1381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | PoS | No premine | No IPO on: April 21, 2014, 03:40:24 PM
Trading volume is slowly doing down which is actually a great sign. The lower the trading volume, the less amount of BTC required to maintain the current price. Eventually the sellers will run out of Blackcoin to sell since there is no new coins being mined and the next upswing occurs  Wink I remember seeing this happen at 9500 and 4800.

I think our "magic number" for the next serious pump will be 60k.

See you guys at 300 satoshis.

Guys,

Where can I find some market charts for BC ?

Buy/Sell, Volume, etc... Something like Bitcoin Wisdom could be great Smiley

Thx !

best to wait for the BC Mega Dump that is clearly in the pipeline.
How do you see a mega dump in the pipelines? lol I see about 25 BTC in buys over 49000 Smiley
I know many bought in last week higher and may want to get some of it back,,,but a mega dump

because everyone is saying buy now its a sure thing and what a great investment it is usually price doesnt do what all the new buyers expect lol.  and check how many people sold when it went up the other day...

You have a point , many shitcoin they are always saying buy now buy now, in hope to pump the price. BC is the exception, (and of course is not a shitcoin) these ADVICES are not new, and when BC was 1500-2000 sats, a month ago, thoses advices were saying too, so do some reading on this thread, go back a month ago, you will see.

Anyway the best tool to eradicate shitcoin is Cryptsy Wink

I get that BC was the exception, but theres like 8 news clones now with same supply curve, how is BC going to be the exception now?

The clones help us cos they are saturating the market. Even the clones which have gone 100% proof of stake are crashing.

All your posts you bash BC though so I don't expect to have an intelligent discussion with you.

The last batch of trolls disappeared when the price rose from 35k to 48k.

1385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Faircoin - MULTIPOOL PAYS --- 20%--- BONUS! for the next week!! on: April 21, 2014, 02:09:20 PM
This whole exchange thing sounds just like the Micro Coin (MRC) plan. Are there differences? Micro coin developers are opening an exchange (Alcurex) and claim that MRC will be prominent, but of course that doesn't mean much as they will be accepting all currencies (it's an exchange!). Meanwhile, MRC has drifted to 1 to 2 satoshis as the developers have pretty much concentrated on launching an exchange. It's supposed to finally launch this week.

I guess what I am wondering is how exactly does yesterday's announcement help current FAC holders? If it works out anything like the MRC scenario we are all in for a slow downward trend to oblivion as the developers turn their attention toward their new potential money maker. Now, I am sure that they will say that they are still fully behind the FAC project and that there are big plans to highlight FAC on the new exchange. I am guessing that is what they might say because that is what the MRC team said as the coin gradually went to near zero.

Now, before you all jump all over me, I am a coin holder and want FAC to succeed. I just think that there are legitimate questions that must be answered. If any of you have legitimate answers, feel free to explain to me why my concerns are all unfounded. But, try to refrain from calling this post scam, spam, Fud or any of the other usual nonsensical name calling that too often goes on in these threads. It usually says more about you than the one with the skeptical questions.

And if the exchange gets good volume and they make a fortune with trading fees, they won't even care about the coin anymore. I'm sure they'll make a half hearted attempt to do something in that case, but deep down they will have their new money maker (the exchange) and won't give a shit about the coin imo.
1386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 6 reasons why you should buy or hold onto your BlackCoins! on: April 21, 2014, 01:40:43 PM
Wow i can't stop laughing by looking at another 'prediction' of IconicExpert on another thread:

Lets do some simple math and predictions based on history and conservative estimates. Based on March numbers lets estimate BlackCoin value will grow a steady 360% each month.

April 30: ¢0.12
May 31: $0.43
June 30: $1.54
July 31: $5.54
August 31: $19.94
September 30: $71.78
October 31: $258.40
November 30: $894.24
December 31: $3219.00

WTF 3200 for one Blackcoin on December  Grin

Bitcoin has only 12 millions by now and it's trapped at $500 mark. But Blackcoin with hundreds of million will have the price of 3200 for each ?

Seriously you're dreaming, wake up, be more realistic.

Actually it sounds absurd but you have to remember each day over a million dollars of new Bitcoin are dumped onto the market. It's no wonder the price doesn't go anywhere with the constant dumps. It takes a big media spike or massive event for the price to lift. With Blackcoin, we wave goodbye to profit dumping miners.

However, obviously those figure are optimistic and best outcome scenario. Even if Blackcoin *only* goes up to $5 (more realistic) by the end of the year that's still a 1000% increase on your investment. That may sound unlikely to you but you have to remember 100% pure proof of stake coins have different market mechanics than a proof of work coin. That is why Blackcoin has done so well.

Don't forget also that when the price of Bitcoin goes up in price so does Blackcoin. So if Bitcoin goes on a nice bull run this year it would have a multiplying affect on your profit if you held the equivalent of that BTC in Blackcoin.

There's plenty more going on behind the scenes too for the future. Both marketing wise and project wise.
1387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Which altcoin should replace Auroracoin in the ALTDEX? on: April 21, 2014, 01:30:50 PM
Blackcoin has consistently been in the top 3 or 4 most traded coins in the world for the last 2 weeks. often number 3, displacing DOGE.

It is also now number 9 on coinmarketcap quite comfortably (more than double above the coin at number 10).

