Spots wait a sec about the Pi stuff: if i moved my wallets datadir to an external drive there would be no harm right?
The harm with Pi's is about the I/O to the SD card, too much writing to it can burn em out way fast. So using an external USB HDD drive, not a thumb drive, for the data dir where AFAIK all the writing is done can significantly extend the life of any Pi based online wallet setup.
There's always some form of harm though. Just less of one if using an external storage device.
Ok got it. Thanks for the heads up.

Sure spots has been quite so the only solution is let them die and force us to change. Can't find how long Teeth stake for any ideas

If everyone holds onto their coins (which I don't recommend) and we don't sell, we will make the 24hr volume go down, and all his coins will get removed from the exchanges, that'll force him to either spend his own money to keep the 24hr volume high enough that his coins won't get deleted, or it'll force him to not go through with this swap. Either way we'll win. If he want's to kill our profit, we'll kill his. He's outnumbered, nobody will buy into the new coin after the swap making it worthless. Then he will feel the same as we did.

What if...

he creates his new coin like he wants to
distributes that coin based on the holdings at the snapshot time like he wants to
and lets the other coins run their own course like we want to?

We would see if someone steps over and picks them up. Its not that hard.

I highly advise people to keep their wallets of the old coins after the swap. You never know what could be coming.

This really bothers me. We can keep MMXIV and the others running if we want to... Even if we have to change their names.

What is your conf named, including file extension?
teeth.conf
so, im just stumped.... should i try saving wallet.dat and wiping everything else out and starting from scratch? i dont think it will make a difference but i must be doing something stupid and the easiest thing is start from the begining i guess...

Make sure ports are not blocked

Here are some more nodes

Shit, idk what is going on. i've tried starting from scratch and still no connections. no idea. its not a firewall issue.

Seriously, this i getting out of hand. I can understand Vegas making arguments, reasonable or unreasonable, though still smart, but this thread is turning in a pool of retards.
I had mmxiv, i sold em at loss, didn't wanna take risks. I don't blame Spots, he did what he had to do, now stop it people, you're not gonna change anything.

Vegas, stop shilling bullshit in here, including your site. If you're out, get out. We all know you will be back later, but do not shill garbage here, I will delete it, and I've been very lenient letting people post whatever they want

Thats why I stopped posting. Im just going to go through the swap and quietly move on to other coins. Spots would be the first to say, there are hundreds of other choices when it comes to coins. Guys if you want some GREAT suggestions read my site. There are MANY high pos stable, coins without any drama. My 3 favorite coins are Hobonickels and Bottlecaps and Tekcoin. Rock solid and stable, ohhh and netcoin.

Vegas
Vegas you flip flop all the time is this your final decision? Why wouldn't your favorite coin be Vegas..........plus I think in your blog every coin is your favorite right.

Where did you get that im flip flopping? Make no mistake I WANT to get out of Bucks, but youve made it so I cant. So Im going to suck it up and go through the swap and then GTFO. My favorite coins rarely change, unless you can prove otherwise.

Vegas

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

You can write all you want, I'm pretty sure anyone here for more than a month doesn't take you seriously anyway, but if you just shill garbage again it's getting deleted
