Did you know that when BC started someone held about 75% of it? (blackhandgroup)

Don't make shit up and present it as facts.

lmao, dude ask Josh from blackcoin foundation, ask Jabulon ask anyone who was there in the early days. I didnt even think it was true until i heard it confirmed a couple months ago. But it simple is true. Blackhandgroup had more than 50% of BC in the early days.

Weak argument. Prove it or stfu. You're already backtracking and changing it from 75% to 50%.

I'm a BC supporter and have been defending you even though I'm not involved in Bitbay... and now I read you passing off bullshit about BC as facts. As someone who has had people doing that to YOU a LOT recently, (passing off bullshit as facts) you should be more careful what you say.

No proof = no facts.

If you want a hard number on that go ask Josh or other BC members. I know it was more than 50%, I'm pretty sure it was like up to 75%. Its old news, i dont care about it I was simply making an analogy. In a sense though, you are correct, and it is currently irrelevant. Regardless, it did happen and everyone in BC knows about it.

So still no proof. Maybe you are just a gullible idiot after all.

Don't mean to be a debbie downer.. But have the forum on slack doesn't seem to be helping both XC and Block continue to see new lows? What gives? Thinking of selling all my stash. I would be happy if the price was stable but it continues to drop like XC.

Any insight, news or optimism/hope the Block team can share for existing and potentially new investors to calm fears? Arlyn, Dan?

I wouldn't be concerned by a Block drop. It's only 2.5 BTC to buy the order book back up to the ICO price. And the ICO raised almost 1000 BTC.

If there was a large or moderate amount of selling volume like in Bitbay post ICO then it would be concerning.

Maidsafe was similar btw, dropped immediately post IPO, but on low volume. A couple of tiny 50 BTC pumps later and it's now tripled up.

Wow. What is up with price?

Why is it continuing to trend down? New lows every week. This can't just be fud. There is no volume either. Where is the bottom?

Any XC team members have insight, news, and optimism to share from slack?

Come to slack and find out. I was concerned as well, but after speaking to certain people in Slack I am now feeling very optimistic with the news I've heard. Also, Dan hasn't stopped working on the project.

Most coins have been downtrending for months.... Monero, NXT, Darkcoin, Blackcoin etc. Investing in alt currencies is risky. Even when everything goes right the price can still go down.
626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitBay | Decentralized Marketplace | Unmoderated Thread on: December 11, 2014, 10:01:38 PM
Dzimbeck, you are seeing firsthand what Bitcointalk has become.

Legitimate, genuine projects (xcurrency, blocknet, bitbay) get run into the ground by trolls.

What is happening now is EXACTLY what I saw happening in the blocknet and xcurrency topics.  Fudsters making up complete bullshit.

I'm not invested in this project but you have my sympathy.

People are slowly going to realise that growing a healthy, successful community for a new coin here is almost impossible. I suggest you follow the path of coins like Maidsafe, NXT and others which have built up communities outside of bitcointalk and don't rely on this forum to support the price. Because as you can see, there are many toxic individuals with agendas.
627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] The internet of blockchains | XBridge | true cross-chain P2P on: December 02, 2014, 08:47:29 PM
Do you see Maidsafe or Bitshares with a heavy presence on this forum? No.

This subforum is over-run by trolls. It's not a professional or productive environment to host our "base discussion".

95% of the people that regularly posted and supported BLock/XC here have zero problem with Slack.

And for the uninitiated, from investopedia:

DEFINITION OF 'POOP AND SCOOP'
A highly illegal practice occurring mainly on the internet. A small group of informed people attempt to push down a stock by spreading false information and rumors.

^
That is what Block and XC has been subject too. And that's not conjecture, people have been outed as having multiple dummy accounts to push their agenda against Block.

As for you other guys wanting news, it's a Sunday. Why ask when people are taking a weekend?

Presumably because Dan said we will have a test/prototype p2p daemon by the end of the month and it's the last day of november...

I now see where all the FUD has been coming from as of late. I totally don't understand why you just said that statement. I know a lot of folks involved with the SuperNEt project and they would call you a variety of words for saying that. I think both techs understand the importance of coexisting and each offers their own way. Grow up.

I would fully agree with you if this was actually a legitimate tech. Even if it was, the benefits to the investor is far greater with supernet given that it is backed by actual holdings and will produce a multitude of revenue streams that are all to be shared with investors. This is nothing more then friendly advice to people to do some serious research on these two projects and determine which investment will give you the greatest chance of returns.

Most especially take a look at the actual code repos before you make that decision. I think you will be surprised to find a massive difference. That chart above is nothing but hot air that could take 10 min to type up.

Let's not forget... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=841223.0.

Supernet started before Blocknet, it's unfair to make a comparison.

