Great work guys.  It brought me great pleasure to wake out of bed this morning and see the next blackcoin pump has started. If you have followed the price of Blackcoin like I have there have been several "floors". Once a floor is established and enough people have dumped their cheaper bought coins for profit, the next upswing occurs We saw this at 600 satoshis, 1500 satoshis, briefly at 3500 satoshis, 5000 satoshis approximately, 8000 satoshis and then at 9500 satoshis. As many of us expected, when it broke through the 10000 satoshi barrier it would go on it's next pump. Newcomers, this is the 6th time we've observed this pattern. I would encourage newcomers who have an interest in Blackcoin to accumulate now. Remember this is 100% proof of stake so there is not tons of new GPU mined coins being dumped on the market every day by miners for profit. |

I bought in at 2400 for all my litecoins.. I am so scared were never gonna see 2500 again  Althought their is alot of support around the 2k mark.. But this is the biggest dump so far.. Althought again.. if you check the hcart their has been a major pump that stilll needed its correction. And so much volume.. I can't imagine a coin like this crash out of nothing with so much volume and the history of Blackcoin behind it.. Did you do any research before buying in or did you just see a nice 50% increase number for the day in price and decide to hop on the train and hope for the best? Blackcoin which is far superior took a long while to build up steady support and went through many dips and rises before it was solidly above 3000. It would make no sense at all for this coin to rocket up to 4000 and stay there this early. It's pure greed and the bubble was going to pop. IMO you bought in at the peak. Either sell at a loss or hold on and hope this doesn't do a mintcoin. Copies of new coins tend not to do well after the pump and dump phase, we'll see what happens with faircoin. |

I'd like to offer some advice, never go all in on a coin, you might end up regretting it, trust me I had to learn the hard way   Mintcoin fell from 60 satoshis to 13 satoshis very quickly after it was pumped. Similarly after the first Blackcoin pump, Blackcoin fell from 1500 to 600 in the space of a 36 hours. |

I would love if people used other exchanges... maybe these speculations would clear up then, you never know what's going on behind the scenes on some exchanges. I refuse to use Cryptsy after a lot of things that are shady on there and I somehow see a 2nd Mt. Gox happening with them. Prelude is freaking awesome and my new favourite but it has almost no volume because it's new and hasn't established a userbase. c-cex is okay.
I'm a fan of Mintpal cos they donated towards the Coinkite campaign Does prelude.io accept USD deposits? That would give it an edge over Mintpal and compensate for their lower volume. |

Iconic, as far as I'm concerned you've been a success. BC has reached 10K on every exchange, except for Mintpal where it hit ~9900. No need to go overboard now or throw some claims around if it doesn't get there today. Look at this positive : ~1000 BTC worth of BC has been exchanged at this price level over the past 36 hours. This is actually good, because when we finally do break 10K, this price level we are at now is going to become a very strong support level.  agree with everything, just to add blackcoin hit 9970 on mintpal
Than you...However, this is not about it going over 10,000. I want to know why is someone pushing the price down artificially. Everything I said I would do was done. But...A lot of BTC has been spent trying to keep BC from going below 9000 and it should be well above 10,000 now.
PS: I am not "using this as an excuse"...it is fact.
Possibly a fake wall, won't know until tested. Don't worry about it not being over 10k, the longer in hangs out with solid bids at 9k+ the better the base and the larger the leg up. what we need is to get the few dozen medium players into hundreds, then thousands.... then.... the world +1. Don't forget a week ago we would have been very happy if someone told us that the 9000's would be the new floor. I remember when the 5000's were the new floor. And 1500. And 600. More often than not once we find a new floor, we then move upwards.  It's taken a lot of buy support to build up this floor and maintain and now the hard work is done as the floor is being maintained with only 400BTC of trades. Compared to 900 BTC of trades. Overall less buy support is needed and less people are dumping on average. |

Big walls = big players getting involved. I don't think we've ever had such large walls on both sides simultaneously. Maybe it's time we just got used to it? I started noticing someone trying to push us below 9000 this morning so I had a 22 BTC buy floor established. So at 4:45PM EST today another attempt to push BC above 10,000 started, and as soon as momentum started the 36 BTC wall appeared out of nowhere. This is not a coincidence...someone is sabotaging BC for whatever reason.I think you're off on this one pal. Don't try to analyse "walls" in crypto it will drive you mad. + Remember not every wall is a fake or an attempt at manipulation. I've put up a lot of genuine walls in my time (not in BC though). So Ramdom do you agree that market is what is bringing down the price? I agree that Mint has suffered another crushing day and I feel sorry for bagholders like you who keep trying to spread obvious FUD in the blackcoin topic Ps. I want to personally thank everyone who has supported the PR project and has showered me with kind words!!! I love this community and will do all I can to help BC grow. That being said...The day is far from over and a lot is happening behind the scenes. A buy wall on Mintpal has been established @9000 sat to keep BC above 9000. I will like to note that someone is purposely driving the price of BC down and a lot of BTC is being spent to keep it up.

