners it's crucial to always DYOR before investing. Take time to gain knowledge so you know what you're doing and not just buying any coins just because that's the current hype.

50  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Man bet his life savings on 1 spin of Roulette on: March 22, 2024, 03:42:25 AM
Surf on Twitter (X) and then find this video,
where a man makes a bet at the Roulette table using all his saved money.
It looks crazy and people warn him, but with that tension he gets his bet.
That's a crazy decision to use all your savings in gambling especially in Roulette since it's a luck based games. But this guy has a guts to bet all his savings, a total gambler indeed.

He was very lucky and won the Bet.
But this is very risky.
Fortunately he managed to do so. Because if the outcome is the worst he will probably regret his decision to bet all his money. In this case, it's worth it. But then, it's not a good attitude of a gambler because the rule is to only use what you can afford to lose, that being said it's better to gamble using a spare money and not your entire savings.
51  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is It Time to Buy More BTC? on: March 21, 2024, 08:30:25 AM
I've been watching with interest as Bitcoin has pulled back over the past week after hitting new highs. Part of me wants to accumulate more while the price is down, but I also wonder if we may see it drop further in the short term.
We can't exactly predict the next movement of Bitcoin. If only we knew then probably many of us are already rich now. Therefore, invest base on your belief, understanding and analysis about Bitcoin. Tracking back the past history might be a big help for investors who have doubt and still hesitant to engage themselves. It started with a low price that many investors ignored but look now, who would have thought?

Nevertheless, buy Bitcoin not because you just want to join the ride, but because you have knowledge about it and you are aware of what you're getting into.
52  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake and Bruno Mars An Example of How Gambling Addiction Can Affect Anyone on: March 20, 2024, 10:55:21 PM
The lesson to learn is that gambling addiction is not respecter of Gender, economic status, race, nationality, religion. It will mess you up, bring shame and disgrace to you if you don't abide by the rules of responsible and do all you can to avoid it.
Indeed. Anyone can become addicted and be drowned in debt regardless of your status if you play without limit.

Letting yourself gamble using a borrowed money is not an advisable thing to do.

It's just one of the few rules that a gambler should know before playing. However many of us just ignored it resulting to a deep problem if they're already too hooked.
53  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Naranasan Nyo Na Ba Na Masisi Dahil Sa Cryptocurrency on: March 19, 2024, 10:46:05 PM
Danas ko to few years back.

54  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do the juice Worth the squeeze? on: March 18, 2024, 01:15:33 PM
Do you think that the benefits in gambling Worth the invest of your money and your time with knowing that your chances are Just 50/50?
Gambling is a game of luck and quite risky (as you've said). But it's not an investment, so it's not the right term when you're spending your money in gambling. If that's your mindset (treating it as a kind of investment for spending your money) you're putting your funds at risk just because you're hoping to gain for playing. Although that's possible of course but the chances are low due to house edge.

Therefore, it's only worth it to risk your money if your main desire is not really to gain but more on to entertain yourself. Thus be aware of the consequences before playing.
55  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do big time traders or investors do for fun while waiting? on: March 18, 2024, 10:21:43 AM
Well, i'm not a whale trader/investor but I can share what I usually do while waiting for the result of my trade. Since I also have a day job, I just trade as my side hustle hence i'm not the type who often monitor the market. Still focus to what I used to do and have a set time on when to check my trades.

Anyway, I just recently return back as a trader due to the good market condition. This is usually the case everytime bull run seems approaching, traders are becoming active.
56  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Is Legal In Our Country But if You Promote It Online You'll Go To Jail? on: March 17, 2024, 12:12:01 AM
I find this unusual and weird I live in a country where gambling is legal there are lotto outletss in every corner, there are horse racing betting outlet and there are online betting station that originates in our country and yet there is a pending bill that if you're going to post or talk about gambling you'll likely going to get fine of 500k pesos or $90k and you will also land in jail.

So if you post that you won in horse racing or you post the winning bets in daily lottery you will likely get charged and penalize, so what do you think of this law, is this right?
Probably it's because of the influencers promoting gambling. They have many followers idolizing them especially the minors who are already exposed in social media. Many of these popular personality are now promoting gambling which is not really a good influence to many. Thus, it's not surprising if the Government will prohibit gambling promotions online.

Although it seems not fair since there are also physical gambling (like lotteries) wherein many people are exposed regardless of the age thus there's no difference really.
57  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A call to self-examining our gambling habit. on: March 15, 2024, 11:55:36 PM
As gambler when last did you self-examine your gambling habit to create that awareness based on how you are gambling in order for you to be quite sure if you're within a considerable or an acceptable range of a gambling habit that is void of addiction or the tendencies of gambling addiction.
It's been a while since I last gamble. I became busy due to work so I didn't have much time to play. Moreover, because of the price increase of Bitcoin, I also refrain myself not to spend it so I can gain more if ever the price continue to soar high. Anyway, it's really crucial to examine ourselves to know if we're still playing in moderation or maybe we're already exceeding on our set limit. Because we can prevent ourselves becoming addicted if we have discipline and aware of the limitation everytime we gamble.
58  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you believe in savings or investment on: March 15, 2024, 01:42:12 AM
For long have been around here seems like people who belongs to this world think much of investment than savings while the real world focuses more on savings but if I could recall correctly, any money in savings doesn't yield and add to the account while investment is what gives us money or profits at every end of the day week or month irrespective of how little it could be it's better to have investment than savings.

What do you think?
I agree. Investing is better rather than keeping your money in banks as savings. There's an annual interest but it doesn't make you rich since it's quite low, hence not worth it. Although it's not really bad to have savings (of course it is still crucial) however, if your goal is to gain more money and if you want money to work for you, then investing is the answer.

But many people nowadays prefer to just keep their money just to be safe on scam and afraid to take risk. There's nothing wrong with that however if that is your mindset towards investing, there's no chance to gain more since saving doesn't generate profit.
59  Economy / Speculation / Re: Road to 100k? on: March 14, 2024, 10:52:10 PM
I have high expectations that bitcoin will reach 100k but will it reach 100k without any major decline in price? Does it seem realistic that from 70k, bitcoin will continuously rise up?
$100k is possible to reach, but too early to say for now. As the price after reaching the new ath had a correction (though it's just moving in range of $70k - $72k). Many of us are bullish that the price can go higher than what it was currently and it might happen after bull run. Well, only time can tell because anything is still possible.

Anyway, it's better to be prepared and focus on how you can take advantage the price for your own benefit.
60  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Huwag magpadala sa at maging practical on: March 13, 2024, 10:43:12 PM

Basta may profit, maliit man o malaki ok na sakin yun.