I therefore think your index would be enhanced if you accounted for Blackcoin.  Wink
1388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 6 reasons why you should buy or hold onto your BlackCoins! on: April 21, 2014, 01:23:53 PM
The great thing about Blackcoin is the lack of new coins being dumped onto the market everyday. That creates huge downward price pressure on coins like Litecoin, Bitcoin etc. But not for Blackcoin.

As for the clones of Blackcoin, here is what I posted yesterday before the price of all the clones crashed downwards:

"You'll notice a pattern in this community, a new coin comes along that gets success and then a flood of clones try to cash in on it.

- We saw this with DOGE coin and coins trying to be memes
- We saw this with the IPO wave of coins
- Then we had a wave of "country" coins
- Now the new flavour of the month is 100% POS coins

I honestly think a lot of people are going to get burned if they don't do their research. Either, pick the market leader (for 100% pos it's blackcoin, for meme coins its doge etc) or wait until the next new thing comes along and invest in that. Problem is the next new thing is risky, so you have to be willing to slap your bitcoins down on a coin that is very different and could easily fail.

Best case scenario is they make *some* profit but nowhere near the same as Blackcoin. Worse case scenario is all these coins get drowned out in the sea of new POS clones and crash and burn after the initial hype. Since we've seen the worst case scenario play out three times already on the past few "coins of the month", I see the same happening again."

Great to see all the Blackcoin clones crashing down in price  Cheesy

Asiacoin, Faircoin and Whitecoin have all crashed downwards. MINT hasn't moved for weeks after it was dumped. More PoS coins coming to saturate the market further: information coin, community coin, a few others I can't remember.

The more of these clones the better... it's completely saturating the market and each clone is free advertising for us  Cheesy

Once again my predictions were spot on.

I wouldn't hope for an immediate recovery once the coin switches to PoS either. When blackcoin switched to PoS, the price went up about 10%, stayed there for a day and then plunged down to 600 from 1400 when nothing happened.

Definitely better opportunities to buy in than now.

Did BC invited 2000 BTC volume on listing? As it currently stands WC is pretty much being mined exclusively by multipools. Its distribution would be far better than BC and hence the support.

If Dev team don't abandon the ship for quick success. This coin is going places.

The majority of people who bought into this pump and dump have got burned so far by the price fall.

Why is the dev going to hang around when he premined a huge amount of the coins for himself? If he's smart he probably dumped them already onto the market at 2000 satoshis.

Maybe he'll stick around but I wouldn't bank on it.

Don't forget the market is also being flooded with Blackcoin clones now. By the end of next week there will be a half a dozen of these things trying to be the "next blackcoin". It's simple logic that's not possible.

Why would the Dev stick around? Because he has 2 million coins of a coin that has huge potential. If you ask me he has plenty of incentive to stick around and help whitecoin be successful

If I was the dev I would dump them. That's a big chunk of BTC. What is the wallet address holding the pre-mine? It is transparent or shady? If it's hidden ask yourself why.

Blackcoin a winner.

It's also designed to be investor friendly. Litecoin, Bitcoin and other have thousands of newly mined coins dumped onto the market everyday causing CONSTANT downward pressure on the price.

With Blackcoin, there is no such pressure.

Always bet on black.

If people are wondering what has happened to the price, I warned this would happen yesterday:

...and what will happen when this guys will dump all their BC ?  Huh

1   BKamGtcg6Cwe6f3zy2AmFsaxN1PwNSF2Cv   3 000 000.00000000 bc (1 300.50 btc / 640 887.70 usd )
2   BKYCpC6yttWiJ8fk6fHbQvLoqC6oc1Q4rb   3 000 000.00000000 bc (1 300.50 btc / 640 887.70 usd )
3   BJ2y2twPhc1taeuJcQrjdxjuz7qDZGQzAh   2 236 983.22656154 bc (969.73 btc / 477 885.01 usd )
4   B7nvWE1M7prrVpoC5ddkQ1kv3TFSKmYsEb   1 915 523.39053670 bc (830.38 btc / 409 211.79 usd )

The first two are exchanges.

Secondly, these guys didn't get to be large holders by doing stupid things. They paid big money for this investment and are not going to flush it away.

Why do exchanges store a huge even number of coins at a single address, where no coins seem to be going in or out? I mean, those top two addresses shown above each have only 1 transaction in (on the same day around the same time for both addresses, about five minutes apart) and 0 transactions out.

Layers of storage.

An exchange has a hot wallet/s, cold wallet/s and if they have a lot of coins colder wallet/s which rarely get accessed (case in point mtgox's 200k bitcoin address which was untouched for a long time).

You will see similar in other coins with high trading volumes.

Someone just scruwed the wales so badly..they were lowering their 50 BTC+ sell walls to lower the price and then BUM some buy from 43k to 53 in second ..there was 150 BTC+ sell orders in that range

The walls were removed when the first buy order hit them. I was watching it Smiley
no...i saw in trade history..someone bought from 43k to 53k in second..including one 44 btc sell wall on 44.5k and one 63btc sell wall on 45k

No. The 63 btc sell wall was removed. However the other wall was partially eaten. Several people including myself posted simultaneously here that the wall was removed.

I expect we're going to have to endure a few daytraders spreading gloom for the next 24 hours (ones that got caught on the wrong side of that dump and panic sold their coins thinking it was a legit crash).

The price has been rock solid for days and gradually increasing. 500 BTC worth of sales out of freaking nowhere is obviously someone trying to manipulate the market.