Also the last time I checked, Supernet was 10 times higher in market cap than Blocknet. Which would account for the current differences between the projects.

If Dan and the team delivers the tech as promised, then Block will offer greater returns. The difference in price reflects the market consensus of the likelihood of Dan and the team delivering. The FUD screwed that up because I can tell you, Dan delivered a ton of high quality tech for XC and he is a skilled coder and man manager.

Supernet holders would do well to hedge their risk by investing in Blocknet IMO.

Why did the founder leave Ripple for Stellar?

Can someone pick a exchange please, so we can send 2000 emails for that pair.

I know it's not everyone's favorite but I vote cryptsy

bittrex would be my vote, but ill go back to cryptsy if this happens.
bittrex has no usd markets, right?

i'll also go with cryptsy.

alcurex.org would also be an option, no volume there what so ever, but they have usd markets. They also call microCoin a top crypto currency.  shouldn't be too hard to convince them.  Grin Grin Grin

One of the best exchanges IMO is BTC-E. I don't know their policy of accepting alts - they have very few alts and no changes their since a year or two.

However they also have some alts that are not that good - Feathercoin and Terracoin... Maybe they could be open to trade XC/USD. But some officials of XC should ask them ...

Zero chance unfortunately.

The admin has said himself in the btc-e chatbox that they aren't taking on anymore alts.

They actually tried to get rid of Feathercoin and Terracoin a while back but there was a community backlash so they changed their mind.

Considering we are 4 times lower than the last stable price range that we held solidly for months, XC is surely a bargain buy right now.

All it will take is one bit of good news e.g. the business to business application of XC Dan has hinted at, and XC will rocket.

Daily trading volume is peanuts. One mini pump and watch this rocket take off into orbit.

I am heavily invested in Ultracoin also  as I believe transaction speed will play a big part in the coming years.

I'm just curious as to why one would pick Ultracoin because of transaction speed. Many POS coins are almost instantaneous now. Darkcoin is about to rollout what will probably be the fastest by far of all currently as they can avail themselves of a 2-tier technology to support transaction speed.

Even Bitbay itself is probably about as fast as Ultracoin. What's the pull ?

Darkcoin "instant" transactions will take 20-30 seconds to confirm on the real network. This has been confirmed by the DRK dev himself.

[snip]

Peace Out  Cool

I asked the dev weeks ago whether it's trustless and he said no.

This was in this topic.

Do your research before making an investment.

FYI I am no longer holding this coin, managed to sell it all off at the peak for once.

Lots of activity in the XC topic today as XC development starts heating up again.  Cool

It seems like all the major updates and news are being announced first over at http://xctalk.com/

It's a very friendly community and free of FUD - please take 5 minutes out of your day to make a post there if you're an XC supporter.
637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XC][XCurrency] Decentralised Trustless Privacy Platform / Encrypted XChat / Pos on: November 21, 2014, 09:44:52 PM
TORSTICK shippings is a pretty big news and a nice update. It is sad to do not see the team in here giving the announcement and capitalise on it...............

I'm pretty sure Dan only posted it on the official forum to encourage people to actually visit the forum and use it.

Really people should be going to the official site for the updates... and then the info trickles back to here. This is what I see happening with NXT, Bitshares, Maidsafe etc.

We should support this cos look how fragile it is for us to base the community here.

Just my opinion.
638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] The internet of blockchains | XBridge | true cross-chain P2P on: November 21, 2014, 08:35:00 PM
If you really believe you're telling the truth unicornfarts, why do you have to create loads of shill accounts to post it?

So you can create the effect that lots of people share your opinion?  Roll Eyes That's the REAL scam.
639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] The internet of blockchains | XBridge | true cross-chain P2P on: November 21, 2014, 07:43:00 PM
Mad?  Na I'm not mad bro.

Slightly irritated at how many whack a moles it takes to keep noobs up to date on how bad the scam you guys are running (promising to talk about how you spent previous funds, not delivering, asking for more money etc etc etc)

So many shill accounts that just bury you by saying FUD instead of a legit response it is a little tiring.

But I didn't lose any personal money so I ain't mad.

Dude everyone knows about all your shill accounts on here. You have no credibility.

If nothing is delivered in the next 6 months feel free to bash the project. In the meantime, stfu. Kiss

Don't trust ursay.

While this is your choice, you seem to share no reasoning which validates your opinion.

I'd go along with hoertest's opinion. You appear to have a lot of time for obvious fudsters while at the same time responding to official XC team members with a lot of snide sarcastic remarks. You complain a lot and it's been a long time since you've posted anything positive in relation to XC and you've recently removed XC from your signature which makes me think you're no longer invested. It's my opinion you're butthurt at making a loss and now just sticking around to create negativity out of spite.

Yup. I agree also.
