I am thinking most of the hashing power is on 0.3.3.3 still. I'm pushing out a fix for the miner ASAP. Taek, when can we expect that? Thanks! Basic fix is already on Github in the form of pull requests. Depending, it'll be available sometime between tomorrow and Monday. Is there a sia testnet? How to set the wallet to use it?
Nobody knows? Still no testnet. We'll probably have one for 0.5.0. Is there a strong reason that you need one? I can help you set one up but you'll need to recompile Sia with some constants changed.

Looks like this is the death of SIA. I would sell now guys. This coin is an obvious P&D operation. STAY CLEAR!
It's not a p&n.. it just lacks some decent management..
Ouch. We're doing our best. Wallet has come a long way. Database issues now resolved. File renewing will be ready soon (hopefully with an ability to set a 'max price' on your hosts/files). New website should be ready in 2 weeks. I need to keep reminding everyone. Sia is 'beta', and Sia is 'bleeding edge'. We're the worlds only decentralized storage platform that supports both uploading files and renting out storage space. Development is advancing steadily, we are working out the kinks and improving things every month. Please, perspective is needed here people! Sia is one of the few crypto projects with a seriously viable business plan for making money in the real world. It passes the Warren Buffet "if you can't understand the business in 5 minutes, don't invest' - Jo Sixpack can understand Sia in 3 minutes - decentralized cloud storage, as a buyer and/or seller - it's that simple! Sia is one of those rare 'chance of a life-time' opportunities to be part of something potentially as large as Google or Facebook, but it's early days, and I'm actually surprised at the low number of bugs and issues to date. Perspective people!! Hey Stop hogging all the METH You Crazy MethHead. Decentrlized Cloud Storage, what a joke. "potentially as large as Google or Facebook" if anyone reads that and thinks "really" (you deserve to loose ALL of your BTC). Storage should be on the Blockchain, clearly way out of these Devs reaches, if people want to see how real Decentralized on the BLOCKCHAIN is done, they should check out I/OCoin. But be careful, the posters in that forum are a bunch of little girls.

Can't tell if sarcastic or not... Assuming not, that's insanity. What if five people want to store a couple TB on the blockchain. All of a sudden there is no one who wants to store the blockchain. I'm not betting Sia is going to be bigger than Dropbox, but it's certainly a more feasible and practical way forward than just jamming everything into a the blockchain.

I need low diff to test miners. Not having a pool, I thought the simple way, without modifying the wallet, was testnet.

For testing, you can use a developer build. running `make` will build siad using developer constants, which are designed to be minable with a CPU. For GPU mining you can either modify the RootTarget (found here: https://github.com/NebulousLabs/Sia/blob/master/types/constants.go) or just mine a few hundred blocks and let the difficulty adjust on its own. Especially if you are testing stuff, you probably want a high amount of control over things like difficulty and block time. Best way to control that is to manually adjust the constants yourself.

Hey Boarders, Just received a email from Storji, you have heard of them right? Well they beat you to it Email extract. $384,000 Invested from 11 investor's - Storj brings cloud storage to the Blockchain to make your files cheaper, faster and more secure than services like DropBox and Google Drive When Bitcoin invented the Blockchain it made it possible for you to own your own money and send it cheaper, faster and more securely than when using a bank. It also gave investors the opportunity to profit from the same privileges that banks and governments have had for decades - the ability to benefit from the profits of newly created money. Now Storj has taken that very same model and applied it to file storage. We all use services like Google Drive, Apple iCloud and Dropbox to store our files and we place a lot of trust in them to keep those files safe and secure, but what if we no longer have to? Storj allows users to store their files encrypted across a decentralised network of computers rather than trusting one company to keep your files safe. This means they can be stored cheaper, faster and more securely as there is no central point of failure. It also means that anybody can rent out their spare hard drive space and get paid for contributing to the network. Storj is the AirBnb of file storage. Qualifying Investors can check out full details about

Qualifying Investors can check out full details about So what's new? and what's your point? maybe they beat Maidsafe to it? but they fall short as well like Storj Storj is what it is and Sia has its own means of storage and how you pay, and how you can earn money by renting/hosting out that storage. How much can I earn per GH/month by hosting Storj? Can I share my files publicly using Storj? or upload various file types to sunfish servers with Storj? for others to download and use? or is it only good for storing my junk files on... can my files be used for collaboration with Storj? Also: can I mine for Storj coins to pay for my hosting? or would I be "forced" to buy coins at market price only... can I use Storj coins for other things? I just don't see where Storj has anything to offer that compares or even comes close to the potential of Sia. Storj just doesn't measure up at the end of the day. Sia will virtually have its own global economy which can be expanded upon, even rival Bitcoin possibly one day as a very reliable and secure form of cyrpto currency. Ok, good luck with Storj, report back in a year

Taek mentioned a fix coming for the miner. But like mishax1 said, wait for a pool soon and the updated miner. You can still mine using 0.3.3.3 if you must with existing miner.
