Again, the 3 laws of science prove that God exists. They are:
1. cause and effect;

3. universal entropy.

These three laws along with the fact that the universe exists, show that a Creator made the whole thing. The creator matches the definition of the word God.

God didn't mess up on anything. He made people perfect. He gave freedom to mankind. He instructed mankind as to how and how not to use his freedom if he wanted to live successfully. Mankind decided to use his freedom in destructive ways. Then God through much pain and grief, figured out a way to give mankind salvation from man's own self-destruction. Now, we have some people accepting the salvation, while others are denying it.

Doesn't sound like a bad or messed up God to me. Keep on rejecting His salvation for you if you want. But realize that it is you who is doing the rejecting, not God. God is constantly offering.

So what is your stance on the whole religion thing, then?

Strong evidence makes for a strong case. If it were spelled out for us, it would be fact and we would not have to believe. We would know.

Nobody knows for a fact that the 3 laws I science that I mentioned are absolute laws in the universe. But they are so strong that they are held as laws. Strong evidence. Very strong evidence.

There are the Bible witnesses about Jesus. Evidence and witness to the miracles that no man could do without being in partnership with God.

It might take a while for you to understand how the 3 laws of science show that God exists, and it might take some study to show that the Bible can't exist because of the way that it came about. But this is an important topic in life. It is a life and death thing... eternal life and death.

So, it would be to your benefit to double check things in detail.

Is Grandma still alive?

What I mean is, for thousands of years the Phoenix Journals were silent, never divulging themselves to anyone. Most people understood that some deity existed. Several major religions dominated the world. Then, along comes the Phoenix Journals starting a few years ago if that.

I believe in God. I respect the Abrahamic faiths but do not adhere to them (as God knows.)

But I do not necessarily feel the need to believe in the Pope because I have an understanding of the history of the formation of the Catholic Church - i.e. the political context at the time, the Council of Niacea and the fact that Christians were becoming a political thorn in the side of the occupying force, after 300+ years of persecution.

I believe Jesus was a prophet. His divinity is up for debate, but that is certainly not helped by Atheist positions (some even choosing to ignore the obvious fact that a man called Jesus existed, as the historical record appears to show.)

The transition of the Roman Imperial Cult into the Roman Catholic Church was an interesting political U-Turn to say the least. But not at odds with the Roman Empire's history of bringing foreign religions 'into the fold' in some way, be it through the creation of sub-governance as was the case in Jesus' time or though other means.