Thank you too for the efforts. Don't forget guys, the effect of this marketing drive will also be long term. Good point on XBL. I didn't think of that. The similarity of XBC to XBT could be a strength marketing wise. Perhaps we should also be quick to "claim it" as ours. Since any other Coin that begins with B would likely want XBC Gold ticker is XAU and Silver is XAG XAUUSD Is gold/USD and XAGUSD is silver/USD So XBCUSD would be the Blackcoin/USD ticker. Later this year when we make it big time and need our own legit ETF. Didn't know that. If we get an ETF this year I'm buying that Blackcoin speedboat and retiring Blackcoin is trying to appeal to Wall Street and Main Street. Why not stay one step ahead. Nice link. I think that with coinkite coming on board this is great step in the right direction as they are pitching themselves as Point-of-sale specialists with their own terminals and of course Blackcoin with it's 10 second transaction times makes it the best suited crypto for point-of-sale payment for goods! If we pitch this correctly and market it well, we certainly stand a chance of catching investors eyes. I have an idea! It wouldn't take us 5 minutes to explain Blackcoin. Even if they aren't interested right now, I bet they would be tempted to secretly pump a few dollars in Blackcoin early on now.. which would be great in a years when Blackcoin is worth more since we want powerful influential people to be significant holders in Blackcoin! I would stress in any email the lightning fast transaction speeds, partnership with coinkite and the uniqueness of 100% pos meaning millions of dollars dont get wasted per day in mining if Blackcoin reaches Bitcoin's popularity. |

time and time again mintpal has proven themselves to be pretty damn awesome. they saved me from the angry mods at coinmarket.io.. you can find all that drama at the last 10 pages of the old coinmarket thread before it got locked. thank god for mintpal. cryptsy got some big time comp. pretty awesome of them to support blackcoin the way they did. That exchange has got a life long supporter in my for that gesture. I don't recall ever seeing Cryptsy do something like that. But that's like comparing chalk with cheese, Cryptsy has given me a few heart attacks over the year with their missing deposits and other issues. Cryptsy always sorted it out for me I should stress, but still, Mintpal seems in another league. The crypto gods were smiling down on me as I dodged a bullet with coinmarket.io. I was one button click away from depositing BTC there before they went weird. Thank satoshi. It's great for Blackcoin that we're the biggest coin on Mintpal cos if Mintpal starts accepting USD desposits someday it will a big win for us. |

why not use BLC instead of BLK?
I thought of it too, but I guess it looks too similar to BTC. BTC | LTC | BLC BTC | LTC | BLK The BLK definitely stands out more. I personally would rather keep BC as I think it's kind of cool having a two letter ticker, but if having a three letter ticker is a requirement to move this coin forward, then I'm fine with it. Why not start with an X letter so that Blackcoin is all set to trade on the world markets? I already talked to Soepkip, but he wouldn't listen to me. XBC, XBL, XBLC I reckon it's cos X-something it not very user friendly to Joe six pack down the street. I know having an X means it ISO compatible or something but me personally I think we should reconsider that later down the line. When Bitcoin's market cap was <5 million I doubt there much discussion about ISO compliant currency names.. but that's just my take on it We could always have a community vote on it I like BLC. |

What should be illegal is for a coin to have premine potentially worth as much as 420 BTC at one point, and then not give a single bit of it back to the community of bag holders.  4000 BTC worth of MINT were bought in the 30 to 60 satoshi price range. Now the price is 13 satoshis. Whilst Blackcoin has rocketed up. There is going to be a lot of MINT bag holders who are desperate and will do anything to try and regain some of their losses. I feel like this community is mostly well informed and smart towards these tactics and I've done my bit trying to make it clear that there's some "noise" in this topic the good readers need to block out. |
